Chapter Text
Jasmine Williams a 15 year old daughter of Hermes was used to strange situations. It came with being the daughter of a greek god, but this one took the cake. She was alone in cabin 11 when it happened, since today was capture the flag all of her siblings got up early, bit to her request they let her sleep a little longer. Barely after getting dressed a blinding light engulfed her. A resounding voice saying in her mind, "find the others, they need you and you need them for the colosal task ahead" Right after that she fell headfirst into a trash bin. Disgusted she got out so fast she became a literal blur, repeatedly uttering the word ew ew ew ew. Shaking off the grime on her body. Once she was done doing that she looked around at the alley she was in. It was night and there wasn't anyone in sight, but as soon as she got in the streets someone cat called her. She groaned and turned around to a couple of guys a bit older than she was. By the looks of it japanese school boys. "What are you doing here alone at night beautiful?" Jasmine rolled her eyes, sometimes she wished her father wasn't the god of communication, understanding what everyone said could be such a drag at times. "I'm leaving" was all she said "oh come on don't be like that" he tried to lay a hand on her shoulder, but Jasmine slapped it away. He frowned "you know it's dangerous at night, it's usually the time villains take to come out. I could protect you from them."
Jasmine raised an eyebrow "vilains" she thought why was he using that term specifically. He snapped his finger creating a small flickering flame over his index. "Haruto" one of the other boys exclaimed "stop that what if someone sees you!"
"Shut up Aoto, no one will see us if you keep you're mouth shut!" Snarled the first boy. Jasmine was beyond confused, this boy clearly wasn't a demigod. Even with the mist in the picture Jasmine had never met a demigod dumb or arrogant enough to flaunt they're abilities in public. A bad feeling was starting to inflate at the back of her mind. She spun on her heels and walked in the other direction. This time he did grip her shoulder tightly. Jasmine stopped and let out a tired sigh, thinking that he had won her over Aoto leaned forward, but stopped abruptly when Jasmine raised her leg well over her head and slammed her heel between the other boy's legs. Jasmine tried to be nice about it, but if there's one thing she hated it was people who couldn't take a hint. With a pathetic squeak the boy fell to his knees and puked his dinner all over the ground. "What are you waiting for, get her!" He heaved throught the pain, but as soon as they took a step towards her Jasmine snapped her head towards them with a wolf stare. A useful skill a roman sibling shared with her, she hadn't perfected it of course, but it was more than enough to make them back down. They picked up they're friend and ran off. "Weakling" Jasmine huffed to herself as she walked away in search of the 'others' whoever they might be. Because as a Half-blood she knew that when an etheral voice asked you to do something you better not question it yet.
OTHER SIDE OF MUSUTAFU FIVE MINUTES EARLIER.
Being dropped from extremly high above ground was actually a very common occurence for James Allec son of Thor. Although last time or over seventy years ago he had a parachute at least. You read right over seventy years ago. Being fifteen and taller and bigger than the other kids of his age, james had no problem passing as old enough to enter the army when his country needed him in 1941, but the fact that he was let in at such a young age might have been because of something else. He thanked Odin every morning that the KKK wasn't considered benovelent by the majority of people anymore. Still he itched to just jump off the bifrost onto one of these meetings and deliver swift justice, but sadly leaving Hôtel Valhalla wasn't always that simple. On the other hand this seemed to be an exception to the rule, usually the gods aren't as rude as too just give a vague task without a small warning. James was just calmly sharpening his axe in the safety of his room before being blinded and dropped. As he mused James didn't realise how close the ground was getting before he went splat on the pavement. Well not exactly splat, more like the loud crunch of broken concrete flying in every direction. James furiously shook his head clearing his vision. He was sitting up in a him sized crater, he calmly got to his feet in front of a shell shocked crowd of people. He brushed off the dust on his clothes and amiably asked the person nearest to him "excuse me, could you kindly tell ms where I am, I have frankly no idea where I am?"
