Amayado Rei is considered a prodigy for his age, he had invented a device to explore human brain at the age of 13, had written several essays on human cloning which in turn had led to scientific discoveries, Amayado Rei was nothing if not special.
Amayado Rei- no Yamada Rei was born on the 23rd of January and have had a very happy normal childhood, he had two loving parents that cared about him and were supportive of whatever shit he came up with when he was young even when he came to them and told them that he has started a project that will bring the world peace and rid it of all the weapons at the age of 10, his dad, Yamada Ren was a Japanese literature professor at Rikkyo University and his mother, Yamada Tazu was a mathematics teacher at the high school near their home.
Rei was an only child but that didn’t mean he was antisocial; it was the opposite actually. Rei had made it his goal in life to befriend whoever crosses his way and knew every single person in sunshine city for now, he will move throughout Ikebukuro as he grow up and will befriend even those who try to run away from his charms. Although when it came to one girl and her family, he couldn’t make them fall for his charms. Akashi Doremi was everything Rei had hoped to see in a person, she was smart, she was strong—strong enough to punch people through walls-- she was a nerd -not exactly same as him but still one albeit being a closeted one- and even liked all the animes, mangas and light novels he likes!
Akashi Nayuta—Naya-chan for short, was a beautiful girl who had the most beautiful set of eyes that look like she had precious gems for eyes, she had a bright shade of sapphire blue for her right eye and a beautiful shade of bright heliodor for her left, a long silky ebony hair that reached her waist and Rei bets it would probably feel soft–if she could allow Rei that close that is—and had the title of Ice Queen because of her infamous glare, a glare that didn’t scare Rei even one bit, the glare, in Rei’s opinion made her even more appealing.
Nayuta was an enigma to Rei, she was an infamous delinquent who scared half the students in Ikebukuro to death, she acted all high and mighty as she was their school’s top student who participated in every competition out there but at the same time she would cry at the slight mention of Uzumaki Kushina and her reunion with Naruto. Doremi also tries to feed all the animals she comes across and whines sadly if one refused to eat or just run away from her.
Yamada Rei remembers the day he met her like it was yesterday, he was 16 at the time. His homeroom teacher came and said that a new student would be joining them today, and motioned for the new student to come in, Rei looks up from where he was doodling and suddenly felt like the urge to hold his breath for a second there because of how beautiful she was
“As you all know, we have a new transfer student. Akashi-san had moved to Ikebukuro from Okinawa recently so please treat her nicely”
“Akashi Nayuta, pleased to meet you” the girl bows politely before the teacher motions for her to sit in the seat on Rei’s right, she nods her head and walks to her seat, offering a small smile to Rei as she starts taking her pencil case out. Rei averts his eyes away from her and tries to focus on what his teacher started to say, but fails because she asks him if she could sit near him to see his textbook, Rei agrees and is rewarded with another smile and somehow all Rei thought was if this what Edward feels when he sees Winry? And decided he would make it his goal in life to get to know her and hopefully marry her when they get older.
Obviously, the heavens above hated him because whenever he tried to talk to her she would be called by her cousin who hated his guts for no reason beside the fact that his name was Yamada Rei and that he was trying to get to know her cousin.
Three weeks later he accidentally spilled his milk on Nayuta while he was walking backward as a joke with his friends and was met by a sinister smile as he bowed to her in apology as she assured him that it was nothing.
Yamada Rei’s life started to get even more interesting from then on because of one Akashi Nayuta, a month after she joined their school, she started getting bullied by the most popular girl in their year and Nayuta decided to have none of that bullying bullshit and beat the girl into a pulp when she called for her yankee boyfriend to save her, Nayuta then started fighting the said girl’s Fanclub and won every fight and since then, she was known as the ice queen because as soon as she was fighting a very cold breeze would come and move her ponytail like those cool shounen anime protagonists. Again that didn’t scare Rei, but he decided to distance himself and watch her fights from a far least she decides to make an enemy of him instead of fall for him.
