How to know a Dimitrescu loves you: A-Z

Summary:

Mystery and secrets are an entwined product surrounding the four lords of the land, particularly around the Dimitrescu Castle and its vampiric occupants. No one has lived to tell the uncovered secrets that surround Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters; albeit the four maidens who happened to capture a Dimitrescu's heart.

Recuperating for the evening, the four maidens share with one another how their vampiric lover shows their love and that no matter what others say, they have proof to show that even monsters can fall in love.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

“Want a glass?”

“Please, I definitely need it.”

The other three girls smiled as the new arrival entered the room with a sigh, clutching her temples as to fight off an oncoming headache as she joined other girls in the sitting room, flopping down into an armchair and letting out a tired sigh before accepting the glass of alcohol offered to her by the blonde. She knocked it back professionally and let out a satisfied sigh as the burn of the alcohol tingled in her throat before held out her empty glass to the blonde.

“Another one Morgan.”

“Rough day?” She asked, smiling as she took the glass and poured another one before handing it back to the brunette.  She nodded before knocking back her second drink, humming this time as the second short was much more pleasant than the first. She held her glass out to Morgan for a third one.

“You have no idea. While I don’t mind doing errands in the village for milady, it’s the dealing with asshole villagers and hearing their quips which makes it unbearable. The things that they say and do…it just makes you think that it will be easier to just run away to escape everything that they throw at you, figuratively and literally.”

The red head sitting next to Morgan let out a laugh, shaking her head before leaning on her hand to keep her head propped up to look at the brunette who was knocking back her third drink.

“While that sounds easy to do, it definitely is not. I don’t think Lady Dimitrescu will take well to you running away. She will probably send one of our girls to find you if not herself. Hell, she might even ask Heisenberg for your help.”

“She won’t ask that man for anything Raya. Don’t be ridiculous.”

“One will do anything to keep the one that they love by their side.”

The brunette rolled her eyes Raya’s words, the redhead sticking her tongue out playfully at the brunette which reminded her of the other redhead in the castle who happened to have a similar personality to Raya, albeit a little bit more on the extreme side. The brunette held out her glass to Morgan for a fourth drink, only to have the back of her hand smacked by the fourth occupant of the room, her raven locks falling in front of her face as she leaned out of her seat to smack the brunette’s hand.

“Don’t go too fast. You still have to tend to your lady for bed later tonight. She won’t appreciate you arriving drunk.”

The brunette pulled her hand back and rubbed the back of it while scowling at the black-haired girl, who just levelled her with a scolding look.

“I won’t arrive drunk. Besides, I hold my liquor the best out of all of us!”

“I actually contest that. The last time we drank together, you were completely plastered and I was the one that had to haul your ass back to your room.” Morgan said, pointing at the brunette as she recounted that moment which was both shocking and hilarious at the same time.

“Oh please, I don’t even remember that.”

“Exactly.”

“Oh shut it.”

The brunette got out of her chair to try reach for the bottle which Morgan left on the coffee table, only to have it snatched away by the raven who held it closely to her chest.

“No.”

“Oh come on Alexia, I need it after today!”

“No means no Isabella. And besides, turning to alcohol as a form of stress relief is hardly healthy. In fact, it is the one-way ticket to the basement where all the other maids who turned to alcohol to deal with their duties. You know how Lady Dimitrescu demands excellence from us, as well as sobriety.”

Isabella scowled, her glare intensifying as she glared at the raven-haired girl. Alexia wasn’t at all phased by the brunette’s glaring and placed the bottle on the side table next to the couch she was sitting on before tucking her legs underneath her.

“You know that I am right.”

“You will never hear me admit it. As of this moment, you are on my hit list.”

“Oh yes, and it is so hard to get off it.”

“Bela is rubbing off on you. You are sounding almost as sarcastic as she is.”

Alexia shrugged non-committedly and that just made Isabella sigh, placing her empty glass on the coffee table instead and slumping back into the armchair without another word. The crackling of the wood in the fireplace of the Maid quarters, as well as the sniggering conversation between Raya and Morgan, filled the otherwise silence in the room. The other maids are either finishing off their own chores or simply enjoying their leisure time in their rooms.

The four of them were the only ones in the common space provided for the staff leisure time. Although most preferred to spend their time in their rooms, which were the ‘safest’ place for the maids working in this castle, since its vampiric occupants preferred not to visit the areas which were deemed for servants. Though anything outside of their rooms were fair game and so the common space was not used as often as it should in fear of being sought out by one of the daughters of Lady Dimitrescu.

Isabella allowed her body to relax for the first time today and looked at the other three girls in thought, Morgan and Raya still snickering about something while Alexia was reading one of the many books that she borrowed from the library, no doubt lent to her by the oldest of the Dimitrescu sisters.

“…Where are the girls?”

“Hunting.” The three of them answered simultaneously, which made the corner of Isabella’s lips quirk upwards at the monotone of their answers. Alexia looked up from her book to look at her.

“And where is the Lady?”

“A late meeting with the other lords. She is expected to arrive later tonight.”

“And as always, I’m sure you have special plan to help to relax, isn’t that right miss paramour?”

Isabella instantly tossed the cushion on the armchair at Morgan, the blonde laughing as she caught it and slipped it behind her own back to add to her comfort. Isabella felt her cheeks flush as Morgan was not far off the mark with her teasing jab.

“Shut up, you know nothing.”

“Oh contraire my friend, I know much more than you think. Especially with what happened last week when you and the Lady-“

“Finish that sentence and I will tell everyone what I saw between you and Cassandra in her painting room.”

Almost comically Morgan shut her mouth, eyes widening while Raya grinned widely, excitedly looking between Isabella and Morgan with keen interest.

“Oooh, what happened between the two of you? Another erotic painting session?”

Morgan immediately shoved Raya, blushing brightly.

“None of your business!”

“You aren’t denying it-“

“I am not entertaining this!”

“Aww come on Morgan, tell us! We’re your friiiiiends!”

“No you’re not!”

“Ouch.” Alexia said monotonously, turning a page of her book which made everyone turn their attention to her.

Morgan was blushing red and Isabella couldn’t help but smile as Raya turned to look at Isabella with curious eyes and a teasing smile.

“Come on Isabella. You can’t open a can of worms and not go fishing. Tell me what you saw.”

“She will do no such thing if she knows what is good for her!”

Morgan turned to Isabella sharply, a warning look in her eyes which made Isabella raise her eyebrow at her, a challenging glint in her eyes.

“Is that a threat Morgan?”

“No, it is just a warning that if you blab, I will blab too.”

“You are the one who started this.”

“I did not!”

“You did.” The other three answered simultaneously, which just made Morgan gasp indignantly as she tried to defend herself.

Smiles appeared across all three of the others faces, Raya’s ever increasing while Alexia’s lips quirked upwards in a small smile as she turned the page. Isabella felt light for the first time today, the day’s events with dealing with the villagers slowly melting away. The four of them have been through a lot together and have just gotten closer with their time in the castle. They can really only depend on each other given that the other maids can less than a friendly attitude towards them because of their place in the castle.

The walls have ears in the castle and each one of them have heard the sharp words which the other maids whispered about them and others, each getting worse and worse as time passed on. Nothing is kept a secret in the castle and it quite well known what all four of them are deemed in the eyes of the other maids.

Bela’s toy.

Cassandra’s bitch.

Daniela’s freak.

And Lady Dimitrescu’s pet.

The four of them were aware of their standing with the other maids and while it was most disheartening, they were at least able to turn to each other for friendly support. Their friendship was bizarre, but it worked. It worked for them. Isabella sighed and clicked her neck, freeing herself of some tension before speaking.

“Would you say we are lucky or unlucky?”

The three girls lifted their heads to look at her, slight confusion on their faces at the question. But Alexia closed her book and shrugged as she placed it on the side table.

“It depends on the situation.”

“Our situation.”

“Hmm, then it depends. We are all in the same boat.”

“Can’t deny that.” Raya said, leaning back into her seat and moving her feet to place them on Morgan’s lap. Morgan scrunched her nose at the sight of Raya’s bare feet but didn’t push them away.

“I’d say we are pretty damn lucky. We’re alive and we definitely have something which the others don’t have.” Morgan said, a smile crawling along her face as she began to think of a certain brunette whom she paints with and spends many nights cooped up in her room.

Every seemed to follow the same line of thinking as Morgan as they all began to think of the Dimitrescu who managed to capture their hearts. Alexia thinking of the blonde vampire whom she reads books with and plays piano. Raya thinking of the fellow red-head who tackles the two of them flying through the castle as a cackling duo. And Isabella thinking of Alcina, the lady of the house who holds power over everyone, even her daughters, ruling with an iron fist and yet treats her with gentle caresses and soft kisses behind closed doors where it is just the two of them.

“I concur.” Alexia said, her features soft as she smiled.

“What she said.” Raya agreed, her grin as wide as usual when she thought of Daniela, making all of their smiles widen.

“Agreed.” Isabella smiled widely at them before motioning at the bottle of alcohol still standing on the side table next to Alexia.

“Now come on, let me have another. I’ve settled now.”

“Just because you’re used to Lady Dimitrescu drinking wine doesn’t mean that you should.” Alexia scolded, frowning at the brunette. Isabella rolled her eyes.

“How does Bela love you? You’re so uptight.”

“I am not!”

“Oh you so are Lex, you’re as tense as an iron nail. I do wonder how Bela deals with you.” Raya said teasingly. Alexia turned to glare at her.

“And I wonder just how Daniela is able to love an energetic, oversized puppy.”

“Hey don’t use puppies as an insult!” Raya immediately argued, shooting up straight and actually glaring at the black-haired girl this time. Morgan couldn’t help but snort at Raya’s indignation and that turned the redhead’s attention to her quite quickly.

“Don’t laugh at me. You’re not an easy girl either! I’m sure Cassandra struggles with you!”

“Ha! More like I struggle with her!” Morgan argued, smacking Raya on the leg which caused the redhead to yelp at the sharp sting.

“How do I have the patience to deal with all of this?” Isabella asked herself out loud, which caused the other three to shift their attention to her.

“Oh don’t act like a Saint. Lady Dimitrescu certainly must have bumped her head when she met you because I just wander how she can tolerate a bratty person like you.” Morgan quipped, but Isabella just raised an eyebrow.

“You make it sound like a bad thing. She quite likes my bratty side.”

The three girls immediately scrunched their noses up in disgust, not appreciated the TMI which Isabella just provide them. But then again, they all know a little intimate details about each other which they have solemnly sworn to never tell any of the other maids in the castle. But Isabella smiled and indicated for the bottle again.

“Okay how about this. We will drink on it and tell each other just how obvious that our ladies adore us and show it just to prove to each other how lucky we are in our situation.”

“That just sounds to me that you are finding a reason to have some more of the drink.” Alexia said, raising an eyebrow at the brunette. Isabella shrugged and flashed a smile.

“Maybe, but it does make it more fun.”

“…That is true.” Alexia said, sighing as she untucked her feet and grabbed the bottle and uncapped it to pour in Isabella’s glass, along with Morgan and Raya’s eagerly waiting hands holding out their own empty glasses. Morgan grinned as she held her glass up as if making a toast.

“To an interesting night then.”

Raya aggressively clang her glass against Morgan’s, almost spilling it.

“Cheers!”

Isabella laughed at Raya’s enthusiasm and Morgan’s annoyance at the red head, along with Alexia’s willingness to humour her suggestion. She raised her glass in the air as well and smiled.

“Let’s get started then.”

Chapter Text

Alcina Dimitrescu

Isabella had already been a maid for some time before Alcina showed any sort of attraction to her. Isabella mainly kept to herself while working in the castle, doing her best to survive for the sake of her family. She was the oldest out of five kids and her parents did as much as they could to take care of all of them, but it wasn’t enough. And Isabella knew she had to do some kind of work to help them and to help support her younger brothers and sisters.

Working as a maid for the Dimitrescu family was not the job that she had in mind, but in the end it was the only choice that she had as there was not enough well-paying jobs in the village or the other villages to support her family. And when there were vacancies in the castle, Isabella plucked up her courage and volunteered when one of the head maids travelled to the village for new girls. Her parents begged her not to go but, in the end, Isabella decided to go. For the sake of her family, she would try her best to survive and to help support them, even if it means that she may end up not returning like most maids.

The wages that maids get for working at the castle is not to be complained about. Isabella’s family no doubt needs the money which she sends almost immediately once she receives it. But considering what the maids have to face to get the money, it is only right that one gets paid a high amount, especially since you are constantly on the menu for the vampire occupants of the castle. A well-paying but dangerous job as you never know when your time is up in the castle.

The dungeon is the place where every maid fear to go because no one ever comes back up once sent down. Either you become the new plaything for the three daughters of Lady Dimitrescu or you become one of the supplies for the wine which the castle is infamous for. Your death is guaranteed if you are sent to the dungeon, and that is the one place which Isabella never wants to be. Sometimes you can hear the screams if you are close enough to the entrance of the dungeon, and that is motivation enough to make sure you do everything perfectly and never step out of line.

But luckily Isabella hasn’t been one of the unfortunate souls to be taken down underground and to never be seen again. She has always been resourceful, and she has tried her best to make sure that she doesn’t mess up anything. She surprisingly, and luckily, are one of the longer lasting maids in the castle and Isabella has to thank her observation skills for that as she always knows when to avoid certain areas where no doubt any of the daughters could be lurking around, and she especially avoids the servants’ common space as that is usually where the newest recruits get snatched up by one of the daughters.

She prides herself on her resourcefulness and ethic, and she has yet to anger any of the daughters or the lady herself. In fact, the closest she has ever been near the resident family was when she worked at meal shifts, it being one of the most dangerous shifts that any maid could be put in as you don’t know if you will become part of the meal or catch the negative attention of the daughters, specifically by Daniela or Cassandra.

But Isabella will admit that there is a small comfort to working the meal shifts because that is the only time when you can see the Lady up close, sipping her wine with the elegance of a noble while her daughters ravenously eat till their fill, blood smearing their mouths and chins as they ate the meat which was no doubt one of your own species.

Lady Dimitrescu is an enigma. She was undoubtfully beautiful and had the grace of a duchess, however she also had the aura of a tigress. Very few people have seen her lose her composure and those who have…well, they were never heard of again. The only one who could be say is close to the lady of the castle was Ana, Lady Dimitrescu’s personal handservant who attended to all the lady’s personal needs.

Ana was considered to be of higher rank than the others and did not have as much work to do as Isabella and the others, but she was also in the most dangerous position that one could have in the castle. Lady Dimitrescu does go through her handservants quite often, but not as often as the maids that are assigned to her daughters, hence the common vacancies within the castle.

But Ana had lasted longer than most and Isabella hoped for it to stay that way. It is not easy to make friendships in the castle due to constant battle of survival, but she could honestly say that Ana was a friend. Hence why Isabella only hesitated for a few moments before agreeing to Ana’s request.

“Please Isabella, I have a few errands to run for the lady in the village and I won’t have enough time to clean her quarters until later. Please just do it for me and I will pay you back.”

No one except Ana was allowed in Lady Dimitrescu’s chambers, so Isabella was scared and tempted to say no just as her instincts were screaming for her to do. But Ana was a friend and she has done a lot of favours for Isabella, like helping her with chores even though she wasn’t expected to. So Isabella eventually nodded and accepted, taking a little comfort as the lady was out for the day and she will be able to clean without being detected.

So Isabella ended up taking all the necessary cleaning supplies and headed into the lady’s room, taking a few moments to look around at the surroundings before heading to work, not wanting to spend a second too long in this room. She got into the groove of things quite quickly, stripping the sheets of the lady’s bed, remaking it, dusting the room, cleaning the bath and finally busy finishing off with the floor, humming a tune to herself and completely unaware of the door opening and the figure ducking down to enter the room.

“Who are you and what are you doing in my room?”

Isabella yelped and spun around to see Lady Dimitrescu standing in the room, her menacing figure making Isabella feel even more smaller than she already was. She immediately went paled and clutched the broom tighter as she stared into the golden eyes of the vampire mistress.

“I asked you a question.”

Her voice was silky but firm, her eyes narrowing as she took in Isabella. She trembled slightly, never having a direct interaction with the lady until now. A year and a half of bliss evaporating into thin air and possibly your last breath ending today. Was she seriously going to die here today for doing a favour for a friend?

A low growl could be heard from the back of the Lady’s throat and that immediately her back to attention. Isabella straightened herself up and ducked her head down respectfully before giving a small bow to Lady Dimitrescu.

“I’m Isabella milady and I am just finishing off with cleaning your room.”

Isabella inwardly patted herself on the back for not stuttering, putting on a brave front to her otherwise wildly beating heart. She swallowed as she heard a pause in the air and then the sound of heels clicking against the floor as they began to walk towards you.

“I thought my instructions were quite clear that only Ana is to attend to my room. Are you above this rule?”

Isabella swallowed thickly before licking her lips, not raising your head even though the bottom of the lady’s dress was in your line of sight.

“Of course not milady, Ana is just-“

“Look at me when you are speaking to me.”

Her voice interrupted Isabella and a shot fear went through her before she obeyed the command, lifting her head to look into the golden eyes of the lady. Her tall figure was already intimidating but it increased tenth fold to how close she was to her. Isabella had to tilt her head up quite a bit to look at her face. The lady’s eyes glinted as she looked at the maid.

“Apologies milady. Ana is out doing errands and she simply asked me to clean your chambers for you while both you and she are out. I just have the floor left to do milady. That is all.”

Again Isabella was proud of herself not stuttering and she sealed her lips shut as she awaited the lady’s answer. Lady Dimitrescu gazed at her for a few long moments before turning to look around slowly at the room, taking note of all the cleaning that she had done. Isabella waited solemnly, ducking her head down again as she waited for the lady’s reaction to her work.

She nearly flinched when gloved fingers suddenly cupped her jaw, tilting her head back up to look back at the lady again, the fingers of the lady almost reaching her temple with how large her fingers were. Isabella gulped as a gleam went through Lady Dimitrescu’s eyes, her eyes scanning your face and then your body from head to toe before settling on your eyes again.

“…You have done a good job.”

Her face was finally released and the lady went to adjust her large hat before staring at Isabella one last time.

“Finish off then. And lock the door once you leave.”

“Y-Yes milady.”

Isabella immediately bowed, missing the slight uplifting of the lady’s lips in a brief smile as she looked at the maid bowing to her before turning around and walking away, opening the door and ducking underneath the archway to leave.

Isabella immediately let out a breath. Clearly Mother Miranda was looking over her to allow herself to be spared. But she had to admit that the look in Lady Dimitrescu’s eyes as she stared at her…she wondered just what was going through her mind.

Only later did she find out it was the look of interest that flashed in her lady’s eyes as she took in the beautiful maid in her room.

Bela Dimitrescu

Alexia turned the page of her book, her eyes dancing along the lined words in delight as she was reaching the conclusion of the book. Reading was the most peaceful thing in the world, and it provided an escape to black-haired girl from the reality she is dealt with.

She has been working at the castle for a few months already and yet things seem to not get easier at all for her. While Alexia is working in a castle of blood-drinking women, the real monsters which were scarier to her than the house owners were the maids themselves. Humans can be just as cruel as monsters and Alexia was spared no thought by the others, her quiet nature apparently being deemed acceptable for the others to make fun of and torment.

She avoided the other maids as much as she could, the bullying sessions that they are fond off leaving a bitter taste in her mouth. She wishes that she was back home, but then she remembered that she didn’t have a home anymore. Her birth parents were dead, and her uncle had all but forced her to the recruiting head maid to get rid off her, making sure to roughly remind her to send back her earnings so that he can tend to his farm.

Honestly, it was probably better in the castle than back at her supposed home. But again, she has seen human cruelty at its finest, back at home with her uncle and with the maids in the castle. Alexia just can’t seem to escape it ever, and so she just surrounds herself with the precious treasures called books. They are the only things that offer comfort to her. The only way to provide an escape from her otherwise meaningless life.

Like most maids during the very early hours of the morning, Alexia was in her room. The prowling of the daughters in the castle could be heard from her room. The sound of something crashing and breaking, the cackling of Cassandra which is followed by a pained scream of a poor unsuspecting maid working the night shift, and at some times, the sound of buzzing of one of the girls travelling through the castle.

Alexia much preferred working the day shifts as that was usually the time when the maids were the safest in the castle as the daughters were usually resting in their rooms after a long night of hunting. But unfortunately this week, Alexia was put on the night shift, much to the delight of the other maids who are but gleamed in delight at the possibility of Alexia being one of the unsuspecting maids that the daughters will come across. In fact, they probably hoped the one which Cassandra had just gotten a hold of was her.

She sighed as she closed her book, finishing it and dragged her body off of her bed to ready herself for her work. She was in charge of cleaning the library tonight and she hoped that it would be unoccupied. She tucked her finished book into her dress to hide it before leaving her room, heading to the storage closet to get the necessary cleaning tools for her job.

The books of the library were mainly reserved only for the family, however on the odd occasion can the maids borrow the books given that they return them to their rightful place before getting caught. Alexia was in fact breaking the rules borrowing from the library, but she simply could not resist the temptation of borrowing them. The library was just so grand and filled with any book you could ever imagine; it was basically like a tease of food to a starving dog on the street to a bookworm like Alexia.

She must say she has yet to be caught and she is very good about returning them before their vacancy was detected. The one which she had just tucked away was one that she had borrowed, the third book of a series which was most delightful. The library had the full set and Alexia hoped she could swap it out during the cleaning, it being her small reward of serving thus far.

Fortunately she came across neither the daughters of the castle or any other made, making her journey to the library painless. She silently opened the doors to the utopia and took a moment to breathe in the scent of books before getting to work. She first organised the sitting area in the library, carefully cleaning the tables and chairs without removing the multiple books that were on the table.

Alexia knew not to touch them. The most routine occupant of the library was Lady Bela, the eldest of the Dimitrescu daughters. And Bela most definitely hated it when her books were touched. She has more than once sliced the throats of other maids who have cleaned the library and returned her chosen books back to their original place. So Alexia knew better than to do the common thing any servant would do in the library.

She then began to dust the bookshelves, taking special care of the books and making sure to clean every spot that she could see. She didn’t mind cleaning the library as it was the only safer place than in her room than where she can be. Daniela and Cassandra hardly ever visited it, them deeming it too ‘boring’ for their tastes, inadvertently sparing Alexia from coming across the two of them during her shifts.

A fond smile crawled along Alexia’s face as she scanned the titles of books as she cleaned their shelves, some catching her attention and making her note their names in her head for possible stories to read at a later stage. She only read one book at a time to avoid suspicion and she very much wanted to finish the series she was reading now. So as Alexia arrived at the bookcase where the series books were stored, Alexia pulled the third one from her uniform and walked to where the others were to return it only to pause.

There was an empty space to where the fourth book was supposed to be.

The library’s bookcases were filled to the brim with books, so it was quite easy to tell when a book has been borrowed. But Alexia couldn’t help but freeze as a larger gap than usual was in the bookcase, showing that both the third and fourth book were gone, and Alexia was the only one with the third one, so that meant that someone had taken out the other one.

“Looking for this little one?”

Alexia’s feet immediately felt iron rods as she froze entirely, the voice of the eldest Dimitrescu daughter reaching her ears and sending fear through her body at a mighty pace. Alexia slowly turned around and let out a shaky breath as she saw the blonde vampire standing at the end of the bookcase, a teasing smile on her face that was covered in dry blood as she held up the fourth book of the series which was missing from the shelf. Bela clicked her tongue scoldingly, walking towards Alexia before shaking the book in her direction.

“Servants aren’t supposed to take books from the library. But my my, aren’t you a brave one.”

Alexia immediately backed herself against the bookcase, trembling as Bela got closer. She hugged the book close to her chest, hoping for it to just somehow get her out of here even though that was the furthest thing to keep her safe. Bela stopped until she was a small distance away and cocked her head, taking in Alexia’s features before glancing down at the book that the black-haired maid was clutching too.

“Though it seems you finished that one much faster than the others, surprising considering humans read much slower than us.”

Alexia’s breath froze in her throat, her eyes widening. Did…Bela know that she was borrowing the books? Oh no, it was over for her. It was definitely over for her. She was going to die, right here, right now. Her bullies are finally going to get what they’ve always wanted. Her death by the hands of the vampire occupants.

Alexia scrunched her eyes shut and prayed, hoping for it just to be done quickly and with no pain. She waited for something, waiting for a sickle or something to piece her skin and bring her to her death. But instead she felt the book getting tugged out of her grip and then another one getting pressed into her.

Alexia’s eyes snapped up to see Bela cocking her head at her, a contemplating looking on her face before she gave a harder push into Alexia’s chest, shoving the fourth book into her until Alexia’s hands shakily took it from her.

“Finish that one quickly and then come find me. It is not often I have someone to discuss books with.”

And then she disappeared into a swarm of bugs, leaving Alexia flabbergasted against the bookcase with the fourth book of the series in her arms.

Cassandra Dimitrescu

Morgan hated being dungeon cleaning duty.

While she was not a particularly squeamish person, it was the fact that she was cleaning up the blood of someone that she knew, as well as hearing the cries and screams of the poor people locked in the cells and used for the entertainment of the Dimitrescu’s is what got to her.

Morgan sighed and grumbled to herself as she was on her hands and knees as she scrubbed at the floor, the bucket of water of already dirty red water sat beside her as Morgan tried her best to scrub the stains off the floor. She never thought in a million years that she would ever be in this situation, but again Morgan has survived worse.

She was practically plucked from the wild to serve, running away from her demolished village which was filled to the brim by Lycans. She had managed to survive the freezing cold conditions for days when she suddenly stumbled across castle Dimitrescu, which has now become her new death-trap that she has called home.

She wouldn’t say she was lucky so to say. The tales of the Dimitrescu castle was very far reaching, even to the ears of her own village before it had completely gotten demolished. But Morgan had now seen the that rumours that were attached to those tales were very much true as her first day arriving at the castle, she bore witness to a blonde maid getting her throat ripped out than none other the most sadistic daughter of them all, Cassandra Dimitrescu.

Cassandra definitely was the most feared out of all the sisters in the castle as her blatant sadism was displayed all over with how her sickle always seems to be coated in fresh blood, as well as he constant cackles that are heard in the corridors as she is prowling for new prey or is bothering one of her sisters, usually Bela. Her delighted shouts could also be heard in the dungeon, it being the loudest of the lot as she screams in glee at the torture, she was putting her toys through.

She was terrifying, nothing less than to say than that.

Morgan sighed as she dipped the scrubbing brush into the bucket again, grimacing as the near cold-water bit ate her hand as she pulled it out and began scrubbing again. She definitely believed that she was getting punished. She just pulled a harmless joke on one of the maids, needing to have some kind of laughter in their otherwise tedious job positions but it seemed that putting a fake spider in one of the head maid’s beds was biting her in the ass.

And now she was forced to hear the pains groans and pleas of help from victims of the dungeon, their voices echoing through it and reaching Morgan’s ears as she scrubbed. She honestly would help them if she could, but she was a survivor and she had to think of herself first and foremost. Even though it pained her to hear other people in pain and on the brink of death.

It was the opening of the dungeon door which startled her, and Morgan hastily shot up to the feet when she heard violent buzzing heading in her direction, as well as the familiar cackle she has all but gotten used to hearing which was being followed by the pained yells of a male voice.

A swarm of black insects buzzed into the entry room of the dungeon, followed along by which looked like  man who was wear a shirt stained in blood and ripped in various places. The insects bonded together and quickly formed the figure of Cassandra Dimitrescu, the brunette daughter of Lady Dimitrescu who obviously has just returned from a hunt and intended to play with her newfound prey.

Cassandra’s mouth was smeared in blood, still wet, which told Morgan that her meal was quite fresh and she was certain it was the man who was all but being dragged by the collar of his half-torn shirt. He was choking and grappling at Cassandra’s arm, trying to get her to loosen her grip on the material which was choking him. Morgan couldn’t help but feel sympathy for the man, but she knew better than to say anything else. She was practically in Cassandra’s toy room and she would much prefer not to be added to the collection.

“I haven’t cut open a man in a while, oh just to think what I can do to you.”

Cassandra’s voice was filled with excitement and glee and she brought up her sickle which was coated in bright red blood and licked her tongue across, moaning sensually at the taste as she looked down at the struggling man which was holding by her side.

Morgan couldn’t help but grimace as she thought of what the man will go through and that seemed to catch the brunette’s attention as suddenly golden eyes whipped up and locked eyes with Morgan’s, taking note of the blonde’s presence in the room.

Shit

Cassandra’s tongue quickly retreated back to her mouth and her lips widened into a wider grin as she saw Morgan, lowering her sickle and quickly sauntering over to her while dragging the man’s body along with her along the rough stones.

“Oh look at that, a snack before play time.”

Morgan immediately tensed, her fight and flight instincts kicking in and she didn’t know which one would be stupider, especially since Cassandra could easily catch and overpower her. After all, she adored a good hunt and especially liked feisty prey.

The cold, sticky metal of Cassandra’s sickle was pressed to Morgan’s neck, making the blonde flinch as she felt the biting edge against her skin which was threatening to break it. Cassandra was very close, too close and the scent of death and blood was all over her which very much matched the concept of the dungeon as her eyes glinted wildly as she looked at the maid.

“Aren’t you a pretty face, how come I’ve never seen you before?’

You have, but you were too busy ripping the throat out of some girl to notice.

That is what Morgan wanted to say but she knew that would just be the cause of her losing her tongue. And Cassandra definitely would be delighted to deliver as she quite enjoyed being the volunteer to teach disrespectful maids lessons.

“It’s a big castle milady. Lots of places to clean.”

Cassandra’s eyes glinted and you winced as you felt the breaking of skin on your throat as the brunette vampire applied more force. All she had to do is make one motion and Morgan’s throat will be slit and she will be but another body count to the vampire.

“Such a sharp tongue…I wonder just how you would be without it.”

