“Hm? You alright? You made a bit of a face after you bit into your burger.”
Rope shrugs. “Yeah, it’s just that they messed up my order. Pretty sure I asked for no pickles.”
“You can take them out and give them to me if you wanna.” April starts to reach over to Rope’s side of the table.
“Yeah but then it leaves the pickle juice on the bun and it still tastes weird and…” Rope then diverts her eyesight to an interesting speck of dust on the ground.
“You should just ask them for a new one then, it’s no big deal.” April shrugs as well.
Rope shakes her head a bit. “It’s alright, I don't like to waste food.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah I’m pretty sure.” She takes another bite, and is definitely not sure.
April starts to stand. “You suuuure?”
“What are you doing.”
“Getting you a new burger, without pickles.”
Rope tries to stop her. “April, please, no, it’s okay,” her efforts are futile as the Cautus starts to walk away.
“Too late~”
“Wait no-” Rope accepts her fate and watches, trying her best to be inconspicuous.
April walks back over and hands a fresh burger to Rope. “Your order ma’am,” A slight chuckle escapes her. “Gummy was really nice about it too.”
Rope reluctantly accepts the new meal. “You really didn’t have to do that, y’know?”
“I know I didn’t.” April winks at her.
Rope lets out a big sigh. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome~” April plants a soft kiss on her cheek and sits back down. “So how is it?”
Rope takes a bite out of the new burger. No pickles to be found.
