Work Text:

A group of teens were sitting in a ring on the floor of Louis' living room. They were currently playing truth or dare (like any group of 15 year olds at a sleepover, right?).

"Sooooo Aasim, anyone here you... like like?" Louis (obviously) being the one asking the question, looked at the boy he asked the question from, hopefully. Aasim didn't know how to answer that. Well he did know, but just didn't want to.

"I'm taking the silence as a yes," The one who originally asked the question stated, before Aasim had time to deny it.

"The rich bitch is onto something. So, who is it, Assim?" Mitch questioned further, purposely mispronouncing Aasim's name.

"Aasim just joined our friend group and you're already calling him names?" Omar, who wasn't partaking in the game, asked rhetorically. Mitch started cursing Omar out, but the rest of the group was already moving on, trying to get more answers from Aasim.

"You don't have to tell, if you don't want to, though," Ruby said, trying to get the others to calm down and move on.

"We can always ask him next round," Marlon noted, looking at Louis. The rest of the round went on uneventfully, until it was Mitch's turn to ask. He turned to Aasim with a shit eating grin on his face. The boy in question sighed, already knowing where this was going.

"So, who is it?"

"Who is who? I don't know what you're talking about," Aasim tried avoiding answering, to which Violet huffed, annoyed.

"You know who. The one you, to quote Louis, like like," The blonde said, looking expectantly at Aasim. He looked around a bit, looking for something or rather someone. His eyes landed on Louis, but he quickly averted his gaze, no way was he about to tell the truth.

"Come on guys, give-" Ruby didn't get to finish her sentence, before Aasim looked at her and opened his mouth.

"I- Uhm... It's... It's Ruby!" The distressed teen blurted out in panic, everyone's eyes on him. Most of the people there were surprised, especially Ruby, but when Aasim turned to look at Louis, he could see the disappointment in his eyes.

________________________________

Louis and Aasim were hanging out at the school library doing research for a project. Well, Aasim was doing research while Louis was leaning on his hand looking at the other boy.

"So, tell me, how are things going with Ruby?" The teasing tone in Louis' voice as he said that was apparent. Aasim groaned in annoyance.

"It's been two weeks, just let it go already. I panicked," Louis just laughed at Aasim's annoyed tone.

"There's nothing wrong with having a crush, it's totally normal. I've had tons of crushes," Louis kept teasing the other boy, not really listening to what he just said.

"I don't have a crush on her, okay?" Aasim said, defensively, but Louis, once again, wasn't listening.

"Have you guys been on a date yet? If you haven't, you've at least talked, right? I mean I haven't seen the two of you together in a while? Have you had a lover's quarrel? I bet you have! Oooh I get it n-" Aasim just couldn't take it any more. All this talk about crushes was making him anxious. Aasim wasn't really thinking about what he was saying, before it was out there.

"I don't like Ruby because I like you!" Both of the boys seemed shocked at Aasim's quick outburst. They were looking at each other for a while before the aforementioned boy went back to reading through the book he had in his hands, not actually concentrating on any of the words, but yelling at himself internally for actually saying that out loud. He's going to hell for this. If he had just kept those thoughts to himself and not said them out loud for others to hear. If he just kept denying he had any feelings for another boy, maybe all of this would have been fine.

"Wait what? Waitwaitwaitwait, can you say that again?" Louis was quite confused. He didn't really catch what Aasim had said. The other boy tried ignoring Louis by raising his book higher, also avoiding eye contact this way, but Louis, being the persistent little shit he was, pushed the book down to get Aasim's attention. Aasim looked Louis dead in the eye and the expression he was wearing surprised the other teen. Rather than embarrassed, Aasim looked panicked. Louis wasn't sure what to do in this situation. Like how do you calm down someone who is clearly about to panic? Louis wasn't even sure what caused it. Was it something he said?

"Hey it's okay! I'm sorry if what I said caused you to freak out, I didn't mean to. I just was confused and wan-" Louis cut himself off as he noticed Aasim starting to cry. This made Louis a bit panicked as well. He looked around as if it would help him figure out what to do.