Cassandra’s eyes were gleaming, and her smile became twisted as she scanned Morgan’s face, licking her lips sensually as she caught drops of the man’s blood, savoring in its taste before swallowing. Morgan didn’t move, not wanting to entice the predator to pounce as she stared intensely into Morgan’s eyes, her breathing slowly and heavy as she seemed to be breathing in the scents surrounding her.

“Rather mute milady. But it looks like your new prey is on its way of suffocating to death.”

That seemed to catch Cassandra’s attention as she pulled the sickle away from Morgan’s throat and instead moved and impaled it into the man’s shoulder, forcing out a scream from the man’s mouth as he now went to clutch at his freshly injured shoulder.

“No falling asleep! We haven’t even gotten to the good part yet!”

Cassandra cackled before turning back to look at Morgan, cocking her head as she gazed at her for a few moments. But then a wicked smile appeared and she suddenly leaned in Morgan’s personal space, making the maid freeze as she moved and suddenly dragged her tongue along Morgan’s neck, tasting the blood from the shallow wound she inflicted on the blonde. Cassandra then pulled away and licked her lips, a delighted glint flashing through her eyes.

“Delicious.” She said, before letting buzzing off into the dungeon, dragging the man by her sickle across the floor as she cackled through the corridors of the dungeon.

Daniela Dimitrescu

Freak of nature

Atrocity.

Bad omen child

Mistake.

Raya was quite used to hearing such things growing up. She was considered a cursed child, a child who never should have been brought into the world because destruction and hell has all but being thrusted onto the village and land ever since she was born. And somehow, it became a twisted belief that she was the cause of it all, of all the Lycan attacks and kidnappings of others from her homes.

It was all her fault. Only her.

And so Raya has grown up as an outcast in her village, as well as her own family. Her own parents detested her very existence while they doted upon her younger twin brothers, them becoming the cream of the crop for the family as they were men and not considered cursed kids. It was only Raya who was left alone to her own devices, her mind being her only escape.

She didn’t allow her circumstances to get her down. In fact, despite of all the pain she goes through, Raya keeps herself to be the optimistic person that she is. When she gets something thrown at her by one of the villagers or pushed to the floor by one of her brothers or by her parents, she just laughs it off. As long as she laughs, there is no pain. Out of mind, out of place. She just had to ignore it. Things have to get better after the worst has come and that is all that came to mind to the redhead growing up.

Only it seemed that her privilege of living had finally run out. An angry mob literally formed outside of her family home on the evening when the news came of the disappearances of the mayors two children, Raya no doubt being the cause of the disappearances in their minds. They screamed and threw rocks at the house, breaking the windows and calling for the cursed child. Raya was ripped from her bed in the basement, the only space she could call her own as her family isolated her in it and was dragged upstairs and thrown outside for the angry mob called for her death.

Her parents wanted her dead, then shall it be by the hands of the villagers. Her extermination will save the village and prevent any other attacks from happening. Peace will come back once more.

Raya just ran.

She sprinted through the mob and through the village before running into the forest which she used to escape her chasers. The forest was the only place she was free to be at peace as no one ventured out too far in fear of being taken next. And it was the only place where Raya received all the hate that she received from the village, and so it became her saving grace as she evaded the mob, using her knowledge of the landscape to escape.

It had begun to snow, and Raya was only dressed in her flimsy night dress that was hardly any protection from the bitter cold. She trudged up the mountain, completely lost with no idea where she was going and no shelter to protect her from the cold.

She was going to freeze to death out here.

Her body was beginning to go numb from the cold, barely any warmth getting formed as she hugged herself and she all but ducked her head down to look she was walking, not aware that she was about to walk into the path over a very excited hunter.

She at first thought she was hallucinating, hearing laughter in the forest and in the wind. She looked up and looked around, only to realise she was in fact alone and there was no one else. But then she heard laughter again, in fact more like cackles, and Ray paused in her footsteps to listen again. She heard the sounds of branches breaking, bushing ruffling and then she heard the very distinct laughter of women which were only getting closer.

The voices seemed to split into three different directions and Raya was now whirling around, trying to pinpoint where they were and trying to catch sight to the owners of the voice. The voices were circling around her and Raya whipped around with the wind biting at her face trying to find them, but then a figure was rushing towards her from her side vision and as Raya turned around to face it, she was tackled to the ground and her back was met with the freezing snow.

“I got one! I got one!”

An excited voice is what made Raya refocus and she gasped as she saw what was on top of her. Or more like who was on top of her.

The woman had bright red hair, slightly shaved on the side, and she was dressed entire in black. She had glittering gold eyes and she had a smile so wide that you’d swear that she was a kid on Christmas. She straddled Raya on top of the snow, her hands pinning Raya down to the snow while her thighs encased her hips. She had an animalistic look to her, but that wasn’t the first thing which Raya noticed about it.

“Pretty.”

The word just escaped her mouth and it seemed to surprise the redhead on top of her as she cocked her head and looked down at her, somewhat looking like a puppy dog. She furrowed her eyebrows and then suddenly ducked her head down until they were literally breaths apart from each other, the scent of the redhead’s perfume reaching Raya nose which somewhat kind of came intoxicating.

“What did you say?” She demanded, her eyes not leaving Raya’s at all as she waited for an answer. And all Raya could do was swallow and lick her frozen lips before answering.

“Pretty. You’re really pretty.”

The redhead shot back up into a sitting position, eyes wide open as she stared at Raya in shock. The other two laughing voices came closer and before Raya’s very eyes two other woman assembled behind the redhead, a blonde woman and a brunette woman who were wearing similar black clothing as the red head and holding what looked like sickles.

“I think you knocked this one’s head a little bit Daniela.” The blonde one said, a smile wide on her face as she pushed the redhead’s head to emphasize her point.

“Or maybe it’s already stupid. Just look at what its wearing.” The brunette spoke next, pointing as Raya’s outfit with her sickle.

Remembering her lack of protective clothing, Raya shivered as the snow seeped into her nightdress, taking away any remaining warmth that the redhead had. The other redhead, who she assumed was named Daniela according to the blonde, blinked rapidly, as if she was trying to process all the information at once and completely ignored the banter of the other woman.

“Eh, she can be a light snack before the main meal. I’m feeling a bit peckish.”

The brunette suddenly grinned wickedly, stepping forward and lifting her sickle to no doubt stab the human redhead when suddenly she was tackled to the side than none other than Daniela.

“Don’t touch! Mine!” Daniela snapped at the blonde, wrestling her into the snow and snapped her teeth threateningly in front of her face before launching off her and leaping back to Raya, which she was staring at from head to toe, like she was trying to memorize every inch of her. She then had a wide smile form across her lips.

“I want her.”

“What Daniela?” The blonde asked, looking at the redhead as if she had grown another head. Daniela ignored the blonde and reached forward and grabbed Raya by the arm and lifted her up to her feet, shaking on the spot excitedly as she stared at Raya.

“Mine. Going to be mine.”

“Dani you can’t be serious-“

“I’m going to ask mother! She is going to be my pet!”

Raya didn’t have a chance to say anything as suddenly she was lurched forward into Daniela’s arms and suddenly they were speeding through the forest, leaving behind the two other woman and in a direction which the redhead seemed familiar with, her excited giggles heard the entire way as she made her way home which soon became Raya’s new one.

Chapter 3: Biting

Summary:

B for Biting, as it is a way that the Dimitrescu's are able to show their love without verbally saying it

Chapter Text

Alcina Dimitrescu:

Isabella learnt long ago when she had joined the working staff that the Dimitrescu’s were not like normal humans. The drinking blood part was kind of a dead giveaway of the true nature that all of them inhibited, as well as the fangs and the near animalistic way that they behave around the castle. While the three daughters were obviously a bit more…feral in nature to various degrees, Alcina was way more composed and in control of herself.

Which meant that the love bites that she liked to give Isabella was controlled and maintained, demonstrating the control that she had over herself and her instincts.

Coming to love Alcina took a small while, especially given the power imbalance between her and Isabella. She was the lady of the castle and one of the four lords of the surrounding area while Isabella was but one of the many servants of the castle. To say Isabella that forming a relationship with Alcina would be an understatement, especially considering her view towards humans.

But somehow Isabella had gotten lucky because Alcina found herself being attracted to the maid, and Isabella responded in kind. Isabelle never really had much experience with relationships as she simply did not have the time to date with trying to help her family, so it was quite the jump to date one of the most powerful beings in the land. But Alcina was patient and was kind, a side she only truly showed to her daughters and eventually to Isabella.

As Isabella had said before, she knew that Alcina and her daughters were not like normal humans. Their instincts were far more surfaced than that of humans, hence why they didn’t really have any restraint on their emotions. But because Alcina was already a very level-headed woman, she did not find herself as unrestrained as her daughters, but her instincts were still very much on surface.

The romantic nature of their relationship grew when Isabella became Alcina new personal handservant, Ana unfortunately meeting her end when she was attacked by vengeful villagers during one of her errands for Alcina. So Isabella found herself working far closer to Alcina than she had expected but somehow, she was okay with it as she realised that the lady of the castle was not as terrifying as all seemed to believe. But perhaps she was a bit biased because she was the one who was able to see the lady in such a human-like way in the early mornings when she had to wake her up.

Biting is something which Isabella has learnt is a way for Alcina to demonstrate her love and possession of her in a physical way. Alcina has very good control over herself, but the instinctual urge to mark what is hers bites at the seams of which of Alcina’s control. She wants to mark Isabella to show others that she belongs to Alcina. And it is almost frightful for how much Isabella actually likes it.

Alcina always asks permission first before she decides to leave any lingering marks. Consent between the two of them very clear. Alcina does not want to rush Isabella into anything she was not ready for, especially since she did not have much dating experience. Alcina has been around much longer than Isabella could ever imagine, so she knew that her lady had vast amounts of experience on how to please a woman.

But she wanted to go at a comfortable pace with Isabella. She wanted Isabella to enjoy her experiences with her, hence why the two of them made sure not to cross any boundaries and to always provide verbal consent for anything.

So when Alcina as Isabella pressed to the bed on her on her lap with Alcina’s lips kissing across her neck, she always manages to pull away just enough to ask the question which Isabella more than showed her answer already.

“May I pet?”

Isabella always hastily nods, her own needs making it difficult to speak in the moment. But that was never enough. Alcina would then pull away entirely and look at the brunette with mirth in her eyes, a fond smile on her face while her hands go to cup Isabella’s face, gently cradling her like she was the most delicate thing in the world.

“You have to tell me with your words, pet.”

Isabella blushed brightly as Alcina’s thumb at her lip, the finger significantly larger than normal and yet touched her so gently that it just made Isabella swoon internally.

“Yes Alcina, you can.”

Alcina smiled and leaned forward to press a rewarding kiss to Isabella’s lips before moving down her jaw and her neck where she began kiss the intended spot. Alcina never does it immediately. She loves to draw it out. She will kiss the skin before laying an open kiss against the skin, slightly grazing the skin with her teeth before she will finally bite down.

It does hurt, the sting of her teeth breaking the brunette’s skin unable to be ignored. But Isabella is able to focus more on the pleased hm which reverberates from Alcina’s body, her hold on the handmaiden tight as she holds her close as she tastes Isabella’s blood. While one would be scared of such a being in this position, their teeth in their neck and their blood getting drained, Isabella held no fear at all. In fact, she began to feel pleasure as heat went through her.

She can feel Alcina’s love and possession of her through the bite, and Alcina always pulls away slowly, giving a quick lick to the wound as if to seal it before pulling away, pressing a kiss to Isabella’s forehead.

“Good pet.”

And she will then remove herself to get the necessary items to bandage the newly made bite mark, her actions gentle as she bandages her lover’s neck. Isabella smiles at Alcina’s actions which the lady returns, leaning down to press another kiss to Isabella’s forehead while cupping her hand over the bandaged mark possessively.

“My pet.”

The bite definitely lasts a while and under no circumstances is Isabella to cover it up. It fills Alcina with a sense of pride to see her mark on her handservant as they went about their day. It is a blatant show of who Isabella belongs to and the brunette is more than happy to show off the bite she has gotten from her lady and lover.

After all, not just anyone can say that they are the paramour of Lady Dimitrescu.

Bela Dimitrescu:

Biting is a sign of intimacy with Bela, something which she does when she is overcome with emotion and knows no other way to show it.

Bela has a lot of expectations on her shoulders. She was the oldest out of the three daughters and her mother trusted her greatly to take care of things when she left the castle to either check in the villages or when she had to meet with the other lords and Mother Miranda. So to say that she had a lot on her plate is an understatement.

Alexia has come to see a lot of sides of Bela, the side which she strives to impress her mother every single time and tries her best to hold the Dimitrescu name highly, the side where she is the older sister of Cassandra and Daniela and tries her best to keep them in line and at certain times alive, and then the side where she is simply on her own and allows herself to finally let go.

Mostly one would find Bela in the library, curled up in one of the couches with a book. And after a while, Alexia become her partner who would sit next to her and read. It took quite a while to get to the stage where Bela would openly converse with Alexia, given the social dynamics, and power imbalance between them. Bela was very much like her sisters in terms of being a superior being and seeing humans nothing less than a food source. While she is not as sadistic as Cassandra or wild like Daniela, she was still equally as dangerous and has no qualms about slitting the throat of a maid if they so much sneeze the wrong way.

But somehow Alexia managed to worm her way into Bela’s heart and opening the blonde’s world is something which is both amazing and bizarre.

Alexia didn’t know how she found herself in the situation as she simply went through everyday with the goal to survive. And yet she had gone from lingering in the shadows to outright jumping into the middle of a cage of a lion who could pounce at any time.

She would say she has found some sort of comfort in Bela’s presence, the blonde at times actively looking up at the raven-haired girl when she is busy cleaning the library, the chore suddenly becoming one of her main ones for some reason. While the other maids fully expected Alexia to already be another body to add to the body count, they were shocked to learn that the raven was still alive and well. And when they found out that Alexia was allowed to take books from the library from recommendation of Bela, they were near about ready to jump off the highest tower of the castle themselves.

Something was not right. Bela hated humans just as much as her sisters. And yet she seemed to be treating Alexia with some sort of fondness. Alexia had even been allowed to sit near the blonde and read together in silence with the blonde’s permission. It was completely the opposite of one would expect from Bela to a maid who was practically in her sanctuary, the library being the only place which was the most peaceful in the castle.

And it seemed that the apparent fondness that Bela had for Alexia was not just noticed by the maids because her sisters buzzed into the library the one evening and all but cackled as they caught Bela and Alexia reading together in one of the couches.

“Oh so it is true! Perfect Bela does have a human pet!” Cassandra cackled as she broke into her swarm of bugs and moved quickly before reforming in front of Alexia, nearly in her lap as she pinched Alexia by the chin tightly and lifted her head. Her eyes gleamed wildly as she heard Alexia’s frightened speed up nearly instantly. “And she’s not a bad looking one either.”

“Cassandra.”

Bela growled as she snapped her book shut and glared at the brunette, Cassandra smirking as she glanced back at her.

“Aww what’s wrong Bela, wondering if I will snap her pretty little neck?”

“She smells nice. I wonder if she will taste nice.” Daniela suddenly added, buzzing around until she was standing behind Alexia and was pulling aside her air to lean closer to sniff at her neck. Alexia was completely frozen in fear and her trembles could not go unnoticed as Cassandra could literally snap her head off at any time, or Daniela could just sink her teeth in her neck and drain the life out of her.

She was terrified, point blank.

And Bela picked up on it immediately. Her glare intensified and her hands shot out to grab Cassandra’s hand holding Alexia’s chin and all but shoving Daniela roughly away from Alexia’s neck, practically shoving her to floor.

“Leave. Now.”

She shoved Cassandra off Alexia’s lap and Cassandra broke off into her swarm before she landed on the floor and travelled until she was at the door and reformed to show the wicked smirk on her face.

“No need to get so defensive Bela. I simply wanted to have a look. Must be quite a special one to get you to tolerate her.”

She glanced at Alexia before breaking off into her bug form again and leaving the library, soon followed by a whining Daniela who rubbed her head and gave Bela a look before breaking off into her bug form as well and left the library. That then left Bela and Alexia alone in the room, the raven slowly calming down from being in deaths claws of both dangerous sisters. She slowly turned to look at Bela and saw the blonde had a very stormy look, multiple emotions flashing through her eyes.

 “L-Lady Bela?”

Alexia called out to her, unsure on what to do, and that cause Bela to snap her head to her. Her eyes looked overwhelmingly full of emotion and her hands were tightened into fists as she sat on the edge of the couch. She was clenching her jaw tightly and a low growl was grumbling at the back of her throat.

“Lady Be-“

Alexia was cut off when she was suddenly gripped tightly by the throat and pushed down onto her back on the couch as Bela followed after her. She had her pinned to the couch while she propped herself on top of Alexia, the growl intensifying. Alexia eyes widened and she found her words stuck in her throat as Bela suddenly leaned down and attached her teeth to Alexia’s collar bone.

She jumped at the sensation of Bela’s teeth and immediately tensed as she waited for the feeling of fangs sinking into her skin. Only that didn’t happen. Bela wasn’t breaking the skin at all. She simply held her teeth against Alexia’s skin, holding it gently before pulling away. She then moved up the raven’s neck and bit at it again, not breaking it again. Alexia all but lay there as Bela experimentally bit at different parts of her neck, never sinking her teeth in and her body slowly untensing itself before she finally let out a sigh.

“…Are you okay?”

She whispered it against Alexia’s neck and the black-haired maid froze for a few seconds before slowly nodding while feeling Bela’s lips against her neck, a strange sense of intimacy filling her.

“Y-Yes.”

She felt Bela nod her head before gently biting at Alexia’s pulse point.

“Good.”

Cassandra Dimitrescu:

Cassandra isn’t really good with words, especially since when it comes to affection or love. So when it comes to Morgan, she is much better at showing her love to the blonde with actions. And to be more precise, with bites.

Cassandra is a big fan of biting, and most of the time is ends up with her getting driven to the edge with the taste of Morgan’s blood on her tongue. But she bites Morgan for various reasons, ranging from wanting the blonde’s attention or to mark her while the two of them are in a naked entwine and the raw pulsing over her body bringing out her animalistic side.

Morgan more has resigned herself to be covered in bite marks all over her body. Her girl is a biter, and she expects it every time she feels the brunette’s vampire’s lips trace anywhere along her skin. Cassandra’s bites are sudden and quick, like a viper on a defenseless mouse who didn’t see the attacked coming.

The biting happened even before they formed a relationship, the brunette vampire finding the taste of Morgan’s blood quite intoxicating since she saw her in the dungeon entrance for the first time. Morgan was busy cleaning in one of the corridors when she heard the buzzing noise, one of the signs that one of the sisters were nearby. She kept silent and kept cleaning, hoping that she would not be taken notice of, but she was not that lucky. The buzzing came closer to her Morgan noticed a stray bug buzzing closer to her, flying around her head and out of sight before Morgan suddenly felt a sharp sting on her neck.

She yelped and immediately smacked her hand over the fresh bite that the bug left behind as it flew away. Morgan whirled around to see where the fleeing insect was going only to be met with a swarm of them suddenly speeding over to her and taking the form of the brunette vampire who had a wicked smile on her face. Morgan didn’t have time to react when she was suddenly slammed against the wall, her head knocking against it while her wrists were pinned above her head as Cassandra leaned in and suddenly took a bite at her neck, at the same place where the bug just bit her.

Morgan winced and tensed up immediately as she felt Cassandra suck at her neck, the pain of it shooting through her as Cassandra took what she wanted. She was a Dimitrescu, she always took what she wanted. And Morgan feared that today was the day it was the end of her surviving game as it seemed that Cassandra had no intentions of stopping from her feast.

Only she did.

The blonde had just started feeling lightheaded when Cassandra pulled herself away, licking her lips which was now coated in Morgan’s blood and adding to the collection of the already dried blood on Cassandra’s face. Cassandra’s eyes gleamed hungrily as she let go of Morgan’s wrists and moved to tap Morgan’s chin playfully.

“Thanks for the snack darling.”

She then broke into her swarm of bugs and buzzed away, leaving behind a flustered Morgan who was then clutching at her still bleeding neck.

But even now Cassandra biting her is nothing new, but it meant so much more than just a taste of her blood. If Morgan is lucky enough, Cassandra won’t break the skin. She does it hard enough so that the blonde is aware of the brunette’s strength, but soft enough to not make her bleed. She is simply marking what she sees as hers, and that is Morgan.

When the blonde is busy working in the corridors, she will hear the sound of buzzing insects and will soon feel arms wrapping around her from behind and teeth suddenly clamped on the side of her neck with a bite. She barely jumps anymore and smiles as she will carefully turn her head to glance back at the brunette hugging her.

“Hi love.”

And she will be responded to with another bite before Cassandra pulls away and turns the blonde around before pressing her lips to hers.

Then there are the love bites which tells Morgan what Cassandra was feeling. Cassandra does not verbally confirm her feelings much for Morgan, but the blonde doesn’t need to hear them as she feels Cassandra’s feelings through the actions the brunette demonstrates, especially during their love-making. The two of them go on for hours and Cassandra is always determined to make the blonde scream her name so that the whole castle can hear. She doesn’t care about the flack that she will get from her sisters for the ruckus. All she is interested is making Morgan fall apart for her and make her entirely weak for her.

During sex, Cassandra will litter Morgan with bite marks on every part of her body. On her shoulders, arms, stomach, hips, thighs, she will mark them all. She is busy claiming what is hers in the middle of her passion and Morgan all but presses into her mouth as Cassandra bites down on her, the pleasure overpowering the pain. And when Cassandra finally lays herself on top of Morgan, pressing their naked bodies against each other as she hugs Morgan closely and purrs in contentment, Morgan runs her fingers through Cassandra’s tangled brown locks and presses a kiss to her forehead.

“I love you.”

Morgan whispers the words to her lover and Cassandra responds with a simple bite, moving her head Morgan’s neck and biting down on it gently without breaking the skin. And that is all Morgan needs to know that Cassandra returns the sentiment.

Cassandra isn’t good with words, but her bites say more than enough for the blonde to understand the brunette’s feelings for her are genuine. No words needed to be said to know that Cassandra loves the blonde. Morgan knows that she does and is entirely content with receiving bites from the brunette as actions are much stronger than words regarding her lover.

Daniela Dimitrescu:

Raya is actually the one who brought along the biting aspect of the relationship between her and Daniela.

Daniela has never hidden her affections for the redhead, always doting upon the girl in every possible way ever. When she first arrived at the castle, she remembers how Lady Dimitrecu was completely taken aback from her youngest’s desire to keep the redhead as a pet. Daniela had never wanted to keep a human in such a way before because her control is probably the worst out of all three of the daughters.

But Daniela was determined to keep Raya, keeping her grip tight around the redhead as she pleaded with her mother, hugging Raya’s back to her chest with her arms in an iron grip around the human girl. Lady Dimitrescu new better than to deny Daniela, especially since she seemed so passionate to keep the human redhead. So she related and gave in to Daniela’s pleas, much to her delight.

So Raya found herself finding a new home in Castle Dimitrescu, and her sole purpose was to keep the youngest Dimitrescu happy. While Daniela would have loved to just keep Raya locked up in her room away from her sisters and the other servants, her mother was not going to allow Raya to simply do nothing in the castle. She was not going to spoil Daniela needlessly.

So Raya became a maid, albeit she didn’t do much work due to Daniela constantly pulling her away. Her mother never said that she couldn’t interrupt Raya’s said work. She was Daniela pet before anything else, and sooner than later, her lover.

Daniela was very much an excited puppy most of the time. She had this twisted kind of innocence which made Raya just want to take care of her. She was the youngest and had the wildest of imagination. Often, she would tell Raya all about them while near crushing her in an embrace as she holds her close. She doted upon Raya like an owner would, and soon those master-like caresses turning into those of a lover and her constant need of affection was more of a delight than an annoyance.

Raya wasn’t used to receiving such love from anyone. From her own experiences with people, she simply wasn’t used to any kind of affection. And Daniela just made up for all of it with how affectionate she was. She was like the product of all the affection Raya was denied her whole life until now. She was always holding the redhead in some kind of way and smothering her in affection that nothing brings a smile to Raya’s face more than that.

So when she was bundled up in Daniela arms as she excitedly told her about the dream she had last night, Raya just got the overwhelming to bite the redhead. So she moved her head and lifted Daniela’s arm that was tightly wrapped around her and gave it a bite. Daniela cut off from her talking almost immediately, jumping at the feeling of Raya’s teeth in her forearm. It didn’t hurt, not at all, but the fact that a human just bit her startled her. She ripped her arm away and turned Raya around to look at her.

“Did you just bite me?”

She obviously did but she was still processing the fact that she did. No human as never tried to touch her, let alone bite her, and yet this redheaded human all but did it so naturally that it was bizarre. And Raya didn’t seem apologetic at all. She just smiled cheekily at Daniela and leaned forward to peck her cheek.

“Love bite.”

Daniela stared at her wide eyed, processing her words. She tried to understand just what Raya meant by that.

A…love bite?

She had bitten plenty of humans, and she knows for a fact that each time that she has, there was no further reason behind it that to eat. A love bite? Raya didn’t want to eat her, could she? There is no way she could, she wasn’t like Daniela.

Raya obviously saw the confusion in Daniela’s eyes at her action. This is what Raya meant by Daniela’s innocent side. She simply did not understand the different aspects of love and actions. The only kind of affection she understands is from her mother, and sometimes by her sisters. But one for someone else…Daniela has absolutely no idea about anything. Hence why she treated Raya more like a pet than a lover, not truly comprehending the kind of love she had for the redhead.

So Raya smiled before she took Daniela’s hand off her shoulder and lifted it to her mouth before giving her wrist a playful bite, eyes on Daniela as the redheaded vampire stared at her wide eyed. Daniela jolted at the feeling of Raya’s teeth pressing against her wrist. It didn’t hurt but…it sent a feeling through her, something she couldn’t quite explain.

Raya smiled again before leaning towards Daniela, gently grabbing the vampire by the shoulders before leaning into her neck and giving it a play bite. Another jolt went through Daniela’s body and this time she gasped as the feeling shot through her again but far more intense than before. Raya then pulled away with a smile and wrapped her arms around Daniela’s neck before pressing a kiss to her cheek.

“Love bite.”

She spoke so simply and so clearly, her eyes gleaming in mirth as she looked at the vampire. Daniela’s lips were parted, and her skin tingled just where Raya had just bitten her. It didn’t hurt. It…felt good. She wondered if it would feel the same for Raya.

Daniela grabbed one of Raya’s hands wrapped around her shoulders and moved it until ti was right in front of her. She looked at the bare skin of Raya’s uncovered arm before looking at the maid questionably. Raya realized what Daniela was contemplating and smiled before stretching her arm out more for the red head.

“Go ahead Dani.”

Daniella’s eyes lit up at the nickname before turning back to Raya’s arm, her mouth salivating all of the sudden. Danielle pulled it closer to her mouth, the sound of Raya’s heart increasing a little a bit which made Daniella lick her lips for a moment. She pressed her lips to Raya’s forearm, right above the vein, licking it slightly as she pulled away while glancing at Raya again. Raya smiled and that prompted her to lay another open mouth kiss to Raya’s forearm, nibbling the skin the last second before she pulled away. She paused again before finally biting down on Raya’s forearm.

It was harder than what Raya had done, and Raya winced slightly as she felt Daniela’s fangs break the skin, causing her to bleed. But Daniela didn’t suck like she did with one of her food things. She pulled away and gave Raya’s arm a small lick before looking at her with a small smile.

“Love bite?”

She looked at Raya so innocently that the girl couldn’t help but smile and nod.

“Yes Dani. Love bite.”

And that was the start of biting between the two of them, it becoming a way to show affection to one another.

Chapter Text

Alcina Dimitrescu:

Being sick was the worst thing that could happen to a maid.

Not only because there was no access to a doctor but because one is put in particular danger when they are sick. A maid is still expected to work even if they are sick but what is dangerous about it is that the castle’s vampiric residents didn’t take too kindly to the sounds made by sick humans. If they became irritated enough, they would just slice them down right where they are standing, putting their sickness and life to an end. The daughters have more than a dozen times cut down maids because they got annoyed at the sniffs and coughs that the maids were making while they worked.

So being sick was dangerous in castle Dimitrescu and for long as Isabella has worked there, she has not gotten sick once.

Until today.

Isabella woke up with a fever, sore throat, and a weak body. The three things she truly wished she could command away because she knew the next few days were going to be difficult. The fever was bad, and Isabella could barely manage to dress herself, go to the kitchen and get Alcina’s morning tea and head to her mistress’s room in time. The feeling to fainting was overwhelming, near threatening to happen and Isabella had to lean beside Alcina’s bedroom door to steady herself.

She couldn’t let Alcina know she was sick. She had a lot of things to do for her mistress. She must just press on. She can handle it. She took a deep breath to clear her head from her fever mist before knocking and opening the door to Alcina’s room.

Isabella has to admit that waking up Alcina was her favourite part of her job as Alcina’s personal maid. She just loved the idea of being the first thing that Alcina saw in the morning and the smile which crawled along Isabella’s face couldn’t be stopped as she looked at the sleeping figure of her mistress and lover. Not even in her sick state can Isabella’s attraction to her mistress be wavered.

“Good mor-..ahem…good morning milady, it is time to wake up.”

Isabella winced as her voice broke as she spoke, her throat scratching painfully. She cleared her throat and continued as she walked to Alcina’s bed and placed the teas set on the side table. She heard a sigh from the bed, Alcina moving slightly as she began to wake up to the sound of Isabella’s voice. Isabella immediately began to brew pour the tea and brew it to Alcina’s liking.

“The new shipment of lavender tea arrived yesterday. So I am pleased to tell you that this morning will consist of it. Your favourite you once said.”

