Work Text:
“Come on Killua! Aunt Mito said she’d make cinnamon bread today!” Gon exclaimed excitedly, grabbing his hand and running down the street.
“Jeez, Gon!” Killua laughed, running alongside him. “Slow down!”
“You’ve never had her cinnamon bread before! I bet it’s still warm!” Gon didn’t slow his pace one bit, but Killua didn’t mind. He would always keep up with Gon.
When they finally arrived at his house, Killua was surprised to hear Gon literally moan at the smell.
“We’ve entered heaven.” Gon breathed.
“Wow, I thought only I could make you sound like that.” Killua teased, squeezing his hand.
“Oh please.” Gon rolled his eyes, his expression remaining affectionate. “Have you heard yourself around chocolate robots?”
Killua hummed, pulling him closer. He let go of Gon’s hand and wrapped his arms around his neck.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Killua murmured, leaning in closer and closer. “What kind of sounds do I make?”
Gon smirked, knowing exactly what his boyfriend wanted. He placed his hands on Killua’s waist, slowly backing him into the wall.
Killua’s heart pounded in excitement when Gon’s lips were less than an inch away from his own. His eyes fluttered shut, his stomach churning in anticipation and thrill.
“Ahem!” A loud voice interrupted. Killua jumped in surprise, his mood quickly turning to annoyance when he realized he wasn’t going to get kissed. Truth be told, he had been waiting for this all day. It was hard enough to keep his hands off Gon throughout the day.
“Ah! Aunt Mito, hi!” Gon greeted, his cheeks turning pink.
She rolled her eyes. “Hi Gon. Hi Killua. None of that in my kitchen!”
“Cinnamon bread?” Gon asked, his face turning into that adorable pout that Killua could never say no to.
Mito chuckled. “Yes, it just came out of the oven. I’ll cut some up for you.”
The three sat down together, talking and laughing about their day as they ate the cinnamon bread. Gon was right, Mito’s baking was absolutely incredible. This cinnamon bread was definitely in his top five favorite foods now. Almost matching up to chocolate robots. Almost.
“Well, it’s a good thing you boys are about to graduate! Are you ready for your math final tomorrow?” Mito asked Gon.
Killua noticed him tense. Gon didn’t say anything, he had this stressed look on his face.
“Gon!” Mito cried out. “Do not tell me you forgot about your exam!” She put her hands on her hips.
“N-No! I didn’t!” Gon stammered. Killua resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He was such a bad liar! He also knew that Gon had done absolutely zero studying for math in the past few months.
“You have to pass that class! We discussed this, Gon.” Mito said sternly.
“I will, don’t worry!” Gon tried to reassure, though he didn’t sound very convincing.
“Killua, would you be able to help him? You’re a good student, right?” Mito asked, a pleading look in her eye.
Killua smiled. “Of course I can. Don’t worry Gon. I’ll make sure you pass.” He squeezed his hand reassuringly. Gon’s ashamed expression turned into a hopeful one, his eyes full of light.
“Go on, you two. Get to studying!” Mito urged, pushing the two towards the stairs.
Gon and Killua went up the stairs in silence. Right when they entered his room and shut the door, Gon grabbed Killua’s hips and pulled him closer, their bodies pressed against each other.
“I believe we got interrupted.” He whispered, his breath tickling Killua’s cheek.
Before he could even react, before he could even think, his boyfriend’s warm lips were on his own.
Killua quickly cupped his cheeks, kissing him back desperately. He poured his desire, his want, his need for Gon into the kiss. This is what he had been craving all day. Killua felt like he was a starved lion finally getting to eat fresh meat after a week.
“Mm, Gon—” Killua mumbled, letting a giggle escape when Gon kissed him again, stopping him from talking. He gasped when he felt strong arms suddenly hoist him up. Killua quickly wrapped his legs around Gon’s waist, not breaking the kiss as Gon carried him to the bed and laid him down.
Killua felt his breath hitch at the sight of Gon hovering over him. God, he was going to be the death of him. With his beautiful amber eyes, that adorable spiky black hair, that damn infectious smile.
He placed his hands on Gon's waist and suddenly flipped him over, switching their positions so that he was now on top of him. Killua kissed him urgently, letting their tongues graze each other in the midst of their heated kiss. He savored the feeling of Gon’s hands going up and down his sides.
But when Gon’s hands started to wander lower, Killua realized how distracted he had gotten. He pulled away, chuckling.
“Gon, we have to get started on your math.” Killua said, though he wanted nothing more than to continue indulging in him. Gon got him all worked up and it was beyond frustrating that they had to stop.
“Mmm, Killua. This is a lot more fun.” Gon rested his hands on his hips.
Killua felt his cheeks get warm. “I know, I know. But we have all the time in the world for this, after your final tomorrow. Now come on.” Killua got up, no longer straddling Gon on the bed.
“Aw, fine.” Gon grumbled, dragging himself to his desk. Killua chuckled, finding it so adorable.
“Take out your homework and old quizzes. We’ll start by making a list of topics that you need to work on the most.” Killua instructed.
Gon obeyed, taking out everything Killua asked him to. He sat there in silence while Killua checked his work.
“Okay, let’s start with limits. They’re not too bad and I can teach you a few easy tricks so that you can get it right every time.”
He started writing out one of the problems that Gon got wrong on his quiz.
“You apply the product law in this one. After that, simplifying is very easy. Like this.” Killua wrote out the solution. “Here, now you try it.”
“That doesn’t seem too bad.” Gon said. He did the next problem by himself correctly.
“See? You’re already getting it!” Killua exclaimed proudly.
Gon, much to Killua's surprise, did the next five problems without any complaints. Just when he thought Gon was getting focused, getting motivated to learn the material, he felt a hand on his thigh.
