Chapter 1: Sup Gaster how you doing?

Chapter Text

Trying to find your way out of a dark and seemingly endless void is not a good use of one's time but at the moment I had nothing better to do other than sit and do nothing. I was no stranger to dark places but I was growing more and more bored as time passed. At least I thought time was passing, I had been counting the seconds from when I had first woken up. It had been about 2000 seconds since I had woken up and since I suck at math I didn’t know how to convert that to hours without wasting hours trying to figure it out. So I just kept walking.

After about 500 more seconds I gave up counting because that was getting boring as well. I knew I probably hadn’t walked far but I decided to take a seat for a while and maybe take a nap or something. I sat in a slumped position because I was too lazy to sit ramrod straight and it hurt my back. I was dozing off when I realized that there was someone with me. I rubbed my eyes and looked up to find a white face with cracks running up and down where the eyes were.

I knew who this was and I smiled at him. That seemed to startle him a bit and I gave a small giggle. “Hello, gaster, how ya been?” He tilted his head and two floating hands appeared by his side. The hands moved in familiar patterns. “You are… not afraid of me?”

I grinned and signed back, “no, I have no reason to fear you G-A-S-T-E-R. You happen to be one of my favorites.” That seemed to stun him a bit.

“You… understand me?” I nodded “sure do, it’s a little hard to follow considering your not using American sign language but I get the gist of it.” He seemed pleased with my explanation but then he gave me a questioning look. “But that doesn’t explain how or why you got here. It’s not possible for a human to enter the void as their soul and body would be torn apart.” He leaned in close, searching my face. “So how is it that you are able to do so without consequence?”

I shrugged sans style. “Can’t help you there doc. I don’t even know how I got here let alone why.”  He frowned, not happy with the info I had given him. “What about the cracks on your face do they hurt?” I decided to change the subject. His stare was making me uncomfortable. I have always had these, well after… the accident, but I’m sure you know all about that.”

Another shrug, “sure do doc but uh not in the way you think.” I Chose to leave it at that for now.

“But since I don’t know how long I’ll be here if you want I can keep you company.” He relaxed and his goopy body seemed to take a seat next to me. “That would be lovely, but you didn’t tell me your name.”

I laughed, “I can’t tell you that either cause I don’t remember.” I shook my head and laughed again. “I only remember facts about Undertale and the various versions in the multiverse, I assume you know about that as well?” He nodded. “Well, there’s your answer doc. I ain’t got nothing.”

We sat in silence for a while and I was starting to fall asleep when I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jolted awake. “You should not fall asleep here and as much as I enjoy your company we should find a way to get you out. I am unsure of what the consequences of your prolonged exposure to this place might be.”

I chuckled, “Aw, kicking me out already doc?”

He rolled his eyes “In a sense, yes I am kicking you out but that doesn’t mean I don’t like you. I find your personality very charming.” I grinned “ Thanks doc, I really owe you one.” He ruffled my hair. “You owe me nothing. Now let’s see what we can do about getting you out of here.”

I nodded and stood, as did he. “Now I should warn you that the void is a sentient being and is quite unpredictable at best but destructive at worst.” He moved fluidly as he spoke. “And if we’re lucky we might be able to convince it to let you leave… if not then you’ll be just as stuck as I am.”

I flexed my hands, all this signing was making my fingers cramp. That and when I used sign language my face showed no emotion and I was surprised that Gaster could understand what I was trying to say. “Yo Gaster ima switch to speaking cause my hands are cramping.”

“That is fine, you do whatever is comfortable.”  I smiled. “K thanks, so what else can you tell me about this place?” He tilted his head a bit, “Well for starters the Void is made of everything and nothing. And anything that has happened here also has yet to happen… I hope that made some sense to you.” I nodded, I was familiar with confusing things because I was a hard-core Undertale fan. Though how I knew that was beyond me.

“Anyway, I myself have not yet managed to convince the void to let me return to my world, it seems to find my attempts to do so… amusing.” The way he signed that seemed bitter and slightly annoyed.

“But since you are here it might be possible to get it to let you leave… at least I hope so.” I shrugged. “It’s alright Gaster, even if I don’t get out you’ll have someone to talk to.” He sighed, his goopy shoulders sagging a bit. “ That would be nice though I would much rather prefer to get you out safely.”

I put my hands in my coat pockets (which I just realized were the same colors as Errors coat… and was it just my imagination or was it glitching a little as well?) “That’s real nice of ya doc.”

“It is not a problem… it is just your demeanor that reminds me of my son Sans.” I hummed at the thought. “Well if it’s any consolation he’s the one who showed me the wonders of being lazy.”

That made the forgotten doctor laugh outright. “Did he now? I suppose he also taught you how to be a punny person?” I grinned. “He sure did, tho my puns could be butter and I don’t think I could mustard up the courage to ketchup to his level in pun making.” He stopped and looked at me bewildered.

“Did you just…”  I smiled wider, “yeah but there is mushroom for more than that you know, he ain’t the only fungi around.” He shook his head in disbelief. “Oh dear, what have I started?”

“What? That not tickle your funny bone? Tibia honest I thought that was pretty good. Though I understand if you don’t find it humorous, just know that I got a ton more jokes where that came from.”

“Oh dear please don’t.”

“A skeleton.”

He put a hand on his face and sighed while trying not to laugh, and I grinned. “Do I need to put more backbone into it?” That got him to laugh outright and I nodded satisfied with my work.