She reached for the metal flask which contained blood which Alcina liked mixed into her tea but suddenly a light-headed feeling hit the brunette, making her fumble and accidentally knock the flask against the tea pot as she tried to steady herself. Isabella closed her eyes and took a deep breath before continuing her work, pouring in the blood, and stirring it into the tea before picking up the teacup and turning towards the bed. As she turned, she was met with the golden eyes of her mistress and lover, prompting a smile to form across her face.

“Good morning milady.”

“Good morning pet.”

Alcina’s morning voice was always something which made the butterflies in Isabella’s stomach flutter. It was slightly raspy from sleep, but it was music to Isabella’s ears. Alcina is aware of how attracted Isabella is to her, which she loves to tease the brunette about at certain times. She was a lady of beauty and elegance; she was aware of the effect she had on others. But she loved seeing the affect she had on Isabella and the knowing smile that crawled along her face as she accepted the tea from the brunette told Isabella that she was aware of how much she loved her morning voice. Alcina took a sip and let out a pleased hum.

“Wonderful as always pet.”

“I aim to please milady.”

That lightheaded feeling came again, and Isabella wavered slightly in the spot a bit before righting herself up, blinking it away clearing her throat, albeit a little too loudly as Alcina flashed her a questionable look. Obviously, her lady noticed the sudden unsteadiness.

“Everything alright pet?” She asked, her eyes scanning over Isabella’s form to see if anything was wrong. But Isabella nodded and began to walk to the other side of the room to open the curtains.

“Yes milady, all is well.”

The fever was affecting Isabella more than she expected. She remembers her mother telling her in the past that you must never work when you have a fever because that will only make it worse and affect your body even more. But then again, her mother also pushed herself even when she was sick so guess like mother like daughter. She couldn’t not work, Alcina relied on her for multiple things, and she couldn’t let her down, not even when she was sick.

Isabella grabbed hold of the curtains and pulled them open, revealing the dark grey sky which threatened rain. Isabella hated the rain, it always being a rather miserable weather in the parts where they all lived. But perhaps it was a blessing in disguise. It meant that she could stay inside and maybe recover quicker. She knows that Alcina won’t have her do anything outside as she was considerate of the weather conditions and her human lover. Something which just made Isabella’ heart flutter.

“Stormy skies today milady. It will probably rain later, perhaps I can-“

The lightheaded feeling shot through Isabella much stronger this time and Isabella actually felt like she was going to faint this time. She slumped forward onto the window, her body trembling in weakness as her grip on the curtains only seemed to weaken. Black spots suddenly formed in her vision and Isabella couldn’t stop herself as her eyelids closed like dead weight and she fell, losing consciousness.

..

.

The sound of humming is what woke Isabella up from her slumber. The brunette blearily blinked away asleep and was surprised to see Alcina dabbing at her forehead with a cloth, her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she focused on the task at hand. Isabella made a slight sound, her throat desert dry and painful that she was unable to utter a word without it hurting. But the sound caught Alcina’s attention as gold eyes flashed down and locked eyes with Isabella, an emotion flashing in their eyes before she turned around and spoke to a maid that Isabella just noticed walked into the room.

“Go have the kitchen make something for her to keep down. And bring another bowl of cold water. Go.”

Isabella watched as the made scuttled out the door and she glanced around to realise that she was laying in Alcina’s bed and had sheets pulled up to her chin, wearing only her under clothes. She blushed and turned to look back at Alcina, who was already dressed in her day clothes, but her hair and face was undone. Her eyes were locked with Isabella and her lips thinned out as she placed the cloth back in the bowl which was on her side table and lifted her hand to press the back of it against Isabella’s forehead.

“You’re still boiling hot. Perhaps a cold bath will help break your fever.”

Alcina’s hand then moved until it was cupping Isabella’s cheek, forcing the maid to look at her as Alcina looked at her seriously.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were sick?”

Crap…she knew. But guess fainting right in front of her is one way to get the message across that she was sick. Curse her weak body and its sickly influence.

“I..um…”

“Don’t even try lying to me Isabella.”

It was never a good thing which Alcina called her by her first name. Well, sometimes Alcina says it in a sweet way but usually she will call her by her sweet nicknames, such as pet or darling. But using her first name meant that she was serious, and perhaps angry. And looking at her now, it may just be the latter.

Isabella swallowed and winced as her throat throbbed painfully at the action and Alcina clearly noticed this as she frowned and rubbed her thumb against the brunette’s cheek, almost in a comforting way. A knock to the door interrupted the silence and the maid returned all with what Alcina wanted. A fresh bowl of water with a clean rag and a bowl of looked like to be soup, along with some tea. She placed the tray on the side table and took the older one and left without another word, not even sparing a glance at Isabella as she lay in Alcina’s bed.

Alcina turned and poured the tea, a herbal smell coming from it before turning back to Isabella and urging her into a sitting position before handing it to her. Isabella took it with trembling hands and lifted it to her nose to give it a smell.

“It is from Donna’s Garden, a medicinal herb. It should help.” Alcina said, making Isabella nod before taking a sip. It was a little spicy it eased her sore throat almost immediately.

Isabella continued to sip it until it was finished, Alcina watching and waiting for her the entire time before taking the empty cup from the brunette and placing it on the side table before turning back to her. Her eyes bored into Isabella’s as she stared her down.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were sick? And why were you going to work in that condition when it was clearly dangerous for you to do so?”

She was angry, Isabella could hear it in Alcina’s voice. She gulped and tried to think of an excuse, but she knew it was a lost cause. Alcina would know she was lying and that will not end well. So she sighed before ducking her head to Alcina, not wanting to meet her eyes.

“I didn’t want to cause any problems. I thought I would be able to handle it on my own, just with a few days.”

“Clearly not as you fainted before my very eyes.”

Isabella ducked her head even more, shame filling her as that is not what Isabella wanted to happen. Alcina let out a frustrated sigh before she refilled the cup again with the medicinal tea and handed it back to the maid before leaning back into her original sitting position beside the bed.

“I am disappointed that you did not tell. I thought for certain you trusted me more than enough to tell me about what ails you. We are partners after all. Clearly you didn’t have enough trust in me.”

Isabella snapped her head up, eyes widened as she began to protest.

“A-Alcina-“

“Hush.”

Alcina’s look was enough to silence the brunette and Isabella ducked her head in shame, cheeks getting hot as you felt overwhelming guilt for what you have done. A few moments of silence passed before Alcina sighed, turning around to grab the bowl of soup.

“You are to rest here until you are better. I will have the other maids fulfil your duties.”

“But Alcina-“

“I will hear no argument of it. You are sick and I will not have it get any worse because you were simply too proud to tell me.”

Isabella’s heart dropped at Alcina’s words, and she ducked her head down again in shame. She accepted the bowl of soup without looking at her mistress and looked at the contents sorrowfully. But then she heard a sigh and felt one of Alcina’s large hands cup the back of her head and bringing it forward until the brunette felt Alcina’s lips press against her forehead.

“Do not be afraid to tell me when you are sick pet. I will under no circumstances be angry about it. You would not cause me any problems. You are my lover, and I should care for you as such. Do not make the same mistake again. Trust me next time.”

Isabella felt warm and blushed at Alcina’s tender words and felt another kiss to her forehead before Alcina pulled away and had the brunette eat the soup in peaceful silence until she finished it and then poured a third cup of tea before leaving to make a call to Donna, apparently the dollmaker having quite a few medicinal plants which can be used to help with Isabella’s fever. Once she organised everything with Donna, Alcina then returned to Isabella’s side and then pressed a cool cloth to her forehead before having her go to sleep, pressing a kiss to her forehead before walking to her dressing table where Isabella just noticed there were papers to be filled in.

Until she recovered from her fever, Isabella stayed in Alcina’s room, and her lover stayed by her side, choosing to do her work at her dressing table rather than her working room where she always did her work. And she took plenty of breaks to tend and care for Isabella, giving her Donna’s medicinal tea and making sure she ate everything that was prepared for her by the kitchen maids. Even when Donna decided to make a visit to check out the maid herself, Alcina did not stray from her side. She stood behind Donna as the dollmaker checked her out, eyes never straying as she watches everything that Donna did to her paramour.

While being sick is a horrible feeling, Isabella wouldn’t mind being sick again if it meant that she would be so cared for by Alcina. Even though Alcina was one of the most feared Lords throughout the land, she is nothing but a caring woman behind the castle walls to her daughters, and to her lover. She loves how caring that Alcina was to her, even though Alcina will brush it off as she believes it is essentially her responsibly to care for her lover. But Isabella loved it. She loved being cared for by Alcina and seeing how much the countess loves her.

Bela Dimitrescu:

Alexia didn’t expect it. While she knows that she is the favourite target for all of the maids, she thought that she would at least be spared during dinner duty. But apparently the others had waited long enough because as she was walking into the kitchen with a tray filled with the empty plates used during the dinner service, she felt a hard shove against her back and she was sent sprawling onto the kitchen floor, the plates and tray hitting the ground with her.

Pain was what she immediately felt. Not only in her knees and her body from the impact of falling, but from her hands where a sharp, stinging pain burned in her palms and forearms. From her fall, the plates and tray went flying and broke on impact on the marble floor of the kitchen and Alexia happened to land right on top of them, cutting herself while cruel snickers echoed around the kitchen as the maids who witnessed her fall began to laugh at her misfortune.

“So, so clumsy Alexia. You really do have two left feet. What a klutz.”

Laughter erupted again from the quip and Alexia couldn’t even try stop the tears escaping the corners of her eyes as she shakily went to kneel, slowly lifting her hands to see the damage inflicted on them by the broken plates. They were covered in small cuts, scattered along her palms, and creeping up her forearms which even had bits of plate pieces stuck in them.

It hurt. It hurt a lot.

“Screw off you lousy bitch. You pushed her!”

An angry voice pierced through the laughter in the kitchen by the other maids and Alexia glanced to see the one of the newer maids pushing past the others with an angry look on her face, strands of her blonde hair bouncing slightly as they dangled in her face. The girl knelt down beside Alexia, being careful to avoid the broken pieces of the plates and winced when she saw the blood seeping from Alexia’s wounds.

“Shit, those look bad. You need to get those wrapped up. Can you stand up?”

Alexia nodded slightly, not used to being treated nicely by another maid. And she was further surprised when the blonde made took her by the elbow and lifted her up to her feet. Alexia winced, her legs shaking slightly as she steadied herself, her body groaning in protest as pain spread through her body from the fall and gravitating towards her openly wounded arms and hands.

“Oh Morgan, you are surely-“

“I have eyes dumbass; I saw what happened and I have half the mind to slam your ass right on top of this broken China.”

Alexia ears tuned off from what the blonde maid was saying, instead focusing on the throbbing of her palms and arms.

It hurt. Really hurt.

“-anyway , I’ll clean this up. Go get those things cleaned and wrapped up.”

Alexia flinched when she felt the hands touch her shoulders gently, no malicious intentions behind them. She glanced up to see the blonde maid looking at her with gentle eyes, urging her towards the door to leave the kitchen.

“…Thank you.” She whispered and the girl smiled before nodding, pushing her gently before turning back to the broken plates on the floor.

Alexia left the kitchen, keeping her head down while she heard scoffs and grumbles from the other maids, feeling their glares on her as she made her exit. They were going to try get her again, it is just a matter of when.

The raven-haired maid started making her way towards the servant quarters, clutching her hands to her chest to try preventing it from dripping on the marble floors of the castle. She still has a small supply of bandages left in her room; she just hopes it will be enough to wrap up all the cuts otherwise she will have to try convincing the head of maids to lend her some more bandages. She just hopes that she can make it there without any further detrimental affects to her for the day.

Alexia just turned the corner when she all but slammed into a cool body, the colour black catching Alexia’s eyes almost immediately and the maid couldn’t help but let out a squeak when she looked up and saw the blonde strands of the eldest Dimitrescu which she had not just served at dinner just a while ago.

“You see things better if your eyes are off the ground little one.”

Alexia couldn’t help but blush when she heard the humour in Bela’s voice as she addressed the maid, looking up to see golden eyes twinkling slightly as she took in the maid. But then she noticed Bela’s eyes locking in on Alexia’s hands that were pressed to her chest and suddenly her facial features hardened. Alexia tried her best not to flinch when Bela suddenly lifted a hand and reached out to her, cool fingers wrapping around her wrist and pulling it away from her chest, so it was not between the two of them.

“You’re bleeding.”

Her voice was neutral and cool, not showing any emotions as her eyes glided over her injuries, taking in every detail. Alexia couldn’t help but tense, shuffling slightly on the spot as she tried not to crumble under Bela’s intense gaze on her injuries as she reached out and grabbed the maid’s other hand to take in her injuries. She swallowed thickly when Bela’s eyes eventually flinted up and locked eyes with hers.

“What happened?”

While it sounded like a question, Alexia knew that it was a demand. Bela wanted to know what happened and judging from the hard look on her face, something told her that it would be best not to tell her the truth. While Bela was the most stable one between her sisters, she could be just as unpredictable as her younger siblings and Alexia did not know what would happen if she told the truth.

“I…I fell in the kitchen. I was carrying some plates and…I tripped.”

Alexia winced as she tried to lie, never being a good liar. And Bela picked up on that immediately. Her eyes narrowed and she took a step forward, closing the distance between the two of them. She smelled like blood, something to be expected as she literally just had dinner with her family. But the blood was mixed with a sweet smell, a perfume which the blonde always wore.

It…was oddly a wonderful scent.

“Right, and the truth?”

She was staring deep into Alexia’s eyes as she waited for the maid to answer. Alexia swallowed again and looked away, knowing that she can’t come up with another lie while on the spot with the blonde Dimitrescu staring so intently at you.

Bela didn’t like that.

Cool fingers were suddenly gripping her chin and turning her back to look at the golden eyes which were only getting darker with each passing moment. She saw Bela’s jaw flex in frustration, her expression hard as she glared at the maid.

“Tell me. Now.”

“I-I tripped…and fell.”

Hopelessness filled Alexia’s body and she hissed slightly when she felt pressure on her wounds, Bela tightening her grip on Alexia’s arms in frustration at the raven’s obvious attempt of lying about the origin of her injuries.

“…”

The silence between the two of them was suffocating and there was nothing more than what Alexia wanted to do but to run away. But there was no way that she could since Bela had such a tight grip on her and would catch her immediately in her bug form.

Bela slightly loosened her grip on the maid’s wrists, no longer putting pressure on the wounds and Alexia thought that just maybe that the blonde would let her go. To just allow her to leave and forget about this whole thing.

Only the blonde didn’t.

Suddenly Alexia found herself get tugged away, led by her wrist while Bela’s back was all that she could see as the blonde began to lead her through the castle, pulling her in the opposite direction of where the servant quarters were. She was led up the stairs of the castle and dragged through the corridors until suddenly Alexia found herself standing behind Bela as she reached a room door and opened it before tugging her inside after her.

Luxury was the first thing that came to mind when she entered the room. It was glamourous like every other aspect of the castle, but it held a certain sophistication which very much matched the eldest daughter of Lady Dimitrescu. It was clean and organised and Alexia could see that everything had its own place that wouldn’t be noticed if it was moved. But what caught the raven’s attention was the large bed which she was suddenly being led to.

Bela turned around and released Alexia’s wrist to only put her hands on the maid’s shoulders and push, making the raven tumble back to sit on the bed. And then without a word she walked away, heading to the door which led to another room, the bathroom as she noticed a bath standing in the far side of the bathroom as Bela walked in. The maid heard another door being opened and a bit of fumbling before the blonde returned, a bag in her hands as she returned to the bed and sat down next to the raven. Bela opened the bag and poured out its contents onto the bed, surprising the raven as she saw several types of bandages, ointments, and other first aid items which she did not expect the blonde vampire to have as she was one of the residents who caused injuries to maids.

Cool fingers suddenly wrapped around one of Alexia’ wrists and she flinched when her arm was pulled forward, it suddenly being the centre of attention as Bela gently began to clean it, pausing for a few moments when the raven hissed in pain, the stinging pain from the antiseptic hitting her like a train., before she continued to clean it. She cleaned both arms of the maid before she then picked up a bandage, unravelling it before expertly wrapping it around Alexia’s wounds, making sure to make them tight enough to stop the bleeding, but not too tight that it was uncomfortable.

Bela didn’t say a word as she tended to Alexia’s wounds. Her golden eyes were fixed on her task, and she didn’t let on that she knew that the maid was staring at her in shock and awe. Here Alexia was, in Bela Dimitrescu’s room, and she was being bandaged up by the eldest daughter herself.

It was shocking to say the least.

While Alexia and Bela did spend time together in the library reading books, and at times discussing the various books they have both read by Bela’s demand, this was completely new territory. She has never been in the blonde’s room, and this was certainly the first time that Bela has so willingly touched her or treated her like…a fellow human being.

Although Bela was not a human. She was a vampire, a superior being who very much drank the blood of maids and killed so many. She was a terrifying being, a killing machine that was feared throughout the land.

And yet she just looked so human caring for Alexia like this.

..

.

Caring?

“Done.”

Alexia jumped at the sudden word that left the blonde’s lips and she now noticed that both of her arms and hands were bandaged, so expertly done that it looked like it was done by a doctor. But they weren’t.

They were done by the one and only Bela Dimitrescu.

“T-Thank you lady Bela.” She suddenly said, testing the pressure of the bandages by making fists with both hands.

Bela hummed before she gathered up all her medical aid kit and standing up from the bed to head back to the bathroom to return the medical kit to its rightful place. Alexia remained on the bed, unsure on what to do as she waited for Bela to return. The blonde walked back into the room and headed straight to a table which had a few books on it, picking up two before walking to the two chairs which were standing in front of the fireplace in the room. She placed a book on one seat before moving over to the other, taking a seat and leaning back as she opened a book.

A few moments passed before she looked up to gaze at Alexia, who was still sitting on the bed.

“What are you waiting for? Take a seat and read that book, I want to know what you think of it.”

Alexia blinked in surprise, but she quickly followed the blonde’s orders, walking over to the other chair and picking up the book before taking a seat. She gazed at Bela for a few moments before opening the book, the black and white words easing her into the story as she began to read with the blonde in her room.

While Bela did not admit to it at that time, the fluttering feeling at seeing the maid settling down and relaxing for the first time since she bumped into the blonde in the corridor after dinner were the seeds of care that the blonde held for the raven. Seeing the raven in pain did not make Bela gleeful like it usually would. Instead, she wanted to fix her. So she did. She did not quite understand why but only she realised later why she bandaged Alexia’s wounds that night.

It was because she was starting to care for the maid, much more than a simple maid that serves the family. And that care eventually grew into something else in the next few months.

Cassandra Dimitrescu:

Dammit! Just why does she have to love these hunting games!

Morgan screamed in her head as she sprinted through the forest with a very playful and predatory Cassandra not too far behind. The blonde is no way new to this feeling of being hunted as she has found herself becoming the new maid of interest to the brunette Dimitrescu, which could never be a good thing. She doesn’t know what she did to suddenly gain the interest of the middle daughter, but she knows that her heart won’t be able to handle the constant jump scares the brunette loves to pull on her throughout the day forever. The brunette just seemed to find great pleasure in messing with the blonde.

The brunette is very fond of suddenly pouncing on Morgan when she was doing her duties, completely taking the blonde by surprise, and pressing her roughly against whatever flat surface she is closest to and then snapping her teeth just inches away from Morgan’s nose. Morgan always lets out a yelp at the close proximity and that prompts a wild grin forming across Cassandra’s face.

Hiiii.”

She always seems to purr in greeting, a playful glint in her eyes before she cackles and breaks off into her swarm and leaving behind a startled Morgan who is clutching her nose in relief while covering her heart with her hand while she tries to get it to calm down.

While Morgan could tolerate the random pouncing from the brunette during intervals of the day, she didn’t quite know how to feel when the brunette began to actively look for her in the castle. Cassandra was the Dimitrescu which all maids wished to avoid as she was by far the deadliest, and yet it seemed that all Morgan did was attract the brunette which did not bode well with her fellow maids. In fact, it kind of caused the maids want to avoid the blonde completely so that they could avoid a run in with Cassandra in her stalking of Morgan.

Morgan recalls the one time when she and another maid were both ordered to clean the East Wing of the castle but as they were making their way towards it, the faint sound of buzzing could be heard. That was never a good thing to hear.  Both Morgan and the other maid tensed at the sound, awaiting the appearance of one of the daughters but no one came. The buzzing sound faded away, letting Morgan and the other maid relax a bit before continuing their journey to the East Wing.

But of course it did not last long because the buzzing sound came again and this time, they were much closer than before. Both Morgan and the other maid were getting nervous, but Morgan felt more tense than usual. The coming and going of the buzzing insects were riling her up and her fight-or-flight instincts were beginning to kick in as they continued their way to the East Wing. When they finally got to a room, the buzzing faded away and while the other maid sighed in relief, Morgan was still tense. She had the overwhelming feeling that she was being watched and the hair at the back of her neck prickled as she began to clean. She felt…hunted.

The feeling of being hunted was proven to be true as the buzzing came back in full blast and this time insects entered the room where the two maids were cleaning, and Morgan suddenly felt hands on her hips and loud cackle in her ears as a cool body pressed against her back.

“Gotcha.”

Morgan screamed and whirled around with her duster in hand to be used as a weapon, but it was easily deflected, or more like sliced, by Cassandra’s sickle. The middle Dimitrescu moved her weapon to underneath Morgan’s chin, pressing the metal against her skin as she threatened it cut it.

“Aren’t you a brave one to try hit me.”

Morgan’s heart was in her throat, the shock of the appearance of Cassandra, who now had her sickle pressed to her neck, was making her heart pound in fear. And Cassandra could obviously hear it as her eyes glanced down to the blonde’s chest where her heart was pounding rapidly and glanced back up to lock eyes with a maid while a wild grin formed across her face. She tapped her sickle against Morgan’s jaw and lifted a hand to trace a finger down the blonde’s cheek.

“I like this expression on you. Just makes me want to hunt you and take a bite.”

Cassandra licked her front teeth languidly and Morgan couldn’t believe that she actually thought the action was kind of…sexy? She must really be going mad. She had to be going crazy because she swore that Cassandra…purred those words, almost as if she was…flirting with the blonde.

Wait…was she?

Morgan couldn’t quite tell, and she didn’t have time to find out as Cassandra let out a cackle before removing herself from the blonde, not even taking notice of the second maid in the room. She snapped her teeth playfully at Morgan.

“Until next time little rabbit.”

She then broke off into her swarm of insects and left the room, leaving the two maids behind. One which was relieved at her exit, while the other was somehow aroused and frustrated at the same time.

But what is most definitely Cassandra’s favourite thing to do with Morgan is to play games with her. Most particularly, hunting games. With Cassandra as the hunter and Morgan the prey.

And Morgan hates it.

It was not like she was in the position to say no unless she wanted to have an early death by the hands of a sickle, or even worse yet, be dragged to the dungeon to play a different kind of game with Cassandra. Morgan was terrified enough that she was at the risk of getting killed by any daughter in the castle but running through the forest with the most vicious one was just a whole new type of terrifying. Cassandra was literally built to kill and while Morgan prides herself on surviving this far in life, she does not have the confidence to say that she could beat Cassandra in a fight. Because she most definitely wouldn’t win.

Though Morgan must say she is proud of the fact that she is lasting longer in these games. When she first started ‘playing’ with Cassandra, it took about fifteen minutes before the brunette to catch her and sunk her teeth into the blonde’s neck for a victory snack, something which Cassandra deemed fair since she was the hunter catching her prey. But thankfully she hasn’t drained Morgan dry yet so Morgan at least is happy about living this far.

Morgan was by no means slow though. She has always been the athletic type and she has adapted fairly quickly to these games, lasting longer each time which seemed to excite Cassandra as the hunting games started to become more frequent and extended to the delight of Cassandra and to the dismay of Morgan.

“Keep running little rabbit! Keep running! It will just make you taste even sweeter!”

The defiant side of Morgan wanted to stop straight away to end the hunt early, but the logical side of Morgan slapped her defiant side across the face. There is no possible way she was just going to hand a victory to Cassandra. That was a one-way ticket to a possible draining of her life. Cassandra hated it when her fun was ruined, and if a lowly human decides to end her fun, it will result in the human’s death.

And Morgan did not plan to be the said human.

The blonde leapt over roots and weaved through trees, doing everything she can to outrun the brunette who was closing in on her. The competitive part of Morgan always awakens when she plays these games with Cassandra, no matter how messed up it is. But what was sick was that Morgan was actually beginning to enjoy these chases. Which was very, very sick indeed.

Morgan could hear Cassandra cackle in delight, and it sent goosebumps across Morgan’s skin. The brunette’s taunts and jeers just motivated Morgan to run faster. She wanted to quip back to the brunette but that would be a bad strategy move as it will give her position away. For all she knows, today might be the last game she might play with the brunette due to her unpredictability. Morgan could not get a read on Cassandra and each time she played these games with her was like dangling her life on a thread that was being held by Cassandra who was holding scissors to the thread. Only she could cut it or not.

“I can smell your fear little rabbit! Oh I can taste your blood already!”

Shit.

Morgan kept running and Cassandra’s cackles were getting louder by the second. Her body was burning, and she could feel herself beginning to slow down. Compared to a vampire, there is only so much time that a human body can last. Cassandra didn’t get tired like Morgan did, which put the blonde to a disadvantage. She was panting and sweating profusely, getting exhausted by each passing second. She looked back to see if Cassandra was near her, which ended up being a mistake because looking back prevented her from seeing the exposed crevice in the rocky landscape she was running on.

The pain was instantaneous, and it only worsened when Morgan’s body weight lurched forwards as her foot became trapped in the crevice. She was in so much pain that she couldn’t even utter a sound as she clutched at her leg, her body throbbing from the hard fall when her foot got caught and unbearable pain centralising around her foot. The rocky surface had no doubt scrapped her skin, and she could feel blood soaking into her socks as it remained stuck in the crevice. Morgan was in so much pain that she didn’t even notice the middle Dimitrescu catching up to her with a wicked grin.

“Gotcha little-“

Cassandra’s voice suddenly cut off mid-sentence and Morgan managed to ignore the pain for a moment to glance up to see the brunette staring at her. All traces of amusement and delight was wiped from her face and instead Cassandra’s features were screwed up as she took in Morgan’s state.

“What did you do?”

Her tone was sharp, and Morgan gritted her teeth another wave of pain shot through her. She tried to control her breathing, trying her best not to cry as she tried to pull her foot out of the crevice, only to stop immediately and hiss in pain as another wave shot through her. Her ankle was probably twisted or broken even.

Dammit.

“I didn’t see the crevice. I fell and I can’t get my foot out. It…it hurts.”

She couldn’t help but whimper out the last bit, unable to hide the pain in her voice. The only thing occupying her mind was her foot and not the vampire who could take advantage of the situation if she wanted to. But surprisingly, Cassandra didn’t do anything. In fact, she didn’t say anything. She just stared at Morgan for a few minutes with multiple emotions flashing through her eyes, unbeknownst to the maid as she tried to pull her foot out of the crevice again but to no avail.

Was this how she was going to die?

Morgan jumped when she suddenly felt a hand on her leg and she whipped her head up to see Cassandra kneeling beside her, her sickle discarded on the floor as she looked intently at Morgan’s trapped foot. She gave it a slight pull but immediately stopped when Morgan hissed in pain and immediately covered Cassandra’s hands with her own to get her stop.

“Stop it! It hurts!”

Cassandra turned and locked eyes with Morgan. Shit. She has down it now. She was going to get killed. She was going to be the sad maid that was killed in the forest with her foot stuck in a rock. Wonderful. Just great.

Morgan waited for Cassandra to lash out, to sink her teeth into her neck and drain her until her last drop of blood was gone. Or to pick up her sickle and slack and hack her up until there was nothing left to her. She waited for that type of reaction from the brunette. But not the one which she had received.

“Don’t move.”

That was all Cassandra said before she slammed her fist in the rocky surface, her grip on Morgan’s leg tightening as she began to pull it as the rock crumbled around it. Cassandra kept punching the ground until it finally broke enough to pull Morgan’s foot from out from the crevice. The display of Cassandra’s inhumane strength was amazing but Morgan’s focus quickly shifted back to her foot which was now free and throbbing in pain.

Morgan went to clutch her ankle, letting out shaky breath as she tried to steady herself, not noticing Cassandra staring at her with an unreadable expression. She glanced down at Morgan’s ankle and reached out to touch it, barely putting enough pressure on it when Morgan hissed in pain again.

“Can you walk?’” She asked and Morgan immediately shook her head, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to.

There were a few moments of silence until suddenly Morgan was suddenly weightless, in the arms of the brunette vampire. Morgan let out a yelp and stared at the vampire in shock, but Cassandra stared straight ahead as she began to walk in the direction towards the castle.

“L-Lady Cassandra-“

“We’re going home.”

Home?

Morgan couldn’t help but stare in absolute shock as Cassandra carried her back to the castle, not uttering a single word until they arrived back. She immediately ordered the first maid she saw to get the head maid and then carried Morgan to the servant quarters and waited with her until the head maid eventually arrived with a first aid kit. When the head maid began to tend to Morgan’s leg, the blonde thought that the brunette would leave but instead Cassandra stood and watched the head maid tending to Morgan’s leg until the end.

It was very badly sprained, and the head maid said that she would have to stay off it for a while for it to heal. Morgan paled at the implications of her not working and both she and the head maid glanced at the brunette in the room, who had her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. Both maids flinched when Cassandra spoke for the first time since arriving to the castle.

“If I find out she is doing any hard work, it will be your head I will have served at dinner. Got it?”

The head maid hastily nodded, and Morgan stared at the brunette in shock until she turned to look at Morgan too. And Morgan was surprised to see a flash of tenderness in Cassandra’s eyes before it quickly disappeared. Cassandra then clicked her tongue at the blonde.

“Recover quickly little rabbit. You owe me another hunt.”

