Ralsei and Kris were sitting side by side at the top of the the castle, behind them the fountain flowed incessantly, they looked at the town that extended down there. Castle Town seemed quite populated now; Ralsei was no longer a prince without subjects. Susie was probably having fun with Lancer and enjoying her new room, Noelle and Berdley didn’t know about the Dark World so they could not show Castle Town to them, Kris and Susie decided to remain this hidden realm a secret from their friends.
“I’ve never thought I would see the town with this many people.” Ralsei smiled at the people down there, everyone seems to get along well. “Thank you, Kris.”
Kris also smiled but didn’t respond, they weren’t much of a talker.
“If the Roaring Knight open another fountain, maybe there could be more people to bring here once we seal it.”
“Maybe…” Their smile disappeared, Ralsei didn’t notice, but looked like Kris remembered something he didn’t want to.
The two of them remained silent for a while. Then suddenly, from a place they weren’t sure from. Music echoed through the town, it sounded like it was played from a piano, the song was calm and made Kris feel a little more relaxed.
“This is so good!” Ralsei said with enthusiasm. “The composer must be someone with great talent.”
“I agree.”
Ralsei got up, Kris followed him, thinking he wanted to go downstairs. But instead, they saw a hand extended in their direction. His face looking flushed.
“Kris, would you grant me a dance?”
Kris’ eyebrows lifted in surprise, they smile and hold Ralsei’s left hand with their right hand, Ralsei hold Kris’ shoulder with his right hand and Kris put their left hand on his waist. Then they started moving, it was a bit clumsy at first, but Ralsei seemed to know what he was doing and that way he guided Kris. They spun and moved around the place at the rhythm of the song, looking at each other eyes and smiling.
When the music finally stopped, the two of them heard a voice coming from the door.
“Hey, what’s happening here?” Susie said with a grin.
“No-Nothing!” He jumped away from Kris, his face flushed.
“I think we shouldn’t interrupt those nerds.” Lancer said to her friend before him and the purple lizard leave them alone again.
There was a moment of silence before the same song starts playing again.
“Ralsei.” Kris called for him, making the fluffy boy look at their direction. “What about a second round?”
He smiled and nodded.
