Work Text:

I didn't know it was you...

-

Young Izuku wanted to become a hero more like anything.
But he had to learn it at a very young age, that dreams aren't meant for everyone.
First of all, - barely but - having a father who loathes heroes didn't really make easier to achieve his dreams.
But then turning out quirkless made it seemingly impossible.

Not if he was about to give it up.
He wanted to believe he can still be the hero of his dreams, who can save everyone and bring peace for the world.
He was so determined, he wasn't about to let it go.

His mother was quite supportive. Although she had her doubts, she wanted Izuku to be as happy as he could be, living in a single parent family.
At least, he should have his dreams.

Not if Izuku had no father. He had it, quite a rich one, who wasn't actually a bad man, he liked his son and her mother too.

The problem was, Kotaro Shimura was a married man, and his wife wasn't Inko.
She was just his lover or whatever, an affair for him.
He may wanted to end his marriage but then he changed his mind for sure, and went back to Nao, his wife and their two children.

So Izuku had two siblings. He met them, not often but sometimes, they actually got on quite well.
His sister was the oldest, she was seven by the time Izuku was born. Tenko, his brother was 5 years older than him.

They had quirks. Izuku wasn't sure what type they had, but they got some for sure. By the time he was five, Tenko was ten and Hana twelve.
They weren't like.. using them a lot, because of their father wasn't fond of anything related to heroes, but still,  they had quirks.

Izuku was jealous.
Why they can have it but he cannot?
It's unfair. They have their father already, yet he can only see him sometimes.
They can have anything they want, because of their fathers money, but he cannot, only when he is around, because his mother isn't a billionaire.

Yet his mom always told him, he was his fathers favorite.
Because he hasn't got a damn quirk.

It took ten years for the things to change.
By the time Izuku was 15, he got it what he always desired.
He finally owned a quirk.

Finally he could live his dreams. He got accepted to the UA, the best hero training school in the country.
He was about to become the hero of his dreams.
The one who saves the people...

He never intended to fight crime. He knew he would have to, but it was never his priority.
For example, even some of his classmates wanted to capture criminals, fight villains and stuff, like
a 'blacklist hunter'
So basically offering their abilities to the justice.

.

"I don't really wanna fighting villains - small four-year old Izuku explained to Tenko once - I just wanna save people. I wanna be a saving hero!"

"That's called rescuing hero" - Tenko laughed - "well that's great. But what will you do if you need to save someone from a bad guy?"

"Then I will fight the bad guy and save the person like All Might does on the TV! - Izuku said with a bright face - I'm gonna have a super powerful quirk to do so, all the bad guys gonna fear it!"

"Im gonna cheer for you, lil bro."

.

Now, he got that flashy super strong quirk as well. Straight outta his idol, the former no 1 hero, All Might.
He has his quirk now, he's got the OFA, in order to save the people, in order to protect the peace.

That was the plan, at least back then.
But nothing ever goes as planned.

It seemed like it does at first, tho.
He successfully got into the UA.
He was the happiest on the world. He was living his dream - he stepped the path of becoming a hero like he always wanted to.
He was wondering tho - would his father be disappointed if he could see him right now?

Anyways, he still had his mother, the one he could always count on, the one who always supported him and was there for him. It felt great.

He was able to make new friends as well. His classmates had interesting and quite different quirks indeed. Izuku liked to watch them is use, when they were training or doing a combat.
He was often amazed by them.

And then there was Shoto. A solid guy with a powerful quirk, a strong will and a shitty father.
His dad was the no 2, a hero type who specialized in fighting crime.
Shoto rather wanted to save people. Just like him.

They got on so well.
Firstly, Izuku thought he just found himself a best friend.
Due to his quirklessness, he never really had a best friend. He got some buddies, who he could play with, but no one wanted to be a bestie with the weird kid.

Throughout his childhood, he got bullied a lot, so he got used to it. One of his middle school classmates even told him to go and commit suicide.
Luckily he never met the guy again. He even forget his name. Just a useless extra, anyways.

(Authors note: fuck u Kacchan. I don't hate him now bc of the manga but I kinda did)

Shoto had it worse. His father trained him from his early childhood to become the no.1 hero. It was always rough and he lacked a choice. He had no mother around, so no one really comforted him.
Maybe that's why he opened up so slowly.

