Work Text:
“oh my god.”
he got out of the car and took the umbrella. he ran over the guy that cowered and let his body wet by the downpour.
“hey, i’m sorry. are you okay?”
the guy who got that question didn’t budge.
“i’m so sorry for intervene. but let’s move first, you’ll get sick.”
he chaperoned that guy to the bench that had a roof.
“i don’t know what’s actually going on. but may i know your name?”
“sunghoon.”
“mine is jay.”
“oh jay,” he answered casually. “um, jay. can i get a hug?”
“pardon?”
“hug.”
“o-oh sure.” he hugged sunghoon warmly until sunghoon felt enough.
“thank you, i feel better now.”
and than sunghoon realized, “oh my, your clothes! i’m sorry.”
“haha it’s okay, it’s not a big deal.”
“but, still. why did you not refuse me earlier,” sunghoon said with pouty lips.
“cute,” jay tried to hide his smile.
“um, what?”
“nevermind. anyways, where’s your home? let me take you home.”
“no no no, thanks for your offer. but i can go home by myself.”
“you already wet my clothes and now you refuse me, how cruel.”
“huh? i already said sorry tho.”
“hm, it’s not enough. how about i take you home and i’ll forgive you?”
sunghoon sighed, “alright alright.”
after 30 minutes driving, they arrived at sunghoon’s house.
“jay, thank you so much. you’re so kind.”
“sure, anytime.” jay smiled.
when sunghoon wanted to go out of jay’s car, “wait hoon, can i have your number?”
“uh?”
“um.. just in case i need to.. um..” jay confused.
sunghoon chuckled, “hey, don’t be anxious like that.”
jay scratched his neck that actually didn’t itch.
“here’s my number. text me when you already arrive at your home, okay?”
“okay,” jay replied.
sunghoon got out of jay’s car, “drive safely, jay. see you next time. bye bye!”
“bye.”
after that incident, they became closer. hang out together or just stayed on jay’s flat for drinking coffe together at a midnight, cuddle, also, shared kiss.
that night, as usual, sunghoon stayed on jay's flat. they sat on the balcony and enjoyed the night.
“jay.”
“hm?”
“what are we?”
“what? what do you mean?” jay confused.
“no, nevermind.” sunghoon laughed awkwardly. “can you take me home, now?”
“so sudden? why? you can stay overnight, like always.”
“just take me home, okay?” his voice became trembled.
“hoon? are you okay?” jay faced sunghoon and found a river under his eyes. “hoon,” jay hugged him.
“i’m tired. why you treated me like your lover that in fact we’re just— we’re just friends.”
jay felt slapped at that moment, “i’m sorry.”
“no, no need to say sorry. i think that it’s just me who felt like that.”
jay didn’t give any words.
“let’s end this.”
“what do you mean?”
“take me home and let’s pretend that we didn’t have met before.”
“no.”
“okay, then. i can go home by myself. as i should, right?” sunghoon wanted to stand up, but jay restrained him.
“stay, please.”
“for what? did you mean that i should hurt myself more?”
jay kissed him, without alert. sunghoon just stayed still there without knowing what should he do.
jay put his hands on sunghoon’s cheeks, “you should know, hoon. i love you so much, i really do. i might be crazy if you go earlier. i’m so sorry that i look like didn’t serious with you. i just feel that i should make sure that i really really love you before i talk to you. this is my fault tho.” jay said desperately because him scared that sunghoon would leave him.
sunghoon choked up, “j-jay..”
“i’m so sorry. please, stay here.”
sunghoon hugged him tightly, “i-i’m sorry too.”
the atmosphere became full of silence.
jay wiped his tears, “so, what about you become my lover then?”
“w-what if i didn’t accept you?” sunghoon asked him back.
“i know that you’re not gonna do that, honey.”
sunghoon’s blushed, “don’t call me like that.”
“why? it’s cute tho,” jay chuckled. “how? yes or no?”
“how can i say no.”
“just say you love me then.” he pecked sunghoon’s lips.
“jayyy!!!”
they spent their night with warm hugged also talked about anything like there’s no tomorrow. jay finally took sunghoon’s on his house, jay’s heart.