"J-J-Japan" stuttered the woman in fear "you're in Japan mister"
"Thank you kindly little lady, now if you don't mind I have a lot of work ahead of me." With that James walked off without another word for the poor people still in shock.
THE NEXT MORNING AT DAGOBAH BEACH.
Portals were a normal occurence for River Amelio, the house of life used them constantly when the time was right. Personaly they hated them with a burning passion only rivaled by the heat of Ra, they already had a hard time handling rollercosters and portals were ten times worst, but this was a lot nicer. Even though it was pretty unexpected. One moment they're reading a book in the amazing library of Brooklyn House and the next they were falling headfirst in the sand. They root out they're head from the sand and looked around disgusted at the dump of a beach. Trash of every kind littered the place, they were lucky they didn't land on a rusty knife or something. They climbed on top of a big pile and gazed at the unknown city warily. Something felt wrong, but they couldn't put they're finger on it.
Suddenly they noticed that they still had they're satchel. Thankfully River made sure to stock up on supplies. So they had many shabti's magical string a back up wand and staff and potions along with everything they might need. Letting out a relieved sigh they made they're way into the city unaware of what awaited them.
They quickly noticed that that they had landed in Japan, but even with this new information something still felt off about this place. They got they're answer in the form of the people around them. Mutants would be the best way to describe them. Some even looking like hybrids between humans and animals. River could only come to the conclusion that they were somehow transported to another world. They were both fascinated and terrified, with no idea what to do they just wandered around the city looking for some sort of sign. They turned around in a street only to slam into someone. The person was dressed in jeans and just a vest, but that was far from the most particular thing about him. He had some sort of horse like head that made River wonder how a normal human could have even given birth to that, but to be fair she could count about a dozen situations weirder than that she witnessed. Like the banishment of a literal god of chaos, but that was something they hated to remember. Apophis was better where he was, in the darkness slowly being forgoten or ignored by the people he harmed. The man didn't bother apologising and kept running like his life depended on it, a handbag clutched in his hands. Soon a man who seemed to be made out of wood swung after him via a flexible branch. If River wasn't shocked enough by they're situation the apparent robber panicked and nearly in the blink of an eye stood at nearly thirty feet tall. (A.U I'm only saying that because he seemed to be nearly half the size of mountain lady who is in the sixty feet tall department.) River blinked at the new development, they didn't run in the other direction like the rest of the people did. Instead they walked towards the danger curiously trying to figure how it worked. Was it magic? Was it biological? Was it a bit of both? They didn't get far as the local police already got a safety perimeter set up around a railway. Which the criminal chose to jump on for some reason.
From inside the crowd Jasmine examined the situation. Assuming that person weight augmented at the same as his size then if he moved too much the railway could potentially break. Whoever this spandex clad tree man was he'd better hurry. River considered jumping in, but they didn't know how the people of this world would react, they didn't want to end up on the wrong end of a japanese Salem witch trials thank you very much, but they might have to overlook that because the giant man made small craters with each steps as he stomped towards the tree man. Who lept out of the way swinging under the bridge and back onto it. River heard a bunch of girlish voices squeal so loud they're ears started to hurt. Although they did somehow manage to catch a name, Kamui Wood. They strained they're ears and heard said Kamui Wood call this petty thief pure evil. River instantly deadpanned ok maybe i'll need to step in, if he thinks that's pure evil he should meet an actual demon with a bloody saw for a head." Kamui Wood dodged a hit that went right into the bridge making River wince as more cracks appeared in it. "He's about to use his super move yelled an oblivious fan girl. This immediatly turned everyone's attention on him and not what he was fighting on. "Laceration chain prison!" This time River facepalmed, what was even the use of being loud and flashy in the middle of a fight in public space, that could level said public space. He needed this as quickly as possible, not to put on a show! Just as the branches nearly reached the criminal a voice yelled "canyon kick!" A even bigger figure jumped kicked the criminal into a building. It was a giant blond haired woman in white purple and orange spandex, with the criminal taken down she gave her name, being Mountain Lady and said something about this being her debut. She then shook her giant butt at over a dozen rabid photographers. River was pretty sure that none of them were even profesionals.