And then she broke off into her swarm of insects, leaving the two maids behind. And later that night when Morgan went to bed, the blonde was certain that she heard the faint sound of buzzing outside her room. But deciding that she had enough for the one day, she ignored it and fell asleep. It was only in the morning when she woke up did she realise that she had a caring late night visitor as she found her foot propped up on some pillows which most definitely did not belong to her. In fact, they very much looked like the ones that were in a certain brunette Dimitrescu’s room.

But Cassandra never will admit it, but her care for the blonde was made quite clearly that day. And Morgan never forgets it.

Daniela Dimitrescu:

Optimistic was one of the words you could use to describe Raya since she is known around the castle for her happy-go-lucky attitude and almost whimsical mindset on life. She was certainly different from the other maids as all they did was tremble in fear and tried their best to mind their place in the castle to make sure that they lived another day. But not Raya. Raya just danced to the beat of her own drum and had a happy outlook on everything. No matter what was thrown at her, she always took it with a smile on her face that would be followed with a laugh.

Raya really was a different one. One would not expect a girl to be so cheerful and whimsical especially since the type of childhood she had in a village filled of people of her own kind. In fact, she almost seemed happy to be living the castle. But that was perhaps due to the fellow redhead who happened to take her in after having the chance encounter with the human during a hunt with her sisters in the forest.

The youngest Dimitrescu bursting into the castle without a drop of fresh blood on her was out of the ordinary, but it was especially bizarre to see that she had a human in her arms who wasn’t  bleeding or screaming in pain in any way. But what really took the cake was when she sought out her mother and practically pleaded with childish excitement if she could keep her new human pet.

A pet.

Daniela was the last one in the family who should ever get a pet because it will end up dead due to her wild personality. She was the most unpredictable out of the three sisters and while Cassandra was unpredictable herself as maids feared of catching the brunette in the wrong mood and becoming her next plaything, Daniela was just a whole other level. She was wild, messy, and completely out of it that she even caught her own sisters and mother off guard at times.

But she wanted a pet. She wanted Raya to become her new pet.

And somehow Alcina had agreed to her youngest’s pleas.

While Daniela has attempted to have human pets before, they barely survived a week as Daniela would simply snap and end up draining them dry or slicing them with her sickle and watch them bleed out on the floor. But it was the most surprising to see Raya remain intact far longer than any other maid has ever lasted. But what was more surprising was that Raya actually seemed to like the position that she was in.

Raya was deemed an oddball herself in the castle because of her completely different attitude compared to the other maids. So much so that the other maids completely avoided her because there was no way someone would actually like being the human pet for Daniela. No one could ever be sane enough to actually enjoy being in the situation that they were in the castle, where they can become the next meal or plaything in the dungeon who will inevitably become the contents of the infamous wine produced in the castle.

But Raya was happy.

Oddly enough, she wasn’t scared. While she understood why everyone else was scared of the Dimitrescu’s and the dangers of working as a maid in the castle, Raya simply could not find herself being scared. Because quite honestly, her life before the castle was far much worse than it is now.

While everyone has their own story and shouldn’t compare them to others as circumstances are always different, Raya doesn’t think that there is anyone who can say they have shared the same experiences as her. Being condemned by the whole village because everyone wanted something or someone to blame for all the hell which has been thrusted upon them and so they chose a single girl to become the reason for all their problems isn’t something that everyone can say that they experience. But despite of all that, Raya tried not to let it get to her.

Because a smile is much better than tears and she sees no point in drowning herself in the unfairness tossed upon her by life to stop her from living it.

And quite honestly, what can be so bad about a pretty lady caring for her?

Daniela is beautiful and Raya sees no reason why she should keep quiet about it. If you see a pretty lady, you should tell her and bring a smile on her face. Everyone deserves to be called beautiful in their life. And clearly Daniela does not hear it often given how everyone views her in the castle. But it was not just Daniela’s looks that made Raya’s position in the castle so worthwhile. It was the amount of care which Daniela showed her.

Daniela simply was misunderstood. To everyone else, she is just the mad, bloodthirsty monster who loved inflicting pain on others. But when Raya looked at Daniela, she didn’t see a monster at all. She saw a beautiful lady who lived in a fantasy world just like Raya did. They didn’t know that she has read every single romance and fantasy book in the library so that she can escape from the life which she currently resides in. They don’t see the girl who has nightmares at certain times of the night of which she bursts awake from with teeth snarling and clashing to fight off whatever predator was hunting her in the dreams.

And they don’t see the gentle, humane side of her like Raya does when the redhead cares for her.

While Raya maintains her happy persona in the day, it is entirely different at night. No matter how much Raya wishes that she can pretend that her upbringing hasn’t affected her in any way, nothing can stop the nightmares that come to her at night which consists of her getting chased through the forest, torches burning, pitch forks raised and any other weapon imaginable locked and loaded as she was hunted for her cause of the hell unleashed onto the village.

‘Demon child!’

‘Witch!’

“Devil spawn!’

‘Daughter of-‘

“-Raya! Raya! Raya!”

A sudden hard impact in her back is what woke Raya up from her nightmare, the faces of her family and the village folk replaced with the sole face of Daniela Dimitrescu staring down at her with wide, panicked eyes. Raya was breathing heavily, and she felt that she was sweating profusely from the nightmare. She knows it was only a dream, but it was so real. It really rattled her and no matter how much Raya pretends it doesn’t bother her, it still does.

“Raya are you okay? You were dreaming! Was it the same dream again? You were moving and moving but you weren’t awake! You wanted to cry!”

Raya only now realised that Daniela was actually straddling her and had her hands on her shoulders which were pinning her down to the bed. It seemed that Daniela had woken her up by lifting her and slamming her against the mattress. Daniela doesn’t rally have tact when it comes to waking up others. But that wasn’t really much of a problem to Raya as it did the trick of getting her out the dream.

“Y-Yeah, it was…the same dream.” Raya swallowed thickly, trying to get her heart rate under control before gazing back up at Daniela and noticing her lack of sleepiness and the dark circles around her eyes. “…Did you have another nightmare again too?”

Daniela looked away from her, ducking her head so that her hair fell over her face in an attempt to hide her embarrassment, but Raya knew better. She reached up and slid her hand behind Daniela’s neck and slid her fingers into her hair, massaging it gently. Daniela closed her eyes and slumped her head down to rest it on Raya’s chest, a low purr leaving the redhead as she revelled in the comforting touch of the human. But Daniela lifted her head and looked at Raya with furrowed eyebrows while her fingers curled into Raya’s nightdress.

“Your heart is still racing.”

That it was. The dream was still fresh in Raya’s mind and her heart was still beating quickly as the images she saw was still flashing through her head. And Daniela could obviously hear it with her superior hearing. Raya jumped when she suddenly felt a warm hand against her cheek and her attention was rediverted to the youngest Dimitrescu as she shifted herself upwards on Raya so that press her forehead against Raya’s.

“Don’t be scared. I will keep you safe. You’re mine. I take care of you.”

Raya couldn’t help but smile and covered Daniela’s hand on her cheek with her own before moving her other hand away from Daniela’s hair to slide it down her spine and wrap around her waist.

“I know you do Dani. I know I’m safe with you.”

Daniela’s purrs increased in volume and the redhead moved to burrow her face in Raya’s neck, wrapping her arms around the human redhead in a tight grip.

“I’ll always take care of you.” She murmured. And Raya couldn’t help but smile as she heard her.

“I know.”

Chapter Text

Alcina Dimitrescu

The relationship that Isabella formed with her lady was a very slow progressing one. While Alcina later admitted that she was attracted to Isabella when she first saw her cleaning her room that fateful day, she only decided to act on her attraction very much later on. Alcina took time to dement her feelings for something or someone, and in Isabella’s case, it took a while for her to even grasp the concept that Alcina was attracted to her.

However once the attraction between the two of them were acted on, Isabella realised the desire that Alcina actually had for the maid.

The power dynamics between the Dimitrescus’ and the maids was very explicit. Alcina and her daughters were a powerful force, and the maids were very movable objects. Their word was law one could only be stupid to ever defy the law placed by its residents. A slash to the face was a minimal punishment compared to what is done to maids in the dungeons, with the three daughters being more than happy to execute the punishments.

So Isabella would say that her relationship with Alcina started out slow, but once it was cemented, she found out that Alcina’s desire for her is very prominent.

The lady of the castle had another meeting with Mother Miranda and the other lords today and to say that Isabella was prepared would be an understatement. She knows exactly how the lady will be once she returns to the castle. Alcina does have a good measure of patience, especially since she is the mother of three very boisterous daughters, but even she has her limits.

And at the end of these meetings, her patience has been tested long enough.

Isabella sighed as she waited patiently for Alcina to arrive back to the castle, keeping a watch out from one of the windows to make sure that she does not miss her lady’s arrival. She has prepped according to draw a bath  for her lover, scented oils and soaps prepared so that she may tend to Alcina immediately once she arrives.

She knows that the vampiric woman will be at her wits end with all she had to deal with during the meeting, and as her lover and personal handmaiden, it was her job to tend to her.

Isabella hummed to herself before finally spotting the golden carriage arriving back to the castle, her stomach fluttering as she watched it stop in front of the castle and Alcina stepping out from it. Due to her hat covering most of her face, Isabella could not see her lady’s expression but just judging by the way she was holding herself and walking towards the entrance, Isabella already had an idea of how the meeting went.

The front doors of the castle opened, echoing deeply as the sound of heels followed afterwards, the hunched figure of Lady Dimitrescu appearing as she bent down under the doorway before finally stepping through, standing to her full height once she was inside, the doors closing behind her almost immediately. Isabella immediately bowed her head.

“Welcome home milady.”

“Isabella.”

The tightness in Alcina’s voice was evident, a sign at her restrained frustration; however when she said the maid’s name, Isabella noticed the slight edge of relief from the vampiric woman as she peered down at her handmaiden and lover. Isabella lifted her head again and gazed at the vampire.

“How was the meeting?”

Alcina immediately huffed and shook her head before walking, not even bothering to order Isabella to follow her as the brunette was already a few footsteps behind her, following the familiar path to the Alcina’s chambers. When they arrived at Alcina’s room, Isabella quickly darted forward to open it for Alcina and waited for her mistress to walk through before following her.

“That Heisenberg is a menace to this world! To think that Mother Miranda would prefer his advice over mind. The audacity of it all!”

Alcina immediately began to rant about the meeting, her frustration and annoyance easily slipping through as she took of her hat and roughly placed it on her dressing table before she took a seat, taking out her earrings as she continued to rant.

Isabella dutifully moved to the bottle of wine which she had prepared, guessing that Alcina would need it after the meeting, and expertly poured some wine into a glass before walking over to Alcina, offering it to her like a worshipper at a shrine. Alcina paused from her rant to take the glass, her other hand moving to trace a finger down Isabella’s cheek.

“Thank you, pet.”

“Anything for you my lady, I am here to serve after all.”

Alcina smiled at that before bringing the glass to her lips, taking a generous sip from the glass before letting out a frustrated sigh after she swallowed. She took another one immediately after. While Alcina allowed her delicately brewed wine to soothe her frustrations just by a little, Isabella moved behind her and dutifully began to brush out Alcina’s curls.

One of Isabella’s favourite things to do for Alcina was brushing out her hair because it gave her the opportunity to gently touch the soft strands without detection. Though Isabella is certain that she is not as subtle as she thinks because Alcina is aware of how affected the maid becomes in her presence and it is no secret how infatuated the brunette is with the older vampire.

Not that she is complaining though, because the desire for the maid was easily reciprocated.

Alcina had already poured herself a second glass of wine as Isabella had finished off brushing his mistress’s hair. Isabella placed the hairbrush on the stand before moving to the laces on Alcina’s dress, slowly undoing them like she usually does at the end of the day. Although this time Alcina had decidedly chosen to allow more than that to happen.

Isabella wasn’t even halfway done with the dress when Alcina turned around, gracefully as always, and her hand going to Isabella’s hip. Even though she was sitting, the difference in size between Alcina and Isabella was obvious, the vampire’s hand covering most of the brunette’s back and her eyes still peering down at the maid in a golden enraptured gaze.

Her mistress slowly placed her empty glass on her makeup stand before bringing her other hand to cup Isabella’s face, her eyes darkening as she watched as Isabella revelled in her touch, not showing an ounce of fear as Alcina’s fingers wrapped around her head while her palm pressed against Isabella’s cheek. The brunette’s eyes fluttered shut, leaning into the touch.

She felt safe with Alcina. She had no reason to fear her. Even though she has seem the vampire matriarch at her angriest when she was simply a maid and not at all connected to Alcina in any way, she had no reason to fear her. And now that they have formed a bond so intimate and close, she has no further reason to be afraid of her.

Alcina would never hurt her. Not even if she was angry.

The fingers that slipped in Isabella’s hair tugged, pulling at the brown locks slightly to make the maid open her eyes again and become locked in a golden gaze with her mistress, a dark emotion flinting in those golden orbs which made Isabella shiver in anticipation. And Alcina smirked.

“Is something the matter, pet?”

Isabella opened her mouth to say something, but instead a soft groan left her lips instead when Alcina simply tugged at her hair again. Alcina smirked, her eyes glinting in delight as her eyes slowly scanned the brunette’s figure before looking back at her.

“You simply look ravishing tonight.”

Isabella had no idea how as she was simply wearing the maid uniform which she always wore, but she made no argument as she knew better than to talk back to Alcina. Although her cheeky side always breaks through her logical thought in moments like this.

“My mistress only deserves the best. I was hoping to help you relax.”

“And you will. In more ways than one.”

This time the desire in Alcina’s voice was evidently clear and Isabella couldn’t help but gasp when the hand that was on her hip slip down her leg and up her skirt, not pausing at all as more skin became exposed which Alcina easily took advantage of. Alcina tugged at Isabella’s brown locks again and this time Isabella let out a whimper which prompts Alcina to close the distance between the two of them and press her lips against Isabella’s lips.

Dominating. Powerful. Alcina easily took control of the kiss as her tongue entered the maid’s mouth without hesitation, weakening the maid entirely as she felt her knees shake at the domineering desire that she felt from Alcina through the kiss. Fortunately Alcina was able to predict such a reaction and she easily lifted Isabella into her lap where she continued to kiss the brunette until she was absolutely breathless.

Isabella panted, her entire body on fire as Alcina’s fingers glide under her shirt this time, easily undoing her uniform while her lips occupy Isabella’s neck, biting down with just enough pressure to force another gasp out of the maid. Her other hand was placed on the brunette’s back to prevent her from toppling off, however it soon joined her other hand under Isabella’s shirt as she touched and pressed into the brunette’s humming in delight at the sounds leaving Isabella’s lips.

“A-Alcina…”

Isabella’s couldn’t help but gasp out her lover’s name and Alcina responded with a low growl before standing up completely, sweeping Isabella up bridal style before moving over to the bed where the maid was quickly deposited. Isabella did not have much time to breathe as lips were pressed to her own again, hands clawing into the fabric of Alcina’s dress as large hand moved to her shirt and promptly began to be teared off her body. The same was done to her skirt and Isabella gasped when the cool air nipped at her body as she became completely bare to her mistress who finally pulled away to give her personal maid some much-needed oxygen.

Alcina’s golden eyes were dark, and desire was prominent in her whole posture as she gazed at Isabella’s naked form before smirking predatorily, making Isabella’s squeeze her legs together in an attempt to conceal the sudden wetness that has come from Alcina’s look alone. A poor attempt as Alcina immediately slid a hand between the brunette’s legs and pressed against her, prompting another moan from Isabella which made Alcina chuckle darkly.

“Oh pet…you certainly look very ravishing tonight.”

Isabella trembled as she felt Alcina press her fingers harder against her core, her grip on Alcina’s dress tightening. However she still managed to answer, which practically sealed her fate for the night.

“I-I am here to serve you mistress.”

“And serve me you shall.” Alcina promised, smirking as she leaned down again to claim Isabella’s lips with her own.

Despite the horrid mood that Alcina was in from the meeting, her desire for Isabella is always evident and Isabella is more than happy to serve as a stress relief for her mistress as it provides pleasure for both Alcina and herself.

Bela Dimitrescu

In a romantic sense, Bela is very much like her mother. The transition of Alexia’s relationship with the eldest Dimitrescu daughter was everything but fast. And quite honestly, Alexia was completely taken by surprise by Bela when the blonde first showed her desire for the raven-haired maid.

In the beginning of the relationship, Alexia was not sure on how to define it. Bela was very much her superior, biologically and dynamically due to her standing in the castle. Despite being the…calmer one out of three of the daughters, Bela was just as lethal as Daniela and sadistic as Casandra and one would only be a fool to think to not treat Bela Dimitrescu with respect. Bela was a known perfectionist, and one slip up very much costed a maid a trip down to the dungeon, and sometimes…they never came back.

That was one thing which Alexia did fear the most. Going to the dungeons. No maid is ever the same once they return from the dungeons, if they are lucky enough that is. Plenty of horror stories go through the staff and each one is more morbid and grislier than the previous and Alexia feared that one day it may be her turn to be dragged down those dark steps and to meet those horrors in person in the form of golden eyes and sadistic smiles.

Though the other maids most likely wouldn’t care if Alexia was one of the maids that were dragged down. In fact, they hoped that she would be the next one so that one of their friends is spared from a brutal torture. The raven-haired maid has been fortunate enough to not experience a moment in the dungeons, but it didn’t mean that the fear of being next was appeased. She would much rather have her throat slit on the spot or to freeze overnight in the lands blistering cold climate than to go to the dungeon.

She was terrified of that place, along with the other horrors in the castle that are not just in the basement aspect of the castle.

Alexia was surprised that her worst nightmare didn’t come true that day when she was discovered to be borrowing books from the Dimitrescu library despite it being against the rules. She expected Bela to either kill her right there between the bookshelves, which would have been a mercy, or to drag her to the dungeons to either entertain her or one of her sisters.

But Bela did not do that. Instead, she pushed the next book of the series into her chest and practically ordered her to finish to so that they could discuss it at a later time. To say Alexia was confused would be an understatement. However Alexia was not going to kick a gift horse in the mouth and so she quickly followed the orders of the blonde Dimitrescu in internal delight before finally meeting with the blonde again a few days later, the blonde making a sudden appearance when Alexia was dusting one of the bookshelves again.

“Did you finish it?” She asked, though she more like expected the maid to have followed her orders unless she desired a punishment. So Alexia quickly nodded, and Bela hummed before cocking her head and looking at the maid in a small moment of silence before speaking again. “And what did you think about it?”

And slowly after that, Alexia found herself have book discussions with Bela Dimitrescu. It was odd, confusing, and also quite intimidating. Alexia was wary about giving her true opinions about certain books as she didn’t know if they would conflict with Bela’s opinion, however she slowly allowed herself to do so.

Well, rather that Bela showed no signs of cutting Alexia down for her opinions so that was a small motivator for the maid.

It first started privately in only the comforts of Alexia’s room. She was fortunate enough to not have a roommate and it was her only safe sanctuary from all the residents of the castle, vampire and human. So Alexia managed to read the books given to her by Bela and piece and due to her often getting lost in the world of fiction, she finished the books quite quickly. Something which surprised even Bela as the next day Alexia would be ready to discuss the books with her.

Alexia hardly has any friends in the castle, the closest being Lady Dimitrescu’s newest personal maid. Isabella was remarkably kind, and she has never been mean to Alexia at all. In fact, there were actually a few times that she had stepped in when she walked in on the raven-haired maid getting picked upon by the others. But they hardly saw each other due to working on opposite ends of the castle, as well as Isabella now being busy with her new duties for Lady Dimitrescu.

Due to the fact that she hardly friends opened up Alexia’s heart to the blonde vampire who would get fiery at times during their discussions, especially if it was about a topic she was extremely passionate about. Alexia found herself smiling when Bela would passionately debate with the maid about her perspective of the book or of the characters interactions and slowly but surely, Alexia began to leave her room and began to read with the blonde in the library, it becoming a slow progress due to Alexia’s fear of punishment and Bela’s lack of communication.

She did not expect for the blonde to suddenly invite her to read with her, in fact, she actually rejected the idea in fear of being discovered. While Bela did not seem to mind the maid reading the books from the library, Alexia knew for certain that Bela’s sisters wouldn’t let it pass. The two of them take delight in punishing maids for rule breaking and Alexia did not want to become the latest victim.

But she should have known that rejecting was futile as Bela practically ordered Alexia to join her in the library. Though Alexia saw it more as threat as Bela the sudden appearance of the blonde’s sickle was not a trick of the eyes and Alexia was not stupid enough to believe that Bela was holding her sickle without reason.

And so her reading sessions in the library began.

Alexia was scared for the first bit, eyes always darting from her book to the library door where she was just expecting Cassandra or Daniela, or glory forbid, Lady Dimitrescu, to walk in and catch Alexia comfortingly sitting in one of the library’s armchairs with a book in her lap. And the first when it did happen, it being Daniela who had walked into the library, Alexia’s life flashed before her eyes when she saw Daniela reveal her sickle from her robes and immediately swarm towards her.

But then Bela stopped her sister before anything could happen, slamming her younger sister into the floor before pinning her down completely.

Don’t touch her.” Bela hissed, making her sister’s eyes widen. Daniela then glanced at Alexia from her position under Bela and then back her sister. And then she suddenly had a gleaming smile.

“Oooh, Casandra is going to love this.”

And then she broke off into a swarm, leaving behind a cursing Bela and an outright petrified maid. She was going to die. She was definitely going to die.

..

.

And yet she didn’t.

Surprisingly enough, Alexia did not meet her end by the means of Cassandra and Dimitrescu. Instead, she became a new instrument of teasing for the sisters to use against Bela as they quite often intruded on their reading sessions just to continuously point out and mock their eldest sister for having a fondness for a human.

A fondness. For Alexia.

The thought had lingered in the maid’s mind ever since the discovery of their reading sessions in the library and Bela’s near erratic behaviour when her sisters imposed them were…confusing. Alexia tries her best not to push her luck, simply to do whatever to survive. Despite the underlying feelings that she may have.

The feelings that she had towards Bela were unnerving. She felt pinched, tugged, and kicked internally as her mind and heart was at odds. She doesn’t know how to define her relationship with Bela, she just knows that she will do whatever the blonde wants. But the problem is that Alexia doesn’t know if it is simply out of survival or out of the feelings she has somehow developed for the blonde.

So when Bela ordered to come to her room to read instead of the library, permanently changing the location of their reading sessions, her mind and heart were at odds once again as she knocked on Bela’s bedroom door and waited for permission to come in. Her heart was hammering, and she felt nervous. Just why couldn’t she have a clear idea on the type of relationship that she had with the eldest Dimitrescu daughter.

It was during one of their reading sessions in Bela’s room did the blonde’s desire for the maid become known, all due to another debate about the characters in the book. Only this time, it was about the dynamic of the characters relationship.

“He is a servant! He has no right to pursue her!” Bela growled, her eyes flashing dangerously as they often did when Bela got fired up about something. And past Alexia would have stopped immediately to prevent further upsetting the blonde. But since she has slowly transgressed into a sort of friendship with the blonde for the past few months, she didn’t back down.

“If you read it the same way I did, she pursued him! He simply gave back the same feelings that she had!”

“Ridiculous. She could have had so much more than him. He was…he was a low-level servant. Trash. He could offer her nothing.” Alexia shook her head in disagreement.

“No, he could offer her his whole heart and eternal loyalty. He was perfect for her. He completed her.”

Alexia may be a bit biased, but the romance genre was one of her favourite genres, so she could say that she was biased for the forbidden love trope which occurred in their recently read book. But Bela…she looked so conflicted. Even when just staring at Alexia, she saw the blonde’s jaw muscle clenched in frustration, a few odd bugs buzzing off her as she almost seemed like… she was controlling herself.

Did she cross the line?

The two of them were sitting on Bela’s bed, the place which Bela deemed the most comfortable in the room. While in the beginning of their sessions in the blonde’s room, they simply sat in the armchairs that occupied the room. But more recently, Bela wanted them to read on her bed and as always, Alexia obeyed.

But now she felt like she was gazelle locked in a lion’s den and the lion had very storm, golden eyes and a tight face which was sending warning bells off in the maid’s head. She made a motion to move off the bed, only to suddenly have her wrist snatched by a powerful grip. Alexia winced when she felt strong fingers tighten around her delicate wrist, squeezing like a python would to its prey and brown eyes glanced up to lock with fierce golden ones.

“Bela?”

And that was her trigger. Saying her name. Without any titles. Alexia had only said it a few times, her heart convincing her to say rather than her mind, and this time…it rewarded her with something which the maid is forever grateful for as her mind and heart finally were at peace.

Bela kissed her.

She pulled the maid towards her and met her halfway, pressing her lips to Alexia’s in a passionate kiss. Alexia gasped at the sudden action, but it was swallowed by Bela’s mouth as her other hand went to cup the back of Alexia’s neck, holding her place and she poured her emotions into the kiss.

One kiss showed Alexia exactly how much of a fondness that Bela had for her. One kiss told her just how much Bela actually desired her, the recent months which led to this eruption was a build up for Bela’s desire for the maid. The sudden protectiveness of her when her sisters were around, her demand of the maid’s quality time, and the near conflicting signs which confused the maid to no end…it was all exposed in this kiss.

Their first kiss.

A second and a third followed after, the fourth and the fifth occurring when Bela tugged Alexia closer, moving both of her hands to Alexia’s waist as she pulled the raven-haired girl in her lap, taking control of the kiss with surprising precision. Alexia just allowed her heart to take control, allowing it to convince to wrap her arms around Bela’s shoulders, pressing herself into the kiss and closing her eyes.

The desire which Bela had for Alexia was revealed through that kiss, it the extent of it was further revealed as Bela pressed Alexia into her mattress, lips not separating as laid on top of her, hands threading themselves into raven locks as the kiss continued to become more and more passionate.

While Alexia was at odds with herself about her feelings and thoughts towards Bela, that one day made it very clear of the type of relationship that the two of them had.

One of mutual desire towards one another. Intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

Cassandra Dimitrescu

Morgan had learnt a long time ago that Cassandra was one of action rather than words. So to discuss the desire that the brunette had for the blonde maid, it was pretty obvious due to Casandra’s forward advances on Morgan that were no way subtle.

The desire that Casandra had for Morgan was unlimited. She desired the maid every minute, every second, of every day and was practically the reason of why Morgan always woke up in the brunette’s bed rather than her own due to the previous night of Casandra claiming her over and over.

This morning was no different.

The blonde maid was enjoying the blissfulness of sleep, especially since she was kept up so late last night by the persistent touches, kisses, and bites from her favourite Dimitrescu. Her body pleaded for rest and like usual, Morgan eventually passed out in pleasure and exhaustion. Being teased constantly and edged so many times can really take a lot out of a woman and Morgan believes she is justified to have more sleep to recuperate.

Only her lover had other ideas.

Despite the hours that were spent together last night, the brunette was simply not sated yet and Morgan found herself being seduced away from the peaceful sleeping realm due to the wandering, caressing hands on her body. Cool fingertips glided and pressed against her skin before they were joined by cool lips that pressed kisses against her neck and shoulder.

Morgan let a sound of discontent. She just wanted to rest for a few more hours. If possible, the whole day. But she knew better than to believe that her lover will allow that as Cassandra was insatiable when it came to Morgan’s time. As well as her body. Morgan was further pulled away from the sleeping realm from the husky chuckle which came from behind her.

“You’ve been asleep for ages already…wake up already.”

So demanding as ever. But Morgan has never been one to obey orders easily.

The blonde stubbornly refused to open her eyes, trying to force herself back to sleep and to ignore the sensations that she was feeling from Cassandra’s mouth and hands. But that just sparked Casandra’s competitive streak and Morgan felt the smirk on her shoulder before the blonde’s hands moved began to move with precision.

Her hands wandered off in two different directions and the second they reached their destinations, Morgan could do nothing to stop the gasp leaving her lips, her eyes snapping opening and becoming fully awake due to the brunette’s ministrations with her naughty hands. Cassandra chuckled as her hands massaged the two areas she was holding, her one hand squeezing Morgan’s breast roughly while her other hand was palming against Morgan’s core. She pressed an open-mouthed kiss on the maid’s neck with a slight nibble on the end before moving to the blonde’s ear.

“You say one thing, but your body tells me exactly how you are feeling. Don’t even bother trying to deny it.”

And Morgan couldn’t. Just from Cassandra’s touch alone, she was getting excited, and Cassandra could tell how excited she was from the wetness which was covering her hand. She could feel Cassandra’s smirk on her lips as she enveloped the blonde’s earlobe in her mouth, nipping down on it and then tugging before soothing it over with her tongue.

Morgan let out another gasp when the hand on her breast suddenly twisted her nipple, Cassandra’s thumb and index finger twisting it while her other hand was now lazily circling her bud, making Morgan automatically buck into her hand to try get relief.

Pleasure and Pain. That is what sex was like with Cassandra. She was a sadist at heart after all and Morgan didn’t expect that part of her to suddenly disappear when they became romantically involved with one another. But Morgan is privileged enough to see the softer side of Cassandra whom no one else believes to exist all due to her terrifying reputation in the castle. But Morgan was an exception from the other maids.

Cassandra moved and started to press open-mouthed kisses all over Morgan’s neck and shoulder, each one ending with a small bite from the brunette while her hands kept themselves busy teasing and playing with Morgan. The blonde let out a whine as Cassandra twisted her nipple particularly hard and her other fingers pressed against her core, wetting them any further. Cassandra bit down on the point where Morgan’s neck and shoulder met, not breaking the skin but holding her teeth there as she tugged Morgan tightly against her.

“Cassandra.” Morgan whined; eyes squeezed shut as the pleasure of being touched by Cassandra was getting to her. She felt the brunette smile as she released her skin and soothed it with her tongue.

“You’re awake now.” She teased, her thumb flicking over the maid’s bud which made the blonde jerky at the sudden sensation, making Cassandra chuckle and she nibbled along her lover’s neck.

Morgan moved her hands to cover each of Cassandras, her one grabbing Cassandra’s wrist which were pleasuring her bottom half while her other covered the one which was playing with her breast. She let out a moan before glancing back and just managing to lock eyes with those golden orbs which were swirling darkly in desire.

