Work Text:
It had been while since Thomas and Richard had been able to meet up and actually spend a full day and night together just the two of them in York.
After a busy day of walking around, sharing kisses and holding hands in quite places, they were back at Richard’s flat just relaxing sat on the old sofa Richard had got from his parents as a gift when he first got the flat.
They had been chatting about everything and anything all day from work to where they would go on holiday to which was the best way to cut a sandwich.
They sat and enjoyed the warmth and the fact they were together but Thomas still had some more questions he wanted to ask.
“What’s the worst thing you did when you were younger?” Thomas asked.
“I stole some sweets from the sweet shop when I was a youngster” Richard said with a shrug.
“Theft!” Thomas said with mock disgust and a hand over his heart “I thought I was dating Richard Ellis not Richard Turpin!”
“You used to steal wine! You said it yourself!” Richard said in defence “and I was a child when I stole!”
“I wasn’t much older than a child when I stole the wine and I sold most of it anyway. It was a business venture!”
“Stealing from your employers was a business venture?” Richard asked raising an eyebrow.
“Of sorts yes” Thomas said scrunching up his nose and tilting his head to the side a bit.
“You are unbelievable Mr Barrow” Richard said shaking his head slowly.
“Well not all of us have a moral compass of gold Mr Ellis” Thomas retorted sarcastically.
They just smiled at each other for a while until Thomas broke the silence.
“So what sweets did you steal?”
“Liquorice mostly” Richard answered.
“Of all the sweet to risk being caught stealing you went for liquorice?” Thomas said now raising an eyebrow back.
“They’re good sweets!” Richard defended.
“If you had stole them from my sweet shop I’d let you keep them just to get rid of them”
“You don’t even have a sweet shop!”
“Well if I did it wouldn’t sell liquorice”
“Thomas!” Richard half shouted grinning wildly at his annoyingly stubborn and annoying cute partner.
“Richard!” Thomas shouted back.
They stared at each other intensely until they both started laughing and couldn’t stop until their sides felt as if they were going to split and tears were rolling down their faces.
“You are so annoying!” Richard said lightheartedly.
“But you love me” Thomas replied smiling sweetly.
“Yes I do love you, my silly boy” Richard said pressing a kiss onto Thomas cheek softly.
“And I love you too Dear” Thomas said returning the kiss.
They curled up close for a while until Thomas wondered something.
“Wait how old were you when you stole the sweets?”
“I may have been… 15 possibly 16” Richard said sheepishly.
“16! That’s not a youngster!” Thomas yelled while laughing.
“Well it sort of is” said Richard grinning.
“Richard!”
“Thomas!”