"Do you want me to walk you home or something? I can ask Marlon to drive you home. He has a motorcycle so he can get you home," Aasim shook his head, not wanting to go home, well not right now anyway. He quickly and tightly wrapped his arms around Louis, seeking comfort. Louis hesitantly returned the hug.

"Ooor we could just stay here. That's fine by me," Louis finally shut up for once as the two hugged each other in the back corner of the school's library.

________________________________

Aasim was working his summer job at a café and Louis was sitting on a bar stool at the front counter. Some of their friends had agreed to hang out here and wait for Aasim's shift to be over and Louis was the first one to arrive (surprisingly). The two boys currently present hadn't directly talked to each other after the library incident, neither really wanting to bring it up, until now that is.

"So-" Before Louis could continue what he was saying Aasim interrupted him.

"Why do you almost always start conversations with so? Can't you think of any other words? Is your vocabulary really that small?" Louis just laughed at Aasim's questions, knowing he wasn't being serious.

"Actually it is, thank you for asking," Aasim rolled his eyes at that.

"Anyway, to get back to what I was about to say before you so rudely interrupted me, remember that one time we were at the school library?" Louis looked at Aasim, waiting for him to answer.

"Which time? We've been there many times, I can't know which specific time you're talking about," Aasim knew exactly what time Louis was talking about, but played dumb in the hopes that the other teen wouldn't continue talking about it.

"About a month ago, you know, the last time you showed up to do the project?" Aasim nodded.

"I had to do that project all by myself, no thanks to you." He tried to change the subject, not wanting to talk about this right now. Louis didn't go along with it and kept on talking about the library incident.

"Why'd you freak out back then? Was it something I said? I'm sorry if it was." Louis sounded more serious now and he wasn't smiling as widely. This was a stark contrast to his usual enthusiasm and happy tone.

"It wasn't your fault, I just... Freak out sometimes?" The statement sounded more like a question than anything else.

"Well I'm not gonna force you to tell me, but I do want to know what it was you said before, you know, freaking out,"

"I honestly can't remember," Aasim said, lying through his teeth.

"You know, you're really bad at lying. Come on, it can't be that bad," Louis wasn't as serious, trying to lighten the mood and get Aasim to actually talk.

"It is that bad," Aasim said, trying to busy himself with work.

"Is you liking me really that bad?" Louis faked being hurt, trying to get Aasim to lighten up as well. The other boy just looked a bit shocked. He quickly tried shushing the other, putting both his hands over Louis' mouth.

"Not so loud! Not here anyway," Aasim whisper-yelled, looking around them. Noticing no one else in the establishment, he relaxed a little.

"Oh, right, sorry," Louis said apologetically, an awkward smile on his face.

"But why did you want me to say it, if you knew what it was?" Aasim questioned, looking a bit puzzled. Louis shrugged and smiled, less awkwardly this time.

"I just wanted to make sure I heard it right... Aaand I wanted you to say it again," Louis admitted. The two of them were engulfed by silence for a moment, before Aasim broke it again.

"You what? Why???" Aasim's confusion was evident by the tone of his voice.

"Well I thought it was obvious at this point, but I... Like like you too?" Louis sounded unsure, as if he was debating whether or not he should have said that.

"You do?" Aasim sounded hopeful.

"I... Yeah..." Louis looked at the floor, not really sure what to say next, surprisingly.

"Wow... Cool..." Well, this is awkward. The two of them sat there in silence (well, Aasim was standing behind the counter, but you get the point), until Louis, unsurprisingly, opened his mouth again.

"Soooo... Does this mean we're dating? I mean we don't have to be if you don't want to, but I just thought-" Aasim cut Louis off before he could continue rambling.

"Yeah, sure, why not? Just... let's not be too obvious," Louis nodded enthusiastically, grabbing onto both of Aasim's hands with his own. Before either of them could properly react, the bell above the door rang, indicating someone came in. Aasim swiftly pulled his hands away. There were three people at the door, which the two teens recognised as Omar, Ruby and Mitch. Louis immediately ran over to the others and started explaining what just happened, to which Aasim just shook his head and smiled a little.

