• In response to a prompt by Anonymous in the Hopekook Fest 2021 collection.

Prompt:

 

Hoseok is an old vampire king that has been absent from the world for so long that people think that he either died or that he never existed in first place.
He is old and tired, the world is boring and predictable, caught in never ending loop of war and slaughter.
And this is the begining of new cycle, another war is brewing on the horizont.
In the old days he would be merciful and he would step in to help others but he stopped doing that hundreds years ago. Since he is bored he decided to observe the war as close as possible in his old Kingdom of Korea.
On journey back he gets attacked by vampires and before he can get rid of the pesky threat he gets saved by a rag tag group of creatures with Jungkook as their leader.
Jungkook and his merry band of creatures are on a secret mission to stop the war before it's too late. Kook is a young overeager pup that wants to save the world.
Hoseok for the first time in centuries feels something else than apathy.
As a detergent against his never ending boredom he decides to join the band, while pretending to be a young weak flegling.