“Please Cassandra…” The brunette knew what the blonde wanted, but both of them knew just how this game worked and the wicked grin which Cassandra flashed the maid told her that she was not going to get what she wanted easily. She never did, after all. Cassandra loved to make her work for it.

Like a panther, Cassandra moved with grace and precision, and she was quickly on top of the blonde with one hand pinning Morgan’s wrists above her head while her other hand was gliding down her collarbone with teasing ease.

“And you gave the impression that you were tired.” She teased, eyes glinting as her hand cupped one of Morgan’s breasts and squeezed it roughly, taking great delight in the flinching of Morgan of the action but then the incessant moaning that followed afterwards.

Morgan can take a little pain after all. In fact, she enjoys it half the time because the pleasure that follows is more than enough to make up for it.

“I am. You took a lot out of me last night.” Morgan quipped back, arching her back to lean more into Cassandra’s harsh touches as she alternated between the blonde’s breast, giving each of them equal rough treatment. Cassandra smirked.

“You enjoyed it.”

That was undeniable. Morgan loved it. And she knew that Cassandra loved it too. The two of them rolling about the brunette’s bed with lips meeting in harsh kisses and equally harsh touches was just the surface of the desire that the two of them had for each other. For the desire that Casandra had for Morgan.

Like the maid has said before, Cassandra is one of action rather than words. She isn’t like her sisters who verbally express their desire for their respective humans. She isn’t like Daniela who publicly professes her love for her favourite maid, nor is she like Bela who seemingly adopts all the traditional professions of love. She is physical in showing her desire for Morgan and she is , and her desire for Morgan is made very obvious to everyone in the castle through her forward actions.

Cassandra has no qualms of interrupting Morgan during her work shifts. And by interrupting, she means by pressing Morgan against the closest surface and smashing her lips against hers in a passionate kiss. And of course, just kidnapping her and taking her to her room where she makes her desire known in the most physical way possible.

There is no off switch with Cassandra. But then again, there was no off switch for Morgan either as she desired the brunette just as much as the brunette desired her.

“Of course I did. It’s with you.”

Despite Casandra being a frightening being to everyone in the castle, Morgan was about the only one capable of making her blush and she felt a sense of victory when she saw pink dust Casandra’s cheeks as she looked down at the maid.

“Shut up.” Cassandra grumbled, but Morgan just smiled as she knew that it was a half-hearted order. But it just pushed her to tease the brunette.

“Okay. But that means that you won’t hear any of the sounds you like hearing from me.”

Cassandra snapped her eyes back at Morgan’s and the maid knew she triggered the brunette. The familiar possessive flint was in those golden orbs and Cassandra’s lips lifted in a slight snarl as she squeezed Morgan’s breast roughly, passing the borderline of pain and she moved down to bite down on her other breast. Morgan gasp sharply as she felt Cassandra pierce the skin.

“Those sounds belong to me. You will not hide them.”

“B-But you just told me to-“

Cassandra didn’t let her finish as she moved up to smash her lips against Morgan’s, tongue immediately entering the blonde’s mouth and dominating the kiss whole her hand moved southward and cupped Morgan, causing the blonde to groan into the kiss. Cassandra’s thumb began to circle around Morgan’s bud, lips not leaving Morgan’s at all as she kissed the blonde until she was about to pass out from the lack of oxygen and pulled away to allow Morgan to gasp for breath.

“C-Cassandra…” She moaned, panting heavily, her hips bucking as she tried to get pleasure from the brunette’s hand, but the vampire simply began to pinch it slightly, her eyes not leaving Morgan’s.

“I am going to play with you. I am going to play with you and until you are a whimpering mess under me. You will give me those sounds that belong to me, and you will be a good pet that will take what it is given. Do you understand?”

Cassandra was not asking. She was ordering. But Morgan did not mind as she nodded viciously and Cassandra rewarded her with another harsh kiss, tongue invading the blonde’s mouth once again before her thumb went back to work again, her other fingers teasing Morgan’s entrance while her other hand still kept Morgan’s wrists pinned above her head.

Cassandra is a cruel woman, even when it comes to her lovemaking with Morgan. But her desire for the blonde is evidently clear and Morgan is more than happy to take a little pain as it is overwhelmed with more pleasure than anything else. Casandra is a lover who has ruined her for anybody else and she was totally fine with that.

It was obvious to say that they were late that morning to breakfast. Again. When the two of them hurried inside the dining room, Lady Dimitrescu and her other two daughters were already seated at the table, waiting for the brunette to join them.

“Cassandra, what have I told you about the importance of time.” Alcina sighed, sending a warning glare at her middle daughter who just smiled and made her way to her seat.

“I’m sorry mother. It won’t happen again.”

Only it will and all of them knew it, especially since she glanced in Morgan’s direction and sent the maid a wink to successfully make her blush while she stood at attention with the others.

Yup, Casandra’s desire for Morgan was insatiable and obvious.

Daniela Dimitrescu

Daniela was a whimsical, romantic soul who did not have much outlet due to her particular circumstances. That was proven to be dangerous to all of the residents in the castle as Daniela’s romantic delusions often needed a partner in crime with the redhead, and the only ones who could fill that role was a maid. And most often Daniela’s games would result in the maid’s death.

However some try to look at that from a positive perspective. Daniela’s fantasy is acted out and somewhat sates the redhead from her romantic delusions for just a little while. She was just an eccentric individual with lots of romantic thoughts…she was just playing out her fantasies. There was nothing wrong with that.

What was the use of servants if they didn’t help her?

And then there is the one thing which is both the saviour and bane of the maids’ existences.

Romance books.

Daniela’s love for romance stories was a well-known fact around the castle, so much so that the romance section in the Dimitrescu library was unofficially dubbed as ‘Daniela’s Wing’ due to the constant presence Daniela had in that section and how all the books cater to Daniela’s romantic tastes.

Romance books were saviours to the maids as they occupied the redheads time as she would read through all of them. The servants literally celebrated whenever the Duke would arrive to the castle to sell his various goods to the Dimitrescus as that meant that there was a new shipment of romance books for Daniela which would keep the redhead occupied for a while. However the romance books become a double-edged sword for the servants as once Daniela finishes reading them, then she wants to act out the books and becomes lost in her delusions again. Which means that the maids are expected to play along again.

If one truly thought about it, they would realise that there is a lot more to Daniela regarding her obvious obsession with romance. It was an escape with her. She was someone who was cooped up in a castle with only her vampire family and human servants who served as the help, as well as the meals. Romance books were a symbol of hope for her, a symbol of excitement and something knew to come. She wasn’t exactly a normal human girl, she was a vampire who relied on blood to survive. Romance books were her only sustenance to tell her more about herself and the real world, even though it was based mainly through fictional stories.

Well, that is what Raya thought of it.

The fellow redhead was the newest saving grace for the servants in terms of being the new playmate for Lady Daniela. For some odd reason, she was carried into the castle like a princess by the vampire redhead and the youngest Dimitrescu all but screamed for her mother before carrying the redheaded girl away in her arms to wherever Lady Dimitrescu was. No one knew who she was or how she managed to survive an encounter with a Dimitrescu sister outside of the castle, but they did know that it was a blessing in disguise as suddenly, Lady Daniela wasn’t interested in any of the other servants.

She only had eyes for the newest redhead. Her new pet.

Raya was by no means extraordinary. She had a rather skinny build due to her treatment in her village with long red hair and green eyes. She could be described as pretty, though again, one could see certain damage inflicted on her body and the reminders that were left behind. From just looks alone, there was not a high expectation for her to survive in the castle. And the fact that she was the new pet of Lady Daniela lowered those expectations even more as it was only a matter of time for her to be killed in one of Lady Daniela’s games.

..

.

And yet she hasn’t yet.

It shocked everyone beyond belief to see Raya walk into the dining room for the servants without even a scratch on her. And to make things more shocking, she even had a small smile on her face as she helped herself to some dinner and ate, seemingly lost in her own little world as well.

It was shocking…and terrifying at the same time.

The interest which Daniela had in Raya was shocking to everyone. Except Raya. Raya smiled at the attention which she received from the redhead. She was just so beautiful and cute at the same time. The way she would start talking about one of her favourite books or when she found something which made her think of Raya, the human redhead just found it positively endearing.

Sure, she understands why everyone was so scared of Daniela. She was a vampire who needed blood to survive. And she has a very scary looking sickle who can cut people down in an instant. Also she and her an entire family are a force to be dealt with, especially if you were a man who had invaded their home all armed and guarded.

But wouldn’t anyone defend their home if it was being invaded? Raya believes they are fully justified for doing what they have to do to survive. She doesn’t get just why everyone has such a negative opinion of Daniela. She was literally the sweetest out of her sisters.

Daniela is just playful. She wears her heart on her sleeve and people just don’t see that. The only ones who are aware of it are her family, but that is different as the redhead needs someone more than her family to show her things she is yearning for. And luckily for Daniela, Raya is more than happy to be that person.

Daniela was a kindred spirit to Raya, and to actually think about it, is her dashing knight who saved her from a terrible fate. She owed her new life to Daniela. And it wasn’t hard to desire the redhead with how considerate she is with her games and new life that she shares with her.

Raya didn’t understand why everyone was so scared of Daniela’s games. They were a lot of fun! Raya enjoyed playing with them. She just acted exactly the same way that Daniela expected, and the redhead was happy! So why not just do that? Those who were killed clearly just weren’t doing it like Daniela wanted them to. So while she does feel bad for those who have passed on, she kind of thanks them for that. Because thanks to their deaths, she managed to find a spot in Daniela’s heart, and she was grateful for that.

And Raya learned that Daniela was grateful for it too because Raya was more than just a pet to her. She was her other half. Her destined one. Her other half. Her soulmate.

The desire which Daniela had for Raya was often exposed in the many games that the two of them would play with each other. While Daniela acted out her fantasies due to her need of an outlet from her imaginative mind, she discovered the other reason of why she enjoyed doing them so much more lately. And it was due to Raya.

The girl who said she was pretty the first time they met.

It was just like in one of her romance stories. Love at first sight. And the desire which Daniela had for the redhead was instantaneous. But she had to wait it out. Just like in her books. But eventually it was proven to be too great when she started acting out her fantasies with Raya because during one of the plays, she just couldn’t help herself anymore.

Raya was in the middle of saying her line, reading it from the spare novel which Daniela had for her during one of their roleplays of the book, when suddenly her face was cupped by two cold hands, and she was tugged forward and interrupted with two soft lips pressing against hers. Daniela pulled Raya close to her, just pressing her lips against Raya’s and trying to push all her feelings of desire for her forward. For so long she has resisted, trying to be a patient lover just like the ones in her romance novels, but it was so hard.

But Raya felt the same. She had to. She fell for her the first time they saw each other after all. She desires her too.

Daniela became so lost in her thoughts that she forgot that unlike her, Raya needed air to breathe. It eventually too Raya pushing Daniela away by the shoulders for her to take a lungful of air, her cheeks red from being denied oxygen for so long and her breaths ragged and heavy as she panted.

Daniela just stared at her, her lips tingling from the kiss and her hands still on her cheeks as she stood as still as a statue as she watched the human redhead get her fill of oxygen. Raya looked at her wild-eyed for a few moments before glancing at the page of which she was reading from, scanning it quickly.

“There’s no kiss scene here.” She noted, turning back to look at Daniele. The youngest Dimitrescu pouted and slightly tightened her grip on Raya’s face.

“I wanted to kiss you.” She said so simply, as if it was enough of an explanation for the maid to have to have Daniela’s intentions cleared up.

Raya blinked at her and then glanced back at the novel and then back at those golden orbs that were looking at her so intently. And then she smiled. She closed the novel and tossed it on the floor before moving her own hands so that they were resting on Daniela’s hips, no longer following one of the scripts which they usually do when acting out the novel. A spark of fire went through Daniela’s as the unrehearsed action by the redhead made her breath hitch.

“Kiss me again?” Raya asked innocent, her eyes glinting in delight.

Daniela smiled, her eyes lighting up happily as her explanation proved to be enough before she pulled Raya into another kiss, closing her eyes, and moaning into it, which was quickly followed by Raya, who wrapped her arms around Daniela’s waist to keep her close.

The two of them stayed locked for a long while and they only separated when Raya had to tap Daniela’s back to remind her that she needed to breathe. But the human redhead only got a few seconds to get air back into her lungs before Daniela pulled her into another kiss, each one more passionate than the previous.

Chapter 6: Endearing

Summary:

E for Endearing, because the Dimitrescu's are incredibly endearing to their partners despite their reputations.

Chapter Text

Alcina Dimitrescu

Due to being one of the four lords that had control over the land, Alcina instilled both fear and respect in the villagers and the working staff because one wrong move could literally lead to your death or drawn-out torture in the dungeons. Alcina was not one to be trifled with, especially since her temper was one of the most volatile out of all four of the lords, although she does have some remarkable control over herself, as expected of a lady of her caliber.

As an employer, Alcina expects absolute perfection. As she is a noblewoman by birth, she is used to being surrounded by the finer things in life, as well as the best service that could be provided by servants. Even when one is newly employed, her standards are not dropped for even a second. It is up to the serving staff to train the new maids accordingly, otherwise they will have the blood of the new maid on their hands since they did not prepare them enough to survive in the castle filled with vampire residents. While it is usually the three daughters that tend to appetite themselves on the fresh produce brought to the castle, Alcina has played a role in half a dozen maids during their first week. Usually, it was because the maids happened to walk in a room when Alcina was in a rage, and there is no possible way for one to survive that.

Before she became the new handmaiden for Alcina, she simply tried her best to stay out of her way, especially if she heard the sounds of furniture crashing and breaking against the walls of the castle. That was one common aspect of Alcina’s tempers, there were always broken pieces of furniture to clean up and replace. But when Isabella eventually was appointed as her new handmaiden after the death of Ana, she was forced to learn of the telling signs that indicated Alcina’s moods because she did not want to become one of the objects to be thrown against the wall in a fit of rage.

When Isabella and Alcina started to form a relationship with one another, Isabella was expected to learn more of her place with Alcina in both public and private settings. In the eyes of the villagers and enemies of the four lords, Isabella was simply a handmaiden to Alcina. There was an obvious power imbalance between Isabella and Alcina due to their differences in rank and strength, as Alcina was a ruling lord while Isabella was a mere human who served under her for survival. Isabella had a role to play when she was in a public setting with Alcina or one of the daughters. She was nothing to the vampire residents, a replaceable possession that they did not care for, and it was something that she had accept.

But when they were in private, then it was a different story.

When it was just the two of them in a room in the castle, Alcina becomes the most patient and attentive lover one could only ever imagine. She cradles Isabella gently to her body and holds her in her lap while the two of them converse in the most random conversations. Alcina would thread her fingers in her air, gently tugging at the strands before using her grip on Isabella’s head to turn it towards her and then pull her close so that she can press a kiss to her waiting lips. Despite her inhumane size, the beauty of Alcina was obvious to even the blind eye and Isabella has found herself to be become more enamored with Alcina with passing time. At times, it has even become difficult for her to control herself when she was in a public setting with Alcina.

Alcina tended to avoid the village as much as possible because it was not a place for a woman of her stature to be seen in. It is usually her daughters that travel to the village in order to assert the fear and control of the Dimitrescu family; however, that did not mean that she did not have any interactions with the villagers, or rather, the leaders of the village. Like all of the other lords, Alcina was at the top of the social hierarchy in her land, closely followed by her daughters according to their ages and level of authority, essentially the order being Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. But since the villages were varied and spread apart, Alcina opted for there to be village leaders that would rule over them under the command of the Dimitrescu family, essentially under Alcina.

Alcina and her daughters are infamous in the land for their…well, attitudes and treatments towards human and even though there were certain exceptions at times, with Isabella being living proof, the Dimitrescu family generally had little regard for the lives of humans, hence the intense fear that the land had of them. Those that ever trespassed into the castle never see the light of day again, and even those who sought for employment for the family tended to never be seen ever again by their loved ones again. It was a risk one had to take if they desired to work for the Dimitrescu family, after all, they weren’t humans like Isabella and the other villages.

The only humans that were able to trespass into the Dimitrescu castle and leave with their lives were the village leaders that would be summoned to have a meeting with Alcina in her castle to discuss matters in relation to the villages. The outcome of the meetings was often varied because either the village leaders will submit to the demands of her ladyship, or they would dare to object to her commands, which in turn would cause for Alcina’s temper to flare.

Isabella is always a witness to the meetings because as Alcina’s personal handmaiden, she is expected to tend to her every need and serve as an example to the village leaders of the type of rule that Alcina had. When the village leaders would arrive to the castle, she was the one to greet them at the door. She would wear a solemn expression on her face and give them a monotone greeting before ordering them to follow her into the dining room where Alcina would be sitting at the head of the table, her size already daunting enough to assert her dominance over the measly human leaders walking behind Isabella. Isabella always bowed to Alcina when she opened the door of the dining room.

“The village leaders have arrived, milady.”

“Lead them to their seats.”

Alcina’s tone was always cold and commanding, show no semblance of affection for Isabella despite its known fact in the Dimitrescu family and the working staff. But Alcina had a role to play and so did Isabella, it being a matter of discussion during the formation of their romantic relationship. By now, the solemn handmaiden role was something that Isabella was perfectly mastered, and she played her role accordingly as she led the village leaders to their seats on the other end of the table so that there was an obvious distance between them and Alcina. Isabella stood by the wall behind Alcina and remained silent the entire duration of the meeting, not sparing a single flash of emotion to the village leaders that would look at her for some sort of indication of aid from her mistress.

It was quite a treat to watch Alcina in her public dominating persona as a ruthless lord that could easily slash the heads off of any living thing, which she was capable of doing. Isabella noted how the village leaders trembled in fear each time they were forced under the scrutiny of Lady Dimitrescu, Alcina ensuring to assert her dominating demeanor on all of the village leaders in order to maintain her control over them. Even when Alcina slammed her fist on the table when one of the leaders dared to suggest an idea for his village which undermined the ideals of Alcina, causing some of the paperwork to fall off of Alcina’s side of the table, Isabella didn’t even flinch. She instead calmly walked over to Alcina’s side and picked up the fallen items before placing them neatly beside Alcina before returning to her previous spot.

The meetings could go on for hours and even when Isabella felt pain in her legs for standing for so long, she did not make a sound because it was not her place to. She was but a decoration on the wall that had to remain still and silent until she was ordered to move. When she was finally given the order, she couldn’t help but internally sigh in relief when she moved her legs to follow Alcina’s orders.

“My handmaiden will see you all out. You are all dismissed.”

Alcina would then stand up briskly from her seat and then walk put of the room with the grace as expected from a noblewoman, leaving Isabella to lead the village leaders back to the front entrance. She would lead them out and close the doors behind them before she would immediately make her way to Alcina’s bedroom, it always being the first place that she would go after long, tedious meetings with the village leaders. She knocked twice before entering the room, her eyes immediately going to her lover as she sat at her dressing table.

“Alcina?” She gently spoke, walking towards her with slow steps, trying to determine the mood of her mistress after such a tedious meeting with the village leaders.

She didn’t receive a verbal answer from Alcina, she instead was met with hands that pulled her into the large body of her lover, being placed on her lap before being cradled into her body with tender but firm hands. One hand was wrapped around her waist while the other went to her hair, gently stroking the back of Isabella’s head while Alcina pressed her nose into the crook of her neck. Without hesitating, Isabella wrapped her arms around Alcina’s neck and gave her a comforting hug.

“Is everything alright?”

“No pet, it is not.” Alcina said, grazing her nose along Isabella’s neck before pressing a tender kiss to her jaw.

“Is there anything that I can do to help?”

“There is plenty that you could do to help me darling, but for now, I would much rather have you in my arms for a while longer.” Isabella couldn’t help but smile at Alcina’s words. She gave her tighter squeeze around the neck.

“By all means milady, take all the time you need.” Alcina chuckled in her neck and pulled away just enough that the two of them were facing one another, a wicked gleam in her eyes that was filled with playful mischief, quite the opposite emotion one would expect from a noblewoman of Alcina’s caliber.

“As always my dear, you are going to regret saying those words when I have you pinned to this table, quivering under my fingertips while I have my way with you.” Isabella all but grinned at her.

“I have never once said I don’t enjoy being tortured by you mistress.” Alcina husked a laugh before leaning in until they were breaths apart.

“Cheeky.”

And then she pressed their lips together, easily taking control of the kiss as she tightened her grip on Isabella’s body while keeping her head in place with her fingers through her hair. Isabella all but succumbed to the affection that her mistress was willing to give her, it being the most wonder reward after standing at attention for a few hours while she conversed with the village leaders. Even when Alcina pulled away to give Isabella a chance to breathe, she did not stop in her affection as she instead began to trail kisses along Isabella’s neck, humming along against her skin which made Isabella moan in gratification.

“You behaved so nicely during the meeting. I should give you a reward.” She murmured against her neck, making Isabella shiver in her lap.

“I-I am willing to take anything you wish to give me mistress.”

Alcina’s leaved journeyed back along her neck until she was at the maid’s earlobe, gently taking it into her mouth and nibbling on it before pulling away to look at the beautiful, flushed sight of her paramour. She flashed her a wicked smile before closing the distance between them again, her hand sliding from Isabella’s hip to her thigh so that she could pick her up.

“That is precisely what I like to hear, pet.”

No matter how stoic and terrifying Alcina would act in front of others, she is also an endearing lover when she was in the private company of Isabella. She always tended to Isabella afterwards, and she could never complain about the endearing affection her mistress loved to provide her.

Bela Dimitrescu

Out of all three of the Dimitrescu sisters, it can be agreed that Bela is most likely the least dangerous sister out of all of them. While Cassandra was the most sadistic and Daniela was the most delusional, Bela was the one who was the most levelheaded out of the three, which is most likely due to her being the eldest. But one must not be fooled by her more subdued demeanor because she was just as deadly as her sisters, she simply needed a reason to unleash her dark side onto the poor unsuspecting soul who decided to push the buttons of the eldest Dimitrescu daughter.

Since Bela was the eldest, she has the responsibilities in relation to the castle and her sisters passed down to her during the absence of her mother, something which she took very seriously. She was often the butt of the jokes that her sisters loved to pull, but she hardly gave them much notice as she had better things to do other than entertain her sisters, such as ensuring that the staff was doing their duties properly.

Very much like her mother, Bela expected perfection and as the eldest, she saw it as her duty to ensure that the staff did not slack off during the absence of her mother. Whenever she determined that a maid was not doing their effort worth, she immediately sank a sickle into their thigh and dragged them off the dungeon to either personally deal with their punishment or call for one of her sisters to keep them busy and prevent them from any further havoc in the castle that she would have to explain to their mother once she returned.

Bela was rather a hard one to read, especially since she carried herself with pride and mystery, while she was not as obvious with her ruthless intentions like her sisters, she was just as much as a predator as them; albeit she enjoyed playing in the shadows rather than broad daylight. The saying that goes on about it being the silent ones you should watch out for positively matched the danger level of Bela, because you would never see her coming until it was too late.

Bela Dimitrescu was a force to be reckoned with; however, practically nobody knew what kind of person she was behind closed doors.

Even with her sisters, Bela maintains a composed and strict persona in order to appear and remain in control. No one in her family was truly aware of the intense pressure that she felt as the eldest, as her mother continued to place many expectations on her since she was the most reliant to keep the castle and its staff operating accordingly while her sisters continued to push and hit every nerve that the blonde has to try get her to snap. But not matter her sisters’ antics, she does not allow herself to crumble. She had many responsibilities to uphold after all.

Alexia would hardly say she was an expert on people, especially since she was the constant target for the other maids for a sense of relief from the pained workings of the castle as she was constantly the butt of the joke of their many cruel pranks. Perhaps that was one of the things that she and Bela had in common, as they never seemed to escape the antics of others that used them as a form of stress relief or entertainment. But again, she was not an expert on people, much less on vampires that lurked in the castle, but she would say with time that she became an expert on Bela Dimitrescu.

While there were plenty of rules for the maids to follow to ensure their survival in the castle, Lady Dimitrescu hardly had any rules for her daughters to follow. The Dimitrescu daughters had free reign over the castle and every maid was familiar with the sound of buzzing insects travelling through the corridors of the castle, along with the manic cackles of the daughters themselves when they opted to terrify the maids on duty. After all, when the sun was away, the vampires liked to come out to play.

Since Alexia is permanently assigned to night cleaning duty, she carries out her duties on her own because she was never assigned a working partner for her duties as the maid staff wanted to make her life more difficult. It was a sad and lonely fact about her occupation in the castle, but somehow, she had managed to find a silver lining in it, which was in the form of blonde Dimitrescu.

Alexia was busy tending to the library when she heard the doors open and the sound of buzzing entering the room. While she would usually tense at the sound in any other room in the castle, she was relaxed when she heard the buzzing sound draw nearer to her because she already had an idea of who it was. Alexia continued dusting one of the shelves of a bookcase when she caught sight of a swarm of buzzing insects from the corner of her eye, the buzzing sound more distinct as it got closer to her until it was directly behind her and then suddenly stopped altogether. Arms wrapped themselves around Alexia’s waist and a chin rest on her shoulder as a tender kiss was pressed to her neck.

“Good evening.” Bela husked against her neck, making the raven-haired maid smile in response as she stopped her ministrations to provide her full attention to the blonde.

“Hello Lady Bela.”

Bela tsked in her ear before turning Alexia around so that she was facing her, the blonde pressing the maid against the bookshelf with her body pressed against her. One hand pressed itself against the bookshelf by Alexia’s head and the other traveled along her side until it was cupping her neck.

“It is only Bela when it is just the two of us.”

“Apologies, it is simply a force of habit.”

“I thought by now you would be out of that habit.”

Alexia couldn’t help but smile at Bela, which in turn caused her to smile back before she leaned in to press a tender kiss to her lips, her fingers curling around Alexia’s neck to hold her in place as she took her time to kiss the maid until she was slightly breathless. She pulled away slowly, her golden eyes gleaming in the moonlight as she took in the sight of a red cheeked Alexia as she attempted to steady her knees so that she would not melt under the attention of the eldest Dimitrescu daughter.

“I thought I told you that it is not necessary to clean the library during the evening any longer. You have much better things to do.” Bela husked, leaning in to press her forehead against Alexia’s, making the raven tremble slightly from the close proximity.

“I have to be useful in some kind of way in the castle.” Alexia admitted, sucking in a breath when Bela suddenly moved and began to pepper kisses along her cheek and jaw until her nose was pressed against just below Alexia’s ear.

“You are plenty of use when you are with me.”

Alexia couldn’t help but giggle as she moved her arms to wrap them around Bela’s hips, comfortably pulling her closer to her.

“I am glad that you see me as someone useful.”

“There is nothing else you could be.”

Bela leaned in and pressed another kiss to Alexia’s lips, pressing her further into the bookshelf and humming thoughtfully as Alexia hugged her tighter, accepting the affection that the blonde was willing to give her. In comparison to how she behaved in front of others, Bela was a completely different person when she was with Alexia in the privacy of the library or her bedroom. Alexia was obviously very cautious of the blonde vampire even before their relationship because she feared for her life. She did not want to get on the bad side of Bela Dimitrescu because like her sisters, she could literally slit her throat and drain her dry, leaving her as nothing more than a bloodless corpse that could be fed to the Lycans.

But as the nature of their relationship deepened, Alexia began to realize that there was more to Bela than just her status as the eldest daughter and one of the vampire residents of the castle. Bela contained a gentle soul that she did not easily reveal to others. She was a responsible woman, courtesy to her title of being the eldest out of the three daughters, and she would do anything to make her mother proud. Bela was someone who just wanted to please everyone, and Alexia eventually discovered that Alexia started to become one of those people that the blonde desires to please.

When the two of them were alone, a more humane part of Bela revealed itself. She tended to Alexia in any way that she could without arousing suspicion of her actions towards Alexia. None of the other maids have picked up the nature of the relationship between Alexia and Bela, and the maid was unsure if it should remain that way or not. Mother Miranda, she did not want to give the other maids more ammunition to use against her to make her life more miserable than it already was.

But moments like this with Bela almost made it worthwhile.

Bela pulled away from the kiss and looked at her with the most tender of expressions, her hand around the maid’s neck moving to trace her fingertips along Alexia’s cheek, eventually tucking a stray black strand of hair behind her ear. Alexia was so unused to being treated so gently by someone, much less by somebody who was her superior in so many ways. For as long as she has been at the castle, kindness was a stranger to the raven-haired maid. While one should not have high standards when they are residing in a castle with occupants that fed off humans, Alexia would think that the working staff would unite with one another in order to survive the circumstances, and yet she was proven wrong when she found herself isolated from the others. She has never learned of the reason behind her isolation; she just knew that she was never going to be accepted into any social circles of the working staff.

“Come back to me.” Bela’s voice suddenly snapped out the maid out of her own mind, golden eyes gazing intensely into the dark orbs of the maid.

“Pardon?”

“You went off somewhere in your head. You weren’t here with me. Don’t go anywhere else. Stay with me. Only focus on me.”

While it sounded like Bela was giving her a command, Alexia has started to be able to distinguish Bela’s tone to be more of a plea than an order, something which still startled the maid due to the newness of their…relationship. Alexia couldn’t help but flash her a small smile before lifting her hands to cup the blonde’s face, cradling it as she traced those high cheek bones with gentle tenderness.

“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else milady.” Bela tsked again before pressing herself closer into the maid, her hand moved back to cradle the back of Alexia’s neck and the other removing itself from the bookshelf to instead wrap around Alexia’s waist, the blonde’s nose brushing against Alexia’s nose with their lips inches apart.

Bela.” The blonde insisted, the air from the single word tickling Alexia’s lips which caused tingles to travel all over her body. Alexia swallowed as she moved both of her hands to cup the sides of Bela’s neck.

“Bela.” She whispered, which prompted the blonde to close the distance and initiate another tender kiss which was soon followed by many more.