________________________________

Louis and Aasim were sitting at Louis' dinner table in their dining room. Aasim was doing some work for his summer school classes (he was there voluntarily, doing advanced classes) while Louis was leaning on his hands, staring at Aasim all lovey-dovey like.

"Stop staring, I can feel your eyes on me," Aasim said without looking up from his school work. Louis didn't even make a move to look away and when Aasim turned to look at him, he could see that Louis was completely zoned-out. After a few seconds the zoned-out teen snapped back into reality.

"Oh, sorry, what were you saying? I wasn't listening, I was lost in your eyes," Aasim looked disappointed at Louis' words. He shook his head a little.

"I wasn't even looking at you until just now," Louis let out an "a" as he looked away a bit embarrassed.

"And since we're on the topic right now, you need to stop doing stuff like that when we're outside," Aasim told Louis, hoping he'd actually listen this time.

"Why? It's not like anyone will see, or care if they did see. I just want to show my affection publicly," Louis argued back lightly, ready to give in if this got any more serious.

"I don't want my parents to know about this and they just happen to know almost everyone in town. Also this is a small place, word gets around fast," Aasim sounded really serious, which made Louis back off, not wanting to escalate the situation any more.

"I'll try, but I can't promise anything," Louis said to appease Aasim even a little bit. Louis shuffled a bit closer to Aasim on his chair, taking the other's hand in his.

"So, what's this you're doing?" Louis leaned his head on Aasim's shoulder to look at his work better. Aasim just gave him a weird look, but showed the homework he was currently doing. The two hadn't heard the front doors open, so when Louis' parents walked into the room, the younger couple was surprised. Aasim tried to shift away from Louis to pretend that nothing had happened, but Louis was holding on surprisingly tight, so he couldn't get the other off of him. Louis' parents didn't even bat an eye at the two as they walked over to see what they were doing.

"So, Louis, who's this? Did you finally take our advice and found new friends?" Louis' mother asked, smiling, though it was obvious the smile was forced. Aasim looked at Louis, as if asking what that was about, but Louis shook his head, telling him now wasn't the time.

"This is Aasim he's my-" Louis' father cut his own son off, before he could tell his parents about their relationship.

"Is he doing schoolwork even in the summer? You could learn a lot from him it seems. Thank you, Aasim, was it? For being such a good example for our son," Aasim was getting a bit uncomfortable, with all the attention on him. He tightened his grip on Louis' hand to quietly signal he wanted to leave. Louis nodded a little and stood up from his chair, not letting go of his boyfriend's hand.

"Well we're done here, we're going to my room," Louis announced and before giving his parents time to react, he dragged Aasim up the stairs and onto the third floor and into his room.

"God they're such hypocrites! I can't stand them sometimes! And did you see how they just kept comparing me to you? What is their problem?!" Aasim laughed lightly at Louis' little outburst, making the other smile widely.

"Honey, your teen angst is showing," Aasim said, jokingly, clearly not serious. Louis laughed as the two of them sat down on a couch.

"I just don't get them. You know? I've been listening to the same things for like what? 15 years?" Both of them were laughing lightly as they leaned on each other for support.

"Well, now I can see where you get your 'so' from." Aasim commented before the two fell into a comfortable silence.

________________________________

Aasim and Louis were standing on Aasim's front porch. Aasim was visibly nervous, fidgeting with his hands to calm himself down while Louis on the other hand was thrilled. He had been waiting for this day for as long as the two had been dating.

"It's not too late to back down, we could still go do something else," Aasim tried suggesting, not wanting to actually go inside and have Louis meet his parents.

"Well I want to meet your folks and this is the perfect opportunity, so we're going in," Louis took a step towards the front door of the house.

"Don't blame me if things go downhill, I've told you many times that they can be a lot sometimes. Also they're extremely christian so, just be warned," Aasim told Louis and he put a silver necklace with a cross hanging on around his neck. Louis didn't seem to listen. The other boy went to open the door and as soon as the two made their way inside, they were greeted by a cheery older woman. She immediately went to kiss Aasim's cheeks, to which he tried gently shoving her away. She was about to speak to Aasim, before she noticed Louis behind him. The woman's expression immediately lightened up.