“You may be a tough nut to crack Doc, but not even you are immune to the power of bad puns.” He shook his head finally getting his laughter under control. “Thank you, I really needed that it’s been a long time since I’ve laughed that hard.” I made finger guns, “Happy to help Doc.”

Our pleasant conversation came to an abrupt end as Gaster had stopped moving, curious as to why he had stopped. I went to say something when he cut me off with a wave of his hand. “This is a suitable spot… let's just hope the Void is in a good mood.”

I gave a thumbs up and grinned, I was sort of nervous about this encounter, but I told myself that I would be fine as long as I didn’t do anything too stupid.

I didn’t have to wait long as the darkness in front of us took on a familiar shape, and I frowned.

I knew this beast well, the thing that I had put in charge of controlling my nightmares. This was the Ink demon. But what I wanted to know was why the Void chose this form.

“Ok, why did you decide to take that form?” I asked rather bluntly.

Gaster gave me a look but chose to pretend that I didn’t see it. “My my, aren’t you bold.” I rolled my eyes at that. “I chose this form because I wanted to and because it was something your human mind could comprehend. You, humans, happen to be very fragile.”

I shrugged, “eh, good enough for me. Gaster, you wanna ask, or should I?” He placed a hand on my head and pat it slightly. “I will take it from here worry not.”

Giving a thumbs up I plopped down and closed my eyes, I was tired but I knew I couldn’t sleep here. So I sat and waited using my imagination to keep me occupied.

I was in a daze for the most part and a part of me felt separate from the rest, like it was attempting to do something but couldn’t quite manage it. I focused on that feeling, digging deeper and deeper until I found what it was.

I brushed against the feeling and was filled with a rush of energy before it was cut off. I screwed up my face in concentration, trying to get to that feeling again. I was stopped by what seemed like a mental block. I tried again, pushing against the block before I finally got it.

The rush of energy returned and I wanted to try making a weapon because if this was what I thought it was then I thought a weapon might be nice to have.

The energy pooled in my hands and I thought about what kind of weapon I wanted. I came to a decision fairly fast, I had always been drawn to scythes and they seemed the easiest to get the hang of. I pictured the scythe in my mind, A white handle with a long black blade. And where the blade and handle met there was what looked like a Gaster Blaster that held it together. I opened my eyes (apparently I had them closed the whole time) and found I was holding said scythe in my hands.

I grinned, feeling very proud of myself, before realizing that Gaster's conversation had stopped. I looked up wondering what was up and found them both staring at me in disbelief.

“What are you looking at? Did I do something wrong?” I asked.

“How did you make that weapon? It should not be possible for you to do so.” I shrugged at the Void being, “I dunno how to explain it, but ima just say it was magic. Because that seems like the most logical answer to me.”

Gaster had a quizzical look on his face as he looked over my new weapon. “May I hold it? That is if you don’t mind my asking?” I shrugged again. “Eh, sure why not.” I handed it over to him, he ran his fingers along the blade and turned it over before handing it back to me. “How fascinating, you somehow managed to infuse the weapon with my and the Void's magic. It’s very powerful though so it should keep you out of trouble… that is if she is free to go?”

The lanky being seemed to think on that before it grinned impossibly wide. “Yes, of course, she may go, but since I’m feeling nice I will lend you some of my power… That will definitely make things interesting to say the least.”

I felt a tugging in my chest and what I assumed was my soul hovered in front of me. It slowly changed colors which I thought was strange. The Void’s claw-like handheld what looked like a glowing purple sphere and pressed it slowly against my soul. I felt a little tingle before my soul returned to my chest.

“That felt weird, also why was my soul changing colors like that?” They both shook their heads so just went with it. “So I’m going to assume that this isn’t the last time the three of us will meet right?”

Gaster seemed unsure but the Void said nothing, just kept smiling at me, like it was expecting something of me. “I don’t believe that will meet here again but I have a feeling we just might.”

Nodding I leaned against my scythe, “Well it was nice to meet you Gaster but I have trouble to cause.” He rolled his eye lights but there was a small smile on his face.

The Void had left during our short exchange but in its place was a swirling purple portal. I waved at Gaster before jumping through, hoping that I wouldn’t end up somewhere stupid.

-

Well, I didn’t end up anywhere stupid so that was a plus. I landed in an alleyway that was empty and looked around, had to make sure I was completely alone.

I looked down at my scythe and found I had nowhere to put it, then it vanished with a small flash of light. I stood there stunned for a bit before I shook my head. I needed to get moving. I didn't need to be thinking about the how’s and whys of things.

So with my hands shoved in my jacket pockets I left the alleyway.

-a short while later-

I found out which AU I was in and it happened to be my favorite. It was a Bittybones Au, and I was now standing in front of Mama Cry’s bitty store. I was so excited as I had always wanted my own bitty to take care of. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

A little bell above the door jingled letting the owner know a new customer had entered.

I went up to the front desk and greeted the woman standing there.

“Hi, are you Mama Cry?” I asked a little nervously. “I sure am, are you here to adopt or just looking?”

I fiddled with my fingers, “ J-just looking for now.”

She nodded “Alright then just go through that door over there and you can take a look around. Let me know if you need anything hon.” I smiled and nodded.

‘Ok you can do this, just breath’

I pushed open the door and stepped inside. I almost squealed, there were so many adorable bitties my heart wanted to explode.

