If Elliot was honest with himself he would admit that he has been lusting after Olivia far longer then he would like to admit. He has wanted her even when he was married to Kathy he just had his marriage and the partnership with Liv to keep him from acting on them but now neither was there and the lust he had always felt has been coming out stronger than ever and he knew it was just a matter of time before it was too strong for him not to act on it.
