Chapter Text
DAY 1
From this point on, this journal is now Sentinel Jarro Lightfeather AKA Ezreal Lymere’s journal of observations for Camavor! I went ahead and asked Senna and Lucian if I could explore that realm that Viego guy brought them to. They were a bit hesitant, but Gwen reassured them that I wouldn’t cause any trouble or accidentally revive Viego.
Trust me, it won’t happen. Her needles are unmovable. I tried before when we were sparring.
But yeah, they agreed to let me go there so long as I don’t stay there for too long and come back home at least once or twice a week and leave alone any cool stuff I find. Senna and Lucian are REALLY overprotective of me.
As for supplies, I’ll be bringing the usual. Rope, some pomade, provisions that Senna and Lucian gave me, and a little nifty recorder that I bought in Piltover! If I feel too tired to write, I’ll just start talking into it.
I’ll be heading out to Camavor tomorrow. Gwen offered to open a portal to Camavor for me, so I’ll go ahead and ask her.

DAY 2
We have now arrived in Camavor! The air is fresh and the sky is a nice bright blue. The outside of the kingdom is just a grass plain as far as I can tell. Currently, I’m inside of Viego’s castle. I’m gonna use today to set up a place to rest. I decided to check up on our Ruined King here and it doesn’t look like he’s moving at all. He’s still making the same face he did when Gwen sealed him there. Notable differences are the lack of a crown and ominous triangle chest hole. There’s also a broken music box right next to the circle. Looks like it has a figure of him and whoever his wife was.
I’ll look around the big castle itself once I’ve explored the rest of Camavor. Leave the best for last, y’know?
But for now, I’m setting up camp in the castle. Riiiight in front of Viego.
I don’t know. The light coming from the circle of needles feels pretty nice. And it’s not like I wanna camp out in some random creepy part of the castle, yeah? Besides, I doubt Viego can do anything in his current state, even if he came back to life. Sure, the mist isn’t gone, but Thresh is probably a bigger threat.
Enough about Viego though. I need to unpack all this stuff Senna and Lucian had me carry. Lucian lectured me about bringing too little stuff to explore with. Said he was even amazed I was surviving all these incidents in the ruins I’ve been to. Pffft, and he says that as if my parents weren’t the greatest explorers alive in Piltover… plus he forgets how useful my gauntlet is! Granted, I haven’t been able to go super far distances with it, but still!
Anyways, I should set up a small fire. Not on the carpet of course, it’s still a good carpet… somehow.
I don’t know, this Camavor place is weird.
Let’s leave the rest for tomorrow.

DAY 3
Good morning to Viego and good morning to this journal! I ate some of the rations Senna and Lucian gave me. Pretty good! Once I get outside, I’m gonna be walking around the buildings closest to the castle. I wanna see if there’s anything inside!
Definitely not to see if I could just snatch a few things. No way. I’m a good guy who’d never tell a lie.
Yeah, I wanted to see if I could just take one thing.
I am now outside and on the streets within the kingdom walls! The buildings closest to the castle are pretty elaborate and surprisingly clean. I’m inside one of them right now, and I think I walked into a bakery. There’s a bunch of bread, cake, and baked sweets in the display cases and on the shelves, but no bakers. I can’t tell how fresh this stuff is, but I guess I can just tell Senna and Lucian I don’t need rations. I mean, considering it’s been a few months or so since we beat up Viego, I’d say this food is safe to consume if it’s just been sitting here this entire time.
In fact, I haven’t seen any birds here yet. Not even flies, butterflies, spiders, you name it. So I guess that’s something to take note of.
Moving onto the next building, I came across what looks like a restaurant. Everything’s squeaky clean in here! Even the floor is nice and clean. Looks like somewhere rich people would go to eat their fill. There’s so many chandeliers. It’s a huge restaurant, too.
Again, there were some plates of food in the kitchen, but there’s no staff. There’s some order tickets scattered on the counters.
I’m guessing the area around the outside of the castle is a shopping district. I’ve come across a bunch of stores in this area, most likely meant for higher class citizens. There’s some shops with REALLY elaborate clothing in the store window, among other things. Everything here is quiet and empty though, no living beings save for Viego (if you even want to count him as one in his current state).
See, that’s the pattern with all of these buildings. They’re all devoid of people, insects, hell, even dust! But everything is in perfect condition. Makes me think this kingdom is practically in a permanent stasis.
Perfect world for a perfect wife, I guess. God knows how Viego even managed to bring this whole kingdom back.
I can’t really note any other interesting stores other than a shop full of antiques at one end of the district.
I may or may not have taken an antique from there. It may or may not have been a very nice clock.
I’ll just pretend I never did that.
It’s getting dark out, so I’m gonna head back to the castle, eat, and then sleep. I’ll move onto the next district of the kingdom tomorrow.