Also they were certain to be in some sort of hell. Everyone had they're attention on the glory hog even Kamui Wood. So none of them noticed that the railway was about to break, and a train was on it's way. Gasping River jumped over the police tape and ran over the railway. "Oh my first fan" exitedly said Mountain Lady, but River went completly past her. Kamui Wood looked at the giant lady smugly believing that this was a fan of his, but once again River didn't say a word. They just patiently stood under the railway as it continued cracking. They hoped that this would be enough to catch the so called heroes attentions. The railway suddenly started falling into pieces earning gasps of horror from the crowd, but as soon as that happened a giant blue shell of holographic energy appeared around River in the shape of a giant bird headed being. An Ibis to be exact, the bird of the god who's path they chose. Thoth the god of knowledge was knowledgable in every field of magic, which is what River aimed to be, but it didn't mean that they were exactly good at it. Holding the pieces together with they're giant palms was already hard, but when the train past on it River felt like her muscles were about to burst. A battle avatar of this size was already hard to summon, keeping it up was another story entirely, but they held on. If they didn't lots of people would die. River would go as far as to say that if they hadn't just intervened nobody would have been saved at all. Once the weight of the train passed over them, River dropped the railway. Thankfully the crowd had stayed behind the yellow police tape, so no rubbles fell on anyone. The battle avatar receeded back into nothingness as River fell to they're knees out of exhaustion. Carter was right, this was like sprinting that's how River felt at least. Like they just tried to hold a sprint much longer than what they were actually capable of. They knew that the House of Life's moto was to always be discrete, but they didn't really have a choice now did they. The two 'heroes' ran towards them, Mountain Lady now at a normal height and scowling. River internally groaned, this was going to be fun. Kamui Wood gazed at the giant pieces of rubbles previously held by the foreign teenager. "This was brave citizen" he began flamboyantly "but that is not how we do things in Japan!"
"Oh what do you let an entire train worth of people fall to they're deaths?" River snarked in near flawless japanese. Following the path of Thoth made learning anything much easier for them, including languages. Mountain Lady full on glared "you're under arrest for illegal usage of you're quirk young lady, now follow me?"
"Now I don't think that is necessary, plus he does have a point. We should have been more vigilant."
"They" exasperatedly muttered River not thinking that anyone was actually listening to them. "Forgive me, they have a point" Kamui Wood corrected himself, much to River's surprise. "You'd make a great hero with you're quirk, maybe consider joining UA, but next time just yell a warning young citizen. It is best to not risk you're life when pros are around!" With that he swung away and saluted the crowd. With one last glare Mountain Lady stomped away. "I can't tell if they're incompetent or just new at this." River muttered to themselves as they started walking away. They groaned when a crowd of journalist started running after them. "Well you reap what you sow" river thought as they ran, out of breath and nearly depleted of energy the next divine word needed to be used perfectly because they weren't getting another shot. Turning sharply into an alley River said "I'mun" the Egyptian word for hide. Suddenly they're whole body was invisible. "She went here" yelled a reported, but when the man turned around along with his fellow leaches they saw nothing. A cameraman slapped the reporter in the back of the head before running up the street with the others soon to be followed by the confused reporter. River gasped loudly and sat down against a wall. "I need a nap" they puffed laying they're head against the bricks.
MUSUTAFU POLICE DEPARTMENT.
"Detective Naomassa I think you should take a look at this" a police officer in uinform said entering the detective's office and handing a USB key. Curiously the detective put the key in his computer and watched the footage of a street camera pointed straight into an alleyway. Suddenly the image was bathed in white and someone fell into a dumpster. Barely even a second there was a blur and now the dumpster was empty, but now a black haired girl in an orange t-shirt stood there patting off whatever trash on her body so fast her limbs were actual blurrs. The girl walked into the street and was harassed a bit by a boy. The detective winced as he was kicked where the sun doesn't shine so hard he flew off his feet a bit. The next feed showed a street "what am I supposed to see?"
