Seokhyeong gathered his things as he got ready to head out when he heard a knock on his office door. It opened to reveal a casually dressed Chu Minha. His lips immediately curled into a smile as he gestured for her to come in.
“Gyusunim” She started as she closed the door behind her. He scrunched his eyes, waiting for her to continue. “Are you really not coming tonight?” Minha finished her question with a pout which made Seokhyeong’s stomach do backflips.
“I promise, I would if our band practice did not fall on the same day.” Tonight was OBGYN’s scheduled department dinner. It wasn’t new to the other team members that Seokhyeong did not usually participate in dinners like these. This time was different however, because he actually said yes before he had to cancel because of band practice. Ikjun even suggested they re-scheduled but everyone has been so busy that tonight was the only time they could squeeze it in.
“Arraseo… I understand.” She plastered a smile on her face as her boyfriend closed the distance between them.
“Have fun okay? Text me when you guys get there” He quickly touched her slender fingers debating if he has enough time to hug her. She however shook her head as she subtly pointed her fingers out the door. He smiled in understanding. Minha let go of his hand and opened the door revealing Eun-mi and Yoon-hee waiting on the opposite side. With that, Minha went with the others to their dinner while Seokhyeong made his way to the parking to meet the kids.

They previously had each other’s contacts saved as something sweet. They were lucky the only one who saw and noticed before was Jeongwon. They decided to remove the names to be safe which lead to Minha being an angel emoji while Seokhyeong became a bear emoji.

He put down his phone as he grabbed another roll of gimbap before Songhwa finishes it all.

Seokhyeong’s eyes scanned the text Minha just sent and immediately felt uneasy. Was she in a hurry? Or just having fun?
“Yah, Gom. Please don’t tell me you’re a helicopter boyfriend” Ikjun commented as he glanced behind him towards the keyboards.
“Mwo?”
“You know… hovering around Chuchu. She might be busy. It’s a dinner party afterall.” Ikjun replied making a funny face.
“I’m sure she’s having fun” Jeongwon added as they all waited for their bear friend to put down his phone so they can go back to playing.

This time, a video was attached on the chat. Seokhyeong opened the video while they’re on a break as Junwan was still in the bathroom. It played the OBGYN team cheering as Minha chugged the bottle that apparently was supposedly Eunmi’s consequence for the game. It looked like Eunmi cannot hold her alcohol well which is why Minha volunteered to take the shot for her. Seokhyeong’s eyebrows’ furrowed watching. He knows his girlfriend can handle alcohol very well but she always has a head ache the whole day after.

Gyusunim, just letting you know I’ll be taking Minha home. You might be worried. – Nurse Han
The 5 doctors were just fixing up their instruments when he received the message from Nurse Han aka, the only other person in the OBGYN Team that knows about Minha and Seokhyeong’s secret. She didn’t mean to find out. She just put two and two together as she was always with them. Minha also did not deny (Of course they already talked about it as they felt she was already on to them). Besides, it was nice for someone to know especially Nurse Han was one of Minha’s closest people in the team.
Where are you guys? I’m coming to pick her up. – Seokhyeong.
Su Noraebang. Will text you once the others get on a cab so they won’t ask why you came. – Nurse Han
Gomowo. – Seokhyeong
“Go” Seonghwa tapped his shoulder and gestured for him to go.
“Huh?” He asked dumbfounded, lost in his friends’ conversation.
“You look like you’re in a hurry. Go.” Junwan said as he continued to tidy up the wires of his guitar.
“We will finish up here.” Jeongwon assured him and Ikjun was already handing him his car keys which was on the table. Seokhyeong mouthed his thanks as he rushed out the door leaving his own house to his friends.

Seokhyeong parked his car two blocks away from the karaoke place and waited for Nurse Han’s signal that everyone has went home. It took some time because she needed to convince professor Yeom that she didn’t need to get a cab for them. When everyone was gone, Seokhyeong hurriedly parked his car in front and assisted the two ladies to get in his car.
“Anneyeonghaseyo, Gyusunim” Nurse Han greeted as she guided Minha towards the front seat.
“Gomowo, Seung-joo ah” Seokhyeong replied.
“Oppa!” Minha slurred as she criss-crossed her way in his car. Seokhyeong suppressed his chuckles. She still looked so cute despite being so drunk. He strapped on her seat belt and used his coat as her makeshift pillow to rest her head on.
“Aigoo, I told her to slow down but Eunmi and Yoon-hee can’t drink too much so she volunteered to take their shots.” The nurse explained as she got in the car as well. She insisted on getting a cab but Seokhyeong insisted that he will also drop her off to her neighborhood and save her the trouble. The ride was short and in about 15 minutes, they were able to drop off Nurse Han. In another 20 minutes, they were already in Minha’s place. The next struggle dawned on Seokhyeong as he realized it was a long way to walk a half asleep person to her door.
“Minha-ya, can you walk?” He turned off his car engine and tapped her shoulder. He glanced on her sleeping form and smiled to himself. She looked to peaceful. How he was made to deserve this woman, he still doesn’t know. In all honesty, he still believes he doesn’t deserve her. He took his time to drink in her features. He smiled remembering the time when he could only steal glances when she wasn’t paying attention. He brushed her hair away from her face which woke her up.
“Minha-ya, we’re here”
“Where?”
“At home, love. We’re home” He got down and quickly went to the passenger side to assist her.
“Where’s everyone?” She continued to ask as she tried her best to steady herself.
“They all went home. Wae? Don’t you want to spend time with me?” Seokhyeong faked a pout as they started on their walk home.
Minha held her already aching head “How did you even get here. Omo! Where’s the cab driver?!”
“Who?” In the months he has dated Minha, he already saw her both tipsy and drunk a few times. He also already knows she becomes more inquisitive when drunk.
“I was gonna book a cab.”
“But I’m here already”
“But how did you know where to find me?”
“My heart will always find you, Minha-ya”
“Oppa!” She might be drunk but her heart still fluttered at Seokhyeong’s sweetness.
“Was Eunmi able to get home? She’s drunk” She continued to as a bunch of questions before they finally arrived at her door. He punched in her pin code and opened the door for her. He guided her towards the couch and willed her to stay there. He shuffled around her house, heating up water for her tea. He knew she would be frustrated if she realized she went to bed without taking a shower so he knows she needed the tea to sober up.
15 minutes later, Seokhyeong was going to hand Minha a cup of tea but found her curled up on the couch instead. He smiled at this. He was torn if he would wake her up or just let her be. In the end, he settled with taking a shower himself and getting fresh clothes (from the stock he keeps at her home) and watched New Journey to the West. He sat on the far end of the couch, putting her feet on his legs. About 2 episodes after, Minha stirred awake and finally, propped herself up.
“Omo, why are you still awake oppa?”
“I’m watching TV” He stood up to reheat the tea and handed it to her. Together they watched another episode before Minha finally freshened up. When she returned to the living room, she found it empty. Minha opened the door to the room revealing Seokhyeong already asleep on his side of the bed. The sight was enough to make Minha swoon. She quickly crawled to the opposite side, turned off the night lights and snuggled closer.
“Saranghae” she whispered. He woke up and tried to open his eyes as his arms immediately welcomed her in.
“Nado, Minha. Nado saranghae.” Seokhyeong whispered back before pecking her forehead, his eyes still half closed. This is how the sun found them the next morning, arms wrapped around each other, love for one another overflowing.