"Did you finally bring home a friend, Aasim? Oh how lovely! And who might you be, dearie?" Aasim was about to answer, but Louis beat him to it.

"My name is Louis, it's so lovely to meet you!" Louis went up to the woman and took her hands into his own and gently shook them. The older woman lightly laughed and politely took her hands from Louis' grasp.

"You have such a polite friend, I'm so glad. Thank you for being my son's friend, I know he can be a bit grumpy sometimes," Aasim was surprised by both his mother's and his boyfriend's demeanor in this current situation. He wasn't expecting Louis to have such good manners.

"Your son is very wonderful, you've done a good job raising him," Louis was clearly enjoying talking to Aasim's mother.

"You-" The older woman was cut off by a younger girl shouting something about dinner.

"Oh! Great timing! You are joining us for dinner, aren't you Louis?" Aasim was hoping his boyfriend would refuse, but knowing Louis, he would gladly accept.

"I would love to!" Aand he was right. The second Aasim's mother left, he said something for the first time in a little while.

"Fuck my life," Louis faked being surprised. He dramatically raised his hand over his mouth and gasped.

"Is my little Aasim swearing? I didn't believe this day would come!" Louis tried his best to not burst out laughing as Aasim playfully pushed him.

"Shut up!" And with that the two made their way to the dining room. Sitting at the table were two older people, presumably Aasim's parents as well as four other people, who Louis assumed to be Aasim's siblings. He was surprised to say the least. Everyone turned to look at the couple standing in the dining room doorway. They weren't used to Aasim bringing guests. Louis looked around, reveling in the attention, and noticed a lot of crosses and biblical quotes everywhere.

"This is Louis, Aasim's friend, he will be eating dinner with us," Aasim's mother announced to the rest of the family, unintentionally putting pressure on the word friend. Louis and Aasim sat down at the table. One of the younger kids, probably around the age of 5, noticed the pin Louis had attached to his jacket and pointed to it.

"What's that? Yellow is my favourite colour!" The pin the kid had referred to was Louis' pan pride pin. Louis was about to explain it, but Aasim started speaking about a completely different subject.

"Uhm... Mom! How was work today?" Aasim wasn't actually interested in knowing, just wanted to change the subject quickly. It seemed to work as his mother started explaining about her work as a nurse at the local hospital.

"My parents work there! They're surgeons," Louis joined in, wanting to be a part of the conversation.

"Oh! What is your last name, then? I might know your parents," Aasim's mother asked.

"Whitfield," The woman looked irked, but tried hiding it under a smile. Even someone as socially clueless as Louis could see that she probably wasn't a big fan of his parents and who was he to blame her. The Whitfields are quite notorious in the town for their wealth and their general bad attitude towards other people. There was an awkward silence, since no one really wanted to say anything to make the already existing tension worse. Aasim's father, who had been silent up to this point, coughed and spoke up, changing the subject.

"While we are glad you have brought your friend Louis over, when were you planning on bringing a girl? Your mother and I met each other when we were around your age," The older man looked at Louis, disapprovingly, and then looked back over at Aasim.

"So here's the thing-" Louis was about to explain his and Aasim's situation, before his boyfriend kicked his leg under the table, making him stop mid sentence.

"I'm just not looking for a relationship right now, okay dad?" Louis looks at Aasim disbelievingly, making sure he just heard that right.

"Well then, Louis, are you seeing a girl?" Aasim's mother asked, her tone sweet. She looked over at Louis and smiled.

"I am seeing someone, but he is not a girl," Aasim's whole family looked shocked, Aasim included. They clearly weren't expecting that answer. Aasim's mother looked like she was on the verge of tears.

"Oh you poor child," The woman covered her mouth, stifling a sob. Aasim's father on the other hand looked furious.

"Aasim, were you aware of this?" The man raised his voice, looking at his son, pressuring him into speaking. Aasim didn't say anything, just nodded. He hung his head low, as if he was ashamed of something. Louis' expression mirrored the older man's, he himself getting angry at Aasim's parents and the way they were behaving like 5 year olds who didn't get the right coloured cake for their birthday.