“I think you make a very sexy professor, Killua.” Gon purred, leaning in close to him and placing a kiss just below his ear.
“H-Hey! Focus! There’s a lot to cover!” Killua felt his face get warm, but Gon really needed to pass this exam. He was not making this any easier on him!
“Am I being bad, Professor Zoldyck?” Gon teased, slowly dragging his fingers up Killua’s thigh. “Are you going to punish me?” He murmured that last part in Killua’s ear, that tone sending heat straight to his lower regions. Gon's hand placed barely inches away wasn't helping either.
Killua gasped when he felt Gon’s lips on his neck. His breath staggered, his eyes naturally closing at the contact. But he knew what Gon was doing. After letting it go on for just a little bit, he grabbed one of Gon’s homework packets and hit his head with it.
“Hey!” He protested, pulling away.
“Gon! If you put even half the effort in studying as you do in distracting me, you’d ace this exam!”
Gon sighed. “I’m sorry Killua.” He leaned away and looked down at his papers without saying another word.
Killua immediately felt guilty. He hated seeing that dejected look on Gon’s face, especially since he was the one who caused it.
He grabbed his hands, forcing Gon to look at him.
“Hey.” Killua interlocked their fingers. “I’m sorry for being hard on you. I just…I really want to help you pass this. Because once you do…” He trailed off, feeling nervous about continuing. Gon seemed to pick up on it right away.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” Gon asked, that love and concern noticeable in his expression.
“Nothing’s wrong. I just…I thought it would be fun to take a trip together after we graduate. I-If you want to, I mean! And if we do, I don’t want you and Mito to part on bad terms.”
Gon’s expression immediately brightened. “Killuaaaa!” He exclaimed, pulling him close and hugging him. “You didn’t tell me you were planning all this!”
Killua felt his heart skip a beat. He wrapped his arms around him tightly, burying his face into the crook of Gon’s neck.
“I thought I’d bring it up after graduation.” He mumbled, nuzzling his cheek.
Gon hugged him tighter. “I’d love to go on a trip with you! We always dreamed of traveling the world together, haven’t we?”
Killua felt an immense relief flood inside him. He couldn’t believe he was stupid enough to think that Gon wouldn’t want to go on a trip with him. Why did he make himself worry about this for so long? Of course he would want to go! Gon was his boyfriend. Gon loved him. They had this dream of traveling together for years.
“I’m going to pass this math final, Killua. I won’t let you down!” He exclaimed, that familiar determined glint in his eye.
“I know you won’t.” Killua smiled fondly at him. And he really meant it. Gon was strong and smart. He could do anything he put his mind to.
“Just…one more thing.”
“Hm?”
Gon cupped his cheeks and gave him a sweet kiss on his lips. “I love you, Killua.”
Killua felt his heart melt. He would never get used to Gon saying those words to him. “I love you too, Gon.” He said shyly. “So much.”
Gon beamed, giving him one more kiss. “Okay, I know I have to focus now. Let’s do this!”
~~~
“Killuaaaa!” Gon yelled across the parking lot. He could recognize his boyfriend anywhere. Not only did his white hair make him stand out, but it was like he literally glowed in the crowd.
He saw Killua’s head jerk up, a grin forming on his face when he saw who called his name. Gon started running towards him at full speed, knowing that Killua would catch him. He always did.
“I passed, Killua! I did it! All thanks to you!” He exclaimed excitedly as soon as he was in his boyfriend's hold. He peppered his face in light kisses.
Killua laughed in delight. “I knew you would! I told you you could do it. This was all you, I just helped you a little.” Killua said, stroking his hair and giving him a light kiss on the lips.
“Come on. Let’s go back to your place. To celebrate.” Killua's tone insinuated something that made Gon too excited. He kissed his jaw, holding Killua's hand the entire time they walked home.
They told Mito the good news, and she was beyond ecstatic. She even seemed a little bit surprised, but still extremely thankful to Killua for saving Gon from failing his class.
When they told her of their plans to take a trip, Mito approved, happily saying that Gon deserved it after working hard to pass his classes and graduate.
They eventually made it to his room, and Gon was surprised when Killua slammed the door shut.
“Gon Freecss—” He started, grabbing onto his collar and yanking him closer. “You—” Kiss. “Have been driving me—” Kiss. “Absolutely fucking crazy.” Kiss. “Teasing me like that yesterday—” Kiss.
Gon laughed gleefully against his lips, happily kissing him back. He knew that Killua had to be the stronger of the two the previous day, having to resist and hold back his desires for Gon’s sake, even though he was constantly tempting him. But now that nothing was in the way…he had no reason to hold back.
“I’m sorry, professor.” Gon said, grinning as Killua pushed him onto the bed and climbed on top of him. “I couldn’t help myself.” His hands immediately went to Killua’s rear, squeezing him. Gon relished the soft moan that came from his boyfriend’s lips.
“That’s how you sound around chocolate robots.” Gon teased.
“Cheeky bastard.” Killua mumbled, capturing his lips again. “You gonna get me all worked up like this in Yorknew too?”
Gon pulled away in surprise. “Yorknew?” He smiled.
Killua blushed. “Yeah. I thought that could be the first stop on our trip…Somewhere urban and city-like, since we’ve been around nature for a while. There’s a lot going on there—”
Gon sat up immediately. “Yes! That sounds amazing, Killua! I can’t wait to travel with you…To do this every day.” He kissed him again. And again.
And again.
Killua was the brightest star in the sky. The smartest person in every room he walked into. The most interesting, captivating, and downright beautiful person Gon had ever seen in his life.
Gon would always be distracted by Killua. And he didn’t mind it one bit.
