Chapter Text
Chuuya hissed. “Shitshitshit!” His limbs jerked involuntarily, making the barbed wire jab deeper. He hung, tipped over, where he had lost his balance and face planted after trying to slow his run, spotting the abandoned coils too late. One foot was caught up, sliced in the strands, and his arms and chest somehow wrapped. His attempts to extricate himself from the tangle just wound the wire deeper around his hair, dug in the barbs and split his naked skin. The winter coat he’d been given hung partially off, snared and ripping. He should have zipped it up, it would have provided protection, would have cut the wind dusting up and chilling the rest of his naked body.
He looked up, hair tugging at the wire, at the crunch of boots on the autumn floor. A sharp prong left a shallow cut along his cheekbone, hot blood welling up and beginning to drip.
“All trussed up and still nowhere to go.” Amos’ self-satisfied smile burned Chuuya’s nerves. The man held up a small remote in his gloved hand. Chuuya’s eyes widened, and before he could breathe out a pleading ‘no’, pain laced through his body, hot and sharp against the chill. Blood weeped out, stars of agony, as his body spasmed and contracted into the barbs, making them dig deep. When the fire died out, Chuuya shook, sobbing, unable to prevent the vicious trembling of his limbs from cutting along the wire. A hand grabbed his hair and pulled his head up. A prong snagged and cut his lip.
“That’s punishment for attempting to run away. You know there’s a radius on the collar too, right?”
Chuuya could only sob and let his head hang.
