Chapter Text
Cinnamon sat in the car as Spinach drove them home. On the outside, he was as cool as a cucumber, other than a few drops of sweat. On the inside, he was very much panicking. He messed up, big-time. Soon, his girlfriend stopped at a red light, and turned slightly towards him.
"Cinnamon?"
"Yeah?" Cinnamon thought he was going to get lectured. His exes had done so whenever he messed up, even if it was an accident. He braced himself for the misery.
It didn't come.
"Cinnamon, I understand that you were nervous about meeting my parents," Spinach said. She started to chuckle a bit. "But I can't believe you told them you were my fiancé!"
"Is that bad?" Cinnamon asked.
"No, no, it's fine. I'm able to clear this up, my parents will understand. My father used to be the same way," she explained.
She pressed a kiss to Cinnamon's cheek. "You're okay, and I'm not mad at you for making a harmless mistake."
Cinnamon smiled at her. It was moments like this where they were reminded just how much their girlfriend seemed like an angel to them. "Thank you," they answered.
The light turned green, and they headed home.
