Chapter Text
It's a deadly relationship. Like the relationship between a snake and a lion. The snake could kill the Lion with a single bite, but the Lion could eat the snake with one little bite. It's just a question who will react and attack first. Because love will kill the weak ones.
The throne, whoever will take over it in the end. A big shiny crown, with diamonds and rubies is waiting to be taken over.
"Do you want one too?" Sanzu reaches out to Mikey and offers him one of his cigarettes. The red carton of the cigarettes is already overused and seems dirty.
"Yeah, sure", Mikey smiles coldly and takes one out of the carton, stucks them between his white teeth and looks up to Sanzu.
His eyes seem empty and cold, and still speak more emotions than his mouth ever would.
"What do you want?", Sanzu asks, looking down at Mikey.
"The cigarette doesn't light itself." His voice sounds calm, almost jokingly considering the situation.
Sanzu smiles, takes his black lighter out of his jeans and bows down to Mikeys face.
The lighter takes some tries, until a red flame dances above the lighter. Sanzu holds it near Mikey's cigarette and waits until the tip of it starts turning black and red.
Mikey sighs, takes a deep breath and inhales the taste of the fresh cigarette, nodding thankful.
Sanzu falls back on the couch and sighs: "How long do you wanna continue living like that?"
"Like what?"
"Like nothing. Just smoking, eating or sleeping when you have to and staring into the blank. How long do you want to continue like that?"
"Until it kills me."
Silence fills the room again, only the breathing sounds of Mikey smoking are able to be heard sometimes. The scent takes in the clothes and fills the room with an old vibe.
"We can still change that….you can't do this to me Mikey." Sanzu keeps his voice low and calm, so Mikey doesn't take it as an insult. But Mikey never really cared about the fact that Sanzu cares. Sanzu tries to save him from his death everyday, like a Lion saving its little kids when it starts raining. But Mikey is the baby that stays in the rain, looks up to the clouds and prays to the Gods to never stop the rain from falling.
He's trying to escape his despair with every little thing he can cling onto, but at the same time he is pushing everything away that could give him something to hold him in his place.
Just don't push Mikey over the borderline, he might fall and never reach the ground if.
Sanzu sighs and gets up from the couch: "Come with me Mikey."
"Where do you want to go with me?"
"To the bathroom."
"Why that?"
"You'll see. Now come with me."
Sanzu helps Mikey undress and folds his white shirts and pants neatly, laying them beneath his blue pyjamas. The water in the tub is warm and some bubbles are swimming on the water, covering Mikey's pale body like the one of a baby.
"Is it alright like this? I hope the water is not too hot, I was a bit distracted while the tub filled up."
"No, it's fine like this, thanks." Mikey's red lips form a nice smile.
Sanzu undresses too and gets behind Mikey in the tub.
"Is it comfortable?"
Mikey doesn't answer, but at least he doesn't complain, so it must be comfortable indeed.
The pink haired guy takes Mikey's blonde hair and forms a little ponytail with them, saving them from getting soaked. Then, he starts rubbing Mikey's back, softly, with a white sponge.
Mikey's attention is focused on the yellow playduck, swimming in front of him in the water. It's holding an ice cream and wearing a cute pink hat.
"The duck is cute right?"
"Yeah", Sanzu chuckles and takes a look at the duck over his shoulder. His eyes then wander back to Mikeys naked back and arms.
His pale skin seems like it would rip any second, only colouring the water red. Some scars from old fights appear pretty visible, reminiscent of his old story with the Tokyo Manji Gang and all of his stories after.
"Do you have any plans for tomorrow?", Mikey asks after some time of silence.
"Uh not really, just taking care of you as always."
"Then do something nice. Whatever you wanna do, I can also handle myself on my own."
"No you can't, you know that", Sanzu whispers and kisses Mikey's shoulder lightly.
Mikey doesn't reply to Sanzu's words, he seems to be agreeing in silence.
"Do you want to go with me Mikey?"
"Go where?"
"Eat something nice and watch the beach?"
"Mhm…", Mikey starts playing with the rubber duck, letting her swim around the tub and also swimming against his arms. Just like he would fight with the duck.
Sanzu smiles. Mikey looks so innocent and lovely playing with the duck in the bubbly water...hard to believe that he is all black and blank inside his skinny body. Pale like a deep well, where you bend down to look for your lost pennys.
"Okey, I will join you."
"Thank you, that's sweet." Sanzu kisses Mikey's shoulder a second time and lays his head onto his shoulder, sighing happily. Mikey's body is warm and wet, it feels oddly comfortable. Mikey always is comfortable, but he's too black on the inside to be lovely on the outside.
"Do you have anything specific you want to eat?"
"Nah", Mikey mumbles and his head falls against Sanzus, who smiles even more happily. This boy is just amazing to him every moment again. Suddenly he feels so near to Mikey. Like lover and lover chilling in the hot tub, playing with a weird looking rubber duck and planning their date. So sweet.
"Can you stop the smalltalk now?"
"Alright, sorry", Sanzu sighs, taken back to reality. Theres Mikey, the real Mikey, the cold Mikey.
There it is again. This cold wall between the two lonely boys. One longing for affection, and one longing for this single person.
"Let's get you out of the tub before you turn into an old granny from the outside", Sanzu chuckles, trying to lift the mood a bit again, and also trying to ignore the aching pain in his chest. Heartache.
Mikey gets out of the tub, rubs himself in his blue towel and sighs at himself in the mirror.
"I will head to sleep now."
"But you didn't dress yet?", Sanzu calls him back confused.
"Who cares? I don't need to wear pyjamas.
"But you will be cold", Sanzu mumbles and comes to Mikeys room: "At least wear the shirt allright? You always sleep without the blanket at the top."
Mikey nods, dressing with the blue pyjama tshirt and sighs.
"Please turn off the light when you leave."
"Of course….", Sanzu goes back to the door and looks back at Mikey once again. He looks like a little kid, whos tired from the playground games and the time he had to go to school. But hes not tired from the playground. He's tired because hes alive.
"Good night Mikey." With that, Sanzu leaves without looking back at Mikey.