But he may have got some  feelings now, because with Izuku, he behaved elsehow. It was like those two were a match made in heaven.
They understood each other well, they were like soulmates.

It didn't took so long the boys realised their feelings towards each other. So slowly but for sure, they started to date and they become a couple.
It was like a fairytale for Izuku.

Tho Endeavor was not fond of their relationship, he didn't exactly oppose it. Tried to ignore it, well, they didn't give a damn about his opinion.
Izuku's mom was supportive, well just like always.
She took a like on Shoto immediately.

They spent most of their time at Izuku's. Tho it wasn't as fancy and bougie as Shoto's place, they were all good.

Not if Izuku or his mom would be poor. After the death of Kotaro Shimura, they actually got some heritage. Izuku was five at that time.

Nao Shimura never liked him, but her hatred was firstly towards his mom, who was the lover of his husband.
So she wasn't too fond of the fact that Kotaro left some money for them, but also, she just tried to ignore it. They got way too much wealth anyways to live from.

The only "sad" thing was, he really missed his siblings. They met sometimes but obviously less than before.
It was because of their moms.
Not the kid's fault but they got the worst of it.

He met Shoto's siblings. He had a brother and a sister, just like himself, both older than him. Same as his ones.
Izuku sometimes wondered how would his sibling react if they could meet Shoto.
Damn, they don't even know that he is a hero in training now!

He really wanted to introduce Shoto to his siblings. He wanted to get the maximum out of this so called family he had - but he got no chance for that.

Shoto got killed.

It was more likely an accident, he wasn't a particular target, it was just the villains' greed and bloodlust his loved one had to die.

The League of Villains, the most feared villain organization once decided to attack their school. They had it planned out well, they surprised his class when they were at a camp training.
Izuku was not sure what was the villains intention - yet they picked up some fights with the teachers and even with some of the students.

It seemed like they had no concrete goal. They were fine by creating a mess, laughing at the student how desperate they were.

Not all, tho.
It was Aoyama, who almost sh!tted his pants. One of the villains called Dabi - as Izuku learned later, was about to have fun moments by torturing him, when Shoto decided to interfere.
He had set it upon his mind, he wanted to save the others.

He was strong indeed. With the two quirks he got, he was already the top of his class, and by the unwanted trainings with Endeavor, his stamina was almost as good as a pro heroe's.

But the leader of the villain's squad was still stronger and not in the mood to be messed with.

He was insane.

He laughed while he killed Shoto.

He killed Shoto with his blue flames which were way too  hot even for his boyfriend to handle.

Izuku saw it, all the details of it.

How his fire user boyfriend is absorbed by a fire and he couldn't do anything.

It didn't lasted too long, but Izuku felt he was standing there for hours.

Helplessly, uselessly, not knowing what to do, while the villains and their vanguard squad leader left the place, laughing at them.

It was enough time tho, for Izuku to memorize every detail of him, the one called Dabi.

That was the moment Izuku told himself to fuck the people and fuck the peace.

He couldn't save the one he loved the most.
It's all pointless now.
He stopped to care.

The only thing what matters now is vengeance.

He vowed himself he won't die until he doesn't kill that patchwork face villain.

But that's not it.

That's nowhere near enough for him.

It's all or nothing now.

He's gonna go for the leader.

He gonna take down the chairman of the League of Villains

It was decided then, he made his promise, and now that was the only thing what mattered to him.

He left his hero academia, he left behind All Might and his dreams, now the only goal was to take down the villains.

And he was doing exactly that.
Kinda alone, but sometimes he had some help from Iida, his former classmate.
Tho the other boy wasn't exactly fond of the massacres, he understood Izuku's motives and tried to help out his friend as he could.

Not too much time till the villain Dabi was announced dead.

The head of the vanguard squad existed no longer.

The most reliable man of Tomura Shigaraki was dead.

Which lead to lose even more sanity of his.
The boss was never a stable man, but somehow Dabi managed to handle his tantrums.
He could do it the way Tomura did not want to kill him, so it was pure success.

And somewhat he trusted him, he even gave him his best men to go and fight, and it was all success till a random someone did not kill him.

And now Tomura missed Dabi so freakin much.

He was a great help at the business as well.
Now, it was all left for Tomura himself, because he didn't trust nobody else to help him.
The 'papers' remained only for him, and the smuggling part were for his villains.

