The Lust of a Werewolf

Summary:

Kotori was a year younger than Umi, so fourteen years old, and not to mention that she was a sun-angel, practically considered a demi-god. So not only was it wrong for Umi to be physically attracted to a fourteen-year-old, but it was ten times as wrong to be physically attracted to a creature that was born so pure that they were unable to feel any kind of lust.
Yet here she was, a teenage werewolf, creature of the night and wilderness; heavily physically attracted to her soulmate and girlfriend, a pure, if extremely, mischievous, rather insecure and quiet, fourteen-year-old, sun-angel.

Tician, the devil and god of the underworld, was going to eat her soul.

Notes:

Wanted to expand on Umi and Kotori's past since Bound by Destiny doesn't give me many opportunities to do that ^-^

Chapter 1 - Lust of a Werewolf

Umi Sonoda grew up under a specific set of rules that was what gave their family the edge integrated into their bloodline.

Honest

Courageous

Effortful

Disciplined

True

Those rules were what they lived their life by and in return, they gave them the strength to overcome every challenge.

Well…

...Almost every challenge.

There was one challenge that Umi frequently wished that their family’s code and morals could make them escape, and it wasn’t one that Umi could exactly avoid.

“It’s cold, Umi-chan...”

Umi found themself startled out of their thoughts by a voice with hints of a beautiful sing-song quality to it along with someone’s arms wrapping around their left one. It was Kotori. The sun-angel-mage had finally made her way back outside from inside Honoka’s house, after no doubt waking the ginger up and keeping Umi outside to keep them from giving Honoka a lecture or smack upside the head.

“It is January,” Umi pointed out to the younger girl and looked over at her. “So it’s only going to get colder, Kotori.”

“Well yeah,” Kotori mumbled and sniffled a little, her nose being an adorable red, “but it's colder for me than it is for you and Honoka.”

“I know,” Umi agreed, after all, werewolves always ran warm and couldn’t sweat nor shiver, “I’ll find some time for us and Honoka to go to the mall or something and get you a thicker coat and clothes and a new school sweater.”

The sun-angel had given her charmed sweater to another teenager the other day, when the weather was still nice and warm after Kotori’s miracle involving warming and turning snow into a warm powder to protect the influx of homeless from freezing to death during December. Just another group of freckles on the sun-angel’s beautiful face.

“Thank you,” Kotori mumbled into their warm vest, and Umi made a mental note to give the sun-angel their vest till they managed to squeeze a trip to the mall into the sun-angel’s always packed schedule. Maybe if they shifted-

It dawned on Umi that Kotori was shivering, and that she was missing her scarf.

- no, that wasn’t soon enough.

Umi gave an inward sigh, Minami-sama wouldn’t like it, but Umi was going to have to pull rank and excuse Kotori from political lessons today. The sun-angel needed warmer clothes, and fast.

The sun-angel wasn’t used to the very chilly weather of their home city anymore, not after the burst of international trips and December being comfortably warm all month long.

Rather than even ask where the sun-angel’s missing scarf went, as she had probably forgotten it in Honoka’s house or at Kotori’s grandma’s, Umi simply unzipped their loose padded windbreaker and turned toward the shivering sun-angel, “come here.”

Kotori’s golden eyes lit up and she hastily released their arm in favor of leaning up on her toes to kiss them on the cheek with a hasty, “thank you, Umi-chan!” She then closed the remaining distance between her and the teenager werewolf and hugged them. Snuggling up to the taller girl and hugging them around the waist.

Umi stuck their hands into the pockets of their jacket and crossed the sides of the jacket over Kotori’s back, thereby blocking any cold air from hitting their soulmate’s back. Though they were grateful that they were trained to keep their emotions off of their face.

Umi didn’t blame Kotori for snuggling to them for warmth, not when Kotori naturally drew a good deal of her own body heat from the sun’s rays, so she was easily chilled. Nor was Umi’s mind being part of the gutter, despite their best efforts, Kotori’s fault. It also wasn’t Kotori’s fault that having the sun-angel pressed close to her made Umi’s mind veer off, their heart increase in speed, and the werewolf in them sink it’s teeth and tug on the temptation like a dog tugging hard on a rope toy.