While Alexia did not want to become too arrogant with her position in relation to the affections that she receives from Bela, she will highlight that she enjoys seeing the more humane side of the blonde. Despite the icy façade she maintains in front of others, she becomes a tender, soft-hearted woman when she was with Alexia and Alexia reveled in the endearing affection that the blonde was willing to give her. Alexia was a stranger to tender affection, but soon enough Bela will allow her to become more acquainted with it.

Cassandra Dimitrescu

Endearing was hardly a word that could be associated with Cassandra Dimitrescu, the infamous middle child between the Dimitrescu sisters. Sadistic? Yes. Terrifying? Absolutely. Murderous and downright inhumane? Positively correct.

And yet Morgan is the only one who could dare say that Cassandra could be very endearing if she wanted to be, especially since she has firsthand witnessed and experienced the affectionate gestures of the brunette when she deems someone worthy enough to view her affectionate side. While Cassandra refuses to verbally acknowledge her affection for Morgan, her actions are more than enough to tell the blonde maid that she is valued greatly by the brunette, especially since she is the only one that Cassandra doesn’t treat as a disposable toy.

While all four of the Dimitrescu women were terrifying in their own right, Cassandra was the one that terrified everyone the most. While Lady Dimitrescu was terrifying due to her daunting size and her ability to kill someone with a single swipe of her infamous long claws without hesitation, Cassandra outranked her mother simply because of her sadistic nature. Cassandra loved to play with her victims and tried to draw out their pain as long as she could because she simply reveled in their screams of pains and pleas for mercy. Cassandra took a sick glee in playing with her victims’ bodies, exploring the multiple ways that she could test the bodily limits of humans.

She was a downright sadist, and yet Morgan found out that she was okay with it…eventually, that is.

Morgan understands that it is a dog-eat-dog world out there and the castle is no different. In fact, she has only survived this long simply because she is the only one willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even if it meant that someone else had to take the fall for something she may have been responsible for.

Does she feel guilty? Of course she does, any decent person would. But if the choice came down to her or somebody else, Morgan will choose herself every time. She has not suffered through life this long to simply have it cut short by a literal sickle, Morgan had common sense and her intuition has never failed.

Although one may argue with her when it became known that she had captured the attention of the most lethal Dimitrescu daughter of them all, the opposite desire that the blonde had for her survival in the castle.

Being a person of interest by one of the daughters was hardly a good thing, especially if it was by Cassandra and Daniela because it would most definitely result in the death of the maid. With Morgan become the new interest for the brunette Dimitrescu, it was already decided by the other maids that the blonde’s days were numbered in the castle. But when it was eventually decided for Morgan to become the new personal handmaiden for Cassandra, then her death warrant was already signed. Every handmaiden that Cassandra has ever had always ended up getting killed one way or another, always by the brunette’s hand, so it was only a matter of time before Morgan was yet another kill added to the list.

..

.

And Morgan would agree with them if she didn’t know the true reason behind her position of becoming Cassandra’s handmaiden.

While becoming a handmaiden to one of the Dimitrescu women meant that one had less manual labor tasks like the rest of the working staff, it also meant that they were in a more dangerous position because the tolerance for mistakes was extremely low. Lady Bela was perhaps the safest Dimitrescu to be a handmaiden for, but the worst was either Cassandra and Daniela because the two younger sisters were renowned for growing bored with their handmaidens and eventually pulling them into one of their games that resulted in their handmaiden’s death.

Being pulled into one of Cassandra’s games was hardly any fun, especially since it was the brunette getting all of the entertainment while the maid was most likely maimed, drained, or killed from the ordeal. Morgan has gotten more than just a few scrapes from the games that she was forced to participate in, and it only got worse with the increased interest Cassandra had in the blonde. She adored tormenting Morgan at every hour of the day, well, when she was awake and not participating in some brutal torture game down in the dungeon or a hunt with her sisters. Apparently, Cassandra liked the sound of Morgan’s heartbeat when it sped up during one of their chasing games, as well as the taste of her blood after she got captured.

Like any sane person, Morgan hated the attention that she received from the brunette, especially since it resulted in her bodily harm. However, with the passed time since then, Morgan couldn’t help but smile at the underlying message behind the brunette’s attention of the maid as she walked in the direction of Cassandra’s room, the sun setting and covering the land in progressive darkness.

The other maids were bunkering down for the night, a long day’s worth of work completed, aside from the maids that are readying themselves for the night shift. Morgan has long grown used to being one of the ‘early’ risers of the maids since she had to wake up Cassandra and tend to her wardrobe needs in preparation for the family breakfast, so she hardly wore a weary or terrified expression on her face like the other maids as they prepped themselves for the upcoming night, praying that they will be able to survive it. Probably the only one aside from Morgan who was not cautious for the night shift was Alexia, a raven beauty who was always alone.

While their employers were vampires of some kind, it really was the staff who were the true monstrous beasts. Morgan has seen firsthand the damage that has been inflicted on Alexia by the other maids, the poor girl always being the victim to their supposed ‘pranks’, if one could even call them that. Morgan would say that the raven beauty was the most experienced in the different levels of cruelty since she has been a victim to the respective pranks of the maids and the Dimitrescu daughters; however, she finds some kind of comradery with the dark-haired maid since their situations were not much different. After all, Morgan was involved with one of the cruelest beings throughout all the villages and their surrounding lands.

Although she did not mind it one bit.

A smile had settled itself on Morgan’s face when she had eventually arrived at the door of Cassandra’s bedroom, the dark mahogany serving as a fragile barrier to the beast that slumbered behind. As a courtesy, Morgan knocked on the door but immediately reached for the handle to open it because she knew that she was not going to here a word of permission to enter the room, especially since it was her job to wake up its occupant.

Morgan silently closed the door behind her and immediately turned to look at the lonely occupant on the bed, brown hair being the only think that she could make out from the bed. The blonde maid chuckled to herself as she walked towards the bed, noting that the brunette Dimitrescu had pulled the blankets over her head to create some dark cocoon for her to slumber in. Her hair was splayed out on the pillow that she had opted to discard in her sleep, and as Morgan got closer, she noticed that one of Cassandra’s arms were sprawled out of the blanket, hand dangling over the edge of her bed while she slept under the sheets. Morgan smiled again as she arrived at the bedside, warmth filling her as she looked at the smooth arm that greeted her.

“…Cassandra.” She called, looking at the lump beneath the sheets as she reached out and gently trailed her fingertips along the arm, heading in the direction of her hand.

Cassandra didn’t respond, instead Morgan was met with another deep breath from the brunette, indicating that she was still in a deep sleep. Morgan just smiled. While Cassandra was very vigorous when she was awake, she was a very deep sleeper and Morgan has never been granted the miracle of waking her up on the first try. Hence the reason why she has to be creative when waking up the brunette, which always brought a smile to both of their faces in more ways than one. When Morgan’s fingertips eventually reached Cassandra’s hand, the blonde knelt by the bed and took the brunette’s hand in her own before pressing a kiss to the back of it, her lips warm against the cool skin.

“Cassandra, its time to get up.” She called again, a bit louder this time, but she still did not get a response from the brunette to indicate her wakefulness.

Morgan smiled and pressed another kiss to the brunette’s hand, once, twice, before she started to travel along the arm. Morgan pressed a delicate kiss to the brunette’s wrist and continued to travel up it, her sweet kisses slowly turning into open mouthed ones while she called out to the brunette each time after she planted a kiss to her skin. When Morgan reached the brunette’s inner elbow, she gave it a sharp nip, which finally gave her a reaction from the brunette as she heard a disgruntled grunt and then a small hiss, but Morgan was not phased from it as she smiled and then pressed another open kiss against Cassandra’s skin as she continued to journey along her arm. By the time Morgan reached the bedsheet which covered the rest of the brunette, Morgan opted to give another bite to Cassandra’s bicep, this time earning herself a low growl before she finally reached for sheet and then began to pull it down to reveal more of the Dimitrescu.

When Morgan pulled the sheet past Cassandra’s head, she was not immediately met with open eyes. She instead was met with the sight of the sleeping face of Cassandra, eyes still closed and her facial features still relaxed as she remained laying in the bed even though Morgan pulled off the blanket cocoon she had created for herself in her sleep. Morgan eventually stopped pulled the sheet off the vampire when it reached her waist, and she placed it down on the brunette’s body before leaning forward to rest her chin on the mattress, gazing at the sleeping face of her mistress.

..

.

“Who told you to stop?”

Even though her eyes were still closed, Morgan could tell that the brunette was awake from her tone of her voice, a bit raspy from sleep, which of course had an effect on the blonde maid. A coil of heat formed in Morgan’s belly as she heard Cassandra’s waking up voice, and even though the brunette could not see her, she knew that She had an effect on the blonde as a smirk tugged at the brunette’s lips as she continued to lay still on the bed.

“I assumed it was not needed anymore since you are awake now.” Morgan teased; her eyes fixed on the face of Cassandra as she continued to lay in bed with her eyes closed.

“Who says that I am awake. I’m still sleeping.”

“You are talking to me though.”

“Unless you continue to wake me up nicely, I am not waking up at all.”

Morgan had learnt at the start of her duties as Cassandra’s handmaiden was that the brunette absolutely detested being woken up. Every other maid who had unfortunately attained the position of being Cassandra’s handmaiden usually met their end during the awakening of the brunette, since that was the worst time of the day to be near Cassandra. But for Morgan, she quickly learned how to wake up the brunette from her slumber in order to not be met with a sickle through the face, but that may be due to her particular relationship with the brunette that the past maids never had with her. So with a fond smile, Morgan leaned up from her kneeling position from the floor to instead use the mattress for leaning support as she continued her kissing journey from the brunette’s arm to her shoulder, neck, and finally her face.

Cassandra did not open her eyes even once as Morgan placed open-mouthed kisses along her skin, but when Morgan began to reach her neck, a low purr formed in the brunette’s throat and Morgan couldn’t help but smile into her kisses as she travelled along the brunette’s jaw to her cheek before she finally was at Cassandra’s lips. Morgan pressed a teasing kiss to the corner of Cassandra’s mouth, licking at it gently before finally pressing a light kiss to Cassandra’s lips, only for it to be immediately deepened by the brunette herself. Arms suddenly wrapped themselves around Morgan’s waist and all but pulled Morgan away from the side of the bed and onto the mattress itself, Morgan nearly flying from the force as she let out a slight grunt as her back hit the mattress, but it was quickly swallowed by the brunette who had rolled herself on top of the maid with her lips still attached to Morgan’s.

The brunette’s tongue had easily broken past Morgan’s barriers and was entwined with the blonde’s tongue, picking up the usual dance that happened the two of them when they were in lip lock. Morgan couldn’t help but moan as the brunette’s ministrations and immediately lifted her hands to tangle them into those brown locks that she adored so much. Although Morgan did not have much time to revel in the softness of Cassandra’s hair, as the vampire had quickly grabbed the blonde’s hands and instead pinned them beside her head with her fingers entangled with Cassandra’s as she pulled away from the kiss, the tip of her tongue getting a slight nip from the brunette as she pulled away. Cassandra smirked as she noticed the flushness of Morgan’s cheeks as she stared down at her. She seductively licked her lips.

“Well look at that, breakfast in bed.”

While any other maid would feel terrified at those words leaving Cassandra’s mouth in close proximity, Morgan couldn’t help but laugh at them as she raised an eyebrow at the brunette who was eyeing her like she was a tender piece of stake presented to her on a silver platter. Although in this context, Morgan could apparently pass off as a meal to the brunette.

“I don’t think your mother will approve of that.” Cassandra immediately scrunched up her nose in disgust.

“Don’t you ever bring up my mother when you are in my bed again.”

“Why? Think I am to present myself to her instead of you?”

Bold move and it did not go unpunished. Morgan barely had any time to prepare herself when Cassandra all but slammed her lips to Morgan’s in a possessive kiss, teeth clashing hard that it made Morgan grunt in pain but her focus was quickly shifted to the pleasure she was receiving from the kiss. Cassandra tightened her grip on the blonde’s hands as she continued to kiss her, her lips and tongue dominating the blonde maid over and pushing her human need for oxygen as Morgan started to feel light-headed from the lack of air. Just when Morgan felt that she was about to pass out, Cassandra pulled away and she flashed a sadistic grin at the blonde as she panted beneath her, desperately trying to replace the oxygen which she had lost.

“Dare to say that again?” Morgan immediately shook her head, which made the brunette laugh as she released one of the blonde’s hand to place it on her thigh, trailing it under her skirt and along her thigh. Morgan’s breath hitched when she felt fingers trail along her inner thigh.

“I…we need to get you ready for breakfast-“

“Like I already said before, I am having breakfast in bed.” Cassandra leaned in to press an open-mouth kiss to the blonde’s neck, the action immediately making the blonde tilt her head to grant the vampire more access.

“Y-You know you can’t-“

“Don’t tell me what I can and cannot do.”

Morgan hissed when she got a punishing nip from the brunette as she caught some of her skin in a restrictive bite, her teeth scraping against the surface, but she immediately sighed as Cassandra smoothed her tongue over the shallow bite before she continued to lavish the blonde’s neck with attention while her hand continued its journey under the blonde’s skirt until her hand was pressing itself against the maid’s clothed core. Morgan gasped sharply.

“C-Cassandra-”

“I need to do something to wake me up completely, you don’t mind, do you?” Cassandra teased, nipping at the pulse point of the blonde maid as she rubbed her through her underwear before finally slipping her finger past the annoying fabric to meet the moist heat of her handmaiden.

Morgan immediately shook her head. Cassandra chuckled as she slipped two fingers inside the blonde.

“Good Girl.”

Daniela Dimitrescu

Daniela was chaos and Daniela absolutely adored, perhaps the most out of everyone in the castle. Since Daniela is the youngest, she is the apple of the eye from her sisters and her mother; however, it can be argued that she is the one who needs the most supervision since Daniela tended to get a little…lost in her games. Although Raya found no problem with it all, in fact, she found it as a part of Daniela’s charm which made her even more endearing to her than she already was.

Within the castle, it is often debated of whether it was Cassandra or Daniela who was the worst to tend to because quite honestly, they were equally as dangerous as one another, albeit in different ways. Cassandra was dangerous simply because of her sadistic nature. She could draw someone up like a pig and watch them bleed out with such enraptured attention that one could mistake her watching the most astounding music concert in the world. Cassandra took great delight in the pain of others and whenever one heard her cackle echo through the castle corridors, the first instinct was to run and hide, although if you were in her line of sight when doing that, then you have signed yourself up for a game that will result in your death.

On the other hand, Daniela was dangerous simply because of her imagination. She was far more whimsical than her sisters and since she was forced to remain in the safety of the castle walls during the cold winters, she had to entertain herself in some kind of way, and what was a better way to kill boredom than reenacting her favorite books and creating a fantasy world where one could easily get lost into due to it magnitude? Daniela loved playing games and she always found them better when she played them with others, although that was when it became dangerous for the maids.

Bela and Cassandra were hardly ever pulled into the youngest games because according to the redhead, they didn’t contain an ounce of imagination or creativity that could bring magic to a scene but the maids on the other hand did. It is amazing how far they are willing to go in order to please the younger Dimitrescu, barely hesitating at the commands she gives them during their gameplay, even if it resulted in the death of one of their own. Daniela was their princess and queen! They all admired her and hailed her as the most supreme! It was only right for them to obey her, and Daniela reveled in it.

In her little world, she was safe and secure. In her little world, she was the one that held all the power and was adored by everyone. She loved that feeling of worship and she chased after it constantly because there was only so much that she could receive from her mothers and sisters. She could not love her mother and sisters like she could as a lover, hence why she loved playing romantic games with the maids because it gave her some sense of a fulfilment because she was unable to contribute to the castle like her sisters did. Daniela felt like she could give something good through her romantic games, but the games never ended well for the maids because Daniela tended to forget about her superior strength and ultimately end the life of her game partner, which in turn ended her game.

Daniela definitely was the main cause behind the decrease in numbers of the maids since she was determined to find the perfect playmate for her, and Lady Dimitrescu was almost getting desperate enough to ask one of the other Lords for some kind of aid to keep her youngest out of the maid quarters in her search for a new game partner. But before Lady Dimitrescu could be brought to such a humiliating position in front of the other lords, it seemed that her unofficial prayers were answered when her youngest daughter brought home a human, a redhead like her daughter, and all but pleading for her to keep her as a pet. Alcina was hesitant at first, but she could never deprive her youngest of anything, and so she agreed to allow her to keep the human girl as a pet.

And it was the best decision Alcina could have ever made.

Raya was a blessing in disguise for everyone when she arrived at the castle and was immediately placed under the ‘care’ of Lady Daniela. The other maids were completely taken away from the appearance of the young redhead and couldn’t help but pity her at first when they found out which Dimitrescu daughter she was serving as a pet. Daniela was surely going to kill the girl eventually, so no one bothered to befriend her because it would be a loss since she was going to die soon. All those who served under Daniela always met their demise, so there was no point in growing attached, it was the only way to lessen the emotional turmoil caused by the death of a fellow maid in the castle.

..

.

Only the redhead never died.

Daniela adored the redheaded human and Raya adored the youngest Dimitrescu just as much, if not more. How could one not fall in love with someone like Daniela? She was cute, cuddly, creative, romantic, and an absolute delight to be around. Raya did not care that the other maids thought that she was mad for thinking so, although she never really saw them anyway since she was always in the company of the youngest Dimitrescu.

Daniela was one of the most affectionate people that Raya has ever met, although that may be due to the fact that Raya was not used to being the recipient of affection since she was considered the blight of all bad things in her village. The redhead was always cuddling with her, her hands grasping at her body and constantly finding new places which sent a beam of warmth through the human. Daniela’s touches were rough but curious, at times even becoming sensually soft when she sometimes remembered her superior strength. But Raya was okay with it, she was used to much rougher treatment by the hands of humans, so the roughhousing that she experienced with Daniela hardly made much a dent to Raya’s body. She was used to worse.

Even though Raya was officially regarded as the pet to Daniela, she still had a role to play in the castle, and so she was put to work as a maid. Although she never managed to do much since she was always dragged away eventually from the younger Dimitrescu when she was craving her attention. Daniela hardly cared if Raya was in the company of others, she would simply swarm to the area that Raya was expected to clean and all but sweep the maid away in a loving but crushing embrace, swarming them back to her room where they would either cuddle in her bed or play one of her many games.

Raya reveled in the attention that Daniela gave her, even if it resulted in a few bruises and bites when the redhead would get a bit carried away in her games. Daniela wanted someone to become the center of her world like in her romance stories and Raya wanted to be the center of somebody’s world, so the two of them were the perfect fit for one another. Daniela wanted to love and Raya wanted to be loved. They were everything that the other wanted.

Raya giggled as she threaded her fingers through the red locks that were covered her chest, her nails scratching at the scalp her owner as she laid on top of the maid, purring loudly at the attention that she was giving the fellow redhead. Daniela’s grip around Raya’s waist only tightened and Raya’s fingers traveled through her hair until it travelled down her neck, which she gently squeezed.

“Comfortable?” Raya teased, smiling down at the head of Daniela as she pinned her to the bed. She felt Daniela nod and Raya giggled again, moving her hands to travel over Daniela’s shoulders, feeling the redhead flex under her palms.

“If you want, we can go have a picnic later. I managed to pull some strings with one of the other maids to snag one of your mom’s wines for us.” Daniela’s head immediately snapped up from its place on Raya’s chest, wide eyes and a bright smile on her face as she stared at Raya in excitement.

“Really?” Raya nodded.

“Of course, I thought you deserved a little spoil. I made sure that all of your favorites were prepared.”

Daniela squealed in excitement and all but dived back into Raya’s body, her head knocking Raya on the chin and the air getting pushed out of her chest from the force but Raya all but loved and lovingly hugged the redhead closer to her as she began to pepper kisses all over Raya’s neck. Daniela continued to smother her in kisses until she was cupping Raya’s face and staring into her eyes with bright eyes filled with so much delight.

“You are too precious!” Raya laughed and lifted her hands to cup the redhead’s cheeks in return.

“Not as much as you.”

Daniela immediately leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips, clutching at the redhead’s face to make sure that she does not move. Raya allowed herself to be swept into a passionate kiss by Daniela, smiling into it as she felt Daniela give everything that she could in the kiss. Daniela never bothered to hide her affection for Raya, and she always held her heart on her sleeve, making Raya very informed on how she was feeling. With the way that she was kissing the redhead, Raya could tell that Daniela was very happy with her suggestion. Daniela leaned back and stared at her with a wide smile on her face before bumping her forehead against Raya’s.

“You’re perfect.” She confessed, the words gracefully falling off her lips golden eyes locked with green ones. Raya grinned and moved her head to bump it affectionately against Daniela’s again.

“Not like you.” She retorted, which only made Daniela’s smile widen again. She bumped against Raya’s forehead again.

“I’m going to keep your forever.”

“Please do.”

Daniela leaned down and pressed a kiss to Raya’s lip again, wrapping her up in a warm blanket of affection which Raya was delighted to be smothered with. Raya has craved for attention for so long, and the way that Daniela was so willing to give everything that she could to Raya was very endearing to her. Daniela was endearing overall and no matter what others may say about her, Raya could never be swayed of her opinion because she knew Daniela on a deeper level that not even her family would understand.

Chapter Text

Alcina Dimitrescu

With being one of the four lords of the land and a noblewoman from a prestige bloodline, Alcina has a reputation that is both terrifying and seductive. She is known as both the hedonistic mistress of Castle Dimitrescu and the most loyal lord to Mother Miranda. She is cold, ruthless, merciless, and undoubtable dangerous; however, to Isabela, she was the most faithful woman that one could even hope to meet.

It was obvious to most that Alcina Dimitrescu was undoubtedly loyal to Mother Miranda, actively participating in the many plans that the raven priestess prepares much more than the other three lords. Despite Salvatore’s attempts to match the dedicated participation of Alcina with Mother Miranda’s projects, the fish man is constantly falling short, much to the delight of the mistress of Castle Dimitrescu. Alcina was faithful to Miranda’s cause and did whatever she could to ensure that the priestess’s goals were achieve; however, Isabella never thought that she would receive the same degree of faithfulness from the vampire lord in their relationship.

Alcina’s beauty was undoubtably obvious. While Isabella had feared for her life when she was brought into the employment of the Dimitrescu family, the physical attraction that the maid had for her vampiric mistress was fairly instantaneously. Despite her abnormally tall height, Alcina possessed a particular aura that made her seductively dangerous to others, becoming a flame that people could not help being drawn to despite the possibility of being sliced to ribbons after one false move. It would be a burn most worthwhile, especially since Alcina had been around long enough to know exactly how to ruin someone, both physically and mentally.

Isabella became aware that there were different layers to Alcina after she became the noblewoman’s personal handmaiden, becoming more familiar with them even when the two of them eventually became intimate with one another. While Alcina was a hedonistic vampire with a critical desire to surround herself in blood and luxury, she was also a loving woman who was loyal to those who she truly valued. Mother Miranda was an obvious object of her loyalty; however, nobody could undermine the loyalty that she had towards her daughters. The three gremlins were adored by their mother, Alcina spoiling them endlessly to the extent that the castle staff feared that they were going to be the only survivors of the land with the many hunting expeditions the three Dimitrescu daughters had.

One feared that they would eventually wipe out all the villages in the land. They were most certainly capable of it. The number of times the three vampires had returned to the castle with blood coating every inch of them was endless. To this day, they still cannot understand how humanity has managed to survive as long as it had in the land.

With Isabella becoming Alcina’s handmaiden, entering a romantic relationship with her was daunting. The castle was only reserved for female workers; therefore, it was fairly common for the staff to become…intimate with one another as they were all human beings with needs. Being surrounded by the threat of death and torture at every hour of every day was a great impact on one’s mindset, and so the maid found comfort in the best way that they could, with one another.

Isabella previously had been one that would involve herself with a maid or two, but it was a great escalation to become with the mistress of the castle. Despite her vampire nature, Alcina was still a woman, and she very much had the needs similar to the maids in terms of wanting companionship during the dark times of the year. All four of the Dimitrescu women have taken on maids as their apparent lovers; however, none ever lived to tell the tale as they were simply used for a night of pleasure before being killed for it.

Alcina was a bit more controlled than her daughters when it came to her female companions and bed partners. She at least allowed them to live for a while before eventually growing tired of them and ending their lives swiftly, offering them one small consideration, unlike her daughters who tended to drag out their deaths even in moments of pleasure. Isabella was aware of Alcina’s past lovers during her employment before becoming her handmaiden, and so she was fearful for her life when the noblewoman suggested a closer relationship between the two of them.

Isabella knew it was not a good idea, but she found herself unable to reject Alcina and her pursuit of the maid. Although she hardly thought rejecting the woman would be a better option, because no maid would be able to survive and tell the tale about rejecting the Alcina Dimitrescu.

Becoming the lover of Alcina Dimitrescu came with many benefits, none which Isabella really cared about as she simply delighted in the noblewoman’s company. While one would usually still have a hint of fear linger in their mind when they lay in the bed of a vampire, Isabella found herself not having this fear as she trusted Alcina wholeheartedly. The noblewoman could quite easily crush the maid in moments of passion, but she restrained herself. She always thought of Isabella’s safety before anything else, even at times stopping during passionate moments because she was aware that she could lose herself and cause irreversible consequences.

It was practically impossible for Isabella not to fall in love with Alcina, although Isabella had a rather hard time believing that Alcina reciprocated her feelings.

While their romantic relationship was an indication that Alcina did feel a certain fondness for Isabella which was greater than the care that she had for a general maid, the noblewoman never really voiced her feelings for the brunette. Alcina was rather old-fashioned and never really voiced her feelings to anybody, not even her daughters that everyone undoubtedly knew that she adored and cherished. Isabella was not an exception from this trait from the vampiric mistress, Alcina never verbally indicating the depth of her feelings for the maid although Isabella did believe that her mistress loved her a little given the special treatment that she received with being her lover.

The immeasurable pleasure that Alcina gave her in moments of passion was a benefit enough; however, being her lover also involved more working benefits. Aside from cleaning her chambers, serving her tea and meals, and at times needing to deal with some of her paperwork regarding the wine estate and correspondences between the lords, Isabella had a relatively much easier workload than the rest of the working staff. She had plenty of leisure time, she had a large room, and she was allowed time away from the castle, a privilege which only the Head maid and Head chef possessed.

While there were advantages of being Alcina’s lover, there were disadvantages, which consisted of being the object of envy to other maids.

Bullying was hardly an oddity in the castle, especially among the staff since the more strong-willed maids needed to assert some sense of control over others as they were the constant prey of the vampire residents in the castle. Isabella never really had much trouble with other maids, mainly sticking to herself and not involving herself in social spats, but when she became Alcina’s handmaiden and eventual lover, she suddenly found herself having problems with a lot of other maids, most particularly the newer recruits who envied her position.

Isabella couldn’t help but wince at the stiffness of her limbs, her body having become unused to a vast number of rooms by herself. While Alcina was a lot more lenient towards Isabella with mistakes, she still expected perfection and excellence from her staff and the brunette did not become an exception to the noblewoman’s expectations because of their relationship. Isabella had embarrassed Alcina in front of the four lords when they had a rare meeting at the castle instead of their usual meeting place, having spilled wine all over all over Alcina when she had moved to refill her wine glass, staining her mistress’s white dress and sending Lord Heisenberg and Lady Beneviento’s doll Angie into wild hysterics.

Isabella thought that she was going to burn into a pile of ash from the look that Alcina gave her, the brunette’s head ducking down immediately in a submissive stance, frantic apologies leaving her lips as she righted herself. Even though she did not lift her head, Isabella knew that the true perpetrator near the dining room wall was reveling in her mistake, especially since she was the cause of it.

Vanessa was one of the newer recruits of the castle, having been employed for about five months. Isabella did not pay much mind in the beginning of her employment, but she quickly discovered that the girl was to be a thorn in her side since she desired Isabella’s position as Alcina’s handmaiden and lover. Isabella hardly thought that it was Alcina’s love that the young maid desired, simply the privileges that came with being involved with the noblewoman, and so Isabella found herself as the constant target of the young maid which resulted in her losing favor from Alcina and her daughters.

The incidents had started at small, consisting of terribly brewed tea, misplaced paperwork, and then scenarios where Isabella ended up running late to meals and meeting times where she was expected. Alcina had been lenient at first, even considerate and patient towards her; however, as the incidents began to increase in size, the noblewoman was starting to show her fangs and not in a good way.

Isabella knew that she was going to get punished for embarrassing Alcina in front of all the lords, and she was proven correct when Alcina had ordered her to clean the entire West Wing by herself, as well as to clean and polish all of Cassandra’s weapons in the armory. It was exhausting and Isabella’s body had become unused to such intense work due to the longitude of her position as Alcina’s handmaiden. It had taken a toll on the brunette and Isabella felt just about ready to pass out on the spot.

But she knew better than to do that. Alcina was still furious with her, having refused to see to see her during the entire time it took for Isabella to complete her punishment. Alcina has had the odd maid carry out her tasks, the Head maid being granted permission to clean her chambers. Despite being her lover, Isabella felt the anger of Alcina, and she trembled in thought of the further repercussions she would face. And to make things worse, she needed to find a way to deal with Vanessa.

While Isabella could easily tell Alcina about the troublesome thorn in her side, she hardly thought it would make much of a difference. Alcina was above dealing with social matters between maids and she hardly things that she will be an exception to this belief. Suffering in silence seemed to be the only thing she could do, albeit it was possibly the worst thing she could do because things would only get worse for her. Isabella can only pray that Vanessa becomes across Cassandra or Daniela during one of their moods, then the problem will be dealt with properly.

..

.

Hmmm, guess all the time she has spent with Alcina had made her a lot more … cold towards the other maids than she is supposed to be. She doesn’t quite know if that is a good thing or not.