His organization was kinda big.
Of course, the inner circle did not have too much members, but there were some low key mobs in touch as well, working for him.
And so the business went smoothly.

He was chilling at his little palace near to the town, being safe in pure luxury, with enormous amount of money.

But he missed his right hand man so much.

He was a great help at the business for sure, but he was so much more.
The only one he could trust, he would trust his life into Dabi, he would give anything to him, every desire of his would be fulfilled directly by him...
So this is the so called love they are always talking about? - Tomura thought.

And now, that he finally realizes his feelings, the subject of his feelings is no more.

He had it rough.

He barely remembered how his life turned out this shitty.
How he stepped on a path of a criminal, how he became the most feared man in the underworld but yet, there he was.

He wanted to be a hero, but he could not.
His father was a damn fucker. He forbade his practicing any hero related stuff, by a kinda cruel way.
Sometimes he was jealous of his half brother, who didn't live with them. He was still so young with no quirk, so their father behaved with him so much better.

Then he died.
He was left behind with his mom and his sister.
They got the wealth but shit happens, and they kinda lost it. All of it.
But the worst part was, his mother and his sister died too.
In an "accident"
Created by the king of the underworld, the pure evil, the one who adopted him at the end, and made him his successor.
Kinda fucked up fate huh?

But then, after all the loss he suffered, life gave him Dabi.

He remembered they used to go to the town for some fun, kinda in disguise. Just the two of them, having some great times without eventually killing someone.
They went to a cafè, instead of the local pub - what was actually the main place for any interaction of the local crime

The cafè's owner was a girl called Toga.
She lived alone there upstairs, and she owned the place.
It wasn't actually a frequented one, because it was a bookcafé, and no one actually read at the town.

But Toga liked it anyways.
She was happy there with her books and other cute stuff she gathered there. She could make it as great that it almost felt like a home.  A real one, which she never ever had.

She did not have too many customers, but given that the town was full of lowkey mobs with no attitude but rudeness, she wasn't actually feeling down because of it.

That day was seemingly as peaceful as the others, when the green haired boy entered into her cafe and into her life.
He looked so innocent, so helpless - if Toga could no better, she would be mistaken already for his looks.

But the girl heard the news that day. She knew about the bloodbath in the local pub. And she was aware of the fact in that very moment when Izuku entered into her place, that now she is facing with the one responsible for the massacre.

But she somewhat wasn't thrilled.
She had no bad feelings for the mobsters who got killed there brutally, yet she didn't understand the motivation.
But she got the fact that those men were good for nothing.
They were just drinking all day and then, when someone from the 'upper circle' gave them a phone call, they searched for their guns and eventually shot if they were told to.
Eventually they did everything they were ordered.
They smuggled, they killed, they deceived.
And what for?
For that beer in the pub what smelled like pee?

And all of a sudden, a darkblue haired, tall, young man arrived into the pub this morning.
He was way too ountshining the drunk scum there, he walked straight to the barman and asked for water, nothing else.

The 'locals' of the pub looked suspiciously at him, as he started to tell the barman a story about an other town nearby, when a stranger, dressed in all black with dark green hair walked into their pub and left it with no living soul.

"All because he was searching for ... - the boy started - a name he told the barman but i cannot remember clearly .. Shi n.. Shi a.. Shigaraki, that was it"

The air started to freeze as the word was spoken.
He just said out loud the Boss's name, out of the blue.
It's not a common thing, given that he was a stranger, an unknown man they have never seen here before.

Some of the drunks already tried to grab their guns but then the bartender asked them to stay still.

He knew it better. He felt like this rumor could be based on something, even tho he didn't like that something.
He asked the blue haired man about the killers looks, to wrote it down

Black clothes,
Dark green hair
And a guitar case -

- the blue haired man was gone by that time,
But a new customer came to take over his place.

"By any chance, don't you want to hire a mariachi?" - he asked.

"We don't hire musicians anymore!" - one of the drunks shouted

"Sorry to hear that - the unknown young man said - in that case, I would like to have a glass of water, please"

The bartender looked as if he would see a ghost.
A ghost with darkgreen hair, all black outfit and a guitar case.

Now, he was the one pulling out a gun first.

"What's in the case?"

"That? - the greenette asked while smiling - my guitar!"