"Give it a second" the officer said, just then another blur appeared on the video. It landed so hard that it dug a small crater in the ground. The dark skinned man casually stood up from his landing point and walked away as if nothing happened. The next he had already seen, it was the now famous video of a teenage girl saving a train. Tsukauchi frowned at the illegal use of the admitedly impressive quirk. "You believe that these events are connected?"
"A couple of foreign teenagers who appear out of nowhere with two of them most likely making illegal use of they're quirks, yes I do. The fact that we found literally nothing about any of them is concerning as well."
"Good point i'll look into it."
"Thank you sir" the officer nodded and left leaving the detective with his thoughts. He picked up his phone and called someone who could find these kids much faster than he ever could.
WITH JASMINE
It only took a few hours for the daughter of Hermes to figure out she had somehow been taken to another world. Which seemed like a job for Percy Jackson in her opinion, but she didn't have the time to complain. She needed all of her focus to pickpocket people. Not very heroic, but she didn't really have a choice. She needed new clothes and for that she needed the right currency. She noticed a man in a suit occupied with a phonecall, but at a closer look his watch was cheap as hell so he was actually lucky to not be rich on this day. After an hour and a half of circiling the same place she ended up with just enough to buy proper clothes. She walked to the nearest shopping district and got herself a beige jacket with loads of pockets on the inside along with a backpack a new pair of jeans and a black t-shirt with the kanji that read troublemaker in bold red. It was bit more expensive than she expected, but she couldn't help herself. After that she went to buy some ramen at a small restaurant. As she calmly ate from the still steaming bowl a couple of men in really expensive suits carrying katanas walked in. The local 'protection' Jasmine guessed. She's from New York born and raised, it's not her first time seeing a Yakuza. "Aimi how are you doing today?" The leader asked in a clearly false kind voice, resting the handle of his katana on the edge of the counter. "I don't have enough money today" stuttered the nice old woman who gave me half the price because I didn't have the money. "It's what you said last week Aimi, you had until today, you know i'm a patient man, but my patience has limi--"
* SLUUUUUURRRRP *
Jasmine cut him off by loudly and obnoxiously drinking her ramen from the bowl. She knew for a fact that people who called themselves patient are actually the one with the shortest fuse. And if fighting a bunch of Yakuzas meant that she could spare this angel of a lady a beating then they could bring it on. With an annoyed look the man started walking towards Jasmine. "No please Botan she's a foreigner she doesn't know what she's doing." The old woman begged only for another Yakuza to threateningly shake his katana, silencing her. Botan was in his early thirties with a small mustache and long black hair slicked backward. "You better run off before you get hurt little gir--" Jasmine slurped again cutting him off, Botan slapped the bowl away from her hands, but Jasmine didn't even flinch. She just kept her hands in front of her like she still had the delicious ramen in her hands. "Well there goes my dinner" she muttered "get out" Botan ordered. Jasmine hummed "how about instead you buy me another bowl and don't beat the ass, of you and you're" she squinted her eyes at them "one two three back up bitches into the next sunday how does that sound?" She looked at the Yakuzas surrounding her with a wide smile. Suddenly Botan tried to unsheath his blade only for jasmine to grab the sheath and slam it back into place, pushing him back. She jabbed the one on her right in the nuts and pushed her legs against the table. Kicking off her chair in the stomach of the one behind him, she then slammed her foot in his face from her chair. She had the time to slam her elbow in the face of the bent over Yakuza and performed a cartwheel out of her chair, right before Botan sliced it in half with his sword. "You know you're gonna have to pay for it, and I don't mean my food." Botan savagely began slashing at her in response, but he was oh so painfully slow for her. It was almsot like fighting against a slug. If slug were angry gangsters with a taste for violence wielding a katana. He sliced off the part of the table she was leaning on just a second ago. "Ooooo where did you get that sharp ass sword, I could use one like that." She quipped, Botan angrily slashed at her stomach, but Jasmine merely spun away at a blinding speed. "Why are you so angry we're just talking?" Asked Jasmine as she lounged on one of the table. Botan sliced it too, but again Jasmine was no longer there. "I mean it's not like you're ever going to hit me with anyway." Botan spun around to the table behind him where Jasmine was innocently seated and kicking off her legs. The gangster raised the katana high above his head. Jasmine sent a quick deadpanned look at the shellshocked Aimi and leaned her body backward kicking Botan with both of her legs in the chest. The ammount of speed used threw him accross the room into a wall hard enough to leave a crack, rolling backward off the table Jasmine landed on her feet and gave a showman bow, at the alive, but severly humiliated Botan. Who quickly fell into uncounsciousness. Jasmine slowly turned her head towards the last Yakuza who stayed behind and was shackily holding his katana in a offensive manner, but in his panic left the sheath on.
