Outed: A Kiribaku fic

Summary:

"I'm so dead," was the only thing that entered his brain as he tried to understand the scene in front of him.

Eijiro Kirishima, his red-haired classmate, was pressed up against the island counter by Katsuki Bakugo, held still by the blond’s grip on the front of his shirt. This would have been rather unsurprising from the fiery-tempered Kaachan, if it weren't for the fact that their lips were pressed together, Bakugo using the shirt to pull Kirishima closer to him as he ran his other hand through Kirishima’s hair.

An accidental discovery by Midoriya ends up revealing Kirishima and Bakugo's relationship to the entirety of Class 1-A. Revel in Class 1-A antics in Outed: A Kiribaku fic.

Work Text:

Izuku Midoriya rubbed his eyes as he stared at the ceiling in his room. He was tired, yet still unable to actually fall asleep as his mind kept fixating on how he could improve his control over One for All. After tossing and turning for what felt like hours, he suddenly remembered his mom making warm milk for him when he couldn’t fall asleep as a child.

“It couldn’t hurt to give it a try,” Midiroya thought as he slipped out of bed and down the dark and quiet corridor. He could hear the occasional snore or grunt of one of his classmates. He smiled slightly to himself. At least everyone else didn’t seem to have any problems sleeping.

After the elevator ride, the trek down to the kitchen was short, but he was a little surprised to see light peeking through, under the doorframe.

“Huh? The light is on… That’s weird. I didn’t expect anyone else to be up,” Midoriya mumbled to himself as he headed for the kitchen door. He pushed the door open and stopped in shock.

"At least they’re distracted… Maybe, if I can just…” Midoriya thought hopefully, as he tried to back away from the door as slowly as possible. He cringed and his heart stuttered as his arm hit a bowl on the nearest counter and it tumbled, hitting the floor with a far-too-loud clang.

“Huh?” Bakugo growled, jerking away from Kirishima, his eyes locking with Midoriya’s across the kitchen.

Midoriya waved his hands in front of face. "I swear, I didn't mean to intrude Kacchan,” he squeaked in panic.

*Moments later*

"I'm sooooo soooooorryyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!" Midoriya yelled as he ran down the hallway towards the common room.

"Don't run, Deku, you coward! Let me kill you like a man!" The first explosive blow landed across the couch of the common room as Midoriya dodged to the side, One for All Full-Cowling crawling across his skin on instinct. Sparks flew from Bakugo’s hands as he prepared for another attack.

“Kaachan, we shouldn’t be fighting! Especially in the dorms!” Midoriya narrowly avoided another blow, this one landing across one of the walls instead, causing it to crumble in areas. He internally cringed as he heard the thumping of footsteps and raised voices above them.

“I’ve got to get him outside so we don’t destroy the whole dorm,” Midoriya realized, trying to formulate a plan to get to the door as quickly as possible.

"Stay still you little pipsqueak!" Bakugo yelled before they both heard the sounds of Tenya Iida’s engines barreling towards them at full blast.

"Bakugo! Midoriya! What in the world are the two of you doing?" Iida demanded as he put himself in between the two boys. Midoriya looked between Iida and Bakugo rapidly, Full-Cowling still sending energy along his skin.

"Well.. Kacchan..." Midorya started.

Bakugo let out a deep growl of anger at the mention of his name.

"Bakugo, calm down!" An out of breath Kirishima called, running down the hallway.

"How the hell am I supposed to calm down!?!”

"It's not a big deal, man."

Bakugo lowered his gauntlets for the first time with a little "tch".

"Now, can someone explain to me what exactly happened," Iida repeated. "There must be a very good reason for you to damage the property our wonderful school built and provided for us."

Midoriya glanced at Bakugo carefully, unsure of how to answer Iida.

"What's going on? It’s too late to be fighting." Mina Ashido yawned as she and many of the other students emerged from the elevator, attracted by the noise and chaos.

"Deku, are you ok-" Uraraka Ochako started to ask, before she was silenced by Iida's hand.

"I am still waiting for an answer." Iida glared at the boys.

"It's nothing. We're out of here," Bakugo snarled, grabbing Kirishima.

"I don't think so," Aizawa's voice penetrated the hallway.

Midoriya flinched as everyone turned their attention to their teacher.

"Aizawa-sensei, I apologize for the late disturbance." Iida bowed.

"It's not your responsibility to apologize here, Iida. And it wouldn't be the first time with these two." Aizawa turned to the troublemakers. "So, what was all this about, Problem Children? Do you really want to get expelled that badly?"

"It was an accident," Kirishima blurted out.

Aizawa turned his attention to Kirishima. "The damage seems pretty intentional. Care to explain further?"

"Ummmm... well..." Kirishima managed to turn a color similar to his hair. "Any chance we can talk about this in your office?" Kirishima asked hopefully. Midoriya nodded enthusiastically in agreement, noting that the rest of Class 1-A was starting to gather around.