[A tape has been attached to this page. The following transcript describes the events recorded within the tape.]
EZREAL: Alright, night two of sleeping here! Gwen’s circle is still here and Viego is still restrained within it. Just like everything in this kingdom, he’s in permanent stasis.
[Crunching and lip smacking can be heard.]
EZREAL, mouth full: Oh, don’t mind me. I’m just- I decided to take the bread from the bakery I mentioned and try it. Gimme a sec-
[A moment of silence while he swallows his bite.]
EZREAL: Tastes pretty good. It’s not even stale at all, after what I can only assume was a month of sitting on an open shelf. Camavor defies the laws of nature, I guess.
[There is more silence, save for crunching noises from Ezreal eating the rest of the bread and some of his rations.]
EZREAL: Whew, feelin’ good. Y’know, I’m real tempted to take the music box next to Viego’s little magic prison cell. It looks very high quality… but it’s damaged. I doubt anyone would actually take it in this state unless they want to repair it. So I’m just gonna leave it there, as much as I’d love to haul it back with me.
[There is audible shuffling.]
EZREAL: Okay, I’m not even talking about Camavor itself anymore. Actually, was I even talking about Camavor in the first place? Whatever, I’m tired. Sentinel Jarro Lightfeather calling it for tonight. Goodnight, Camavor, and goodnight, Ruined King.
[The tape ends.]

DAY 4
Good morning again! I decided to wake up a bit earlier. As per usual, Viego is still in stasis. I always gotta check every morning, just in case he breaks free and tries to kill me or something.
I’m not usually this careful about explorations, to be honest. I guess I decided to change that up for Senna and Lucian’s sake. They’re always so protective of me. Or maybe I’m just worried because I already saw Viego screw Senna and Gwen up and don’t want that to happen to me. Maybe the latter, considering I’ve got the ego and self importance of a typical Piltovan. Always the center of the world...
Nevermind that, I’m in the second section of the kingdom. There’s some residential buildings. They’re all decorated very nicely like that shopping district, so I’m assuming this is a high-class section of the kingdom. I decided to go inside one of them to see what I could find and possibly take back for extra cash. Lo and behold, there are a lot of exquisite things in here for the picking! Jewelry, exquisite silverware, and all sorts of other things. One of the rooms here is even dedicated to housing a bunch of books.
I decided to just take one set of silverware and a few rings. Sorry, Senna and Lucian, the temptation to take things is too strong for me to resist.
I went into the master bedroom in this building, and there’s some really expensive looking fabric on the bed. Silk, I’d say. Not as good as Ionian silk, but pretty good.
Speaking of Ionia, I forgot to mention that I got to go there after Ruination. I realized it was a part of the world I neglected to go to, so I went ahead and went there.
I went in a disguise just in case, cause I heard Ionia isn’t exactly on easy terms with Piltover and Zaun because of Noxus or whatever. Didn’t exactly listen to that one real well, so I can’t remember the exact reason they associate Piltover with Noxus.
Nonetheless, I went there and it was real pretty. Too much to write about, but a notable and very interesting thing I saw was that there was a really big Noxian-style fighting pit on one side of Ionia. It’s odd that Ionia even has one of these, but it’s not surprising considering Noxus already invaded them once. I went in to check it out, and there is a LOT of bloodshed. Nothing I couldn’t handle since I’ve shed a lot of my own blood trying to explore, but wow . I did not think this pit would be so packed.
I saw the head of the ring in there too. He was Vastayan, I think. He’s got a big, soft looking fluffy fur coat. Didn’t get to speak to him though, he was too busy doin’ his own business.
Hell, I’m getting super off-topic. That’s on me. Back to Camavor.
I already left this building since I couldn’t find anything else interesting, and I can’t really say anything interesting about the next one I’m in either. Kinda the same formula here, to be honest, with, of course, some variation in aesthetics.
Next building is just about the same. I don’t feel like exploring the rest of the rich residential buildings. I’ve seen it all, even in Piltover! Well, Piltover’s just more technologically advanced. But a lot of rich people still decorate the same. Trust me, I know. I’m gonna call it quits for tonight. The sun’s currently setting, and it’ll fully set by the time I get back to the castle.
I’ll end today’s journal entry here.