And while the ones in front of me were indeed cute I felt a tug in my chest. I followed the tugging (making sure not to step on any baby blues or pappy's)

I stopped, I had found the more troublesome bitties and I thought ‘I want all of them, but I don’t have any money.’ I was a little sad but I was happy to just be here.

I felt bad for some of them but didn’t show it, they might be offended by that in some way. And I didn’t want that.

An UnderFell Sans bitty caught me staring and shot me a glare. “Oi, the hell you look’n at”

I tilted my head “You, got a problem with that?” I said a bit snarky. That made him bristle with anger. “Just cause yer bigger than me doesn’t mean ya can look down on me!” I smiled softly, “Well how else am I supposed to look at you? I have to look down in order to see you.” He glared at me. “Look lady, if yer here just to make fun of me then you can-” I giggled, cutting him off in the middle of his rant. “I’m not making fun of you, I’m just here to look around.”

He huffed and disappeared in a flash of red light and I shrugged and continued to look around. I had found a Horror bitty curled up on a pile of small blankets (which I thought was cute) . After looking around for about an hour I left the building promising to visit when I had the chance.

-days later-

Apparently, I did have money but since I’m blind I didn’t know it was in my jacket pocket. I entered the bitty store and immediately headed to the back of the store.

I wanted to see that Fell bitty, I was going to adopt him and a few others.

But first I sought out the Horror bitty I saw a couple of days ago. He seemed lonely and I thought he could use a friend.

I found him asleep on the same piles of blankets and was trying to figure out how to wake him without getting my hand bit off.

“Hey lady, what you doing here again”

I recognized that angry voice anywhere and I smiled. “Well, I’m going to adopt you and this Horror bitty and maybe a few others.” I turned to see Little Red's disbelieving face and stuck out my tongue.

“Yer crazy lady, he ain’t gonna like ya. Yer more likely to get yer hand bit off.” I rolled my eyes. “I know Red, I did my research.”

I got down on my knees and gave the small Horror bitty a poke. “Hey there man, it’s time to wake up.” He sifted and opened his eyes. He trained his blood-red eye light on me, sizing me up.

I moved slowly as to not startle him. I backed up a bit (while ignoring the surprised look Red gave me) “Would you mind if I adopted you?” I asked softly. I loved bitties and I had always wanted a Horror bitty. I didn’t know why but I just did.

He seemed surprised that I asked him that and gave me an odd look. “Why would ya want me? M’, not exactly the best look’n ya know.”

I smiled, he seemed so shy and I found that adorable. “If I wanted a different bitty I wouldn’t be sitting here now would I?”

He was silent for a bit before he answered. “Well, yer polite and ya seem nice… I guess I don’t mind having someone like you adopting me.”

I smiled wide and cupped my hands, inviting him to climb on.

I held him in my hands as gently as possible while also making sure he was comfortable. “Ya coming Red?”

He grumbled a bit before appearing on my shoulder. “Sure why not lady, he seems to like ya, but if ya turn out to be a bad owner Ima make sure ya regret living.” He glared hard at me.

I laughed, “Bold of you to assume that I don’t already regret living Red.” My comment seemed to stun him into silence. I moved on before he could say anything about it.

“I gonna find a Sansy, hope you two don’t mind?” They shook their heads and I continued on.

Soon enough I found what I was looking for. This one like Horror was asleep on a pile of blankets.

Red called out to the sleepy sansy “Oi, lazy ass, get up.” The bitty disappeared off my shoulder and landed next to the sleeping bitty. Said bitty jolted awake as soon as Red grabbed him by the hood and began dragging him in my direction.

“Jesus Red can’t a guy get some sleep?” He asked tiredly. Red snapped something about me adopting them both and they appeared on my shoulder.

I grinned as I made my way to the front desk. I was proud that they seemed to like me, I honestly thought there would be a little more fighting or someone (me) getting hurt. But things had gone pretty smoothly.

In the time I had been in this world I had learned how to open portals and get whatever I needed (courtesy of the Void) and that included food for my new bitties.

I paid for the three of them and left the store. I wanted to go to the park and maybe lay down some rules while I was at it.

Chapter Text

I managed to find the park easily enough, the swing set was calling to me. I could feel it... in my bones. (bad joke I know fight me)

I took a seat on one of the higher swings and just closed my eyes and let my lungs fill with the fresh air. 'this is going to be one hell of a ride, but these guys are so cute and I'm too stubborn to give up on them.' I look down at Horror, he had snuggled into my lap and was hugging my finger (and I cannot stress this enough but it was so cute) and looking off to the side.

Red was perched on my shoulder, playing with one of my loose curls. Apparently, he seemed to think it was the softest thing in the world as he said, and I quote, "how in the hell is yer hair this damn soft?!" I had shrugged and just said that I didn't do much with it and let him continue playing with it.

Mentally shaking my head, I brought myself back to the present. Something was up with Horror and I wanted to know what. 'I really need to come up with better names for them, but that can wait, my little bean needs me.'

I repositioned him in my hand so he was facing me. "What's up little buddy, something wrong?"

He avoided my gaze and that sent an immediate red flag in my brain. "Hey, you can tell me what's bothering you. I won't get mad if that's what your worried about." He played with his fingers still refusing to look at me. I let him take his time, I had a feeling I knew what was wrong but I wanted to hear it from him.