"How dare you bring sinners like him into our house, knowingly?" Aasim's father stood up at the table, slamming his hands on the wooden surface as his son didn't say anything.

"Honey, please calm down. You're scaring our children," Aasim's mother said, laying a hand on her husband's shoulder. All four of Aasim's siblings took this as their queue to leave the kitchen, not wanting to hear their dad shout at the top of his lungs.

"Louis, dear, I'm sure you can still be saved from this. God is willing to forgive you, if you just pray," The woman had walked around the table and over to the two teenagers, and was now holding Louis' hands in her own. He politely took his hands out of her grasp.

"I don't need saving. I mean love isn't a sin, right?" Louis said, looking first at the woman and then at the man.

"See? The boy is beyond saving! I want that... That... Thing out of my house immediately!" Aasim's father shouted, pointing at Louis. That was Aasim's breaking point. He couldn't stand the way his parents were treating his first ever significant other.

"If this is the way you treat my boyfriend, then don't even dream of me bringing a girl home," Aasim shot back, immediately regretting it and covering his mouth with hands. Louis looked at him, his expression a mix of shock and pride.

"Excuse me what?" Aasim's father looked over at his son, pure rage painted across his face.

"You heard him! I'm his boyfriend, what are you going to do about it, huh? Would you be mad if we, I dunno, did this?" Louis did something completely on a whim, and kissed Aasim for the first time in front of his extremely christian parents. Aasim didn't even know how to react and to be honest, he didn't even know what was going on. Everything was going too fast and he just needed to calm down, so without thinking about it too much, he pulled Louis outside with him. They sat on the front porch in silence for a second, before Louis, again, opened his mouth.

"Well that was one hell of a first impression," Louis looked over at his boyfriend, who didn't know what he was feeling right now.

"What just happened..." It wasn't even a question. It was more of a statement than anything. Louis looked at Aasim quizzically.

"Wel-" Louis didn't even get a full word out, before Aasim cut him off once again.

"Can you shut the fuck up for one second?! Like literally one second! You just keep talking and talking and talking and don't even think about what you're saying or what could happen because you said something you weren't supposed to! Your parents might be cool with you liking other guys, but mine are not. I don't even know what's going to happen now. Best case scenario is; I get a scolding and am grounded for a month. And what the hell was that kiss about?! I know you like to provoke old people for fun, but you don't get to do it at my expense! That was my first kiss ever. I was saving it for like a special moment, but here you go, taking it just to make a point!" Aasim was basically shouting at Louis, who looked like a puppy that had been kicked.

"Look, it was my first kiss too, and I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to, I just wasn't thinking!" Louis tried apologising.

"You never do, do you?" And with that Aasim went back inside, slamming the front door behind him. All Louis could do was blame himself for what happened, while looking at the setting sun and listening to Aasim's father shouting.

________________________________

Louis was pacing back and forth in the mansion's living room. A little table with two chairs and a single rose in a glass jar was placed in the middle of it. There were fairy lights everywhere, giving the room a soft glow. There were two plates on the table that both had something that could barely be classified as food on them. Before Louis could get any more nervous, he heard the doorbell ring and he immediately went to open the doors. There stood Aasim, looking a bit uncomfortable, trying his best to avoid eye contact. It's been almost two weeks since they had seen each other.

"Hey..." Louis began, awkwardly.

"Hi..." Aasim responded just as awkwardly. They stood there in silence before Louis realised he should probably invite the other in, so he moved to the side to make way for Aasim.

"Thought you would want to come inside instead of standing out there..." The silence after Louis' sorry attempt at lightening the mood was deafening. They made their way over to the living room, where Louis had prepared something akin to dinner, if you could even call it that.

"So uhm... sorry for inviting here out of the blue, I just thought we could talk so I-" Aasim cut Louis off, before he could start rambling.

"Did you do this?" Aasim asked, looking around the room and finally laying his eyes on Louis, who smiled sheepishly.

"I uhm... yeah, yeah I did. I thought I'd make this a special occasion," That made Aasim smile a little, which in turn made Louis smile wider. They stood there in silence, again.

