“Wait Dream! Shouldn’t we go to a flower forest first?” George asked fiddling with the glasses nervously.
“We’ll go there next, we’ll go there next! This is just basic scenery.” “
Okay, basic scenery, basic scenery.” George spun in a circle, taking in the scenery and withdrawing the enchanted glasses from his pocket. “I still can’t believe we found a way to enchant these!”
“C’mon!” Dream egged him on impatiently, hands moving in a flurry of anticipation.
“Just put them on, you can see me first! You can see me through them first, you can—“ he gasped, “I’ll be the first thing you see through the colorblind glasses!!!!”
George laughed, “Okay okay!” He carefully lifted the enchanted glasses to his face and—
“—George!!” Karl yelled from across the grassy clearing to where George was taking a nap against a tree. George startled, blinking around rapidly to see Karl waving him down, beckoning him to check out the nearly completed library of his new kingdom.
And just like that, the sweet memory was gone, turning sour and bitter as he came crashing back down to the real world, to the harsh reality that Dream was gone.