When he finally spoke his voice was soft and quiet like he was treading on thin ice. "s'nothing really... just I was wondering if maybe... if maybe I could have something to eat?"

I gave him a reassuring smile and reached into my pocket and pulled out a bag of snacks. "sure thing little man, you don't need to ask, just tell me if your hungry and I'll give you something." I gave him a few gram crackers and a few fruit snacks as well.

I sighed mentally, there were a few things we needed to get done and I wasn't sure how to go about this so I decided to just wing it.

“Ok, guys we need to set some ground rules, nothing too big but just so we can keep each other safe.” Yeah, that sounded better in my head but moving on. I poke Sansy to wake him up. He needed to hear this too whether he wanted to or not. Once all three of them were situated in my lap I began to list a few rules. “So, first things first, no biting people or other bitties, I’m looking at you Red.” Ignoring the look he gave me, I forged on. “Second thing, if you ever need something tell me. I’m serious here guys if there’s anything you want to talk about you can tell me. I won’t judge cause I’ve had a pretty shitty life myself.”

They seemed a little uncomfortable with that but I just pat their heads, silently telling them it was ok. “Third thing, I always need to know where you guys are or if you plan on going somewhere. I don’t want you to get hurt, I’d never forgive myself if something bad happened to any of you three.” I smiled at them, hoping they’d believe me.

“Fourth thing, now this isn’t a rule but I will tell you now before you get any doubts about me taking you back. I will never take you back because of something you’ve done, I will always love you guys and nothing you say or do will change that. You can say mean or hurtful things but that won't change how I feel about you guys." I sighed, "Now I know this sounds stupid but it's true, I'd rather die than hurt any of you whether it be by accident or on purpose I can promise you I will never lay a hand on any of you with the intent to harm." All three of them were completely silent, their expressions ranging from shock to awe.

I smiled at them and felt my heart melt at the sight of them. "Now let's go raid a hotdog stand!"

~not even ten minutes later~

"Eat!Eat!Eat!Eat!" A small crowd of people were chanting at two people having a hotdog eating contest, I being one of those people and the other was someone I didn't know.

I really don't know how I got here but my bitties were cheering me on and I had to make them proud. Unsurprisingly I wasn't even halfway full, I could more than a family of four and then some. Stuffing my seventh hotdog in my mouth I reached for two more, this may be unladylike but I didn't give a shit I was hungry and this was the perfect opportunity to eat my heart out. On the plus side, I didn't have to pay for the dogs either.

I eyed the man next to me and mentally scoffed, he hadn't even gotten to his eighth hotdog yet. If this smug guy thought he could beat me at eating of all things he was dead wrong. I looked at the timer in front of us, only three minutes and I had only two dogs left, nice.

I picked up the pace (knowing my stomach would complain later) and somehow managed to stuff the last two dogs in my mouth and chewed furiously. I swallowed just as the timer hit one minute and I stood and slammed the table in victory and the small crowd cheered, some of them had doubted me because I looked really skinny. One of them even had the audacity to ask if I had eating problems, and in a very degrading way at that. I was about to pull out my scythe and give him eating problems when Red launched himself off my shoulder, screaming profanities at him, and proceeded to bite the shit out of his hand. Safe to say he wouldn't be talk'n shit like that again.

I leaned close to my opponent and smirked. "Better luck next time." I turned to my Bitties with a stupid grin on my face, Horror (now known as Snack) seemed very proud of what I had just done. As for Red and Sansy (now known as Razor and Marshmallow), they were talking quietly to themselves and I let them be. The crowd dispersed and my friends and I left before my opponent could say anything to me. He was nice but I really didn't feel like staying any longer than necessary.

I still had shopping to do, and I still didn't know where I was going to live so I had to grab a few things before finding someplace suitable (and by that I mean hop around different universes until I found one to my liking because apparently, I can do that now). I found a grocery store close by and walked in. I wouldn't need much just enough food to last a few days and anything I didn't feel like paying for I could store in a pocket dimension (Ya'll know what I'm talking about so don't at me in the comments I don't know how else to word it at the moment)

Shopping didn't take too long, I found what I needed without any problems and paid for my stuff and left. But something didn't feel right, that was easy... too easy. Hmm... something was going to happen and I wasn't sure what. I suddenly realized that I hadn't told them what I could do, I figured I could put it off until I got everything I wanted from this world. I looked at the sky, the sun was about halfway up so I still had time to do what I wanted.

I had all three of them in the biggest pocket on my coat and they seemed comfortable enough for now so I decided to just wander around.

I somehow ended back at the bitty store and I had a thought, maybe I could get just two more bitties... I just got these guys this morning but... ah fuck it ima do it. I opened the door and walked inside. Mama Cry greeted me at the front desk with a smile, but she looked slightly worried like I had only come back to return the ones I'd bought. Fat chance lady, I love these little ones with all my heart, and nothings going to happen to them.

I told her I just wanted to look around some more and she relaxed a bit before letting me go. Now let's see if I can't find a Cross bitty.

~

The good news is I found what I wanted. The bad news is he didn't want anything to do with me.

To be fair he has his reasons and I respect that but that's not going to stop me from adopting him anyway. I suddenly grinned, I had an Idea. "Tell ya what, I'll make you a deal, you let me adopt you and I'll give you all the chocolate you want." He glared at me like he thought I was lying.

"How do I know you're not lying?"