"Booh!" Jasmine stomped her foot and the Yakuza flinched running away. Chuckling Jasmine proceeded to steal from every knocked out gangsters and kept enough to live for a few days. The rest went to Aimi who tried to deny it, but Jasmine insited "please a sweet old lady like you deserves to live in a better place. Beside they'll assume it's me instantly so don't you worry. They might come to question you, but all you'll have to tell is what you know. Which is practically nothing." Hesitantly the old lady took the money making Jasmine wink at her. As if nothing happened Jasmine started walking away back into the district where a group of police officers were walking towards the restaurant. Jasmine slowly turned around in the other direction. She didn't stop when the officer called after her to do so. Luckily for Jasmine a small crowd of people just done with they're shopping started filtering into the street. Smirking Jasmine effortlessly melded into the crowd and followed the flow. She even walked right past them without anyone noticing. All except one tired looking man who definetly wasn't didn't look like a police officer. He followed her with his dry eyes and followed the flow of the crowd just like she was doing.
AIZAWA SHOUTA FIRST PERSON POV
When Naomassa asked me to come by his office I didn't expect it to be over a couple of troublemaking kids, but the videos he had of them were interesting and slightly worrying as well. By the looks of it these kids just didn't know the rules, but they also didn't even have an identity. So to make sure they weren't vilains in training I kept an open ear for anything weird on the police radio. When a call came in about a black haired foreigner fighting a bunch of Yakuzas, I went to take a look with the police, but we were all surprised to see that the girl didn't even have a scratch on her. Tsukauchi did say she might have a speed enhancement quirk. Maybe it helped her fight them off. She quickly walked into a crowd, but she was in my radar. She cleverly used the direction of the crowd to walk right past us. I had to give it to her, she clearly did this before and she's now pretty good at it. I followed the crowd myself and noticed that her pace was getting increasingly quicker. Increasing mine ever so slightly made her suddenly turn into an alley. I ran after her, but all I caught was a glimpse of her as she easily scaled up the wall. Wrapping my capture tool around a pipe I launched myself on the roof where my mistery teen was running away like an olympic level athlete. I ran after her on the uneven surfaces, but I couldn't catch up in the slightest. Her speed was something else and she didn't even look like she was trying. So I tried another tactic "i'm just here to talk!"
"Then stop chasing me you fucking weirdo!" She replied in flawless japanese. So language barrier wasn't a problem and she's got an attitude, that's just great. I slid to a stop and she did the same the second after. "Who are you?" She demanded "I should be asking you that, no adress no passeport not even a fake name."
"You probably wouldn't believe me" she said her voice tainted with exasperation. "Try me, weird is in my job description." She shook her head, "you have no idea who or what I am and i'd rarher keep it that way. Unless you have a perfect lie detector i'm not going anywhere. "I do have one." She scoffed "yeah and I was being sarcastic" she sped off again, but this time she was so fast I could barely see her. "Damn it" I muttered, going back down I went to the restaurant where she was only a few minutes ago. There I found another surprising sight, three Yakuzas groaning or uncounscious on the ground. So she had skills too, Tsukauchi was right. If these kids each have something in common I hope It's not skills.
