Chapter Text
X492:

X526:
—Metahuman Regulation Act. The government of Teyvatia formalizes its restrictions on people with quirks, forbidding the use of meta-abilities altogether, whether in a public or private setting, and reserving the right to quarantine any individual whose abilities were considered particularly “dangerous” in specialized government facilities. This quarantining came to apply to any quirk-using criminal as well as people who caused damage with their quirk on accident, and people who hadn’t done anything yet but just had a quirk with destructive capabilities or had too mutated an appearance to be considered particularly “human.”
X528:
—Ingbert, eldest son and heir of the powerful businessman Landrich, leads an expedition to Dragonspine alongside half-brother Eberhart and several hired hands. The entire investigation party dies or goes missing through the course of the expedition.
X530 – X537:
—The Quirk War. A drawn-out civil war in Teyvatia that was started by a group of quirked revolutionaries who were angered by government policy towards people with quirks and sought to overthrow the government entirely. The period of chaos that existed before the war, with criminal gangs and justice-seeking vigilantes alike rising to prominence and opposing the law enforcement and military while also fighting each other, only increased during this time of open revolt. The quirkless law enforcement found themselves well-outmatched in the conflict. Thus, they ended up going to some of the prominent vigilantes, asking for an alliance against the revolutionaries in exchange for dropping all of the charges against them and a change in policy for quirked people everywhere. Some agreed, and in the end, the revolutionaries were defeated, and the members who weren’t by this point dead or missing were imprisoned.
