Summary:
DCI John Barnaby and DS Jamie Winter, along with, Barnaby's old DS's, Charlie Nelson, and Ben Jones, team up with, Police Officer Joseph Morrison, and retired DCI Tom Barnaby, and his former DS's Dan Scott, and Gavin Troy to solve a case of people being kidnapped and then returned younger than when they were kidnapped.
When Jamie is alone, the kidnapper, Mason Norman, decides to kidnap, torture and turn Jamie younger. But when he injects the serum into Jamie, he realises he gave Jamie too much and de-aged him to that of a 5 year old.
Jamie gets returned after being kidnapped 2 days ago, and remembers the two sets of Barnaby's, and the DS's, but can't remember what he does as a job. When he is returned, he refuses to let any of the Barnaby's, and the former DS's out of his sight.
His parents get called and asked to come down to Causton, to be asked if they can look after him until they can find the guy who deaged him. When his parents come down, he reacts in a way none of them, except the parents, expected.