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small piece of chocolate. "You'll just have to trust me." I smiled softly and handed it to him. He sniffed it a bit before taking a bite.

He seemed to find no problem with it and he looked up at me. "Human, you have a deal."

Chapter 3: Playtime At The Park (And Ink Shows Up And Tries To Save Me From Error) Pt 2.

Summary:

I explain my abilities and Error shows up but only because he wanted some chocolate... Ink seems to think I'm being attacked. Dumbass

Oreo (known as Cross) is a little defensive over his chocolate dispenser

Me... I just wanted to talk to Error but no Ink had to ruin that -_-
(Edit) Error is in fact a forced destroyer but it's been centuries since he went insane so he's pretty chill now just tired and sick of Ink and his bullshit. He's willing to go along with anything that will lighten the amount of work he has to do. just so yall know. and I cannot stress this enough INK IS AN IDIOT

Notes:

I finally managed to get this done *lays on the ground* now if you'll excuse me I'm going to play Minecraft now

Chapter Text

I walked out of the store happily with my new bitty, Snack, Razor, and Marshmallow sat on my shoulders. As for Oreo (the cross bitty if you forgot cause I did oops), he was resting in one of my larger pockets, wanting nothing to do with me but that was fine. As long as I gave him chocolate and he let me take care of him we'd be fine. Though I still could not get over the fact that the jacket looked exactly like Error's old jacket, and if I looked hard enough at it I could see the little glitches on it. They were barely noticeable though so that was cool.

Now all I needed to do was find a place for us to live which shouldn't be too hard to do. I still have no idea where or how the Void managed to lend me so much money, but I figured that if anyone asked, I'd say that I've got rich grandparents or something. If I didn't run into a Sans, of course, those guys were living lie detectors. Oh well, I was pretty good at avoiding people and blending in with the crowd.

Let's just hope things will go my way for a little longer...hmm? Why do I hear boss music? Eh, must be in my head.

~4 hours later~

Apparently, I really shouldn't have said what I did... I jinxed myself. Bones, string, and Ink are flying everywhere. Okay, you know what? Fuck you Fate, you can kiss my ass.

What I want to know is why is Ink such an idiot? The fact that he doesn't have a Soul is no excuse either. I feel bad for Error though, he's a nice guy... at least he was nice to me before Ink showed up.

~before Ink arrived to cause trouble for no reason~

I had decided to head back to the park to figure out a game plan for me and my new friends when I saw a familiar skull at said park. He was sitting on one of the swings eating something. Looking closer I saw the familiar blue streaks down a black skull with red, blue, and yellow eyelights. Yep, this was Error Sans, Destroyer Of Worlds. Cool. I'm gonna go say hi. Probably not the smartest idea but when has that ever stopped me.

He was eating what looked like a chocolate bar (probably one he stole from Underfell) and I took a seat next to him on one of the swings. I had to keep Razor from attempting to bite him which wasn't very difficult but it made the situation a little weird. As for Marshmallow, Snack, and Oreo, they were sitting quietly which wasn't strange that is if they weren't completely still as well, which I suppose was because of the aura of power that came off of the dark skeleton. I suddenly wondered what he'd think of my jacket and then I thought that he most likely doesn't care. I had apparently zoned out because I hadn't noticed the Error was trying to get my attention.

I blinked a few times after I finally realized what was happening, and I turned to face Error, "About time, I thought you left the planet for a moment there." I laughed a bit, "Sorry it's a bad habit of mine to just zone out like that." I grinned. "But I've also got a personality that's out of this world." He chuckled seemingly to be in a good mood so I figured I could relax a little so I did. "We've been looking for you you know?"

I groaned, "Don't tell me that this is a save or destroy the multiverse situation, because I am definitely not the one you want for the job." He chuckled, "Sorry, but it is that kind of situation and I am aware that you didn't ask for it either. I mean I don't want my job any more than anybody else but if I don't do it then the entire damn thing will collapse and I'm fairly sure not even Ink nor I could survive that."  I sighed, it's not like there was much I could do about this situation, I had no past as far as I knew and I wasn't keen on letting my new bitties die a terrible death just because I was too lazy to do anything.

"Well, it's not like I have a choice, though I'm pretty sure anyone else in my place would refuse to help or cry about it or both. Plus I happen to like living, it is a favorite pastime of mine, and I'm not keen on giving it up." That made the dark skeleton grin. "At least you have a sense of humor." I grinned and winked at him. "I learned from the best."

He sighed, tossing his candy wrapper away, and stood. "How long do you plan on staying here? If you won't be staying long I might be able to find somewhere for us to talk about this in detail." I gave Razor a small pat before placing him and the others in the pockets of my jacket and I stood. "Well I haven't really been here all that long, so whenever works for you is fine by me." He nodded.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I was filled with a sense of dread. Something was coming, and it wasn't good.

I jumped back just as a wall of ink shot up from the ground destroying the swing set and separating me from Error. It seems Ink had decided to show up, which I was not happy about. And neither my bitties, if the cursing was anything to go by.

~present time~

I managed to get far enough away from the fight to watch the two Gods fight. I was not happy with Ink at the moment but there really wasn't anything I could do maybe I could step in if things got too hectic. I tensed again, feeling a presence behind me, and judging by the aura of positivity, this must be Dream. I whipped around catching his hand before he could try anything. "Don't. Touch. Me." I released his hand and stepped back.