Especially when the temptation was so freaking wrong.

Kotori was a year younger than them, being fourteen years old, and not to mention that she was a sun-angel , practically considered a demi-god. So not only was it wrong to be physically attracted to a fourteen-year-old, even if Umi was only fifteen themself, but it was ten times as wrong to be physically attracted to a creature that was born so pure that they were unable to feel any kind of lust and physical drive.

Yet here they were, a werewolf, creature of the night and wilderness; physically attracted to their soulmate and girlfriend, a pure, if extremely, mischievous, rather insecure and quiet, fourteen-year-old, sun-angel.

Tician, the devil and god of the underworld, was going to eat their soul.

This was the one thing their family’s code couldn’t fully help them with, the intense physical attraction toward their soulmate. Damnit, Umi scowled, why did werewolves have to have such a short puberty span? Meaning their hormones were always high strung and out of proportion for their age.

It didn’t help that Kotori was really beautiful, and adorable, silly, cute, and really sexy even for her age and how slow angels physically matured, seeing how they had till they turned twenty-one for everything to kick in naturally.

Nor did the whole, ‘we are both adopted parents and that makes us ten times closer even without being actual mates yet.’

Well, Umi resolved, not for the first time, that the next seven years were going to be painful.

“Sorry I’m late-!” Honoka burst out of her front door and paused, not that Umi blamed her, as they was probably scowling, staring off at something or other, “-I had to eat breakfast…” the other werewolf trailed off, before Umi practically saw a light bulb appear above Honoka’s head and the ginger smirked at them. Someone’s having a rough day today, Honoka teased them in their telepathic childhood bond and gave them a telepathic nudge as Kotori gave her a greeting, which was muffled by Umi’s shirt and jacket.

“It’s okay, did you get your stuff?”

I would like to see how you fair in this situation, Umi grumbled, but I can’t, seeing how you’re still very single and Kotori’s mine. Umi loved Kotori to death, they would go to the ends of the world and back for the beautiful sun-angel that was one of their best friends, their soulmate and also their girlfriend, but this was the only thing that annoyed them about being bonded to her.

Sorry, I know you don’t like being teased about it, Honoka quickly backed down, no doubt aware that it was a sensitive topic for Umi. After all, they both had talked extensively about it in the past.

“Come on,” Umi released Kotori from their jacket bubble and put down their bag when Kotori instantly started to shiver again, “let’s get you to school,” they took off their jacket and wrapped the sun-angel up in it, “before you turn into a popsicle, Kotori.”

“Yeah, popsicles are tasty, but I’d rather not have my best friend turn into one!”

Where Kotori had been touching them tingled, and Umi’s belly still burned, longing for her, even if they instantly put it aside, just like they always did.

Have you talked to her about it? Honoka’s voice prodded the other werewolf softly and Umi instinctively glanced over at Kotori, as to make sure that she wasn’t silently listening to the conversation. They couldn’t feel her mind being telepathically linked to them in the form of a conversation, plus the sun-angel was fully occupied with her drawing while she was in study hall. Kotori drawing made Umi happy, as Kotori loved drawing, she just didn’t alway have the time for it outside of airplane rides and car-rides.

About which part? Umi replied calmly to Honoka from where they were sitting at the table beside Kotori with a book open in their hands. Going to school was just part of their job as Kotori’s bodyguard like they usually did, as Umi’s “school” was online classes that they barely had time to work on every day to score perfect marks via having already learned everything during Kotori’s classes.

You know what I’m talking about, Honoka insisted, you’re smarter than me, Umi!

Don’t put yourself down Honoka, you’re plenty smart yourself, Umi disagreed with the ginger’s statement, if mainly to avoid the topic at hand. Because yes, they knew exactly what Honoka was talking about.

They didn’t want to talk about their lust problem, even if said “problem” was perfectly normal for werewolves at their age, especially as they turned sixteen in two and a half months. Which Umi was dreading, a lot.

Come on, Umi! Honoka grumbled, you know, your whole, ‘wanting to have sex with Kotori’ problem!

