"Don't be late, Lixie!"
"I won't!" giggles the freckled boy as he loads up the last few bundles of herbs and flowers into the baskets of his bike.
Each bundle has its own little ribbon holding it together. It was Felix's idea, makes them prettier. It suits his bike more which he decorated with various bows, ribbons, beads, and sparkles.
Every week he bikes through their nearby village and delivers its residents their orders. Usually, they already await him when he enters their living space, surrounded by a forest with huge trees and treehouses hanging up high. There are also some hidden coves under the leaves at the bottom, and tiny huts are scattered close to the pathway.
Even those that hadn't ordered anything from The Lee's go outside to greet him and chatter when he passes by, or buy some of the herbs Felix has leftover. He always makes sure to bring more than needed to please everyone.
"I'll get going now!" he shouts in hopes that Minho hears him all the way back at the crops.
He loves this. The sun just started to peek over the horizon, fresh wind after a rainy night softly hits his face and passes through his hair as he admires his surroundings.
Wherever he casts his eyes, he sees meadows upon meadows, tall grass, and plenty of wildlife. The occasional butterfly crosses paths with him and rides in his basket until it seems to have reached its destination. The younger giggles as he waves softly at the bright yellow butterfly in goodbye.
Once he reaches his first stop he can already see a few people talking with their neighbors and friends while they wait for his arrival. Felix slows down and gets off his bike to walk along the path leading through the village.
"Hello, dear! It's lovely to see you" one of them greets him, a kind old lady.
Felix smiles brightly in greeting and after a little small talk hands over her order. Like this, he moves from house to house. Chatter fills the warm summer air as the village starts to wake up and more inhabitants get ready for their day.
A group of kids approach Felix, and ask if they can put flowers they picked in his hair. He kneels down to match their height and once they're done, he leaves with a smile on his face and flowers adorning his soft blonde locks.
The sun shines through the leaves of the trees and casts light beams across the village as he approaches his last stop for the day, Dandy Potions.
Felix leans his bike against the tree next to the shop and takes his basket before he enters. A soft jingle rings through the hut as the opening door hits the bell hanging above it.
"Delivery for a Kim Seungmin!" he shouts through the whole room and skips to the counter.
"Oh what a delight to see you, Mr. Lee! I was already awaiting your arrival" the other retorts playfully and laughs at their little roleplay.
"I am pleased to hear that! I have your fresh herbs, picked them up myself this morning!" the freckled boy grins and puts them down on the counter. "Sage, chamomile, mugwort, lavender, and rue! That should be all if I'm not mistaken"
Seungmin looks them over before he nods approvingly and smiles at the blonde boy, letting go of their little act "Thank you, Felix"
"Any time!" he giggles. His smile can light up an entire room and judging by how Seungmin can't take his eyes off his boyfriend, it seems to work.
"Your hair looks lovely, flowerboy"
"Thank you! Some kids put them in, aren't they cute!" he beams.
"They are, just like you" Seungmin looks at him fondly.
They exchange soft pecks before Seungmin catches a whiff of the other's scent.
"You smell nice today, baby. Like sunflowers"
The younger hums "I always smell like sunflowers, dummy"
"I know and I love it" the younger walks around the counter and takes Felix into his embrace and they stay like this for a little. Just enjoying the bright weather and each other's presence.
After a couple of minutes have passed they sneak in another kiss before they part.
"Don't think that just because we're all lovey-dovey now, you won't have to pay for your order" a mischievous expression crosses his features.
"Hey, is the boyfriend discount not larger than the best friend discount?" Seungmin teases, arms folded and his chin high.
"Well, if you can’t pay this very hardworking delivery boy, then you won’t get any herbs. And you don't want to disappoint your customers and not be able to provide them their potions, do you?" Felix grins at him smugly.
"Also! You already get a discount! If I give you another, Minho will prohibit me from baking for a week again and you know how much I love to bake!" he now pouts at him.
Seungmin sighs dramatically "I guess I will have to pay then, I love your brownies after all"
Felix beams at him, "I'll make another batch just for you!"
The older grabs his basket off the counter once Seungmin pays, and plants a kiss on his cheek. He heads towards the door and shouts an exaggerated "I love you!" in the other's direction before heading out. Felix takes his bike and makes his way home, looking forward to the next delivery.