He seemed surprised by my reaction but the look quickly went away as he opened his mouth to explain himself. I held up a hand stopping him before he could even form a single syllable. "Whatever you're about to say the answer is no."  My hair covered most of my face but one eye peaked out and was set in a harsh glare. He blinked a few times, stunned by the fact that wouldn't even let him speak.

He tried again to say something. "But-" I cut him off again. " I said No, Dream. What part of that don't you understand?"

I turned to walk away and took no more than three steps when he grabbed my arm and blurted out "Wait! Please let me explain-" I yanked my arm away and I pushed him away while also summoning my Scythe and pointing it at him. "What did I say about touching me?" I was fully pissed at this point. Yeah, I knew Dream was one of the good guys but he also followed everything Ink said without question. And there was really no getting through to him when Ink is involved so I figured it would be best to avoid him until I could knock some sense into him.

Making sure my boys were alright I hissed at Dream, "Don't you dare Ever touch me or come near me again. I mean it Dream, I don't want to hurt you but I will if I have to."

With that, I turned and ran away in the direction of Error's fight. It was time to go and I wasn't keen on sticking around any longer.

"HEY ERROR, LET'S GO!" I yelled as I swung my Scythe a wave of purple energy shot out and cut through the bones Ink had sent in Error's direction causing a small explosion. Error looked back at me in surprise but nodded and opened a portal. I hopped through sending one last attack at Ink and yelled "EAT SHIT YOU OVERGROWN INK BLOT!". The portal closed before I could hear or see what happened after that attack but I didn't really want to know.

I managed to land on my feet but had to use my Scythe to steady myself. When I was done the Scythe disappeared with a flash of purple light and checked to make sure everyone was ok. I gently took them out of my pockets, going over them to make sure I hadn't hurt them by accident or anything. Finding that they were fine if not just a little shocked by what I just did I let Marshmallow and Snack rest on my shoulders while Razor and Oreo had taken residence in my hands.

I looked back to make sure Error was ok when I realized just exactly where we were. The room itself wasn't familiar but the dark theme was. This was Nightmares Castle... Awesome.

"So this is the one we've been looking for? That was quite the entrance, at least you didn't break anything." I looked back to see Nightmare standing right in front of me.

I had to push my excitement down which was really hard cause this was one of my favorite Sans's ever!

I just gave him a smile. He had no idea the amount of chaos I could cause, and he'd find out soon enough. Hehehe sucker.

Chapter Text

I had to push my excitement down, trying to keep calm was not easy. This was Nightmare, one of my all-time favorite Sans ever! I took a deep breath. "Hello Nightmare, I would tell you my name but it seems that I don't remember it, so until I come up with something I guess you're stuck calling me human." He chuckled, his demeanor was laid back and calm. Which I took as a sign that he was in a good mood.

"While that is unfortunate, I must say that it is a pleasure to meet you." I grinned. "Oh, wow, so formal. Are you always like this?" He rolled his eye light and turned away motioning for us to follow. "Only when I have to be, are you always snarky and sarcastic?" I laughed, putting Razor and Oreo in the pockets of my coat so my hands would be free. "What, me? Sarcastic? Noooo." I heard Error chuckling behind me, Nightmare sighed but I could tell he was trying hard not to laugh.

My bitties were silent, which was understandable, considering they were in the presence of two very dangerous people. I'd be scared too if I were them but I quietly reassured them that everything would be fine.

I heard the sounds of fighting and wondered what Nightmare was up to. Maybe he wanted me to fight one of his boys, to determine how strong I might be. Yeah, that would not end well, mostly because I would probably start fangirling the moment the fight started. Oh well, I'd find out when I got there I guess. The sounds got louder the closer we got.

Nightmare opened a door leading outside and I saw who exactly was fighting, it was Dust and Killer. Both looked pretty beat up but they stopped as soon as we stepped outside. I was careful to keep my bitties calm though Marshmallow had fallen asleep the second we started walking so I figured he'd be fine. I would just have to keep Razor from biting anyone, which was easier said than done. Snack had at some point climbed on top of my head like he was keeping a lookout, which I thought was adorable.

"Dust, Killer, take a break for now and grab the others, there are some things we have to talk about." His tone left no room for arguing though Dust gave me a strange look. I chose to pretend that I didn't see it. We went back inside and entered a very large living room with a kitchen next to it. I immediately took a seat on the dark blue couch. My feet were starting to hurt from walking around all day. I really thought I was gonna have a problem finding someplace for me and my boys to stay.

Razor and Oreo climbed out of my pockets and onto my lap, while Marshmallow moved so he was resting on my chest. Snack opted to stay perched on my head for some reason but I just let him be. Error took a seat next to me and began knitting something. I thought it probably wouldn't take long for everyone to get here so closed my eyes for a little bit, trying not to fall asleep.

I heard footsteps a few minutes later and reluctantly opened my eyes. So much for a power nap.

I looked up and found Killer, Dust, Horror, and Cross sitting in various places staring at me. Smiling I waved a little. "yo."

They were all silent so I shrugged and made myself comfortable in my spot. Horror was the first one to speak after a while. "So, What's a human like you doing in a place like this? Anyone else would be trying to run just at the sight of us." I shrugged "I'm not just anyone, plus I happen to like you guy's so there's that." That seemed to surprise him and the others so I continued. "And I've been taught not to judge a book by its cover, that and I can protect myself, I find that offering people food is a good way to make them leave me alone." I gave Snack a little pat on the head to stop his growling, it seemed he didn't think too highly of his larger counterpart.