"Show it. Slowly."

Meanwhile all the guys stood up, guns in their hands, watching carefully as the greenette opened it.
It really looked like a guitar.

"So? About my water?"

As the bartender went serving, one of the drunks decided to have a closer look at the musical instrument.

Maybe he wanted to try it out.
Maybe he was a mariachi once.
Maybe he just hasn't seen such a thing.

But at that very second he touched it to get it out the case, he noticed its just a delusion and under the
"guitar", there are guns and other weapons.

He wanted to shout, to warn his drinking buddies, but all he got was one loud sound before Izuku noticed him and emptied his machine gun - into him.

And that's how it started.
He quickly grabbed the guitar case, having access to the other weapons he brought.
So he could eliminate the whole pub but the bartender, only to ask him the same question as he did at the other town

"Where is Shigaraki?"

"I really have no idea"

He got the exact same answer.

And as he was walking away with bloody hands, he needed to shoot behind.
He couldn't let the bartender live, as for the man was aiming to kill him from behind.
He really had no intention to end the place like this but you kill before you get killed - Izuku thought sadly.

He rented out a place at this town, and he aimed for getting there quickly. The blood straps could easily tell on him, so he wanted to stop his wounds from bleeding at the first place.

But it seemed that someone managed to survive at the pub, or at least got there after the massacre, because it was now made public -
Someone is after Shigaraki in the town.

So Izuku really had to not to be outstanding.
He entered to the nearest place he could find, hoping there is a bathroom or anything he could clear himself up.

So that's how he found the bookcafè with Toga.
He wanted to ask the girl for a bathroom but suddenly he felt all of his strength leaving him and he fell off the ground.

Now, it was all up to Toga.
To take in the guy, whom she knows nothing but the fact he killed a bunch of people this morning.
Or she should throw him out, perhaps call the authorities (who were Shigaraki's inner circle here) and problem solved.

It would be logical

It would save her tons of problems.

But how could someone listen to their mind if their heart already decided it all?

At that moment the stranger entered, he looked deeply into her eyes, and Toga felt she is lost in those for ever.

There was no other option but taking him in.

So that's how their relationship started.
Toga brought him upstairs, treated his wounds, and eventually slept with him.

It was a cure for her broken heart
As much as it was for Izuku's broken soul.

He never tended to forget Shoto, as for he was his first love, but the girl was so kind and so beautiful.
He didn't want to decline her love, eventually there was no need to decline anything, because his own feelings started to kick in.

He was staying at Toga's.
He told her he is in a dangerous business.
That he is fighting against crime, but not as heroically as he thought he will.
He is doing it for his vengeance, so he gonna eliminate the whole cartel and their leader once and for all.

Then he learned about Toga "working" for Shigaraki too.
He saw it with his own eyes, and Toga told him all as it was.

In every 2nd week, a car stops by, some people come in to drop out a package.
Later that day, another car is coming to pick it up.

"I literally have no risk but a great insurance. I need it to maintain the place and myself" - she told Izuku.

"I understand you hate him with all you got but he is not that bad. As for us living down there.
He provides us jobs, well, not to say what kind but we got great money from it. And some kinda protection. No one dared to go against the people here because they fear his name.
Not before you."

So that's how it was.
Izuku finally learned it.

He was so angry, he wanted to leave Toga behind for ever, he wanted to storm out the cafe and never look back but then suddenly a customer came.
Toga barely managed to hide him under the bar counter.

"It's him" - she whispered - "stay still or we both die"

Tomura felt desperate.

Not only his most trusted died, someone is clearly after his organization.
They eliminated two of his bars, moreover,
one was located in his favorite town, nearest to his palace.

It was also a distribution center.

He told the command  his men, to eliminate everyone who is suspicious in the town.
He could feel it - the stranger is still there, waiting for the best time to shoot.

Oh, he missed Dabi so much.

He told his men exactly what to do.
But they didn't succeed
Why?

They just need to kill everyone they don't know!
Is that so hard?

"I don't know you! - he pointed to one of his low ranked man - I kill you!"

Boom

The man fell off the ground with his brain out.

"Is that so fuckin hard?"

The inner circle was in a serious trouble now.
They had no clue what to do, they could never handle Tomura like Dabi could, and they were afraid to do anything because they didn't want to die.

