Work Text:
“Babe! Have you seen my hoodie?” A yell came from upstairs, and Draco winced at the volume. How someone so small could be so loud, he would never know. Although, Harry did fill out over the last few years. Case in point, his hoodies were larger than Draco’s despite his superior height.
“Which one?!” he yelled back, hoping Harry heard him.
“The Puddlemore United one I always wear when we go to Ron’s!”
Draco glanced at the dark blue hoodie with a large golden logo on the front.
“Didn’t see it!” he said and flipped a page of a book he was reading. “Is it in the wash?!”
“I checked the wash already!” Harry’s voice carried again, and Draco could hear he was walking downstairs, towards the living room as well as Draco’s current location.
“Are you sure you didn’t see it?” Harry asked, now from the doorway, and Draco said nothing as he buried himself deeper into the hoodie, catching Harry’s scent.
“You’re wearing it, aren’t you?” There was a resigned sigh following the question and Draco looked up to see Harry watching him from the back of the couch.
“It’s not my fault it’s comfortable,” he shrugged, and Harry rolled his eyes. “Besides, out of two of us, it’s me who actually at least a bit interested in Puddlemore. You wear it ironically and in my opinion that gives you less hoodie right than me.”
“Oh yeah?” Harry raised his eyebrows as he pushed Draco’s mile-long legs off a patch of the couch so he could sit down. “Maybe I should stop wearing it altogether then. You can have it all to yourself.”
Harry didn’t last ten seconds before he burst out laughing at Draco’s wide-eyed expression. “I’m kidding, babe. I know you find some perverse joy in stealing my clothes.”
“It’s not perverse!” Draco kicked Harry’s shin with his foot. “They just keep me company when you abandon me all to yourself.”
“You have no idea how wrong that sounds,” Harry commented and then added, “And I don’t abandon you! I go to work! Not all of us can just add an extra room to the house and seclude ourselves for 20 hours a day like some Merlin-forsaken dungeon bats we used to know!”
Draco’s lips curled at the comparison, but he huffed and pointedly turned back to his book. “Semantics.”
Harry laughed again and when Draco went to kick his shin once more, he caught his foot and pulled it in his lap, pressing circles into the exposed skin of Draco’s ankle.
“So, you gonna give me the hoodie so we can go to Ron’s or do I have to find something else to wear?”
“We’re not due to leave for another half an hour,” Draco said after casting a quick Tempus. “I intended to keep it for at least another twenty minutes.”
“Okay, fine,” Harry sighed. “I’ll find something else to wear then.”
“No, wait!” Draco said, practically throwing himself over Harry to stop him from leaving the couch. The poor book he was reading fell on the floor at an unfortunate angle which would definitely result in some nasty page creases.
“What is it, Draco?”
“You can have it,” Draco said and immediately pulled the hoodie off, leaving him in Harry’s old Gryffindor Quidditch Team T-shirt. “The scent’s almost all gone anyway.”
There was nothing for Harry to do but accept the offered hoodie and snicker to himself at the ridiculousness of it all on his way back to the bedroom to find some jeans.