Killer spoke up next. "You know we could just, kill you right now and be done with it."

I nodded, "Yes, you could most certainly try." I smiled and stared unblinkingly at him tilting my head to the side a little. My staring must have unsettled him because he looked away two seconds later. You got your creepy face and I have mine, eat my shit bitch. Cross spoke hesitantly, it was almost like he was afraid to piss me off. He had nothing to fear, it took quite a lot to make me mad enough to hurt somebody but I could appreciate his carefulness. "So, uh, what's with the um, small things you've got there?"

I grinned. "Oh these little guys, well this little guy on my head is Snack." I ignored the strange looks I got and continued. "And the sleepy bean here on my chest is Marshmallow." I gave him a little pat with my finger and almost cooed at the way he nuzzled my hand. " The one in red is Razor, 'cause he's got sharp teeth. Almost bit someone's hand off a few hours ago, the little shit." Razor glared at me and I stuck my tongue out at him. "And this other little shit is Oreo, named after my favorite cookie and because the color scheme fits." Said little shit was digging around my pockets looking for something, I knew what he wanted and opened a small portal big enough to fit my hand through and grabbed a chocolate bar.

This act surprised all of them (except Error he was too busy knitting something, was that a scarf? maybe.) I once again ignored the looks and unwrapped my chocolate bar before grabbing two more and tossing one to Cross and one to Error.

Error caught his and continued knitting, completely ignoring everything around him.

Cross almost dropped his in surprise which was pretty funny, though I totally didn't laugh on the inside. Totally not laughing inside right now.

I broke off a small piece and gave it to Oreo, who settled down on my lap eating in silence but I could tell he was happy. I looked up. "Any other questions?" Dust sat up a little more a small grin on his face. "Yeah I got one, how well would you do in a fight?" This question wasn't surprising at all coming from him so I figured I give it my best shot (even though Nightmare wasn't in the room I had a feeling he was watching nonetheless).

I shrugged. "I could hold up pretty well in a fight, I'm a lot stronger than I look." And to prove my point I casually summoned my Scythe, the blade began to glow purple as I continued. "I got the hang of this thing pretty well, if you want to, maybe we could have a battle later. If there's time and if Nightmare allows it." My weapon disappeared in a flash of purple light. The grin on Dust's face grew wider "Heh, yeah I'd like to see what you can do." Killer sat back watching me while playing with a knife, I ignored him though, if he had a problem with me he would have said so before.

Horror stood (Causing Snack to start growling a little when he got too close) and went into the kitchen, muttering something about making lunch.

It was then Nightmare decided to make his presence known. "I see that all of you are getting along well." He mused. "As for the fight, you have my permission." he looked at the clock on the wall. "Lunch won't be done for about another hour so if you want you may do so now." I looked at Dust for confirmation and he seemed ok with it.

"Alright then I guess we can do this now, I wonder what abilities I have now though? Oh well, I guess we'll find out" I carefully place my boys on the coffee table and asked Error to watch them because I didn't want them to get hurt. Once they were situated I stood and followed Nightmare and Dust out of the room. I wasn't sure if I could do this but I had to try.

I had a feeling I would need the battle experience later on.

Chapter 5: Battle Start!

Summary:

I have little experience in writing this kind of thing but I am most definitely going to try.

Chapter Text

Nightmare had led us outside the castle to a clearing for us to battle, after that he left but I was very sure that was watching not too far away. I stood at one end of the clearing and Dust was on the other side. "So, would you like to go first?" I asked with a nervous smile. He grinned and nodded.

And before I could think 'oh shit' a wave of sharpened bones flew towards me, I moved to the left and then had to go back to my original position as another barrage targeted me not long after. Summoning my scythe I swung it, releasing a blast of purple energy at Dust, and mentally cursed when he teleported away. I spun around just in time to dodge more bones. Suddenly I felt immensely heavier than before and I frowned. Apparently, I'm blue now. yay.

Dust smirked at me. "You're Blue now."

I rolled my eyes, "Jee thanks captain obvious." I braced myself for the next attack, if this was anything like Bad Time Sim then the next wave was going to be tough. I was forced to the ground and had to put everything into jumping up or I'd risk being impaled.

Not a good time at all. I managed to make it through the wave-like attack that came quickly after. And just as expected (which surprised me because I'm almost never right about anything) four Gaster Blasters appeared in an X pattern and I threw myself forward just as they fired. I jumped back into the middle and just barely missed the beam of light at the last second. It singed my sleeve though but I was for the most part unharmed.

I was breathing pretty hard and the fight had barely begun, but I readied my scythe, the blade was glowing purple, like the eyes of enderman purple. More bones flew at me and I did my best to avoid them. I was pretty much out of breath at this point and I realized just how shity my stamina was, I really need to exercise more often because with the way the battle was going I was going to lose.

I decided that staying too far away or too close would be way too difficult for me so I'd have to settle for somewhere in the middle.

Running forward I swung my scythe at any bones that I couldn't get around, causing dirt to get kicked up into the air creating a cloud of dust between the two of us. I figured he might expect an attack from all sides but he wasn't keeping an eye on the sky. So I tried something risky. I threw my scythe at him as hard as I could and opened a portal above him. The attack was blocked of course but the weapon itself was thrown into the air just like I hoped. I dropped through a portal on the ground, coming out the other side in the air and I grabbed my scythe and prepared to swing it downwards.

