Iksun is in Seoul for the weekend and is staying at Ikjun's.
Tonight, Junwan is coming over to cook for Iksun. This is their first date after getting back together.
Iksun sets the table as Junwan finishes up his cooking in the kitchen.
Iksun looks up at the man who's never given up on their love. She's thankful they've found each other once again. She knows they have obstacles to overcome, but this time they will face everything together, rather than choosing to hide their problems and hardships. She's now courageous and wise enough to make the right decisions.
Junwan brings the food to the table, "So it's just the two of us tonight... I thought at least Uju would be joining us. I even bought enough ingredients for three."
Iksun takes her seat opposite Junwan, "Oppa and Songhwa unnie are taking him out. There's a new dinosaur exhibition at the theme park Uju wanted to go see. Uju has been pumped up ever since unnie booked their tickets."
Junwan gives Iksun a genuine smile, "How great. They can spend some quality family time together."
"What's with that smile...What do you know oppa? Care to share?"
"You were right..what you suspected, what you saw at the hospital. Ikjun and Songhwa are an item."
Iksun nods in acknowledgement, "Well that's not really news, Junwan oppa. Remember that night? They must have been on a date when we met at the restaurant. Also at the karaoke, you probably passed out from Songhwa unnie's performance overload, but I managed to catch my brother's head over heels expression as he watched unnie sing. He was so captivated."
Iksun continues enthusiastically, "I've never seen that expression on my brother's face before, looking at a woman like that, not even when he was with Hyejung. It was like...he was staring at something so breathtakingly beautiful right before his eyes. All the affection and adoration for Songhwa unnie. I was certain of two things that night: one, my brother is undeniably in love, and two, subsequent karaoke sessions with my future sister-in-law should be avoided at all costs to prevent the chance of perforated eardrums."
Junwan holds in a laugh and replies with his signature deadpan face, "Iksun ah, it's not as if it's a competition, but I found out about their relationship a few days earlier than you."
That comment sparked Iksun's interest, "Oh? Do tell oppa, do tell..."
Junwan switches to gossip mode, "So I finished surgery early one night, I wanted to drop by Songhwa's office to ask if she wanted to go grab a bite."
"I wasn't sure if she went home for the night, but I saw light in her office, so I peeked through the window. Then I saw...Songhwa trying to feed Ikjun sushi. They were both blushing from embarrassment, but I saw their lovey-dovey eyes."
Junwan lets out a sigh, "Thank goodness I chickened out on my bet with Songhwa, otherwise I would've lost my house, my car, and all the stocks I own."
"Very smart of you, oppa. But all jokes aside, I'm just glad they found each other. They both deserve to be happy."
Junwan nods, "I'm really happy for them too. Iksun ah, want to know a secret? As I was eavesdropping, I overheard them talking about your weekend visit to Seoul to see your newlywed friends."
"I remember. My friends had enteritis and cancelled the housewarming party at the last minute, so I joined oppa and Songhwa unnie for dinner."
"They didn't have enteritis. I called them ahead asking for a favor. I confessed and told them I wasn't over you. That night I was hoping we could sit down to have a talk about us. I let them in on my plan and asked for their help. They messaged me to tell me you've arrived...but then you called Ikjun, so I called Songhwa and joined in."
Iksun's jaw dropped in realization, "That's how you arrived at the restaurant so fast. Oppa, you were waiting outside to come in on cue."
"Even if we couldn't have our talk that night, I still wanted to see you."
Junwan reaches out to place his hand over hers, "Iksun ah, I missed you so much."
"Junwan oppa, thank you for all your efforts. I know I am loved."