Do you have to say it like that? Umi inwardly rolled their eyes, you make it sound like all I want with Kotori is a fling.

You want her to be your full mate, not just your lover, Umi, Honoka replied with enough logic that Umi could’ve asked her what she had done with the real Honoka. Mating and having a physical relationship with her is a huge part of that! You know that, I know that, and I bet even she knows that!

Honoka, I have the rest of my life to make Kotori my mate, I don’t have to have her as my mate right now. Besides, Umi huffed, it’s not like it’s common for werewolves to have a full mate at my age, anyway.

So? Since when were you and Kotori part of the people everyone calls normal, Umi?

I hate it when you’re right, Umi grunted and felt Honoka’s rush of pride for being right and pointing out a flaw in Umi’s logic, for once.

I love that I’m right instead of you, for once! Honoka grinned and Umi could hear the grin in her voice before it turned serious, but this is serious business,Umi. What are you going to do?

“I’ll be right outside,” Umi murmured to the sun-angel, who nodded vaguely, invested in her drawing. Which Umi could now recognize as their daughter Maki, in her wolf form back many years ago, snuggled up to a wolf’s underbelly, a wolf that had to be Kotori if she had had a wolf form. Umi’s heart stung at the reminder that Kotori really did love the now six-year-old and had moments where she wished she was a werewolf, if only just for Maki.

Umi silently left the room and shut the door behind them before returning their attention to Honoka’s conversation. What am I supposed to do, Honoka? There’s no reason my issue as a werewolf should bleed over and cause Kotori more problems and stress.

It involves her!

Only partially, and she’s busy enough without it, Honoka. She has a year left of training before she’s a full liaison and not to mention she’s a high school student and an adopted mother. Besides, Umi gritted their teeth and leaned back against the classroom’s wall with their arms crossed over their chest, she’s an angel. She doesn’t have a sex-drive and won’t till she’s twenty-one.

But she could! Honoka disagreed, she’s raising a werewolf cub with you, that has to change something in her! Come on, if Kotori has the ability to nurse, just like a werewolf mother would to their child, then there has to be physical changes in her!

Umi telepathically groaned at the half-sound logic.

Kotori was perfectly capable of nursing, something that most werewolf mothers did with their child, even adopted ones, by the child’s choosing up till the child was ten-years-old. It was something the sun-angel had adopted the ability to do within the past six months. Just because she can nurse Maki doesn’t mean she’ll magically have some sort of sex-drive Honoka. Not when angels are born without the ability to have one till they’re twenty-one. I would know, I’ve researched and looked around.

Yeah, but since when do angels have relationships with werewolves? Honoka disagreed stubbornly and Umi clenched their jaw in irritation, you and Kotori are the first! You need to talk to her!

Honoka, we are busy ninety-nine percent of the time, not to mention raising a child for crying out loud! Why is it so hard to understand that sex is the last thing on her mind, if it’s even on her mind at all! Umi snapped, Kotori’s not interested, okay?! I will handle it! Just drop it, leave it alone already!

They didn’t need someone to get their hopes up, especially when the logical part of them, the human part of them, told them that Kotori wasn’t interested, that the sun-angel had enough on her plate without Umi causing more to stack up onto it.

You’re going to turn sixteen in two months, Umi! You have to have had sex with her by the time you turn sixteen, otherwise you’re going to do something you’ll regret, you know that!

I’ll handle it, Umi grunted, I won’t let anything happen.

They didn’t know if they could keep that half-promise.

Umi watched, silently, leaning against a wall and watching Kotori with Maki. The sun-angel was wide awake, though she did appear a little more relaxed now, likely from the now sleeping child laying across her lap, snuggled into her body.

Normally, watching Kotori nurse their cub, who was still trying to catch up to everyone else her age in size, and then doze with Kotori made Umi’s heart warm and they often found themself sitting beside Kotori on the comfortable recliner with their arm around Kotori’s waist and Kotori’s head leaning against their shoulder, but… they just couldn’t do it today.

Not after their conversation with Honoka.