But there was no one suspicious in the town.
No more.
They could not find it.
Yet the boss kept telling there is.

Tomura was nervous with a reason.
Not only some stranger threatened him as no one did before, but the MLA - their "partner" organization or whatever learned about the case and offered some help.

It wasn't a real help tho, it was mostly supervision, and Tomura definitely didn't need that.
He wasn't fond of the MLA at all. He tolerated them as he had no better option, but they were just a pain in his ass.

And now, they wanted to interfere in his personal stuff.
That fucking town was his and his only.
The intruder was his problem, only his and he doesn't need anybody else to interfere.

Yet the MLA sent a man.

A tall one, his profession was throwing knives.
He was quick and could disappear easily.
He had sharp eyes, he noticed Izuku almost immediately, when his bosses at the MLA gave him the description - of a man in black, with a guitar case.

He saw Izuku coming out from a church once.
There he met with his friend and former classmate, Iida, for the last time.

The blue haired man told him he had enough, its not a proper lifestyle for them at all.
The vengeance has gone too far, he killed too much, it's coming out of hand.
He told Izuku he's not gonna be a part of it any longer.

He was right tho.

After coming out of the church, the MLA spy noticed them, before Shigaraki's men could do the same.
He was standing behind Izuku, not too far to have a great throwing.

He threw his small knives into his back, into the points they should be fatal.

They were.

The only difference, he did not got Izuku but Iida.
The blue haired male noticed the upcoming attack and he was about to defend his friend.

If costed his life.

Izuku wanted to kill the man, but he got injured too. He needed to hide, because he saw the car of Shigaraki's men.
He knew they are after him, and he cannot risk it now.

He successfully hid in an alley, but the MLA spy was visible for the hitmen.
And as for the MLA told no person description, they could not recognize him.

He was a stranger.

Shigaraki told them to eliminate the strangers.

So they did as they were told to do.

They collected the body and proudly drove back to the mansion, to show the boss they eliminated the threat.

Tomura just got a phone call from the MLA.
They finally decided to inform him about the person they sent there for "help", so they generously gave him a description.

It was hundred percently correct for the dead body his men were bringing there.

So Tomura decided to handle the stuff himself.
He went down to the town with his men, as they were driving through in the bulletproof car he just bought.
They were alert.

The people out there were aware of the extraordinary situation, so there was no unnecessary movement on the streets.
There were no noticeable strangers.

Tomura wanted some sleep.

He decided to let himself a break and drink a coffee at his favorite bar. The one led by that lovely girl, the one they used to go with Dabi.

He entered the bookcafè.

And there was Toga, with his lovely smile and gentle looks.

She was really great, Tomura sometimes thought about making her his woman.
But he just lost Dabi, and now he wasn't in a mood for another romance.

He sat down, to order a coffee.
He knew Toga must heard of the situation, so he asked her if she saw a stranger let him know.

She promised.
Of course she did, she knew better than telling no to Shigaraki.
But what she didn't know, telling lies to him were so much worse.

Because he could see through the lies.

He sadly noticed the girl is now lying to him.
He could see through the people.
Their faces, their body language, he knew all those things, most of the people weren't even aware of its existences.

He smiled at Toga before leaving the place behind, he even left her a tip.

He wanted to believe he was wrong this time, that his insists are just false, but no matter how he wanted to convince himself about his being wrong, he knew it's not the case here.

He looked back to the bookcafè as he left it.
He decided for its destiny.

The next day, they gonna blow it up.

Just a night to survive before, and all his enemies will be gone.

A night with lucid dreams for Tomura -

- And a night with all the greatness for Izuku

He was furious when Toga whispered him that Shigaraki is the one coming to her cafè, then the girl asked him to stay still.
He was hiding under the bar counter, his gun filled with bullets to shoot.

But he knew it better.

He saw Shigaraki's men standing at the door, he knew those men can handle their weapons well, not like those thugs at the pub.
He knew he would put Toga in danger if he gonna start shooting now.

So he chose to not shoot.
Anyways, he just saw the back of Shigaraki.
He wanted to face him when he shoots him.

But it's okay.
He know the chairman is here and he felt his desperateness.
He can find him now.
He gonna find him and kill him.
Izuku felt some kind of relief.