Isabella sighed, finally returning her cleaning supplies to their original places. She was quite certain she deserved a rest from all the work she had to do, everyone else being forbidden by Alcina to aid her during her punishment. However, the sun was still out, which meant that she still had to attend to her other duties before she could even think about returning to her bedroom for her much-deserved rest.

Although she didn’t know what she could do in the meantime since Alcina had assigned her previous tasks to other maids during her punishment. While Isabella could just go find the Head maid to get some duties to fulfil, she opted to instead go straight to Alcina. Afterall, the head maid followed the orders of Alcina and Isabella can only hope that her lover will be in a more forgiving mood, it already been a week since the incident.

But knowing the noblewoman and the severity of the wine spilling incident, forgiveness won’t be as easy. Alcina did not forget, and she most certainly did not forgive easily. Isabella doesn’t even think her status as her lover can truly save her from the noblewoman’s vengeful nature.

She can only pray that Alcina is in a good mood.

As Isabella made her way towards Alcina’s office, it being the most likely place for the noblewoman to be during the time of day, she couldn’t help but think back to the incident which caused her lover to snap at her for the first time in public. Shame had immediately filled Isabella as Alcina’s cutting words hit her at full blast, to the extent that even Angie had made some sound effects that were similar to bombs blowing and ice freezing. Alcina’s merciless nature came to surface, and she could feel the smug smile of Vanessa directed behind her as she watched Isabella get verbally destroyed in front of the lords and other serving staff.

She had purposefully tripped Isabella when she had walked past the brunette after filling Lady Beneviento’s glass of wine as Isabella had been walking to do the same for Alcina, doing it subtly that it was not noticed by anyone and completely setting herself to make a fool of herself and Alcina. The young maid had an obvious mean streak, courtesy to her more privileged upbring in the village, and she loved flaunting her supposed power over other maids despite being their practical equal in terms of their place in the castle.

Thinking of the little devil made Isabella’s blood boil but she cooled her emotions as she reached Alcina’s office door, mentally preparing herself for meeting her still possibly scorned lover. She reached for the door handle and silently opened it, starting to push the door open only to pause when she heard Alcina’s voice.

“You are dismissed.” Alcina said, having said the words so clearly despite Isabella not even entering the room yet. Her heart was immediately stung by the blatant rejection, her eyes filling with tears despite being dry not even a second ago. She swallowed thickly and had started to close the door only to freeze when she heard a different voice in the room, it belonging to the very devil who set Isabella up for punishment in the first place.

“If I may request a moment of your time milady.” Vanessa had said, a certain smoothness to her voice, that Isabella couldn’t help but furrow her eyebrows at the sound of it. “I have a rather…urgent matter to bring to your attention.”

“Speak.” Alcina said, her voice hard as Isabella guessed that she was looking at Vanessa with mild impatience.

“Well milady, I have been noticing that your handmaiden has been rather…loose around her duties lately.” Vanessa started, a concerned tone in her voice which immediately made Isabella’s boil.

Of all the things to do, she was actually in Alcina’s office to badmouth Isabella even further about the supposed incidents that have popped up ever since Vanessa’s employment. She had already been punished enough, and Vanessa reminding Alcina of her multiple mishaps could only spell out more suffering for Isabella despite being a victim in all of it.

“What of it?” Alcina demanded, clearly not taken by the young maid’s point of Isabella’s mishaps.

“Well, I only think that you deserve the best milady and…I do not believe that Miss Isabela is truly the handmaiden that you deserve.”

Isabella heard soft footsteps move in the room, particularly in the further direction where Isabella knew Alcina’s desk was located. She can only guess Vanessa had walked towards Alcina in her desk, closing the distance between the two of them although it was hardly an action maids would voluntarily do. Isabella leaned her head closer to the door, hearing Vanessa’s voice adopt a more … sensual tone to it as she began to speak again.

“You deserve a handmaiden who achieves the excellence that you expect and deserve. You deserve someone who will honor every demand of yours, said and unsaid, as well as carry the position of your personal handmaiden with pride. Miss Isabella has become far too lax in the position; she can barely fulfil the simplest of duties such as refilling your wine. She humiliated you in front of guests…something which I would never do if I was in her position.”

This was possibly the most direct thing Vanessa has done to try steal Isabella’s position from her, and she was hardly subtle about her intentions towards Alcina as she all but purred the last few words, so much so that the brunette almost missed them.

Alcina was hardly a stranger of being a person of interest by others, her beauty being one of her most outstanding traits, and she is aware of the physical effect she had on some of the maids. So, Isabella can imagine that Alcina is hardly surprised by Vanessa’s supposed interest in her. Although…the small insecurity that Isabella had developed during her romantic relationship with Alcina began to crawl from the back of her mind to the front.

Vanessa was a devil, but she was a beautiful devil, certainly much more beautiful than Isabella. While it enraged Isabella to hear her attempting to woo Alcina with her just outside the door…she couldn’t help but suddenly fear that the noblewoman would humor the young maid’s interest. Vanessa was definitely in a better light than Isabella in the current time since Alcina was most likely still angry with the wine spilling incident; therefore, Isabella couldn’t help but fear that Alcina would possibly consider Vanessa’s words since they seemed to highlight Isabella’s latest inadequacies in connection to her handmaiden position.

“…You are such an alluring employer Lady Dimitrescu, I simply want to please you…in any way you would like me to.” Vanessa purred, her intentions becoming most obvious.

“…In any way you say?” Alcina said, the words immediately piercing Isabella through the heart as multiple thoughts came to mind, her insecurity screaming at her as she listened to the conversation. “In that case, come closer.”

Dread filled Isabella as she heard Vanessa’s footsteps approach Alcina’s desk, a confident spring in them which indicated that the young maid felt no fear in the moment. Silence followed after the footsteps, Isabella straining her ears in an attempt to hear for any sound, only for it to become unnecessary as she suddenly heard a shocked gasp escape Vanessa, along with a threatening growl from Alcina.

“You impudent little rat.” Alcina growled, the sound sending tremors in the room and ultimately making Isabella tense outside the door despite not being the recipient of such a growl. “You dare to insult your superior and disrespect their standing as my handmaiden.”

“L-Lady Dimitrescu-“ Vanessa had started, only to start letting out choking sounds and gasps. Isabella had no idea what was occurring in the office, but she could only think that Vanessa had been gripped by the throat. As she heard a slightly shuffling sound and the increased choking and panicked gasps from Vanessa, the maid figured that Alcina had stood up from her desk and was now holding Vanessa in the air.

“While she has been punished accordingly for her actions, Isabella is far more qualified and capable to serve me in ways which you never could. Pestering me with such frivolous talk…clearly you have forgotten your place.” The sound of Alcina’s nails extending immediately sliced through the room, making Isabella’s eyes widen as well as Vanessa’s voice to become more violently panicked. “Clearly I need to make better use of that tongue of yours.”

Isabella no longer needed to listen to know what Alcina had planned; therefore, she instead turned and walked away from the door, having no desire to hear the punishment Alcina had decided for the young maid. Despite her lack of desire to hear the punishment, a smile couldn’t help but crawl along her face as she continued down the corridor without a second glance despite hearing the muffled screams from Alcina’s office.

While Alcina was still angry with her, her faithfulness for the brunette was made clear in her defending of Isabella from Vanessa. Perhaps Alcina personally dealing with Vanessa is the answer to all her prayers regarding vanessa, because whatever Alcina plans to do to the young maid will clearly change Vanessa’s behavior in the castle, most notably towards Isabella.

While Alcina was not a woman of many words regarding emotion, she made her faithfulness towards Isabella obvious to the brunette, even though she was still unaware that Isabella was present at her demonstration of faithfulness to Vanessa.

Bela Dimitrescu

Dinner service was hardly a new task for Alexia since it was always planned for Alexia to be one of the serving maids; however,  the new occurrence that Alexia experienced was witnessing one of the other four lords to be dining with the Dimitrescu family, most particularly the infamous lord Beneviento who was currently seated next to Bela.

The relationship between Bela and Alexia was rather…complicated to say the least, especially since the two of them have shared a few kisses and late-night touches that is far further than people in a friendship would share with one another. Both women were hardly experienced in romance, especially Alexia since she was never regarded as a beauty in her village nor among the staff and so she never had anyone express any romantic interest in her. Bela was the first person to ever express interest in her, although she is not exactly the person Alexia had ever imagined expressing an interest in her.

Bela was a complication. She was not somebody who easily opened up to others, especially not to Alexia because not too long ago, Alexia was simply regarded as another maid who was beneath the blonde, both physically and socially. Bela was a superior being and Alexia was very well aware of her imperfections as a normal human, and yet she had found herself forgetting her plainness whenever she was in a room with Bela. Alexia could not exactly find a word for it, but whenever she and Bela were together, the two of them just seemed to … connect in some kind of way.

The social and physical distance seemed to close between the two of them whenever they were together in the privacy of Bela’s bedroom. The library had become too public for Bela’s liking, especially since her sisters had made it their daily mission to try interrupt and annoy Bela whenever she was in her presence. The number of times that Alexia became a victim to one of their pranks to get a rise out of Bela were starting to become countless, and so Bela retreated herself and you into the confines of her bedroom, where the two of you either read or participated in more … physical activities.

Neither of you had crossed that line though, the only things that two of you had shared were kisses and some late-night cuddles which were as abnormal as they felt. Alexia was tense the entire time Bela initiated physical contact, almost expecting the blonde to change her mind mid-action and to suddenly snap her neck. Alexia could not help it; she was just so unused to someone being physical with her with the intention of expressing affection instead of pain. Bela must have noticed it, as she almost always withdraws from Alexia when she noticed her rapid heartbeat and discomfort at the touch.

Alexia didn’t know what to make of her relationship with Bela, if even she could even call it that because the two of them had hit an apparent standstill with one another. Bela had recently become a lot busier with some sort of project that Lady Dimitrescu assigned her, and her sisters had been acting out a lot more than usual, which resulted in Bela having to spend whatever remaining time she had to supervise them. There was not much that Alexia could do about it, especially since she was nothing more than a maid who was inferior to Bela.

But Alexia could partly blame herself for the standstill too because she had started to distance herself from Bela, most particularly when her mother assigned her a certain project which consisted of spending more time with the lord who was currently having dinner with the vampiric family. Alexia did not know what the project consisted of, never having the guts to ask Bela nor did she have the right to ask, but she did know that it took Bela out of the castle a lot more frequently, which led to the return of her torment by the other maids.

Bela’s interest in the dark-haired maid did not go unnoticed by the maids, albeit none of them dared to say anything to Lady Dimitrescu because they would immediately be met with the end of her claws for apparently spreading lies about her eldest daughter. Oddly enough, neither Cassandra nor Daniela mentioned Bela and Alexia’s relationship with their mother despite knowing about it. The raven maid didn’t know if it was because it was blackmail material for them against their sister, or their own curiosity to see the progression, but Alexia knew well enough to avoid the two sisters as much as she could unless she wanted to be a victim to yet another prank.

The other maids dared not to say anything publicly which could invoke the wrath of Bela, as the blonde vampire was notorious for her dislike for humans. Bela was about as notorious with her dislike for humans as Cassandra was with her expertise with blades; therefore, everyone knew better than to cross. While Cassandra liked to draw out the pain of others, Bela was efficient in truly bringing out the maximum pain from her chosen victim. She was very much the carbon copy of her mother in terms of being lethal, precise, and downright dangerous.

Despite her dislike for humans, Bela had on a few occasions dealt with a few maids that were rather direct with their blatant dislike for Alexia. They had not even realized that they had become prey until the blonde had pounced on them; although pounced is not the exact word that she would use to how the blonde dealt with them. Bela was very sophisticated through the ordeals, maintaining an air of composure as she pierced the maids’ thighs with her sickle and then dragged them off to the dungeons where she would make use of the multiple tools that were available to her. Bela never outright said that she dealt with the maids for Alexia, nor did Alexia even comment on the incidents, but somehow, the maid felt a small flutter of warmth in her chest, even though she knew it was wrong.

Alexia’s interactions with Bela served as some sort of protection ward against the other maids, none of them daring to approach her after the half-dozen deaths of the maids that Bela dealt with in fear for their lives. Alexia never felt so at peace in the castle before, and the times that she shared with Bela started to become something that Alexia eagerly anticipated for, but then the raven maid began to furrow within herself in shame for enjoying the presence of a woman who killed people like Alexia on a daily basis.

But since Bela have been busy with Lady Beneviento, Alexia found herself missing the blonde for two reasons. The first being that she no longer felt safe in the castle like she had before when the two met on an almost nightly basis, the second being that she simply missed the blonde.

The two of them had not been meeting as of late, and her fellow maids made sure to take advantage of the dark-haired maid’s lack of protection by one of the vampire residents. Her bed was filled with the dismembered organs which were not eaten for dinner, her clothes were submerged in buckets of blood, and Alexia had been periodically jumped in the staff bathroom to the extent that she had not bathed in nearly two days as her body was trying to recover from the recent attack. Despite still being able to carry out her duties, her body was moaning under the strain, most particularly her ribs that ached considerably as she stood at attention at the dinner service, her hands tightening around the wine bottle in an attempt to prevent herself from displaying any signs of pain.

The other maids reveled in her pain and while she could not physically fight them off, she could at least withhold some of their pleasure with the maintaining of her composure. She may be weak, but she still had her pride, and no matter what the maids did to her, she was not going to lose the last threads of it.

Alexia remained in her position near one of the columns of the dining room, a wine bottle at the ready for when any of the dining residents required more wine. Her ribs were aching painfully, but she actively ignored it, feeling the eyes of the other maids on her, all of them waiting for her to snap and crumble from either their intense gazes or the humming pain of her ribs. Alexia paid them no mind, she instead stared ahead and waited for any movement from the Dimitrescus or Lady Beneviento for move wine; however, she could not help but let her eyes linger on Bela’s face as the blonde conversed with her mother.

Bela never paid any attention to Alexia during meal services, the maid unsure if the blonde simply did not notice her presence or purposefully ignored her in order to not drop an inclining of suspicion to her mother who was always interacting with her daughters during meals. Her features her both sharp and beautiful to Alexia, her hair soft and perfectly in place despite always dissipating into insects whenever she travelled in the castle. The one thing Alexia always noticed about the blonde was that her appearance was almost always pristine, unlike her younger siblings who always had bloodstained mouths and chins, along with their hair being matted with blood.

Bela carried herself like the heir of the Dimitrescu bloodline and legacy should, she was composed at all times and always aware, very much like her mother which was both impressive and eerie at the same time. Alexia felt her heart actively beating faster in her chest as she gazed at Bela, the blonde turning her head to speak to Lady Beneviento, although the hooded woman never actually spoke, instead the animatic Miss Angie answered on her behalf, throwing her wooden arms gleefully in the air as she spoke to the blonde. Bela never flinched at the doll’s actions or words, instead…she smiled. Her eyes lit up slightly when she gazed at Angie and then to Lady Beneviento, her features softening slightly that she almost looked like a human noblewoman. The blonde was serene looking and so beautiful…and Alexia couldn’t help but feel a slight tremor in her chest which was not connected to her injuries.

Alexia couldn’t quite understand why she enjoyed making things difficult for herself. She didn’t know how she could address the stirring feelings that she had for the blonde vampire, nor could she fully understand them. But she was a veteran in pain and the physical pain that she constantly receives pales in comparison to the new pain that she experiences when she sees Bela interacting with Lady Beneviento and Miss Angie with a certain softness which Alexia had been witness to for only a few times. A certain emotion was bubbling in Alexia that she had no right to feel, taking control over Alexia that she only realized that she had been summoned to refill a wine glass when Angie’s voice screeched through the room.

“Hey ya bar maid! Hurry up, will ya!”

Alexia blinked herself back in alert, flushing heavily when she realized that the dining residents were now gazing at her, all with mixed emotions. Lady Dimitrescu maintained a composed face; however, everyone could detect the annoyed twitch of her eyebrow as she took a sip from her own wine glass as she eyes Alexia as she walked towards the table to refill Lady Beneviento’s glass. Cassandra and Daniela were cackling while Bela had a composed mask of her own, her eyes locking with Alexia’s for a brief second before she turned back to Lady Beneviento, the hooded woman not acknowledging Alexia’s existence as she kept her head turned in Bela’s direction. Although Alexia was not spared any words from Miss Angie.

“Dawdling ain’t good for ya in this joint sunshine! With this lot, ya will become the next plate! Careful with that head of yours!”

Alexia simply nodded to appease the doll before she retreated back to her original position, the mirthful eyes of the other maids taunting her, along with their vindictive smiles. Fortunately, dinner did not last much longer, and Alexia managed to not make any more slip ups, most usually being cut down by the first mistake that Alexia had made. She did not know why she got away with it, but she was not complaining; although its very existence made itself a tool of torment by the other maids as they made sure to remind Alexia of her blunder as she carried the bloody dishes back to the kitchen.

A wave of exhaustion washed over the maid when she eventually retreated from the kitchens and started making her way to the servant quarters to her bedroom. She had probably had a brush with death, and she simply needed to sleep it off, as well as tend to the bruises and cuts on her abdomen. But as Alexia had started her journey, she paused when she heard Miss Angie’s voice, followed by Bela’s.

“You coming up to our room hot stuff? We got a whole lot of stuff to show ya! Donna especially!”

Alexia could not see the three beings, but she could tell that they were close, and hearing Miss Angie’s tone as it was directed at Bela made the feeling in her chest return. Hearing Bela’s contemplative hum made it intensify.

“Perhaps, although I will make no promises.” Bela answered, smooth and composed as ever. Miss Angie cackled.

“Ya tease hot stuff! Making Donna yearn and stuff for ya!”

Alexia heard a light thump and an outraged yelp from Angie made Alexia believe that she had been knocked on the head by her owner, bringing a small smile to her face but it quickly disappeared as the doll’s words began to circle her head. The feeling in her chest began to intensify but Alexia opted to not allow herself to be caught eavesdropping, quickly turning away from the direction of the voices, and instead continuing on her journey to her room.

There were fortunately no other maids for Alexia to deal with when she arrived at the servant quarters, the dark-haired maid letting out a relieved sigh when she entered her room and locked the door behind her. She stumbled into her room, her hand clutching at her side as her ribs reminded her of their precarious state which could not be ignored. Slowly beginning to strip herself, Alexia couldn’t help but hiss as she raised her arms, her ribs always protesting the loudest whenever she did the action.

When she eventually managed to disrobe her top half, she couldn’t help but glance down at her battered abdomen, tracing the dark bruises that painted her pale skin. She flinched when she stroked the tender skin. It was going to be a while for it to go away. Alexia sighed and reached for one of the jars of cream that she managed to snag from the staff supplies, intending to apply it to her bruises before she all but dropped it when she heard a voice behind her.

“What happened to you.”

Alexia immediately whipped around to see Bela standing behind her, her golden eyes melting into a dark gold, almost black, as she stared intensely at Alexia. The dark maid stumbled back, her hands immediately moving to cover her bare abdomen, fortunately her bra still being worn so that she did not bare her entire plainness to the blonde vampire.

“L-Lady Bela!’ Alexia stuttered out, old habit dying hard as she did not expect the blonde vampire. Bela scowled as she took a step towards her.

“Bela.” She firmly reminded, the blonde’s name being a small privilege that other maids could not have because of Bela’s stance on their species. It was something so small and yet so meaningful to Alexia.

“B-Bela.” Alexia stuttered out again, taking another step backwards only to belatedly realize that she was stepping into the broken shards of the jar she had dropped.

Alexia immediately hissed and retracted her foot from the broken shard that pierced her heel, but due to her already pained state, as well as her attempts to continue covering herself, Alexia lost her balance and immediately fell backwards towards the hard floor. The maid prepared herself for a hard landing, only to be caught in surprise when she was met with a soft firmness which was rather cool to the touch. Bela’s arms were wrapped around her, and Alexia did not have time to react before she was suddenly placed on her bed with Bela hovering over her, the blonde’s hands on the mattress on either side of the maid, their faces very close together.

“What happened.” Bela said again, albeit a bit more annoyed this time as she waited for Alexia to answer. The maid tried to look away, her mind whirling in thought for a possible excuse, only to be stopped by Bela’s hand gripping her chin and forcing her to look back at her. “Don’t you dare lie to me.”

“I-I…” Alexia did not know what she could say, not when her face was so close to Bela’s that she could feel the blonde’s breath tickling her lips as she spoke. The golden eyes of the vampire were intense and shining darkly, making the submissive nature of Alexia was to expose her neck to the obviously superior being in front of her.

“Alexia.”

“I-I…I thought you were…u-um…”

Alexia had assumed that Bela would be continuing her…discussion with Lady Beneviento, since she heard the conversation not too long ago. But instead, the blonde was here, staring at her demandingly on her bed, impatience becoming more prominent on her face.

“You thought I was what?”

“I…I…”

“Did you think that I was going to go to Donna’s room? To do what exactly?”

Alexia was completely abashed. Bela somehow knew that Alexia overhead the conversation. How? She did not know, but now that she did, she was terrified. The blonde could be as unpredictable as her sisters and with her being the only one in the maid’s room, there were a number of scenarios flashing through her head which was not favorable to Alexia in any way.

Bela tightened her grip on Alexia’s chin, her eyes scanning her face before slipping down and glancing at her body. Realizing that her body was bare, Alexia moved her hands to cover herself again, but Bela stopped her. The blonde grabbed her wrists and forced them to her side, her eyes flashing dangerously as she gave Alexia a warning look before resuming her previous action in looking at Alexia’s bruised body. The minutes felt like hours and Alexia couldn’t help but tremble from the intense surveying that Bela was doing to her, a low growl having formed in the blonde’s throat as she looked over every mark and blemish on the maid. When she finally locked eyes with Alexia, her eyes were a dangerous dark gold.

“I want their names.”

“Bela-“

“Now.”

“I…”

Her tongue was becoming tied up and she was unable to utter a further word, not when Bela was becoming so vicious in front of her. Bela released one of her hands and moved to cup the back of her neck, angling Alexia’s head upwards look at her.

“You are never to hide things like this from me. Never.”

“B-But I-“

“You are mine. And no one is to touch you.”

“I…I…”

“I never should have left you alone.”

Alexia had never heard Bela sound so regretful before, and it stunned her into oblivion that she expressed guilt over not protecting her like she had before with her presence. Their relationship was complicated, and this is probably the most they have ever spoken about their…feeling for one another. But Alexia could not understand why the blonde cared so much for the maid, not when she had much better options to choose from.

“L-Lady Beneviento-“

“She is her and you are you. There is only one of you. And you are mine.”

It took time for Alexia to realize that Bela’s statement was the first proof of faithfulness that she had for Alexia and their relationship, albeit it was still rather new at the time. The blonde proved herself to be a faithful partner to Alexia, immediately dealing with the maids that issued such bruises and cuts on Alexia, as well as to create more time for the two of them to reacquaint themselves with one another after the standstill period between the two of them since her project with Lady Beneviento. It took a while for Alexia to realize that she was worthwhile to Bela, although the blonde did make a continuous effort to help the maid realize her worth to the blonde, and effort which eventually became unnecessary.

Cassandra Dimitrescu

Morgan has always questioned her sanity, even before she had arrived at castle Dimitrescu. She wouldn’t say that she would insane, but she certainly believed that was a little bit odder than others, especially given the life choices that she has made before and after becoming one of the working staff for the Dimitrescu family.

If somebody was to ask Morgan who was the easiest lord to serve, she would have an answer to give them. There were pros and cons to working for the four lords, although quite honestly, she would hardly call the pros being actual pros since death was almost a definite guarantee, although the circumstances that led to one’s death was the differing factor between the different employments.

Lady Dimitrescu was the lord that had the most working staff, particularly of women since the Dimitrescu matriarch had her taste obvious since any man who stepped foot into the castle were almost sliced to bits in an instant, or dragged down to the dungeons where his screams would be a repeating melody which the maids would only pray for an early end. ‘Generous’ would not exactly be a word that Morgan would use to describe the vampire mistress, but in some way, she could be considered that since she often would send maids to work for the various lords, more often for Lady Beneviento since the dollmaker lord often needed extra hands to tend to that wild garden of hers outside her home.

Although those who have been sent to Lady Beneviento’s home have yet to return to the and Morgan dreads to find out the reason behind their disappearance, especially since she has an inkling of their whereabouts as the maids’ rooms are always cleaned and prepared for the newer maids that are recruited from other villages.

Lord Salvatore and Lord Heisenberg were the worst two lords to be sent to since the reasons of the maids’ disappearances were as transparent as clear water. Heisenberg even had the nerve to quip Lady Dimitrescu about the help that she sent to his factory, none of them ever returning in one piece, at times some of them being returned to Lady Dimitrescu with a whirling machine attached to their body. Morgan recalls the one time she had seen one of the…maids which Heisenberg had returned to the Dimitrescu matriarch during one of the lord meetings that were oddly held at the castle. The small buzzing sound of the engine attached to the metal contraption of the maid in place of her arm was constant and annoying, something which Lady Dimitrescu mentioned immediately.

“You ruined her.” She hissed, eyeing the misshaped maid with a ducked down head who was standing beside Heisenberg as put his feet up on the table.

“I upgraded her! You said you wanted an improvement out of her!”

“Of her attitude, I didn’t want another welding contraption of yours.”

“Bah, you made her ugly glasses! Ugly as hell!” Miss Angie quipped in agreement, waving her wooden hands in the direction of the metal welded maid. “Look at her! She’s a damn metal crap!”

Heisenberg snapped his teeth doggishly at Angie before turning back to Alcina, the vampire mistress staring darkly at Heisenberg. The male lord sighed before raising his hand.

“Ungrateful bitch.”

And then as if it was a magnet, the metal arm ripped itself away from the made and into Lord Heisenberg’s hand, the force sending the maid to the floor with a pained scream before blood began to pour out from her shoulder socket, no limb attached to it at all. Morgan had all but watched in horror as the lords did nothing but wait for the scream and whimpers to eventually subside into silence. Lady Dimitrescu brought her cigarette to her lips and inhaled deeply before releasing a big cloud of smoke.

“Clean it up.” She ordered to Morgan and the other maids, none of them awaiting further orders as they all rushed to the body of their fellow maid, extracting her from the dining hall before Heisenberg could snatch one of them to give them an ‘upgrade’.

Morgan has been fortunate enough to not be sent to any of the other lords, but oddly enough, something which has led to herself and others questioning her sanity, Morgan actually preferred working for the Dimitrescus simply because she believed that they were the easiest to work for. If you did your bit and did not get in the way of any of the vampire employers, you didn’t get killed. Easy as that.

Some agreed with her while others thought she was absolutely mad. Morgan didn’t blame them, not everyone had a mindset like her, although she has found some companionship with those who shared the same ideas as her, mainly Lady Dimitrescu’s personal handmaiden and the new redhead that has joined their ranks. Raya was an odd one, and that meant something if it was Morgan commenting on her oddness, but the blonde liked her. She was harmless and she had a positivity which was very hard to come across, especially in a land and castle which was dominated by the blood-drinking women whose cackles haunted the dreams of those who did not have strong minds.

So, while Morgan questioned her sanity regarding her choice of employment and choice of friends, neither Raya or Lady Dimitrescu’s handmaiden being the most popular women in the staff, she decided that she was definitely insane when she decided to get involved with the one and only Cassandra Dimitrescu.

Cassandra was death itself. Out of all three of the sisters, Cassandra was the worst. The brunette was a sadist, a complete psychopath to the extent that she sliced down maids in front of others and then forced them to watch or even participate when she played around with her selected prey. She loved hunting down maids, sending groups of them into the words and then hunting all of them down, their screams echoing throughout the woods that the sounds terrified the villagers to the extent that none of them would come out of their houses for days in fear for their lives.

Cassandra lived for fear. She adored the fear she invoked in everyone, her sisters even being wary of her at times, although her younger sister didn’t care much as she was often lost in her own mind, but Morgan has overheard Lady Bela making a few quips towards her younger sister, most of them contained inklings of concern although the blonde vampire always perfectly masked it with an air of apathy. Cassandra was a walking grim reaper, and yet despite of her infamous reputation as the deadliest of the three Dimitrescu sisters, she also happened to be the one most…intimately involved with maids.

The maids would do anything to survive in the castle, even if it meant getting dangerously closer to their employers. It was not exactly a new tactic of survival for the maids, but it was one of the most reckless ones since the Dimitrescus made their views of the maids abundantly clear.

They were toys, almost pets or livestock at most, and easily replaceable.

Everyone could say that they had a favorite toy growing up, but eventually that favorite toy becomes replaced or forgotten once newer and better toys become available. Morgan is guilty of this, along with every other maid, and while the maids did not believe that there was an inkling of humanity in their vampire employers, they have proved themselves as having the same feelings as the maids, although on a more predatory level.

The Dimitrescus ate, slept, and breathed like humans, and similar to their maids, they also had more desirable, innermost needs which only another person could satisfy, the only ones being available to the vampires being the maids themselves. Lady Dimitrescu has taken on lovers, along with Lady Daniela and Cassandra. Lady Bela is probably the only one out of all the Dimitrescus to not involve herself with maids, earning the nickname of ‘Frigid Bitch’ within the maid circle.

Although lovers were not exactly the right term Morgan would use, especially with what would happen to the said lovers whenever one of the Dimitrescu’s lost either control or interest during intimate moments.

Becoming a lover for Cassandra was brave and stupid. Whenever Cassandra took a liking to a maid, it always ended in her death immediately after the first night she shares the bed with the middle Dimitrescu daughter. Cassandra was obviously much stronger than the average human, and her bloodthirsty nature made it almost impossible for the brunette to not take a bite out of her lover while she is driving them to the edge of pleasure. One can believe that the brunette it good at it, as everyone could agree that the screams that came from the brunette’s bedroom were not always from a root of pain, but towards the end of the evening, pain was the most obvious thing that came to mind.