He looked up and grinned at me, the cocky bastard. I heard a Blaster charging up to fire but I tried not to panic, I had a feeling that would happen and I was ready for it. I swung my scythe releasing the magic (at least that's what I'm thinking it is) that had built up and aimed it at him.

At the same time though the Blaster fired and I opened a portal behind me and the blast went through the portal. as I was falling I noticed the Dust had teleported out of the way of the scythe attack and I grinned. I opened A portal behind Dust and the blast from his previous attack hit him in the back launching him forward. I managed the land without breaking my legs and I stood there breathing heavily.

When Dust stood up he was covered in dirt and he was frowning. oh oops.

He looked up at me also breathing hard. "Well, that was certainly unexpected." I shrugged. "Expect the unexpected man, that's like the first thing to know in the middle of a fight." He grinned and wiped the dirt and grass off his face. "I suppose your right, wanna take a break? You look Bone tired bud." I shook my head no, I may be out of breath but I could continue. He shrugged, "Alright if that's what you want." I smiled to myself, this would be the perfect opportunity to make a flirty comment and I decided to take it.

I winked at him. "That's not the only thing I want~" I opened another portal underneath me, smiling at the stunned look on his face. his cheeks were dusted (ha get it) with a purple color. I appeared behind him, grabbed him by the scarf, and pulled him hard. We fell back and I wrapped my legs around his waist pinning his arms to his sides and we fell through another portal and came out of another in the air. I was hoping that all this sudden movement would stun him long enough for me to get the upper hand.

I twisted so his body was facing the ground and I released him with a push to the middle of his back with my foot and he slammed into the ground with a grunt. Tucking into a roll I landed a little less than graceful but I didn't break anything so that's a plus. I grabbed my scythe and stood up only to duck down a second later to avoid the bones shot in my direction.

Moving left and right I tried to keep from getting hit and I couldn't use my scythe because the speed of the attacks were too fast and too close together. Since I was too busy dodging I couldn't think fast enough to realize that Dust teleported behind me and I was flung backward, as I passed him he smirked and he raised his hand and my body followed his movement.

The blue magic keeping me from moving released me and I was surrounded by Blasters from every angle. I had no time to protect myself and hopefully, this wouldn't hurt too much. I curled up into a ball at the last second and braced myself, when they fired it felt like my body was on fire but my clothes seemed to take most of the damage. I began to fall and I uncurled my body, noticing that my clothes were smoking and I lost my scythe at some point. I hit the ground hard, I lay there for a few seconds just trying to catch my breath. I had one last attempt to win this damn fight and I was going to take it.

I struggled to my feet, ignoring the angry protests from my body while doing so.

Dust had a smug grin and I intended to wipe it off his face, I hated to lose and this fight was no different. I remembered something Gaster had told me about my scythe, how I had somehow managed to copy his magic in order to make it. I wiped my face and saw that my nose had started to bleed at some point. I ignored it and focused on making my last attack.

A large portal opened in the ground and a strange black substance rose out of the portal. It formed a large sphere that bulged in some places, before the portal that brought it here closed. It looked and smelled like ink but it was much darker than your normal ink.

I figured I could do something with this and I thought of a favorite book of mine, I could vaguely remember the contents of the book and the title itself but I was more focused on the monsters in the book that I could use here. I focused intently on the large bubbling black mass and imagined the giant spider monster from that book.

Said large bubble complied with my wishes, growing eight massive long legs and an even larger body and head. The large beast touched the ground causing it to shake with the impact alone. It opened its glowing purple eyes and faced Dust, bearing its fangs and letting out a sound that seemed to be a mix of shriek and a roar.

Faster than Dust could move the giant spider was already behind him and shot a net of thread at him, launching him forward before sticking to the ground in a white cacoon of thread too strong for him to break out of. The spider positioned its head over his body and kept its fangs bore at him but not making any further movements.

I approached with a slight limp, using my scythe to keep me from falling over. Huffing I asked, "How's that for a special attack?" He looked back and forth between me and the giant behemoth I had summoned and shrugged. "That's pretty damn good, pretty sure this thing could cause a natural disaster just by walking. ya did good bud, but uh, could you let me go now?"

I laughed a little and began the cut away the thread holding him down before helping him to stand. The large spider moved to my side and settled down on the ground causing the earth to shake once again.

I looked up when I heard the sound of footsteps coming our way and I began to wonder just how I was going to be able to explain this massive thing sitting behind me without a care in the world.

Cross, Killer, and Error were running in our direction but stopped a few feet away when they saw that Dust and I were fine, but then they looked up and their jaws dropped. I gave a small wave and grinned. The looks on their faces were priceless, My bitties were clinging to Error's coat and completely ignored the beast so they could throw themself's at me. They began to bombard me with questions and it took about ten minutes to get them to stop and calm down. While I was doing that Nightmare showed up and began explaining what he saw during the battle, Which would mean that I wouldn't need to.

Once everybody had calmed down they all turned to look at the giant spider who sat towering over us all with an almost unamused expression. Like none of the skeletons present could ever hope to beat her in battle. At some point, I had decided that it was a girl since female spiders tend to be much larger than the males.

I grinned at them, "So is lunch ready yet?"
