Resistance - Evol

Summary:

The time has come for him to pay for his sins and receive deserved retribution. Only he is not the only one paying the price of his actions... Neither does he know exactly what those actions were. But skeletons have risen from their graves, some much older than others, and Victor will have to deal with them all.

Notes:

Alright, this is always very exciting! I have to say I have been looking forward to working on this part for months, and now we're here and I'm practically jumping on my seat! :D

Before you move any further, I need to remind you this is an AU version of the game, my own vision about Evol and how it all happened, so you'll find many inconsistencies with the original plot. So do me a favor, forget everything you know, and jump in with an open mind.

For the ones reading me for the first time, do read the first three parts before you start this one. I usually try to leave lots of easter eggs in my writing (this plot has been written over two years ago, only suffering some tweaks), either by the music I chose, or the dialogue between the characters. Hopefully, it will all come to you and make sense in the end.

Big shout out to Silky-Lavender for kicking ass at betaing! Thank you so much!

Alright, this is it. This is where the tables turn and the paradigms shift! I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 1: The Magician

Chapter Text

The sound of their footsteps echoed through the streets as they walked into the dark alley, hidden by the night.

“We’re here.” He declared, looking around to spot any potential danger.

“Do you think he’ll come?”

“He always does. Today will not be an exception.”

He felt her hand squeeze his, the other one holding on to his bicep.

“Don’t be afraid. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

“I have a weird feeling about this.” She confessed. “Not bad, not good, just… weird.”

“As I said, you are not in danger. I would not bring you here if you were.”

The characteristic music that preceded his arrival sounded in the air. Her eyes widened as she looked around.

“Someone’s playing the violin.” She smiled fondly.

“You can hear it?”

“Of course I can. Why?”

Footsteps echoed in the alley once again. This time, they belonged to another man, the one they were there to meet. He approached the light, showing his face. He had sky blue eyes and angelic blonde curly hair. But what she noticed the most was his smile. It showed no happiness or evil, it wasn’t even neutral. She had no idea what that smile meant.

“Victor.” The man approached them. “It’s been a while.”

“Zero.”