Morgan never thought that she would ever be in the position of catching the middle Dimitrescu daughter’s attention, much less enjoy the attention that she received even though it did result in her receiving a few bruises and bites which could not be passed off for being clumsy. Cassandra was always very intentional when it came to Morgan, the blonde maid being a victim to her own desire as she purposefully ignored the warning bells going off in her head as she wrapped her arms around Cassandra’s neck as the brunette lifted her onto the table in her armory, her tongue eagerly battling with Morgan’s.

These rendezvous with Cassandra were hardly secret since the brunette did not mask her obvious desire for the blonde maid. Morgan saw the looks of surprise and disgust each time she returned to the staff quarters for meals. She has returned almost completely unharmed from an intimate moment for the past few months with Cassandra and continued to pursue whatever arrangement had formed between the two of them despite the sheer stupidity of it. Even though Morgan is hardly the first woman that Cassandra has  been romantically involved with, she was the longest one, and somehow that has set off some jealousy and wrathful buttons in the other maids which has resulted in the blonde becoming the victim of some … pranks.

Although she has never been one to take things laying down, and so retaliation was an obvious response from the blonde to the others.

Even though the hypocritical nature of the maids became known to Morgan since she became involved with Cassandra, she will not lie and say that she was not wary of the brunette. Don’t get her wrong, she has always been wary of Cassandra, even before the brunette expressed an interest in her, but since the two of them have gotten closer, she can’t help but think of the brunette’s previous relationships with maids, if she could even call them that.

Morgan and Cassandra haven’t crossed the line yet, although the way the brunette was ducking her hands under the blonde’s skirt and shirt, nails scratching against the soft skin, made it obvious to Morgan that the brunette wanted to take her to bed. But Morgan refused.

Well, it’s not like she refused she didn’t want to. She did, despite the sheer stupidity of it. But Morgan did not want to be one quick fuck in the night before having her end before the end of it. She did not want to be like all the other maids that Cassandra has slept with, and the fact that the brunette was treating her like one did put a damper on her mood, especially since Morgan grabbed the brunette’s wrist to stop her from venturing further up the blonde’s skirt, which made Cassandra growl in frustration.

“Let go.” She demanded, her lips inches away from Morgan’s lips as she pulled away to growl menacingly at the blonde, her dark golden eyes shining dangerously. But instead of feeling fear, Morgan met the menacing glare without a shred of fear.

“No. This is where we stop.” She said, her answer making the brunette growl even louder as she ripped her hand out of Morgan’s grip and instead grabbed at the blonde’s hip, squeezing it menacingly that Morgan had to stifle a flinch of pain as Cassandra continued to stand between her legs, not allowing the maid any space to possibly remove herself.

“We stop when I say we stop.” She growled, emphasizing her point by dragging her nails down the blonde’s stomach, the sharp sting of pain making Morgan gasp but then hum at the slight pleasure the action gave, the sound making Cassandra’s eyes glint in delight. She smirked and leaned in to give a nip to Morgan’s jaw. “You obviously want it. So, stop acting all brave.”

Cassandra lowered her lips to start nipping at Morgan’s neck, the blonde immediately gasping and tilting her head back to provide the brunette more access to the delicate skin. Even though her preservation instincts were screaming at her for letting a predator so close to her neck, Morgan couldn’t help but weave her fingers in Cassandra’s hair as she began to suck at the blonde’s neck, determined to replace the barely faded marks on her neck from their previous meeting. Cassandra seemed to have an effect on her which she could not describe.

Even though Morgan knew that she was insane to allow herself to be put in a dangerous position like this, she couldn’t help but revel in it because moments like this with Cassandra made her feel like she was in a different world. Cassandra wasn’t the most eloquent with words, so actions were her go to and when she kissed and touched Morgan the way she was currently was, Morgan couldn’t help but feel she was the only girl in the world worthy of such attention.

..

.

Only to remember that she wasn’t.

Since Morgan continued to kiss her, Cassandra proceeded with her previous actions to slide her hand under Morgan’s skirt, her other hand gliding under the maid’s shirt, traveling up to her bra-covered chest. Morgan flinched when she felt Cassandra’s cool digits against her inner thigh, and then she suddenly slammed them together, trapping Cassandra’s hand between them while she pulled her head away from Cassandra’s lips, her hand moving to press themselves against the brunette’s shoulders.

“No.” she said, gritting her teeth as she tried to steady herself and blink away the previous haze of desire which was clouding her head. “No more.”

Cassandra growled again, a lot more menacing this time as she tugged her hand away from its prison between Morgan’s thighs and moved it to grip Morgan by the jaw, her fingers roughly digging into her face.

“The first time was cute, the second time was tolerable, but now you are being fucking annoying.” She growled, her eyes glinting dangerously. Morgan shivered in fear, it being a natural reaction as her human side instantly recognized the danger that she was putting herself in by refusing a predator, but it did not stop her from holding her ground.

“I’m not going to be another quick fuck to you.” Morgan snapped; her eyes matched readily with Casandra’s golden ones. “If that is all I am going to be, then kill me right now and find your next toy.”

Again, Morgan is questioning her sanity with such a demand, and yet she found herself uncaring. Death was always on the table when it came to working in the Dimitrescu castle, it just become a lot more available the closer she got to Cassandra. She should have expected this sooner than later, although it was a lot sooner than she had anticipated. She hopes that at least she will have some kind of burial, maybe her ghost will be able to reach out to Raya sometime to hold a special ceremony in her honor. That redhead seemed to have a fascination with funerals oddly enough, so at least Morgan knew that she could rely on having some kind of celebration with her life if she left it to the new maid recruit.

Cassandra blinked at Morgan’s words. Once. Twice. And then the grip on Morgan’s jaw tightened painfully to the extent that Morgan couldn’t help but let out a gasp of pain. Cassandra’s face was so close that she could practically feel the brunette’s words on her lips as she spoke.

“What did you just say?” She whispered, although the whisper was practically as loud as a scream as the armory was entirely silent, the air dead, almost as dead as Morgan was going to be. But instead of retracting her words and pleading for her life, Morgan pushed forward and continued with her pride.

“I said,” She started, somehow managing to speak even though her jaw was groaning in pain from the brunette’s death grip, “that if I am just going to be another fuck to you, then kill me now. I won’t be another body to your endless pile that died in your bed.”

..

.

Morgan waited for Cassandra’s teeth to pierce her neck or for it to be snapped in half, her body readying itself for its impending death, but instead she was met with nothing. Cassandra remained in place for a few long moments, her face unreadable with the cold mask that she had in place. But Morgan could see thoughts whirling in the brunette’s eyes as she continued to stare at the blonde maid, her grip only loosening for a fraction before it released Morgan entirely. Cassandra removed herself entirely from the blonde and all but dispersed into multiple bugs, leaving the armory under the door and abandoning Morgan to her own thoughts.

..

.

Guess that was it.

Morgan had waited for the brunette to return, unsure on how to react to the Brunette’s sudden departure, but Cassandra never returned. Even when Morgan eventually left the armory and returned to the staff quarters for the evening meal and eventually for bed, Cassandra never reappeared to finish what she had started. Morgan had only learnt the following morning that Cassandra had not attended dinner with her family that night and did not even join her sister for an evening hunt afterwards. She had all but shut herself in her room and refused to come out, not even obeying her mother when Lady Dimitrescu eventually arrived at her bedroom door and commanded her to leave her room.

For the following few weeks, Castle Dimitrescu was probably at its most peaceful state because no maids were hacked in the hallways or dragged down to the dungeon for a drawn-out death. The only one responsible for any of the maid’s deaths was Lady Daniela, the redheaded vampire getting lost in one of her delusions again which Raya eventually managed to get her out of, a saving grace for all the maids as they all literally hid in whatever room they were closest to when Daniela was on the prowl. Raya had become a saving grace to the maids, and yet she still became one of the latest targets of the cruel pranks by some of the maids. But the human redhead did not seem to mind, in fact, she smiled every time, which was probably as terrifying as Daniela roaming the castle in one of her delusions.

Raya was a girl to watch out for, and yet a friend most worthwhile to the blonde, which Morgan appreciated since she had not seen Cassandra ever since that day in her armory.

Morgan won’t lie and say that she didn’t miss the brunette because she did. She had gotten so used to being pounced on during her shifts, being slammed against a wall and having her neck and lips covered with bites and kisses. She missed the teasing cackles of the brunette when she had the blonde maid in her arms, and she missed the way Cassandra touched her, be it a teasing touch along her sides or a firmer one with biting nails whenever she would grip the blonde by the neck or hair.

She just missed Cassandra, and there was no way for her to reach the brunette as the middle Dimitrescu seemed to make herself unavailable to everyone. The only times Morgan had seen her was at mealtimes when she was on dinner duty, and even then, the brunette refused to look at her, even though Morgan knew that Cassandra noticed her presence.

Morgan sighed to herself as she cleaned the one of many blades which Casandra had in her armory, it being her assigned duty ever since Cassandra took a…liking to Morgan. Cassandra usually tended to her own weapons, but she would have some of the maids knowledgeable about blades tend to her armory, and sense Morgan knew her way around weapons, she was automatically assigned to it. Although the room just brought back memories from the month before, the last time she properly interacted with Cassandra being in this room.

The brunette was getting harder to read and it did not help that Morgan could not speak to her or find out what was on her mind. Although she would not expect Cassandra to answer her anyway since the brunette was probably one of the worst conversationalists in the world. Cassandra did not talk about her feelings, and she most certainly would not talk about her feelings to someone like Morgan.

The blonde sighed again. Guess it was just going to be a hopelessly dull time in this armory with nothing but blades to keep her company…that is until she heard a buzzing sound.

Morgan whirled around when she heard the familiar buzzing and couldn’t help but stare in shock when the thousands of flying bugs morphed together and revealed Cassandra, the brunette almost surprised to see the blonde but she quickly masked the surprise with a blank expression. Both women stared at one another, neither saying a word nor moving a muscle. It has been a while since Morgan has been this close to the vampire, so she couldn’t help but eye the brunette head to toe, taking in her gorgeous appearance before returning to the brunette’s face, eventually realizing that Cassandra had been doing the same to the blonde.

..

.

“I can go if you want.” Morgan eventually started, her head turning away from Cassandra as she turned to look at the many blades that she still had yet to polish. “I can come by later once you are done-“

Morgan wasn’t able to finish her sentence as she was suddenly pressed against the table, a gasp leaving her lips before she was spun around and then lifted on the table, Cassandra immediately moving to stand in between her legs. Morgan’s hands immediately went to Cassandra’s shoulders, prepping themselves to push the brunette away if she invaded her space any further, but surprisingly the brunette did not move any closer to the blonde. She instead stood in place and stared into Morgan’s eyes, her hands on the blonde’s hips, unmoving and unwilling to let go as she squeezed the blonde’s hips.

“Don’t move.” Cassandra said, her golden eyes steely sharp like the blades that surrounded them in the room. She released one hand from Morgan’s hip and moved it to dig into her robes, golden eyes refusing to leave Morgan’s until she finally revealed what she had been searching for.

A knife.

Morgan eyes the knife warily. It looked sharp, expensively sharp. It certainly looked newer than the other blades that were armory. It was very well-known that Cassandra adored collecting weapons, the Duke making a profit from the Dimitrescus due to Cassandra’s hobby, so it was hardly new to see the brunette with a new blade. But it was odd that Cassandra had adjusted her grip so that she was holding the blade and offering the handle to Morgan, almost…expecting her to take it.

“Take it.” She ordered; her voice surprisingly soft despite the command.

Not daring to disobey her, Morgan reached out and took it, only to be taken by surprise with how light it felt in her hands. Morgan was not as obsessed with weapons as Cassandra, but she could admire good handiwork, and she couldn’t help but stare in awe at how perfect it felt in her hands. It was almost as if it was made for her, as if it was specifically designed to match Morgan’s hand and grip. The blade was silver and had several delicate engravings along its body, Morgan eyed them cautiously, only to pause when she noticed a subtle and yet obvious graving near the edge of the handle before continuing to the actual blade of the knife.

C&M

Morgan stared at the engraved initials wide-eyed, not realizing that Cassandra had been eyeing her reaction closely until she felt a hand on her jaw, forcing her to look away from the engravings to lock eyes with the golden ones that have always haunted her dreams.

“Is that proof enough.” Cassandra murmured, her eyes glancing down at Morgan’s lips before returning to her eyes again. “That you are not just another fuck to me?”

“…” Morgan was unable to say anything, her jaw slack, and her eyes wide as she stared at Cassandra in shock. The brunette stared at her intensely before she glanced at the knife that laid on the blonde’s lap between the two of them.

“I’ve never given any of them their own weapon. Surely this is enough, right?” Cassandra looked back at Morgan, her thumb moving it press itself against Morgan’s lower lip. She pressed it and released it before returning it to its previous position against Morgan’s jaw. “Right?”

..

.

Morgan could only respond with a kiss, it being the only way that she could convey her feeling of acceptance and relief at Cassandra’s action of faithfulness towards Morgan. The brunette eagerly reciprocated the kiss, wrapping her arms tightly around the blonde maid before she deepened it, pulling Morgan into an intense game that both women were very familiar with.

While others would not believe that Cassandra gifting her a personalized knife was an act of faithfulness, Morgan knew better. The brunette did not easily get attached, and the fact that she was willing enough to construct a knife for Morgan, a weapon which maids were not allowed to have, was proof enough that she did not see Morgan as a toy that was easily replaceable. She grew attached to the blonde, just as Morgan had grown attached to her, and Morgan knew that the brunette’s faithfulness would go a long way, especially since Morgan seemed to be the first to ever make Cassandra review her actions before continuing with her interest with Morgan.

Daniela Dimitrescu

Daniela was a faithful sweetheart to Raya, and nobody could deny how much the redhead adored her little human, even though nobody could discover the reason behind her obvious adoration and faithfulness to the redheaded human.

Compared to what she was forced to experience in her own village, the treatment that she received at the castle was heavenly. Daniela refused to allow the redhead to leave her room when she first arrived, becoming obsessed with the warmth that Raya provided her, especially during the cold winter nights when the horrid winter wind smashed against the castle and sent its freeing arms through the corridors, reaching all living creatures within.

If one needed to find Daniela, the first thing that one would look for would be Raya because Daniela was practically glued to the human redhead’s side, almost to the extent that you’d swear that you saw one person with two heads, but then one could quickly realize who was who, since Daniela had the nasty habit of never wiping her face clean from her meals. But it was a good thing that she had Raya because the maid always tended to Daniela in any way she could, always having a smile on her face as she would gently rub the blood off Daniela’s mouth and chin, holding the vampire in place with a soft hand cradling the back of her head.

Even though she had only seen the best of Daniela when she arrived at the castle, being spoilt endlessly by the redhead, it did not take long for Raya to learn of Daniela’s reputation in the castle when she was eventually allowed to meet with the other maids. Daniela was so possessive of her, wanting her to remain in her room for all eternity, but eventually her mother made her release the human redhead into the working staff. Even if she was to become Daniela’s new pet, she could not do nothing and eat all the food which Lady Dimitrescu had assigned for the staff. Raya needed to earn her keep just like everyone else, but it was very well established that not one hair of harm was to come to Raya unless you wanted to be met with a very slow and painful death.

Of course, no one dared to lay a hand on Raya, especially since she was the favorite pet of the youngest and most delusional Dimitrescu daughter. Raya arriving to the castle was perhaps the best thing that happened to all of them because it meant that there was finally someone capable of reigning in the redhead from her many delusions, but that did not mean that Raya had been met with kindness when she joined the ranks of the working staff.

Perhaps it was out of concern or vindictiveness, but the maids had ensured that Raya had found out about the reputation that Daniela had in the castle, particularly with the pretty maids which had the unfortunate luck of having Daniela becoming attached to them. The vampire redhead had a weakness for pretty things, particularly pretty women, and the poor redhead simply had an overactive imagination which was very harmful to the maids.

Daniela was a hopeless romantic, and she simply adored the idea of having so many people fawn over her, and so the maids had to play a certain part to keep the youngest Dimitrescu happy. Daniela adored playing games with the maids, but these games were always deadly because no one quite knew what was going through the redhead’s mind until it was too late. Either you were dragged off to her bedroom for a night of passion, or to the dungeon where she would punish you for not playing the game correctly.

The maids thought that it was only right for Raya to know just what kind of future she was going to have with having Daniela attached to her like a leech, but shockingly enough, Raya did not seem to mind it. In fact, she smiled at the future that was promised to her if she chose to remain by Daniela’s side. It was everything that she had only hoped to have.

Daniela simply was so loving, so affectionate, so…everything.

Raya was so unused to being wanted by someone, to be craved so desperately that it was almost as if Daniela would die if she did not have Raya in her arms. Raya never had the opportunity to care for anything, her family depriving her of any sort of companion or pet, the closest that Raya ever had being a rat that used to find refuge in her home, but even then she lost the poor creature when her father shot it with a shotgun before blazing his wrath at Raya for allowing such a beast in the house in the first place.

Daniela was nothing like that rat. She was like a little kitten constantly mewling for attention. Even when Raya started working with the staff, Daniela always kidnapped her in some kind of way to wrap her up in her arms and spend countless hours simply ranting and raving about whatever was on her mind. The two of them have spent countless of hours just talking, the vampire redhead hugging Raya tightly to her as they spoke and cuddled, giggling constantly as her hands would venture all over Raya’s body, experimentally touching and squeezing parts of Raya’s body with an almost childish curiosity. Her eyes always lit up whenever Raya made a pleased sound from her touch, encouraging her to repeat the action until Raya was becoming breathless and flustered from the touches.

Even though Raya had started out as a pet, it did not take long for the two redheads to become lovers, Raya matching the perfect depiction that Daniela had for a lover in her head while Daniela simply had become everything that Raya wanted and needed from a person. Raya saw a humanity in Daniela that nobody else saw while Daniela saw an endless amount love and passion in Raya that she simply craved to have in a partner. Somehow, the two of them had become the perfect match for the other, proving that destiny truly was real because the two of them were always meant to come together.

Raya couldn’t help but giggle at Daniela’s touch as she washed the redhead’s body in her very large bathtub, the two of them equally naked but their bare bodies were hidden from one another due the excess amount of bubbles floating on the watery surface. It was an evening ritual for the two of them to bathe with one another, it being an activity which was never missed, not even if the two of them had the odd disagreement.

The two of them hardly ever fought, both of them too in love with one another to pick a needless fight, but when they did argue, it often resulted in a dramatic exit by Daniela with hours of wailing and furious slicing up of something before she came down. Raya never cried or screamed; it was almost as if she was unaffected by the hurled screams that Daniela would throw her way. She would simply wait patiently until the  youngest Dimitrescu returned to her, willing for the two of them to have another conversation which would lead to them both apologizing to one another.

Most would say that Raya was the more mature one between the two of them despite Daniela being obviously the older one, which was saying something since Raya had a child-like mind at times. Raya had an eerie positivity about her which frightened the other maids. She was unaffected by most things, even by the constant butchering of people and maids in the castle. Daniela had once sliced a maid down the middle of her abdomen in front of Raya, and yet the redhead did not batter an eyelash. She instead threaded her fingers in Daniela’s hair and massaged her scalp before whispering a few words in the redhead’s hair to calm her down before leading the two of them away from the scene.

Raya did not get easily affected by things because she had experienced the worst of the worst. The things that Daniela and her sisters did in the castle were nothing compared to what Raya had seen and has been put through. The Dimitrescu’s fear tactics did not work on her, perhaps contributing to the belief that she was the more mature redhead between her and Daniela, but in private moments such as this, Raya’s childish side easily came out as she turned in Daniela’s arms to tickle the redhead in return, Daniela’s giggling increasing in volume.

“Stop!” Daniela giggled, pushing herself backwards in the bath to only be followed by Raya, the young maid smiling widely before increasing her tickling attack by pinning Daniela’s legs down with her body wait before wrapping her arms around Daniela’s body and tickling her, face pressed in the redhead’s neck.

“Never!”

Daniela wiggled and squirmed in Raya’s playful grip, her own hands clutching at Raya’s back as she continued to tickle her. While her words told Raya to stop, her body told Raya to continue, and so the childish part of Raya continued until Daniela eventually did have enough and easily swapped the positions so that Raya was pressed against the edge of the tub with Daniela pinning her body down with her own body. Daniela smiled widely at her.

 “I win.”

Raya didn’t even have the chance to argue before she was met with Daniela’s lips, the redhead’s tongue easily slipping past Raya’s lips and meeting her tongue. Raya hummed and immediately wrapped her arms around Daniela’s neck, one of her hands slipping into the wet, red locks that were still slightly soapy from the bubbles they were wrestling through. The two of them were obsessed with each other’s taste, kisses being very common to the two of them to the extent that Bela had once found a spray bottle and literally sprayed the two of them when they were caught kissing against one of the walls in the castle.

Daniela had hissed like a cat, which caused Bela to spray her again before she all but ordered Raya away so that she could get some control over her younger sister. Raya was then met with Cassandra later on, the brunette finding it hysterical that Raya had caused her younger sister to be sprayed at like an animal. Even though Raya was aware of Cassandra’s ruthless reputation in the castle, the two of them had formed a sort of friendship which could not be explained. Even Morgan, Cassandra’s girlfriend, could not understand how Raya had formed a friendship with Cassandra, but it was just a mystery that nobody would ever unravel.

Daniela’s lips were relentless against Raya’s, wanting to completely consume the redhead on more ways than one. Raya couldn’t help but smile into the kiss and open herself up entirely to Daniela, allowing the youngest Dimitrescu to smother her with the attention that she desired until she eventually remembered that Raya needed to breathe. Daniela couldn’t help but giggle childishly as Raya panted for breath, pressing pretty kisses to Raya’s forehead, temple, and cheek before finally tugging Raya back into her arms and leading the two of them back into the center of the bathtub.

Daniela then proceeded to continue washing Raya as she had previously been doing with Raya obediently staying in place, but the two of them did continue to give each other random pecks throughout the rest of the bath, giggling like young schoolgirls each time. Once they finished bathing one another and had another round of intense kisses, Daniela carried Raya out from the bath like a princess and carried her to her bedroom, peppering the young maid with neck kisses before drying her off with a clean bath towel. Raya made sure to return the favor, playfully ruffling up Daniela’s hair as she dried it with the towel before stealing a kiss, a childlike smile shaping Daniela’s face as her golden eyes lit up playfully.

Once they dressed into their respective night clothing, Daniela picked up Raya once again and carried her to her bed where she proceeded to smother Raya in kisses, the redheaded maid more than willing to be recipient of such passionate kisses, her finger twisting into Daniela’s hair while the youngest Dimitrescu lay right on top of the maid.

Time in Daniela’s room always seemed to be frozen, Raya not wanting to be anywhere else except in Daniela’s arms, the redheaded vampire sharing the sentiment as she had chosen to stay behind in the castle while her sisters had gone out hunting. The three sisters almost always went hunting together, it being the one hobby which all of them bonded over; however tonight Daniela desired to be with Raya instead. It was one of the things which Daniela did which showed her faithfulness to Raya.

Even though Daniela adored hunting with her sisters, she preferred sticking to her nightly routine with Raya than to possibly slice down poor unsuspecting travelers in the woods. She preferred Raya’s company and presence over that of her sisters in that moment, which made the redhead adore the vampire even more than she already did, the reminder of her lover’s faithfulness making Raya push against Daniela to allow her to roll the two of them over, swapping positions so that it was now Raya on top of the youngest Dimitrescu. Raya smiled widely before giving Daniela a playful bite on her lower lip.

“I love you.” She confessed, the words easily leaving the redhead’s lips as it was something that she often confessed. And as usual, Daniela’s eyes lit up brightly, a wide smile beaming at the maid before Daniela tugged Raya’s head back down by the neck.

“I love you too.” She replied before pressing her lips against Raya’s again, immediately moaning into it when Raya’s tongue met with her own.

The kiss between the two of them began to deepen quickly, hands getting adventurous as they began to slide under each other’s clothes and tracing soft and sensitive skin. But before things could get any further, the youngest Dimitrescu’s name was bellowed from downstairs.

“Daniela Dimitrescu! Come see what we got!”

Cassandra’s voice paused the intense kissing between the two redheads, Raya pulling away from Daniela to glance at the door, the vampire whining underneath the maid as she flexed her fingers against Raya’s neck.

“Ignore her.” Daniela said, only to be interpreted by Cassandra’s voice again.

“And don’t even think about ignoring us! Either you come down or we will come up!”

Daniela groaned before pouting at Raya, dismay obvious in her eyes as she did not want to end her kissing session with Raya. The maid giggled before leaning down to press a kiss to Daniela’s lips before pulling away again, not wanting to entice Daniela to ignore her sister’s words.

“Come on honey.” she said sweetly before pulling away entirely from her redheaded lover, the vampire whining for a few more seconds before finally getting up from her bed.

Raya quickly wrapped herself in one of Daniela’s night gowns before offering another to Daniela, the redhead thanking her with a kiss before entwining their fingers together and walking out of her bedroom and heading in the direction of Cassandra’s voice. The middle Dimitrescu’s voice was echoing in the castle, along with the whimpers of people which Raya eventually realized belong to a man and woman which was laying on the marble floor at the entrance of the castle.

Bela and Cassandra were dressed in their dark hunting robes, both with bloody faces and gleaming sickles, each having one in the thigh of one of the victims they had brought home. When Cassandra caught sight of her younger sister and Raya, she smiled widely.

“You missed out on a lot Dani, we came across a whole caravan. Hmmm, it was delicious. Right Bela?”

Bela cocked her head at her younger sister before turning to Daniela, a lazy smile crawling along her face.

“Yes, it was quite the feast. It’s a shame that you decided to forgo tonight.”

“Nah not really, it was more for us.” Cassandra quipped, cackling before she tugged at her sickle stuck in the man’s thigh. He screamed at the action, making Cassandra cackle even harder. “I haven’t cut open a man in a while. So many things I can do to you…”

“Don’t take all the fun Cassandra, at least offer him to Daniela.” Bela said, sending a scolding look at her younger sister. Cassandra scowled and glared at Bela.

“Why the hell should I do that? She is the one who decided to stay and play hooky with her girlfriend!”

“Right!” Daniela suddenly decided to quip in, both redheads reaching the bottom of the stairs. Daniela wrapped her arms tightly around Raya and nuzzled her face in Raya’s neck. “We had our bath!”

“Oh yes, a nice sexy bath over a time of fun with your sister. Oh, to know where we are in the hierarchy of Daniela.”

Daniela pulled her face away from Raya’s neck and gave a stern look to Cassandra, the brunette not reacting it at all as she seemed as intimidating as an angry puppy.

“No sex. Just bathing. And kissing.” She said before leaning in to press a kiss to Raya’s jaw, making the maid smile. Cassandra pretended to gag, making Bela turn to her with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh please, that is tame compared to what I have walked in on between you and Morgan.”

At the mention of her girlfriend, Cassandra grinned, and she lifted her head to gaze at her older sister, her eyes glinting mischievously.

“You peeking on me dear sister?”

“I would hardly call it peeking when it is in a public space.”

“So, you were peeking.”

“Don’t be absurd.”

“Aww, missing perfect Bela peeking on her younger sister. What a perverted nature. Mother will be so disappointed.”

“Listen here you little-“

“Can we leave now?” Daniela interrupted, her eyes tightening around Raya as she watched her older sisters bicker with one another. “We want to go to bed.”

“More like you want to-“ Bela slammed her hand into Cassandra’s face to stop her from talking, the brunette taking a threatening bite at her older sister’s hand before she received a second slap to the face from the blonde.

“Are you not interested in playing with our leftovers? We kept a pretty one just for you.” Bela said, nodding towards the weeping woman on the floor with Bela’s sickle piercing her thigh.

Raya glanced at the woman on the floor. She couldn’t deny her beauty. Even though she looked bloody and bruised all over, she had dark, majestic hair and sharp features which almost made her appear noble-like, like a woman of high class, except her social status was highlighted with the ragged clothing she was wearing, half it stained with blood. Whether it was her own blood or the blood of her friends who were butchered by the two Dimitrescu sisters, Raya did not know. But she noticed the woman caught Daniela’s attention, the redhead humming from her shoulder as she turned her head to gaze at the woman on the floor.

..

.

“Raya’s prettier.” She suddenly announced, her grip tightening around the redhead before returning her face back to the maid’s neck, pressing a kiss to the skin before nuzzling it. A smile immediately plastered Raya’s face, along with a small flush to her cheeks.

“Aww honey.” Raya cooed, turning her head to face the redhead, only to hear Cassandra gag again and Bela sigh in irritation.

“Grow up Cassandra.”

“I can’t help it; the words were too sweet.”

“I have literally heard you call your little pet ‘sex on a stick’.”

“And your point is…”

Bela groaned in frustration before shaking her head. She glanced back at the two redheads before shrugging.

“Your loss then.” She said before finally dispersing into bugs and dragging the screaming woman by the sickle in her thigh, heading in the direction of the dungeons.

“Hey, wait for me!” Cassandra bellowed before dispersing into bugs too, quickly giving chase to her sister with the man in tow, both his screams and the woman’s travelling through the castle corridors until they eventually faded away, the slam of the dungeon door being the barrier of the sound.

..

.

Raya felt a kiss press itself to her jaw, prompting her to turn her head to see Daniela gazing at her from her shoulder, her chin resting on it as she gazed at the maid with hopeful eyes.

“Back to bed?” She asked sweetly, making Raya smile. She nodded.

“Back to bed.” She confirmed, leaning in to press a kiss to Daniela’s forehead before allowing herself to be led back to the redhead’s bedroom to continue their earlier activities.

Daniela’s faithfulness to Raya became almost obvious when the redhead arrived at the castle. The redhead no longer became lost in her fantasies with other maids, instead Raya became lost with her. Raya became the center of every fantasy and reality that was presented to Daniela. Daniela demonstrated her faithfulness constantly through preferring Raya’s company over anyone else, even her own sisters and mother at times, although she is being forced to work on it, much to her reluctance. Raya had become everything to Daniela just as Daniela became everything to Raya, and she continued to display her faithfulness to Raya in every possible moment.