And for the night, he was making love with Toga.
The girl was gorgeous.
Izuku felt so much better because of her.
He thought he never gonna feel that way again, but the girl showed him, there is still a meaning in his life.
For the first time, Izuku finally believed it.
He had some goal, not only his revenge but after that, so his life's not gonna be pointless.

Their night was pure beauty. The chemistry between them was clear and tense. Izuku wished for this to never end - but the wonderland was shattered by shooting.

There were hitmen all around the house. They were shooting through the window, aiming to kill them while in sleep.

Izuku quickly got up and grabbed his guitarcase full of weapons, and of course Toga, and they were running downstairs, wishing to get out through the bookcafé.

But the downstairs was burning.
All the books - with all of Toga's money hidden in them - were eaten alive by the flames, and there was no way out for them.

They had to leave upstairs, they had to go to the rooftop, while Izuku was cleaning their way by killing the enemy there.

They were out, but they needed to be unnoticeable, so the hitmen could think they are still inside the burning building.

They jumped from the roof to the other, so they were in a safer place now, and they still could see the place and the members of the League standing there.

And there he was, Shigaraki in person.
Watching his favorite place destroyed, on his command.
He did not wish for it.
But he can not show mercy for anyone who betrayed him.

Watching how the flames are destroying the place he was having so many happy moments with Dabi.
Devastating.

Toga watched it from the rooftop.
How the work of her lifetime is over now.
She's got nothing.
All her money and values, being destroyed, leaving her completely lack-all.

She built the whole place from her own, after she could finally run away that toxic household.
It was all she had, and now, it's gone.

She can hate Shigaraki from the bottom of her heart now - even tho she knew she was the one who fucked it up.
She lied to him.
She got her reward for it.

She looked at Izuku, as the man was putting together his sniper.
She's not going to stop him.
She now has no choice, but aiming for Shigaraki's death.

They can get no rest till the chairman is alive.

Izuku was ready with the weapon.
He sharpened, he zoomed in, he was ready to pull the trigger.

He wanted to do it in person,
he wanted to look into that monster's eyes, and not just shoot him in the back.

But now, they barely got out alive.
And if the hitmen gonna find out they didn't burn inside... Izuku knew he has to do it now.

There are to many League members down there.
He cannot just jump down and face Shigaraki.
He's gonna shoot him dead without facing him.

The point is on the target's back.
He's gonna shoot through his heart.
Then they gonna leave with Toga as fast as possible.
It's gonna be over.

The men down there gonna be busy with Shigaraki's dead body, so he and Toga can get some time for escaping,
then they can hide somewhere and when no one is chasing them,
they can finally leave this town behind.

And he's gonna be all done.
No more massacre.
No more killing.
He revenge gonna be done.
Shoto's soul could finally rest then.

He just needs to pull the trigger.
Five ... four ...
the target is moving
Three ..
The target is turning around
Two..
Izuku can see his face through the glass of the sniper
One...

Izuku puts his finger away from the trigger.

Toga has no clue what's happening now.
She's seeing as Izuku is putting down the weapon into the case, without actually using it.

Shigaraki is standing still downstairs, he did not move, he would be an easy target, yet Izuku just changed his mind all of sudden?

Damn, he wanted to kill him for so long, what changed now?
They almost got killed minutes ago, she lost everything and yet why isn't Izuku killing him?
That was what he wanted all along..
Why?

She asked

But there's no answer.
Izuku's face is like a marble.

There are no emotions on it
But the pure sadness she can sense coming from his lover man.

"I know where to go"

That's all she got.

The League is slowly retreating.
They surely went back to their base, to the mansion near this town, the place Toga or the townsmen had no clue where it was exactly located.

But now, they were heading there.
How could Izuku suddenly find out its whereabouts?

And how come they are going directly into the lions' throat?

All they got their clothes they quickly got on while escaping her house, and the guitar case with the weapons.

But there's only the two of them, and Shigaraki has his men in his mansion, god knows how many.

They finally reached the gates.
It was massive and big, but not closed.
Seemingly the League came back not so long ago.

They entered.

It has a kinda big park right before the house.
Some cars were parking near to the gate, some men were around, but now it wasn't interesting at all.

In front of them, there was a sofa outside, on the other side of the park.
There was sitting Shigaraki himself, with some men standing around him.