DAY 5
I’m gonna be sleeping a little further out into the kingdom, since this is the farthest away from the castle. Gonna need to find somewhere to snatch some candles from so I don’t have to sleep in the complete dark. Never really liked the dark anyways.
Man, I sound like a baby.
I packed up all my stuff and started moving out to the lower-class parts of the kingdom. So far, it doesn’t look as low-class as I expected it to be. Everything looks perfectly comfortable. The houses are nice. Not too big, not too small. There’s some smaller shops here, like a butchery and a smaller bakery. There’s even an open area dedicated to a marketplace.
I looked at the stands. There’s a bunch of fruits, vegetables, and such in all pristine condition. There’s also some baskets with old gold coins in them… which I may quietly take a few of. There’s other stands with different goods too, like hand-made clothes and some fish.
The fish don’t even smell bad, what the hell.
I left the marketplace and went to the nearest house I found. It was pretty small, but it wasn’t unbearably small. It reminds me of a cottage.
I was looking around and the house seemed fairly normal, nothing special that I really wanted to take. That is, until I got to the rooms upstairs.
I found a small bedroom with a nice, comfy bed and I was looking around the drawers for valuables when I found a bunch of interesting sketches. They’re kind of child-like, and really old. There’s a couple stains on them, too, and they all look like Gwen, except they draw her like an actual doll. There’s a bunch of fabric in here too, different colors and such, alongside all sorts of sewing tools in here too, save for some scissors, strangely enough. I concluded this was the birthplace of Viego’s wife, especially after remembering how much Gwen liked to talk about her maker.
I’ll be using this house to camp out while I’m exploring this part of the kingdom. It feels the most familiar to me, just because of the fact I now know Gwen used to live here. Live here? Is that even the right way to say it? She was a doll for centuries, wasn’t she? Eh, doesn’t matter.
I set down all my stuff in this house and started checking out the other houses. They all gave me some insight into what life might’ve been like in Camavor. The houses are all pretty neat and none of them are in poor condition on the outside. There’s pretty gardens, children’s toys outside, and it just feels like people lived pretty comfortably. I just have to wonder how peacefully they lived under Viego’s rule.
That’s a mystery no one’s solved, actually. Don’t think I’ve ever come across any documents about Camavor. Does anyone other than the Sentinel of Lights even know what it is? Oh well, not my business to dwell on it yet.
I’m gonna keep passing through the houses and see what I find, maybe there’s something noteworthy.
After about an hour or two of me aimlessly walking in and out of houses, I found a few scattered papers on the ground. They were talking about King Viego’s new marriage and how happy the two were and how the kingdom was prospering. It was in big letters and everything.
Huh. With how Viego was during the whole Ruination thing, you would think he’d have been an awful king. I guess not.
Getting pretty sleepy, I’m gonna head back to Gwen’s old house. Goodnight, Camavor.

[A tape is attached on the next page. The following transcript describes the events recorded within the tape.]
EZREAL: [Yawn] Good morning, Camavor. Another day to explore you.
[He stays silent for a while, shuffling around. The rustling of clothes can be heard.]
EZREAL: Whew, there we go. Clothes on. I’m starting to miss home, to be honest… and Senna. And Lucian. And Gwen. I still have the teleport thingy from the Ruination. I think it’s usable.
[Footsteps are heard as he runs down the stairs and more rustling can be heard. The sound of a chair being moved is audible. Ezreal makes a sigh as he sits down in it.]
EZREAL: I… I really miss them. It’s been only 6 days but I kinda wanna go back for a day or two. Maybe more. In the meantime, I’ll just try and plan out where I want to go from here.
[Sketching can be heard.]
EZREAL, mumbling: Hmmm… So far… mm… I’ll just go to the castle when I come back… Explore it… then we go outside and see what we can find…
[He pauses.]
EZREAL: What am I even doing? I mean, I know what I’m doing. But I mean with this journal. What am I doing…? I’ll figure that out later, whatever. Anyways, I sketched out a rough layout of Camavor’s current structure. I’m planning to explore the castle after I finish looking around the lower class section of Camavor. The castle might take two days to even get through…
[He gives a long sigh.]
EZREAL: I’m a complete baby. I really wanna go home.
[There is silence as Ezreal puts his head down in his arms.]
EZREAL: …I’m not usually this homesick when I go on adventures. Hell, I’ve been away from home for months at a time. I literally went to the depths of Ixtal and even found what was probably a portal to Bandle City… yet here I am just. Feeling sick because I was away from home for a bit long. Ugh, that’s stupid, I’ll just go home right now and come back after a few days. Ending the tape here. Gonna pack up and go visit Senna and Lucian.
[The tape ends.]