RIVER 3RD PERSON POV
After sleeping off most they're exhaustion River went on they're way to anywhere they could get informations. Luckily they found an internet cafe. There they researched about quirks. The immediate definition is a near supernatural ability that can vary from mondaine to god like. Well they'd be the judge of that. As they researched River was relieved to see that no quirk recorded in the history of this world came even close to the powers of Egyptian deities. Remembering Kamui woods words they researched about UA. It was a prestigious academy that trained future heroes. If the majority anything like that mountain lady then this world is doomed." Maybe they should consider joining it. They could get a provisional liscence and use some magical abilities hidden in plain sight. Perfect for whatever task ahead of them. Who knows UA might have things to teach that they don't already know.
After a few minutes they got tired of browsing and decided to take a walk. Which happened to be a mistake, barely after turning into another street multiple police cars pulled up next to them. "You are under arrest for illegal use of you're quirk." Began an old and nearly obese officer as he exited his vehicule "and saved hundreds of lives" protested River, but the officer didn't care about that. Absolutely wanting to cause a scene, but not having enough strenght to summon an element or a divine word. River let the police take them quietly. To the protests of the people around them as they knew what River had done barely a few hours earlier. When they got there the police took River's fingerprints and took pictures. River flipped off the photograph on each of them. Now with a record River wondered what the japanese police force was going to do when they discovered River didn't have an identity. Well they were going to laugh at the man's stupid fat face for sure. Said man had violently ripped they're satchel from them. Now that they think about it they might have enough energy to turn him into an actual pig. River was shoved in a communal cell and almost fell face first if it wasn't for someone grabbing the back of they're shirt. River looked up at the dark skinned teenager who clearly wasn't from Japan. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah i'm fine thanks" River said sitting down on a bench. The boy sat next to them, "these officers are real jerks aren't they."
"Yeah" River agreed "what are you in for?"
"I nearly crippled over a dozen poeple having a gang war not too far from here. I did the right thing and basically defended myself, but they didn't care. Aparently if you're not a pro." He made quotation marks "then you can't use you're quirk." Another quotation mark as if he didn't understand the terminology. As far as River was aware Quirk was the term used almost everywhere. "I'm River Amelio."
"James Allec" they both shook hands and River took a closer look at her fellow prisoner. Very muscular military buzzcut he even had dog tags, but when River looked at his eyes they smirked. Blue, but not a natural one, it seemed to shift between dark and bright blue. As if lightning was striking in a bright cloudless summer day. Then there was his aura, it was quite literally crackling with energy. "You're not from around here are you?"
"Well I am American" James answered unsure of where River was coming from. "I'm from L.A myself, but that's not what I meant. "What did you mean then?" Curiously asked the son of Thor. "I meant from this realm." James eyes widdened "who's you're godly parent"/"what nome are you from." They asked at the same time "godly parent?/"Gnome?"
"No not gnome nome the an HQ of the house of life, when you say godly parent do you mean which path?"
James furiously shook his head beyond confused "no i'm the son of Thor."
"Wait, wait wait Thor? You mean the 'norse' god?!" They whispered furiously. James nodded as River scanned him for lies, but of course they found none. "Oh damn it it's happening again."
"What are you talking about?" River sighed "ok let's take this from the start, i'm River Amelio, i'm the descendant of the pharaos of ancient Egypt. Which gives me the ability to perform magic. I follow the path of the gods or to be more precise the path of Thoth. Egyptian god of knowledge, I draw certain special powers from him. Now you're turn." James was surprised to say the least, but he answered anyway "i'm James Allec i'm an einherjar. An undead warrior of Odin, my blood father is Thor God of strenght war fertility and thunder, also oak trees, but that's not as important."
"Ok... Wait did you just say undead?!" James nodded "I was in the first infantry division in world war two."
"You were there at D-day" whispered River in horror. James oblivious to said horror went on to say "yes and I somehow survived and found another demigod behind ennemy lines not too long after that. We killed each other and both found ourselves in Valhalla. And let me tell you that was the probably most akward experience of my life, well afterlife." River blinked at the demigod blankly and decided that they could freak out over this later. "Ok I can free us using a divine word, but I don't know how much energy it might take so be ready to carry me if--" River was cut off by a small tink. They looked down at the broken cuffs of James. "Oh i'm sorry did I interupt you, I didn't mean to be impolite."