Kotori hadn’t commented on Umi’s lack of closeness, likely from hearing her mom and extended family fighting again, which always made the sun-angel more quiet and reserved.

The arguing could still be distantly heard through the door of Maki and Umi’s bedroom.

Umi hated it.

Kotori did too.

Maki twitched in her sleep and mewled, whimpering from whatever was hurting her in her sleep.

Umi watched Kotori quietly brush Maki’s messy red hair from her face and brush her fingers over the tiny six-year-old’s ears, soothing her. Umi also felt Kotori’s mind press lovingly against the young child’s, further reminding her that she and Umi were there with her.

Umi wished they could stop the small child’s nightmares. Maki was six now, but she was still, even now having nightmares, which told Umi that she and Kotori were missing something in their relationship that was causing Maki to be unable to completely mask the memories of her toddler years, and Umi knew what it was.

A physical relationship with feelings involved was something that brought two people even closer together and that was especially true with werewolves. It brought them together, yes, and made their minds and hearts mesh even closer together, but it also did something with their relationship for children. It meshed their minds together in a way that brought a child protection and could overpower, dull, and mask traumatic memories and help them get over the trauma itself.

Still, Maki was doing well. The small red-head was still really small and physically and developmentally a few years behind due to the treatment done to her by her biological family, but she was getting better. She was getting better with English, was acting more like a six-year-old every day, and she was getting so big.

She had weighed and acted like a two-year-old when they had found her, after witnessing her father’s attempt to kill her, despite that she was four, not two. And now? Within the last six months and Kotori’s help, the little girl had been growing a lot.

“She’s getting so big.” The words slipped out of Umi’s mouth without them meaning to.

Kotori smiled and Umi’s heart swelled at the look of motherly love on the sun-angel’s face as she looked at the sleeping girl. “Yeah,” her voice was soft, with undertones of a rasp that told Umi that she was indeed torn up over her family fighting again, “yeah she is.”

“You’re the reason she’s able to, you know,” Umi told her softly, though they stayed where they were. It was easier to maintain themself if they weren't touching her. “This,” they gestured to the sun-angel and the asleep child, referring to the fact that Kotori had been nursing Maki before the child had fallen asleep, exhausted, “is why she’s able to really grow and start to catch up like she has.”

Kotori’s cheeks dusted themselves pink, “I’m glad it’s helping her,” she whispered even though another particularly loud shout from outside the door made her flinch. Umi didn’t need the bond with Kotori’s mind to notice the insecurity flicker in their girlfriend’s face, she could see it on her face.

They knew that Kotori was insecure in general, Kotori’s mind was always a whirlwind of uncertainty, uncertainty of what she was supposed to be, who she was, what she looked like, who she was supposed to grow up to be, all of it. But Umi also knew that Kotori was even more insecure about her body lately with the physical changes that came with nursing Maki and the whole “freckles for every miracle no matter how big or small thing.” The sun-angel had even developed a hesitance around mirrors and so Umi had taken their own bedroom mirror down here in the Minami manor, as a way to help make her more comfortable in the room.

“Hey,” Umi got Kotori’s attention and got her golden eyes to focus on them, “you’re beautiful, Kotori.”

Kotori’s blush darkened, and she gave Umi a shy smile that made Umi’s heart both melt and squeeze, “thank you, Umi-chan, I…” she tilted her head down a little but kept her smile, “I needed that.”

“I know,” Umi hummed to her, “and I just wanted to remind you that you’re the most beautiful creature in the world to me.”

“Sometimes you can be such a charmer, you know,” Kotori giggled a little and Umi smiled at the success of getting her to smile and feel at least a little better about herself even if for just a little while.

“Yes, but it’s a quality reserved just for you,” Umi smiled a little wider, and the smile widened even further at Kotori’s smile and how she got up and walked over to them. At which they immediately opened their arms to welcome her and Maki into.

“I love you,” the sun-angel hummed and stepped into Umi’s embrace, looking up at them.

“I love you too, my little bird,” Umi responded and wasn’t surprised by Kotori leaning up on her toes. Umi leaned down and pressed their lips to Kotori’s in a kiss.

Even if part of them wanted more than that one sweet kiss.