Toga still had no clue what's going on.
The chairman liked her, she could sense that.
But she betrayed him, so he would kill her with cold blood.

And now, they are showing up there, Izuku is facing him in person?
They gonna die for sure..

As they were walking through the place, the League members were pointing their guns at them.
All but not Shigaraki.

He didn't move an inch, till Izuku came closer to have a look at him.
He waved with his hand to his people to put down the guns, while he stood up.

"All this time I thought I was looking for the devil himself" - Tomura said - I didn't know it was my little brother"

"I didn't know it was you - Izuku said with a heavy gaze - I only found out this morning"

"I ought to kill you right now - Tomura hugged him while holding a gun to his throat - you disgraced me.
Fuck.
You were always the good guy.
You wanted to be a hero
The fuck happened?
The fuck are you here now and killing my men?"

"Your men killed the one I loved"

"And isn't she the one who you love now? - Tomura pointed at Toga - When we lose something, we replace it with something else. She's a real peace of work."

"Sorry about the bookstore - Tomura was now talking to Toga - if I knew that was my little brother you are fucking, things would go down differently"

"Tomura" - Izuku started - "I have seen the gazes of many men. I have learnt to read them"

"So what are you reading outta mine?"

"Defeat, brother"

"Defeat? - Tomura laughed hysterically- defeat? You came here to kill me! What would papa think of you if he saw you now?
You were his favorite.
His precious one.
And now? You are just a piece of shit like me!
You want to kill me?
Let me tell you something.
You have already killed me!
And now.. your hands up.."

"I'm sorry Izuku - Tomura looked at his little brother with an indescribable sadness in his gaze -
You have killed my men. Okay.
What's done it's done"

"What is done it done.." - Izuku whispered, mostly to himself, while in pure shock.

"I'm finished anyway - Tomura said while pointing his gun to Toga - Clean slate. We will be even."

"Your men killed my loved one"

"And you killed Dabi damnit!" - Tomura was now shouting -
" You killed the one I loved the most!
The one who loved me for real!
But now.. I kill Toga
And you'll get to watch"

It was the moment Izuku could see his entire life till this very point.
From his early childhood, suddenly he got all his memories back he thought they never even existed.
He saw himself with Tenko playing together.
He always looked up to his brother.

He was soo cool.
He told him so many great things.
He believed in him.

"And then remember, Izuku, always have an ace upon your sleeve"

He took this advice to his little heart, even tho he had no clue how to use it then.

But he does know what it means now.

He had two aces.

Tomura is pointing his gun to Toga.
He once loved the woman too.
But it's not stopping him for killing her.

That's the Shigaraki, Izuku heard a lot about.
The villain boss with no mercy.

How come he's not gonna kill him?
He cannot kill his little brother?

Izuku is all prepared.

Family first, huh?

But he cannot let Toga die.

His heart cannot bear another loss of a loved one.

"And you'll get to watch, huh? - Tomura whispered, mainly to himself, while almost pulling the trigger
- remember Izuku, what I told you?
Always have an ace... always"

Why is he telling him that now? - Izuku almost panicked.
Why at that exact moment?
Why now, when he almost got out the two shotguns out of his sleeves, and shot his own brother with them?

His insists rewrote any kind of racionalities he had left.
So that was it.
He saved Toga.
It's all over.

He got a second chance from life.
He can be free now, he ca be happy with her woman.
He got his entrance ticket by murdering his only family left.

How could he do that?

Now the desperateness flowed through his veins.
He knew he targeted too fucking punctual.
He knew there is no chance of survival - but still.
He quickly went to his brother.
He was barely alive from the bullets he sent to him directly

But there was a heavenly calm on his face

"You know, we are both  free now."

Somewhere at the country roads, there was a young couple driving through, in a stolen jeep.
The girl was blond, beautiful, and fearless.
The boy had a strange guitar case with him, as he said, just in case.
But there was no burden on his shoulders anymore.
He could be happy and having no worries.
There was just one small wrinkle under his left eye, formed as a tear, with a drop of gloominess, only seen at sunlight.

And somewhere, between the ultimate greatness and pure evil, two lost souls reunited again in their sea of sin.
No matter there was no shore for them.
No matter they were sentenced for eternal suffering.
It was nothing compared to that time when they were departed for that small amount of time.

They were meant for each other
Either in life, either in death.
