"All set?"
"Everything should go according to plan...."
Kazuha pulled Scaramouche towards their next ride. Scaramouche was out of breath from screaming his lungs out in utter fear. He had always been afraid of rollercoasters, which Kazuha quickly learned to tease him about. He practically forced his navy haired boyfriend onto all his favorite rides, secretly attempting to get him clinging to his side.
"Another one? Are you trying to piss me off?" He scowled. Kazuha giggled in response.
"Come on.... just one more, I promise." He pleaded, making a sad face and holding his hands in a praying position. Scaramouche stared at him, straight faced and unfazed.
"Plea-"
"Fine. If it'll make you shut up, then fine."
A blush slowly crept to his face as he spoke, rolling his eyes as the words left his tongue. Kazuha clapped in pleasure and grabbed onto Scaramouche's hand once more. They walked towards the ferris wheel. Scaramouche sighed in relief; finally a slow paced ride that he wouldn't be scared to death on.
While Scaramouche was lost in his thoughts of relief, Kazuha shot quick glances towards Gorou and Kokomi, who sat on a ferris wherl seat in front of the one they had planned for Kazuha and Scaramouche to sit in. The two shot him a smile and Kazuha's heart skipped a beat in excitement.
They were next in line. Ayaka, who was running the ferris wheel, led them into their seat, giving Kazuha a wink in the process. Kazuha sat next to Scaramouche, knowing of his fear of rides and wanting to be close to him. Unexpectedly, he felt fingers snaking in between his own as Scara held his hand. Kazuha looked up at him and laughed quietly. Scaramouche rolled his eyes and looked away.
"Kuni..." He used his real name every once in a while, which tugged at the navy haired boy's heart.
"What," He replied.
"Isn't this one alright? It's not fast or loopy or-"
"Yes. It's better." Scaramouche said quickly. He was trying his best to hide the fact that he was still nervous. They were nearing the top, and he also was afraid of heights. Kazuha's brows furrowed in confusion and he turned his head slightly, trying to understand the boy's feelings.
As they neared the top of the ferris wheel, Scaramouche began to tremble a little more noticeably.
"Hey," Kazuha started, "Don't look at the ground, it'll only frighten you more."
"I-I'm not scared, idiot!" He said, before a small hand reached up to his cheek.
It was time.
Kazuha looked around briefly, tuning in his keen hearing to listen in on the fireworks starting up. Thoma and Yoimiya had contributed to the plan by setting up fireworks that were to go off when the two reached the peak of the ride.
Kazuha moved his hand to Scara's chin, slightly lifting it as he leaned his face in just a bit. A blush was rushing to Scaramouche's face as his eyes widened.
"What are you-" He began to say, before closing his mouth and moving his own hand to Kazuha's waist. Kazuha smile gently and finally broke the space between them. He carefully pressed his lips onto Scaramouche's. The sound of crackling erupted into the air. After few moments of their kiss, they pulled away. Scaramouche curiously looked into the sky. His jaw opened in awe of the fireworks bursting around them. He couldn't resist the smile creeping to his mouth.
"Pretty..." He said under his breath.
"You know what else I would call pretty?" Kazuha said, trying not to laugh at the cheesiness of his sentence. Scaramouche glanced towards him with a questioning expression.
"You. You are pretty, Kunikuzushi." Scaramouche could only shake his head in amusement.
"You need to be quiet." He replied. He then pulled Kazuha's face to his own and kissed him once more. He felt a smile against his lips, and a loud heart beat drumming in his chest.
