“ kacchan ! kacchan! “ kaminari yells out in the common room, trying to get his friend’s attention but gets ignored in return. “ oh kacchan ~ “ he says once more but hell breaks loose.
bakugou is chasing the dunce face and popping explosions left to right. “ stop calling me that stupid nickname !! “ he yells, almost grabbing denki’s shirt collar.
denki stops to laugh once he’s at a safe distance. holding his stomach and pointing at the explosive boy, bakugou rockets to him and explodes his face. “ i told you not to call me that “ he yells between punches. he left the boy in his idiotic form and walked away.

a project was due in a couple days and midoriya and bakugou need to edit their rough draft and start their official paper. midoriya, feeling productive and wanting to finish this early, goes over to bakugou and tells him to finish their assignment with him. bakugou ignores hoping he would go away but it’s midoriya, he knows he wouldn’t leave.
“ kacchan, kacchan, kacchan “ midoriya says to annoy him. the two had gotten closer so bakugou was used to this. his limit until the bomb explodes was 18 kacchans in a row.
wanna know what midoriya did ? he said kacchan 18 times but bakugou let that slide until...
“ kachaaaaaaannnnnn “ ( okay, i might’ve exaggerated on the kacchan but he dragged the name really long )
boom.
“ SHITTY DEKU STOP SAYING MY NAME ITS ANNOYING “ the explosion went off, he yelled at midoriya who was used to his outburst and didn’t say or do anything.
“ KEEP SAYING MY NAME, ILL BLAST YOU TO THE SUN YOU HEAR ME ??! “ midoriya’s eyes widened in realization to what bakugou had just said.
“ y-your name ? “ he asks, internally screaming.
“ yes my name what other name do you call me ? “
midoriya let the silence speak for him but after a while, he started squealing a lot.
“ what’s up with you “ bakugou asked, truly confused.
“ your name. you think kacchan is your name ? “ midoriya was smiling bigger and brighter than ever. the realization hit bakugou.
the nerd had called him kacchan for so long, it’s only right to consider it a name at this point.
he scoffs and walks off, allowing that to answer his question.
“ kacchan thinks kacchan is his naame “ midoriya sings quietly, oh gosh he’s never gonna let that go.