"No no it's fine, uh why didn't you do that earlier?"
"Well I didn't want to be rude and wreck they're place. So I played along, but I think this is worth being rude." He swiftly broke River's cuffs. "Ok now what" they asked. James barely took a running start and ran throught the concrete wall like it was made of cardboard. "Ok I am loving this whole demigod buisness already." They smiled, but before they could run out someone called them. "We just want to ask you questions." River hesitated, they didn't want to end up on the run, but could they just trust two random men. One who looked like he just got out of bed and the other looking like a stereotypical detective from a cop flick. James peeked his head from the hole he just made, if we do will you leave us alone?"
"Sure" answered the tired man before anyone else. "Let's hear em out it's not like they can stop us from escaping again. "Good point, ok we'll hear you out, but if we see even a single hand twitch toward they're firearms we're reducing this place to rubbles."
James walked back in and with a big smile casually bended the metal bars outward so he and River could pass. The magician walked out they're head held high as they were escorted to an interrogation room.
There the detective introduced himself as Tsukauchi Naomassa. The foreigner didn't bother giving they're names. "My Quirk allows me to tell who tells the truth or not, see me as a living lie detector. Now please tell me who both of you are."
River and James shared a glance, looking back at the detective they went on to tell him what they had told each other. Adding that they were from another reality of course. As they went on detective Tsukauchi's disbelief grew. Aizawa slammed his hands on the table. Neither of them flinched "stop playing with us!"
"They aren't" breathed the detective. "What! Tsukauchi you can't be serious something must be wrong with you, maybe they did something to you."
"And how exactly would we have done that?" Challenged River. "They're telling the truth Aizawa."
"Well even if they are we can't let them go they broke several laws and--"
"Can escape this place at any given time with a trail of bodies don't test us." Aizawa glared at them and took a deep breath. I'll call a meeting with Nedzu, I want to see you and those kids there. "I'm 93 years old" protested James. "And you cost around two million dollars of colateral damage to the city!" James raised his finger and immediatly lowered it and shrugged "fair enough."
"Now all I have to do is find the other one, preferably before the next meeting."
"The other one?"
"Yes a girl with super speed unlike anything i've seen before. Know anything about that?"
River shook her head "some path can grant enhanced physiology, but nothing like what you've just described. What about you James?"
He shook his head "there is Hermod, but as far as I am aware he has no children's, perhaps this girl is from another, another pantheon." "this is starting to sound like such a headache" River groaned. "Tell me about" said Tsukauchi who looked like he needed a drink. "In the meantime--"
"We'll help you find her." Aizawa was ready to argue, but James was the one to cut him off this time "we were sent here by someone who want us to find each other. For what we still have no idea, but don't you think it would be extremly important if three people from another universe from different pantheons were sent to you're world. It's not going to be pretty."
"Fine" Aizawa relented with a sigh. "Ok, now go get my satchel i'm going to need it, chop chop." River snapped they're fingers making Aizawa scowl "And don't forget my mace" (imagine Modi's mace from god of war) James called after him. A few minutes later River was reunited with they're equipment and a new ally felt confident that they could overcome anything ahead of them.
JASMINE 3RD PERSON POV
"Maybe this isn't so bad" Jasmine told herself as she walked aimlessly. Even if she wasn't going home anytime soon she hadn't encountered a monster yet so that was a major plus. And the police was pretty lazy with all those 'pros' around. Right, most of them wouldn't care about a small time pickpocket like her. She suddenly tensed at the as an explosion resounded from further into the city. She was immediatly brought back to the battle of New-York.
Fight or flight, it's a split decision for the human brain to make. The last time she had to make it she hated herself for what she chose.
