Chapter Text
Basic info to give context to the characters. Not required reading but here if you need it, or so you can see what piques your interest and go right to their chapters.
Canon Worldstate:
Otta Surana*: Hero of Fereldan and eventual Warden-Commander of Fereldan. A Non-binary elf and blood mage, very anti-circle and anti-templar. Poly and romanced Alistair long term, had a short relationship with Zevran and romanced Leliana for a few years as well.
(Is also in an Inquisitor AU where they attend the conclave and end up with the anchor. Romances Josephine in this AU and has a not-quite-official-relationship with Blackwall)
Jude Hawke: Champion of Kirkwall. A force mage, very involved in mage rights politics. Knew about Anders' plan to destroy the Chantry and secretly assisted. Anders romance.
Alvis Trevelyan*: Inquisitor, warrior. Ex-Templar - Never wanted to become one but was too afraid to go against his parent's wishes to speak up about his pro-mage beliefs. Was stationed in Kirkwall and was kicked out of the Order for helping mages. Now trying to unlearn the chantry's teachings and religious guilt. Poly and romanced Bull, and eventually, they form a triad with Dorian.
*These OCs also appear in a Dragon Age DnD campaign I run as NPCs. The campaign has differences from this worldstate, so when I write for this campaign i'll note it as non-canon for this worldstate.
Alternate Worldstate:
Hanin Mahariel: Hero of Fereldan, duel wielding dalish rogue. Very blunt with dry humor. Extremely wary of humans after being ambushed by a group of human hunters as a teen. Romances Zevran!
Lyra Hawke: Champion of Kirkwall. Family-oriented warrior, doesn't care much for politics and just wants everyone safe and happy. Also a painter! Merrill romance.
Vherai Lavellan: Inquisitor. Necromancer dalish mage. Chose Fen'harel as her patron, and because of it doesn't have vallaslin, and was a black sheep in her clan. Questions tradition and the truth behind a lot of Dalish stories. Solas romance.
Non-PC OCs:
Vanni de Riva: Antivan Crow. Former merchant in Antiva who had a falling out with a business partner. His ex-colleague, angry, staged a robbery-gone-wrong in Vanni's home and killed his wife and two children. In the aftermath, Vanni hired the Crows to kill him, and knowing the grieving man was vulnerable and lost, the Crows swooped in and offered him a place with them.
Has to turn a lot of his emotions off for work, but is still a romantic sap of an old man underneath it all.
