Peter had never looked at James Wright, he had a rangy languor that didn’t interest Peter one bit. Also he had twenty years on Peter. There was nothing at all to attract him. Just another watcher, wrapped up in drama. He might as well have been a sack of potatoes, boring potatoes. Not that Peter had much in the way in sexual drives. Most of his that was taken care with one night stands, in anonymous hotel rooms where no one used real names or saw each other again.
Then one day James was dead and new man had taken over as Jonah’s host. There was something about this Elias Bouchard, a shimmer, an edge, a spark in those cold grey eyes that hadn’t been there before. He liked the way Elias moved, the way his face wore that smile, the new sharpness of this host... And of course Elias Bouchard was few years younger than Peter. Before there had been nothing between them, less than nothing, now the tension during a normal meeting could light a match.
Peter wanted to run, he wanted to hide yet like he found himself coming back to Elias Bouchard.
Peter thought nothing would come of it, Elias had an institute to run, just because he stared and grinned didn’t mean anything he did that to everyone. But then there was a donor meeting.
“Peter will you stay behind?” He asked. “I have a few things to go over with you privately.”
Peter watched as the rest of the donors filed out, and felt the twist of lust in his gut, hot and uncomfortable. Could he do it, could he spend time alone with Elias? No, he’d make some excuse and …. The door had shut and the other donors had left. He was alone with Elias Bouchard.
“I know what you want,” Elias said circling him like predator.
“Uhhhh,” Peter stumbled. “What did you want to discuss again?”
Elias tapped his hand.”Come now, don’t be so naive, I know exactly what you’ve been thinking… show me.”
Peter grinned, he closed in on him. They kissed in a rush of tongues and teeth, stripping off clothes in a frenzy and Peter HAD him, right there on the table. It was amazing, passionate, angry and afterwards Peter KNEW, He knew that he’s come back to Elias over and over just for this alone.