She ran, but this time not away from the danger, this time not away from someone who could need her. Wasting no time she ran at top speed creating a gust of wind in her path. Soon she saw the smoke rising in the sky and followed it. When she got there she fell on a concerning sight that unveiled itself in slow motion. An entire district was on fire, and in the middle of it stood a monstrous creature that looked like dirty green slime, with eyes and teeth. A blond haired boy barely as old as she was in it's grasp, but someone had gotten there before she did. He had green hair and wore the same uniform as the boy's she met yesterday. He was clawing at the monster desperatly trying to free the other boy. A sharp tendril was slowly slamming towards him. Her heart filled with rage as she saw the so called heroes of this world standing by and doing nothing. With the situation analysed Jasmine sped towards the other boy and grabbed him before he got himself killed. To anyone who didn't possess super speed this all happened in a split second. One moment the green haired boy was about to get himself killed and the next he was in front of the crowd of people gathered there. Seated and disoriented, but unarmed he looked up at the back of his savior. Jasmine calmly chucked her coat at him "can you keep this for me, it's brand new." With a small wink she sprinted towards the monster. It's body clearly wasn't affected by normal attacks so she was gonna need to start getting clever. That boy didn't have much longer. Running around the creature and dodging it's every attempt at touching her, the wind started picking up from the sheer speed. Soon enough there was a powerful whirlwind surrounding the vilain with it it's body started fragmenting. When it's hold on the blonde started loosening Jasmine made a wide curve around her ennemy and made one last sprint, just as the whirlwind dissipated Jasmine ripped the other boy out and carried him to safety. She leaned against a wall to catch her breath. Never had she tried to run that fast, she wasn't even sure she could do it. "This" she panted "just might be the first time I need to catch my breath" she breated with a small laugh. She stood back from the wall as the villain regrouped all of it's fallen bits.
"I'm going to kill you!" Roared the vilain, Jasmine scoffed "you can always try slimy" she sprinted as fast as she could towards the vilain with the intent to rip out one of it's eyes, but shade one fatal mistake. She didn't look on what she was running. She suddenly stopped in her tracks as the slime solidified around her legs. She was pulled towards it and for a moment she thought she was going to be next on the list of consumed victims, but before he could fully grasp her a glowing fist slammed in between them. Jasmine looked up at the small bird headed giant as it grabbed her from the ground. Someone perched on it's shoulder lept from it wielding a mace crackling with electricity. The figure slammed their weapon on the ground creating a small shockwave of powerful electricity that finally incapacitated the vilain, who turned into a motionless puddle. The holographic construct slowly faded away revealing a bent over teenager who looked even more tired than Jasmine was. Bright brown eyes surrounded by dark rings and short blonde hair matted with sweat. Jasmine genuinely couldn't tell if she was looking at a boy or a girl. They had sharp, but soft features that made it impossible to tell. "You ok she asked?"
"Yeah just tired" suddenly a brown skinned boy with a mace resting on his shoulder and slapped them in the back hard enough to make them gasp for air. "That was glorious" he yelled "and you" he spun on Jasmine with a wide smile making her tense up in case of painfully friendly pat on the back. "You are fast as the wind that's amazing!"
Before Jasmine could demand who they were and what they wanted the trio was surrounded by a couple of pro hero's. "You again" exclaimed Mountain Lady pointing at River who rolled they're eyes. "They're with me" a voice said from above. Aizawa landed next to them with a scowl "you were supposed to wait for me."
"But you were too slow" complained James. Aizawa's eye twitched "ok now you've found you're friend let's go."
"Wait a minute I don't know you people."
"True, but we know you're not from here." River said putting heavy emphasis on the last word. Jasmine narrowed her eyes at the magician. "Fine, but if this is a trap i'm dropping you off a building."
"Fair enough" River shrugged while James didn't really care since there wasn't a building in this city tall enough to kill him from a fall. "Can someone tell ms what's happening" snapped Mountain Lady. "No" came the simultanious reply of the teenagers. "That's enough, i'm taking care of the situation, so no need to stir up anymore trouble." Aizawa said as he walked towards the crowd.
"And where are you taking us" demanded Jasmine crossing her arms.
Without turning around Aizawa answered "UA high."