Until one fateful day when gods probably decided that they have had it with him. On that day, Yamada Rei, blood type AB, born on 23rd January, an Aquarius through and through got pushed down the stairs by a beautiful girl—no, the most beautiful girl he have ever known, it wasn’t done on propose and might have been totally his fault for taunting her about the Naruto light novel she was reading.
The world spun around him but all he could focus on was how Nayuta’s eyes looked at him, his mismatched one met with hers and Rei swears that he can’t breathe.
“Oi! You dead yet? I won’t carry you to the infirmary, so you better get up on your own, say something if you are alive or don’t… either way it doesn’t matter but I’d prefer it if you live long enough to bid your parents goodbye at least” Nayuta says as she pokes his head with a pencil and Rei just groans
“Naya-chan you wound my heart…”
“Ugh and yet he lives another day, how sad is that?” she grumps and pokes the pencil harder into his head before taking another pencil out of her bag and start swirling them in his hair like spaghetti causing the pencils to stick to his head and Rei felt that he was like a dollar-version of Saiki.
“Naya-chan, why do you hate me so much?”
Rei never gets an answer because Nayuta decides to step on him and started to walk away after her cousin came and told her that a teacher would be there to check on Rei and carry him to the nurse’s office. Later on that day, while he was resting the nurse’s office, Akashi Nayuta pokes her head inside the infirmary to check on him.
“I won’t apologise for what happened because it is your fault that karma came to get your sorry ass after you said that Sakura is weak”
“Correction: I said that she seemed weak in this novel, you know Sakura is the best female character in Naruto”
“And that’s where you are wrong, Sakura is the third best, Kushina being the first and Tenten is the second, Tenten had the potential to become the hokage but everyone is too weak to admit it”
Rei looks at her speechless because oh my god they are finally about to have a conversation without being interrupted, yes even if it was about Naruto, he opened his mouth to say something, anything to keep their conversation from dying and keep Nayuta by his side for a bit more, he knows that Nayuta fights their school thugs and street gangsters at the end of their school day which is ten minutes from now so he might as well spend those last 10 minutes with her.
“Anyways, I got myself two strawberry milk boxes and thought I might give you one since Akemi doesn’t like strawberry milk” Nayuta says and throws one of the boxes at him, Rei swear that he saw the tips of her ears turn red.
Rei knows that what she said was but a lie and that her cousin’s favourite flavour is actually strawberry while Nayuta hates it, he grins at her as she opens the milk box for him, the rest of their conversation is filled with Nayuta grimacing as she drinks her milk and Rei talking about the space and the current issue of Shounen Jump that came two days ago.

Rei does realise that he fucked up, thank you very much, he didn’t mean to start ignoring Nayuta, but he felt that his situation called for it.
Just when Nayuta started to warm up to him, have lunch with him -Akemi still sits with them but at least she no longer interrupts them- Nayuta even agreed to study with him --not that he needed those sessions but a man gotta take what he can—Rei felt himself falling deeper for the girl and decided to run away from the source of his feelings because according to his friends, girls love hard to get guys more than anything in the world.
Avoiding a person can only go so far and for Rei it only worked for three days because after those three days, he got punched in the face by Nayuta and called him an arsehole, before walking away. Things after that incident were hell to say the least, Nayuta started fighting more and more until every single person in Ikebukuro knew of the ebony haired girl with a red ribbon that punches whomever stands in her way. Rei was impressed and scared but mostly felt horny too. Akemi tracks him one day and tells him to man up to what he did and that he better confess or else she will cut his family jewel’s off with her bare hands.
Rei complies and agrees to “man up” and confess, Nayuta looks at him with a blank face before rejecting him and telling him that a simple confession won’t make her fall for an annoying brat like him but if he works hard enough to get her to steak her heart she might not reject him again. Obviously, she punches him in the guts and tells him that if he dares avoid her again her next target will be his balls.
Rei goes home with a smile because his dream girl just told him that he might still have a chance and god he will work his ass off in order to make her fall him.
