It hurt.
It hurt ALOT.
…
Of course, that was obvious. Having your body and mind dissolve in a soup of pure psychic energy would hurt. He could feel his organs boiling away and seeping out of what was left of his skin and flesh.
How had it come to this?
He should have conquered Earth years ago, or was it years ahead? If it wasn’t for those human insects he would be happy. He wouldn’t be rotting away in this hell pit of a machine. If it wasn’t for him… for them… for her.
But would he be happy though? When was the last time he was happy? Why was he doing this in the first place. He shouldn’t be mad at his mother, she was the only one who really cared for him.
The burning agony of the excessive PSI energy pressed down on his brain, burning through his nerves and scrambling his thoughts. Yes. That was it. That was the reason he was feeling this way. It wasn’t anything else. It couldn’t be anything else. It couldn’t.
But even as Giygas repeated that thought over and over doubt creeped in.
What was that feeling, guilt?
Gulit for what he had done?
Done to his mothers planet.
Oh god, what had he done, what had he DONE.
…
He was awful.
He was a monster, a beast. A demon.
After everything that his mother had done for him, THIS was how he had repaid her.
…
It hurt
Everything was starting to blur. Giygas couldn’t focus on any one thought anymore.
He deserved this… didn’t he?
Did he…? Giygas couldn’t think… everything hurt. It hurt.
…
It hurt. It hurt. It hurt. It hurt. It hurt. It hurt. It hurt. IT HURT.
How long had it been… in this… place.
…where was he again?
It had been… how long had it been… what was he supposed to be doing again?
Why… Why. Why. WHY DID IT HURT SO MUCH.
…
Giygas looked down at his… hand? Yes. Hand. Or what was left of it. His flesh was all red. Was it supposed to be that colo… he could see bone? Melted and dissolved. A red gas filled his vision, clouding his thoughts, tearing into his mind.
He felt guilty? Why?
A brief image flashed through it’s… his mind, tinted red and distorted. A blonde woman, looking down at him, a gentle smile on her face. She was humming. Giygas couldn’t hear what it was, he couldn’t hear anything. But he KNEW she was humming. Giygas writhed, knowing it was important. He didn’t know why it was, he just knew…
It… HE concentrated as hard as he could, trying to ‘muscle’ through the pain. It hurt, and the harder it- he tried the more it burned.
If he still had the ability to scream it would have by now.
It hurt so much.
But he kept going.
And eventually a quiet tune began to form within its mind. A motherly voice singing a sweet tune. A melody, simple as could be. It’s harmony grew as a new pain started. A pain different than from before, but a thousands times more agonising.
The melody cut off suddenly as the angony grew to powerful.
Giygas opened what was left of its decaying mouth and let out a cry that would never be heard.
“Mother?”