"We should sit down, I mean the food's gonna get cold and, you know what, I should just stop talking," The two of them sat down at the table.

"What is that supposed to be exactly?" Aasim asked, referring to the "food" Louis had made.

"Well it was a sandwich cake but uhm... yeah..." They both poked at the abomination of a sandwich cake for a little, before just giving up and deciding to order something. They went to sit on one of the sofas, agreeing it's a lot more comfortable.

"Hey Aasim, I really am sorry about everything that happened back at your place. I really need to learn when to keep my mouth shut," Louis apologised, turning his whole body towards Aasim.

"I'm still kind of angry about it, but it's fine, we'll get through this. I'm also sorry for being a dick and not letting you talk," Aasim said, also turning to face the other.

"I heard your father shouting while I was sitting on the porch, what happened? I mean you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I'm just curious," Louis looked Aasim dead in the eye, searching for an answer, until the other looked away.

"I... They... They talked about sending me to a... I just- How can- I don't understand..." Aasim couldn't finish a sentence properly and Louis didn't need him to, he understood what was going to happen. Louis opened his arms, inviting Aasim in for a hug, which Aasim gladly accepted. They sat there for a moment, Louis petting Aasim's hair, doing his best to calm the slightly distressed teen down.

"You know, under some slightly different circumstances, this would be a pretty romantic situation," Louis joked, doing his best to lighten the mood, to which he succeeded, Aasim laughing a little and nodding.

"This would make for a pretty good moment for a first kiss," They looked at each other for a moment, before Aasim, surprisingly, broke the silence.

"This wouldn't be our first kiss," Aasim rebutted, smirking and looking at Louis' eyes.

"Okay well, it could be our second first kiss," Louis countered, shifting a bit closer to Aasim. The boys were leaning in, feeling each other's breaths on their faces, but before they could have their "second first kiss" the front doors opened. Aasim quickly pulled away, but both of the teens knew it was already too late. The older couple were making their way down the hallway and into the living room at a fast pace, clearly furious.

"What the hell is going on here?" Louis' father yelled, looking down at the younger two, towering over them.

"Oh right, I don't think I ever introduced you two properly. This is Aasim, my boyfriend. You would have known that, if you didn't interrupt me last time," Louis had a passive aggressive smile on his face, taking Aasim's hand in his as he started to make his way to the door. Louis' parents didn't know how to respond, they hadn't been prepared for this situation, but they were mad. Louis and Aasim were about to walk out the front door, before they were stopped by the booming voice of Louis' father.

"Never bring him back here," Louis scoffs angrily and slams the doors behind him and Aasim. As the two took a few steps outside Louis' expression softened quickly as he turned toward Aasim.

"I'm sorry about that, I didn't know they'd be home today," Before Aasim could answer, his boyfriend noticed the pizza delivery guy and excitedly ran off toward the front gates, Aasim tailing behind him.

"Hold on, don't press that, I'll take the pizza. I mean I'm not stealing it, I was the one who ordered, well my boyfriend ordered it with me, but that's besides the point, what I'm trying to say is-" Louis got cut off by Aasim once again.

"What he was trying to say is, that's our pizza," The guy who was delivering the pizza tried to say something, but gave up, when he couldn't get a sound out of his mouth. He handed the pizza to the couple and just left. After getting the pizza, Louis started walking towards Marlon's house and Aasim followed him, not quite sure what Louis was planning.

"So where are we going exactly?" Aasim asked as he started walking next to Louis.

"Oh, right, we're going to Marlon's, if that's okay with you," Louis stopped for a moment to look at Aasim, who just nodded.

"Wait we didn't even make sure if it's fine we show up, I mean what if he's up to something?" Aasim said, looking at Louis who just kept walking.

"It's fine, I always just show up," That didn't reassure Aasim.

"You should call him, just in case," He insisted, making Louis sigh. The aforementioned boy pulled out his phone and called Marlon. He talked on the phone for a little while, before putting it back in his pocket and looking back over at Aasim.

"I asked and it's fine, like I told you. You happy?"