[Another tape is attached to the next page. The transcript describes the events recorded within the tape.]
SENNA: What’s that you’ve got in your hand, Ezreal?
EZREAL: Oh, this? It’s called a tape recorder. I can just record any sound with it.
GWEN: Oh joy! Is that another contraption from Piltover?
EZREAL: Yup! I brought it with me into Camavor just so I could talk into it if I didn’t feel like writing, but I think I’m starting to really like just using it. I have a lot of spare tapes to fill, anyways.
SENNA: That’s nice, Ezreal. Piltover’s always made some cool stuff.
GWEN: Say, Ezreal, why did you come back prematurely? I assumed you would stay there for another day, given your very adventurous nature. Was Camavor not interesting or cool?
EZREAL: Nah, it was really cool! I just wanted to come back for a bit. There was like, no living thing there. Not even a fly. But everything was intact! I even found where you were made, Gwen!
GWEN: Oh, really?
EZREAL: Yup! I’ve got the drawings from your maker right here.
[Ezreal rustles through some paper before grabbing a few and giving it to Gwen.]
GWEN: [gasp] Heavens above! She must’ve drawn these when she was but a child! How were they still there? Did she not move in with Viego after marrying?
EZREAL: Maybe her parents were still living in the house or something. But yeah, I found those for ya. You’re welcome
SENNA: You didn’t take anything from Camavor, right?
EZREAL, awkwardly: Ehh… Maybe, maybe not…
SENNA: [sigh] What am I gonna do with you…
EZREAL: Come onnnn, the stuff there was so cool though! I didn’t even take that much, I only took a few trinkets!
SENNA: Well, I can hardly stay mad at you. What did you even take anyways?
EZREAL: Some silverware… and a clock.
SENNA: Well, that’s not much… alright, I guess it’s fine then.
EZREAL: Say, Gwen, you like making clothes or whatever, right? I found a fabric store in Camavor. I can snatch some fabric for you when I go back if you want.
GWEN: Oh, I’d love that! You don’t have to!
EZREAL: Consider it a gift.
GWEN: Thank you very much!! I’ll be on my way now, I promised Rengar that I’d help him hunt!
EZREAL: Be careful around Rengar. That guy nearly killed me in Ixtal.
GWEN: Of course! Goodbye, now!
[The clacking of heels can be heard as Gwen skips away.]
EZREAL: ...Senna?
SENNA: Mhm?
EZREAL: I’ve gotta fess up. I came back because I missed you and Lucian a lot.
SENNA: Really?
EZREAL: Yeah. I know right? Kinda stupid to just quit an exploration just to-
SENNA: Ezreal… that’s really sweet actually. Come on, bring it in.
[There is a pause of silence while Senna and Ezreal embrace.]
EZREAL: Wait- I forgot to stop recording. God, this is gonna be an embarrassing tape.
SENNA: Haha, don’t worry about it. Lucian and I missed you too.
EZREAL: ...oh… um… Well… that’s… really cool too.
SENNA: Alright, I’ve gotta keep workin on this to track down Thresh. Make sure to say hi to Lucian, okay?
[Ezreal makes a loud groan as Senna noogies him.]
EZREAL: Augh- Senna! It took a lot of pomade to get this hair in place!!
SENNA: Hehehe, see you around, Ezreal.
EZREAL: You owe me pomade. But I’ll see you later, Senna.
[The tape ends.]