“If you wanted to handle this privately, then maybe you shouldn’t have destroyed the dorm common room,” Aizawa noted, glaring sternly at the three boys.

Bakugo clenched his fists, noting the sullen look on Kirishima’s face. “It’s my fault, Aizawa-sensei.”

The whole class went silent in shock for a moment.

"Did he just?" Denki Kaminari whispered to Mina.

"Yeah, I think he did,” Mina agreed.

"Shut it, you two," Bakugo snarled.

"Eeeep!" they jumped back in alarm.

“So, what happened?” Aizawa’s question cut through the chatter.

“Deku walked in on… me and Kirishima…” Bakugo paused before glaring at his teacher, as if challenging him. “Kissing.”

There was a much longer pause throughout the entire area.

"Whaaaaaaaaaatttttttt?" The hallway erupted into noise, questions and comments flying at the two of them, quickly.

“Kissing a boy?” Minoru Mineta recoiled.

“You and Kirishima?” Momo Yaoyorozu blinked in surprise.

“I knew it!” Denki crowed.

“You get it, my man, “ cheered Hanta Sero.

"Wait! How long have you and Kirishima been a thing?" Mina insisted, sparkles in her eyes.

"Quiet," Aizawa barked, death-glaring the class into silence. "Kirishima, Bakugo, come with me. Midoriya, if you are injured, visit Recovery Girl," Aizawa turned towards the door as he spoke.

“But Aizawa-Sen-”

Aizawa turned back to look at Midoriya. “I’ll handle this.”

Midoriya watched anxiously as Kirishima and Bakugo followed their teacher out of the dorms, the doors closing ominously behind them.

“Deku, are you okay?” Ochako asked, trying to break the tension.

“It’s okay, he didn’t hit me,” Midoriya answered despite that being a blatant lie, his eyes not moving away from the door.

"At least lay down on the couch," Ochako said.

“The couch…?” Both of them looked over at the couch, which was now in shambles.

“I think we will need to wait for a new couch, *ribbit*,” Tsuyu Asumi said, examining the ruins.

“I think it’s amazing it didn’t catch fire,” Sero noted, also checking out the couch. Mashirao Ojiro used his tail to hold pieces together while Sero made an attempt to wrap the broken pieces back together with his tape.

“They probably ordered fire-proof furniture,” Kaminari added. “I mean, with Bakugo’s temper this was bound to happen.”

"Hey, Deku, did you know that Bakugo swung that way? Or is he actually bi? We could be bi-buddies!" Mina asked, throwing one of her arms into the air in excitement.

“Huh? Oh… No, I didn’t... I mean, I knew that he never showed interest in girls; he always said that girls were more hassle than he wanted to deal with, but Kacchan has always been so focused on becoming the number one hero; I thought he was just super focused; I mean he still is, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like guys too; I mean I want to be the number one hero, but it isn’t like I don’t notice girls-” Deku started to mutter to himself, the words coming out so quickly it was hard for the others to follow.

"As long as they don’t break rules, it shouldn't matter who Bakugo and Kirishima date. They're probationary heroes like the rest of us.” Iida reminded the class. “That being said, Bakugo needs to learn how to respect this space provided to all of us."

"Yeah, the real question is who's the top," Kaminari noted. The class stared at him.

"What?"

"That is none of our business and they shouldn't be doing anything to determine that in the dorms." Iida scolded, as Jirou shocked Kaminari.

"I'm surprised you know what top and bottom are, Iida," ribbited Tsu.

"I'm not ignorant, despite what some people think.” Iida blushed despite himself as several of his classmates grinned toothily at him.

Deku felt distant from the conversation, despite it going on around him. Until he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Are you okay, Midoriya? " Yayorouzu asked.

"Yeah... I'm just worried about Kacchan. He seemed really upset.... I mean more than usual."

"People can often feel ashamed of being different or "not normal". He obviously wasn't planning on revealing his relationship right then. But it isn't against UA code to be in a relationship. So, other than Bakugo letting his temper get the better of him again, I doubt they’ll be in trouble," she noted calmly.

Ochako nodded in agreement. "Honestly, if he wasn't such a hot-head, I’m sure it wouldn’t have been such a big deal. I mean, if he wanted it kept quiet, I don’t think you would have told anyone.”

“Of course not; that’s between Kacchan and Kirishima,” Midoriya agreed.

A squeal interrupted their quieter conversation. "I should totally get Bakugo a Pride pin or something like that!" Mina waved her hands around the air.

"I don't think he’d appreciate that…” Ojiro noted, a sweatdrop forming at his temple.

“And I’m sure Aizawa-Sensei wouldn’t appreciate it if any of us fell asleep in class tomorrow. We should all be getting some sleep,” Iida reminded the class, talking over everyone.

With that, everyone started filtering back to their bedrooms, still chattering. As Midorya headed back to his room he couldn’t help but sigh. “I guess I won’t be getting that milk after all.”
