It was her. He was absolutely certain of it. If it wasn't for the hundreds of years separating them, he would have thought his wife had a long lost twin. And when he 'accidentally' bumped into her and helped her up, he had also reached in with his magic to feel her soul. And it was Elizabetha's.
Dracula grinned and summoned a few peeping eyes as the other inhabitants of the castle watched him warily. They'd never seen their Master like this before. He didn't notice them, lost in thought about how to get Elisabetha back. He would have to careful. As much as it pained him to not wisk her away to the castle immediately, he did have to show restraint. It wouldn't do to frighten her way. Elisabetha - oh she was going as Lisa for right now - didn't remember him. She would in time. And he could get used to calling her Lisa until she did.
It wasn't long before the eyes began sending information back. It had barely been a week and he already knew a half dozen ways to insert himself into Eliza Lisa's routine. There were some discrepancies. Things Elisabetha hated before but loved not. Things she was indifferent towards but loathed now. It was okay. It would all be fixed once she remembered. Then Elisabetha would be herself again.
He wouldn't tell her about Leon. Or Sara. Of course, Elisabetha would forgive him eventually if she found out. She had always been willing to give people second chances. But once she returned he didn't want to waste a moment on a pointless argument. He would tell her about the Crimson Stone. She wouldn't need to know how Bernhard had been killed.
He was cutting it close, being outside this early in the evening. But she was there. In the clearing where they had first met for the second time.
"Miss Lisa, I didn't expect to run into you again.."
