Shouto took a deep breath as he adjusted his hood. Hopefully the disguises that Tenya and Uraraka had gotten Yaoyorozu and him would work well enough to get them out of the kingdom without suspicion. He knew that they were likely to be caught and punished, but he also knew that it would be worth the risk.
The reason Shouto and Yaoyorzu were running was because they were meant to be married in two days time. Now, this would normally not be a big deal, since it is common for royalty to be forced into marriages by their parents. Only, when Yaoyorozu and Shouto met, they both admitted to being in love with other people. Shouto with his guard, Tenya, and Yaoyorozu with her maid, Uraraka. Both of their feelings were returned, and they both were in happy, secret, relationships.
This is why they planned to run. Tenya and Uraraka were quick to agree to help them escape to somewhere where they could be happy together without any secrecy. There was a nearby kingdom that they planned to run to and build lives. They had planned the escape down to the minute, and it was almost time.
Shouto turned to look at Tenya, who gave him a reassuring smile. Shouto reached his hand out to him, and Tenya took the opportunity to pull him close.
“We will be safe soon, my love.” Tenya whispered into Shouto’s ear.
Shouto took Tenya’s face in his free hand, leading the guard into a gentle kiss. Tenya returned the gesture with so much care that Shouto could feel himself tearing up. They soon separated to the sound of the clock striking midnight.
“Soon.” Shouto quietly promised his lover, barely audible with the ringing of the clock tower.

Ochako finished braiding Momo’s hair back, tying off the braid with Momo’s favorite ribbon. Everything that they were planning on taking with them was already packed away into a small carriage. Ochako almost couldn’t believe that this was going to be their last night at the castle. The last night of them hiding their love for each other.
Iida and Todoroki were already on their way out of the kingdom in their own small carriage full of their belongings. The plan was for them to leave a couple hours apart and meet at a predetermined location, just across the border. There they would meet a group of travelers who had agreed to lead them to a nearby kingdom that was welcoming towards same-sex relationships. Such a place used to only be part of Ochako’s dreams, but now they were running away to build lives there.
Momo turned to face Ochako from where she was sitting in between her legs, on the floor. She lifted a hand toward the worker’s face, brushing away a tear that had made its way down Ochako’s face without her knowing.
“Is something wrong, darling?”
Ochako gave the brightest smile that she could manage, “I am not regretting this, don’t worry. I’m just terrified of what might happen if we are caught.”
Momo gave Ochako a small smile, pushing her hair back from where it fell into her face, “We won’t be caught.”
“How are you so sure?”
“Because if we aren’t sure that nothing will go wrong, something surely will.”
Ochako sighed softly, “I know… We will be fine.”
Momo’s smile grew, and she stood as she replied, “There’s the girl I know and love.”
Ochako let out a small chuckle before standing up and giving her beloved a small kiss. They both startled when the clock struck three, but they were quick to calm down and give each other grins as they started to put their plan into motion.
