Buck sigh as he got out of bed, he has been so tired and nauseous lately its starting to take a toll on his body. So he decide to go see the doctor today before his shift to find out what the problem is, after quick shower and light breakfast he headed out. He sigh again he's been doing that alot lately thinking about how things are a the 118 and how everyone has been treating him when he was wll in his right the file the lawsuit as someone who he considered as a father went behind his back to make a decision that wasn't his to make. And Eddie the man he have been so in love with treat like air with harsh words and glare. After reaching the the doctors' office he's in the waiting room waiting to be seen.
"Evan Buckley" a nurse called.
"Yes that's me"he answered. He's actually very nervous his he dying, could it be cancer? He is no running himself in a panic attack right now. Ok calm down buck you haven't seen the doctor yet.
"Right this way please"
"Please wait a moment the doctor will be with you in a moment".
"Mr. Buckley so nice to see again"
" You too doctor, Do you know what the problem with me is cause I'm really not feeling so good these lost few weeks and I am really starting to get worry".
"Calm down Mr. Buckley, its nothing bad. Congratulations you're 1 month pregnant"
Buck is stunned into silence, is this doctor for real, is he quack, am I being prank? He's looking around to see if there's cameras and waiting for someone jump out and say just kidding. The doctor must have seen his face cause he's taking and he is not really hearing anything that's coming out of his mouth. Pay attention buck come on focus.
"I'm sorry doctor could you please repeat that, cause I taught I heard you say that I'm pregnant but I can't be its impossible, how could that happen, I know how that could happen. Oh my god what am i going to?"
"Calm down buck every thing going to be find, please lay on the table so we can take a ultrasound'.
laying on the bed, as I watch the doctor spread the gel on my stomach I'm getting nervous again I am pregnant as in a life is growing inside of me.
"ok here we go, oh".
"what? Is there something wrong doctor?"
"Hmm no, there's three".
Once again he was stunned in silence, why does the Diazes have to multiply like fucking bunny rabbits. I don't even remember leaving the doctors office or the drive from there to work but he did find himself infront of the 118 fire station sitting in his jeep. Looking at his watch he realize he only have 5 minutes before shift. Slowly making his way into fire station he's not in the mood to be friendly with anyone.
"BUCKLEY YOU'RE LATE". Buck sigh once again looking at his watch, he know he's not late but not in the mood right now so he he just said,
"Wont happen again Captain Nash" and walk off. He didn't see the stunned looks the rest of the house gave him, on any other day he would have argue but he really cant be bothered. As the rest of the the day went on things seem to be getting worst for buck , the insults the never ending list of chores and all that by the end of the shift buck had enough and just want to go home. As he was changing in his civilian clothes he heard someone behind.
"What is wrong with you today?"
It was eddie he would know that voice anywhere but he really cant be bothered with him or anyone. He just grab his bag and walked away leaving a stunned eddie behind.By the time he got home he was completely exhausted and all he wanted to do was just eat, shower and sleep, but he knows he cant do that right now he has things to do. First he wrote and email to send to the fire chief and waiting for the exact moment before leaving LA to send the email, then he started looking for places to buy far way from LA and then pack his things to leave.
One week later buck as everything ready to, all his stuff pack, he took a week off and haven't seen anyone from 118 and he prefer it that way. writhing a letters and sending it to carla, maddie and christopher then he's on his way to the airport. With one last look around LA and he's gone noone has heard from buck for 6 years expect from 3 of his most precious people.
6 YEARS LATER
You find a handsome young man shopping for groceries with a equally 3 beautiful children. They were laughing and talking while doing their shopping.
"mama can we go and get some snacks?"
"Sure sweethearts, run along and i will be right here waiting on you".
just as the left hee heard a voice he was hoping to never heard from again, the voice of the man he's still in love with.
"Buck?" eddie called.
BUck turn around to see eddied and the rest of the 118 standing there just as equally shock to see him as he is to see them. Just as Eddie wa about to open his mouth 3 kids came back.
"Mama when can we go see big brother christopher and aunt maddie?" the little girl asked. They didnt notice he was talking to someone at the time when they asked the question, he slowly looked up see shock and disbelieved on all their faces.
"soon baby, how about after we finish here we go to see aunt maddie and then see if carla can bring christopher around?" "YAY" they shouted, he cant help but smile about their excited shout.
"Buck" whispered eddie.
"Yes they are yours, there's no point lying as you can see both boys look exactly like you. But that doesnt change anything between us. Come on my lovies lets go and see aunt maddie".
"I fucked up ". eddie whispered brokenly, " I might as well just last my family and all because of my ego and anger, how do I fix this, how I get them back?"
