Arthur's eyes flutter open and he jolts upright, glancing around.
He's awoken on his bed in the Derse tower, and his mind's fuzzy for a moment before he remembers what he's supposed to be doing. His waking self is asleep—ironic—so he can follow through with the situation on Derse.
But, more importantly, he needs to check on his friends, and he pulls his phone out. He's not going to question how the fuck it turned up in his dreaming self's pocket—it's one of the more believable situations he's found himself in since entering this godforsaken game.

AC: Did you make it to Dwrse?
AC: Derse
GG: dwrse
CC: yeah I'm here
CC: are you guys okay?
GG: peachy
AC: I am fine thsnk you.
CC: Lewis, question; why did you change your PC color after you died?
GG: metrobi discrimination
CC: Vivi shut up
AC: I jyst felt like a chanfe.
AC: Just
AC: Change
CC: your fingers really are too fucking big
GG: makes it easy to paint his nails tho!!
AC: Vivi I thought that was a privste thing betwren you and me.
AC: Private
AC: Between
CC: do you honestly think I'd mind??? you guys know I paint mine
GG: he said it was something about how youre older so you might think he like copied his senpai oniichan
AC: Vivi that is not what I said.
CC: Vivi I thought you spoke Japanese?

AC: VOVI THAT IS NOT WHQT I SAIF EITHWR.

CC: I don't understand either of you
CC: anyway I should be going I've got to figure my own stuff out over here
CC: Lewis can you meet me at your tower or are you on Prospit right now
AC: I'm trying to lpok for Vivi.
CC: Prospit then
AC: Look
CC: okay well I'll check in on your guys later
AC: Okay. Good luck.
GG: yeah sorry cool sure thing
GG: oh but wait theres one more thing before you go
CC: ?
GG: so lew and i have been talkin and we thought like nows probably not the best time but lews already half died so looks like we should just get it out there yknow in case we all die for good or some shit
CC: Vivi what? don't say that we'll get out of here
AC: Vivi don't talk like thst.
GG: is this okay by the way lew?
AC: That
AC: Yes.
CC: what's going on?
GG: okokok
GG: *clears throat*
GG: arthur kingsmen, dersite knight of time, would you take lewis pepper, dersite prince of hope, and i, vivi yukino, prospitian witch of rage, as your potentially eternal datemates?
Arthur's breath stops.
CC: i

CC: what?
Is this some sort of joke?
GG: you heard me silly!
GG: or read m
GG: same thing
CC: I know but
CC: are you serious?
GG: yes dummy!!!!!
AC: Of course we are.
CC: you want me to... be your boyfriend?
They can't really mean that. Can they?
AC: Yes.
GG: yes!!!
GG: youre the sweetest most caring guy we know and we both really really like you
CC: Lewis? is that true?
It takes a minute or two for Lewis to carefully type out his response.
AC: Yes. We both like you very much and we would very much like to date you. Together. You don't see it but you're so kind and hardworking. You always put others before yourself, even to your detriment, and even now you're doing all in your power to help save this session. Vivi and I love you. We just hope you feel the same way.
Arthur can feel tears burning in his eyes, and he hurriedly swipes them away.
CC: YES
CC: I mean
CC: of course
CC: how couldn't I
CC: you're both amazing
GG: we know ;p
AC: Thank you. You're amazing too, Arthur.
CC: just one more time
CC: you're both serious?
GG: yes!!!!!!!!!!!
AC. Absolutely.
GG: when we see you next were gonna kiss you all over your silly face!!!!!
His cheeks are burning, but finally, Arthur manages a smile.
CC: I can't wait
GG: we cant either mister!!! now go save derse!!!!!!
AC: Good luck. We love you.
CC: i
CC: I love you too. <3

Pocketing his phone, Arthur takes a deep breath and turns to the tower window.
Well, if he didn't already have enough incentive to save the universe, he certainly does now.