"Yes, yes I am,"

_______

Louis and Aasim were standing on the front porch of Marlon's house. The grass was overgrown and there were weeds growing through the pavement. The yellow paint on the planks outside was peeling off and turning grey-ish. The whole house looked like no one had lived in it for the past 16 years. Aasim went to press the doorbell, but Louis stopped him and knocked on the door.

"That doesn't work, it just makes a weird buzzing sound," Louis said, before the door opened to show a large man who smells heavily of booze and cigarettes.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" The man slurred, glaring at Louis.

"Lovely as ever, I see, Mr. Reed. Where's Marlon?" Louis countered, looking past the man and into the house. Aasim had no idea how Louis was being so calm in this situation, as he himself was absolutely terrified. Louis noticed Aasim's discomfort and took his hand, which made Marlon's father look at the two of them in disgust. Before the older man could close the door on the two, Marlon appeared.

"They're my guest, so let them in," The blond said, pushing past his father. The man stepped aside to let the two teens in.

"Marlon, could you stay downstairs? You two boys can go upstairs to Marlon's room," Marlon's mother, who had overheard the commotion, said as she made her way toward the front door. Louis looked a little hesitant, not really sure he should leave Marlon alone.

"Just go ahead, I'll be right there," That made Louis less tense and he led Aasim up the stairs and into the third teen's room, keeping a tight hold on his boyfriend's hand. The room was almost empty, there was only a bed, a table as well as a chair and a dog bed, where a pit bull was sleeping. Louis gasped dramatically and immediately went to pet the dog, dropping the pizza he was holding onto the ground.

"Hiiii Rosie!" Louis was petting Rosie, who didn't seem to mind, even though she was half asleep. Aasim just watched the two and sat down on Marlon's bed. Louis stopped petting the dog as he heard Marlon's parents talking loudly downstairs. The talking devolved into yelling and soon the couple could hear something made of glass shatter, making Louis wince.

"Shouldn't we go check downstairs? That didn't sound good," Aasim asked, looking at Louis, who immediately shook his head.

"No! I mean... No, Marlon said he'd be right here, it could get worse if we went there," Louis sounded panicked, almost scared. Aasim had never seen him like this. Hesitantly he made his way to Louis and wrapped his arms around him. Louis calmed down a bit and leaned into the hug, wrapping his arms around Aasim as well.

"Hope I'm not interrupting something here," A certain blond said, as he walked into his own room.

"Glad you're okay," Louis said, immediately letting go of Aasim, to go hug his best friend.

"Come on Lou, let go, you have a boyfriend for this stuff," Marlon exclaimed, trying to peel Louis off of him. The three just laughed as Louis finally let go of Marlon.

"Oh we also brought a pizza," Louis said, pointing at the box that was abandoned onto the floor.

Aasim was waiting for Louis in the school library. He was fiddling with his hands, sitting in one of the green bean bags in the furthest corner of the whole place.

"You'll never believe what happened today!" Louis' sudden appearance startled Aasim, making him stand up.

"So, today in class Marlon and I-" He didn't get to finish his sentence, once again as Aasim interrupted him.

"Louis, we need to talk," Aasim looked Louis dead in the eyes. Louis' smile faded a bit.

"Yeah okay, we can talk," Aasim took a deep breath, preparing himself for what's to come.

"I feel like this... uhm we aren't working out," He could see Louis starting to tear up, turning his head a little bit upwards.

"...What?" Louis' voice was quiet, almost a whisper.

"Well there's our parents for one and I just think we want very different things from a relationship," Aasim explained, avoiding eye contact.

"So what you're saying is..."

"I think we should break up," That did it. Louis couldn't keep his tears in anymore and started crying.

"Yeah... I uhm... Yeah okay," Aasim felt bad, hearing Louis' voice break.

"We can still be friends. I mean I do like you but, you know," Louis nodded. Some people were talking close by, so the teens decided to leave, not wanting to make a scene.

Notes:

This took us over two months to write...

Well anyway, we'll probably write more stuff, but I can't promise it'll be soon, because well, yeah...

Hope you liked it! :D
