Kame can be referred to as the equivalent of "super human" in the dictionary, Jin has always thought. He can run the whole way from Tokyo Dome to NTV studio back and forth in less than half an hour and feels unbothered. He can sleep 20 minutes for a week and still manages to look fresh and energetic for people's eyes no matter it's 6 in the morning or 12 at night. He can change gears smoothly from a cute squishable little kitty to a wild untamed tiger in a spilt second. He's really way beyond the human race, but apparently there is a limitation to what even a super human can do because Kame just can't pretend to save his life. He is not blessed with the talent unlike Jin.
He can act though. He can act very well. Once given a role, in order to pull it off as much real as possible, Kame literally becomes one with the role. He lives instead of his characters, cries in their pains and smiles in their joy, but that's not pretending, because he just doesn't know how to. He can't simply close his eyes and imagine and feels the same as when he's actually doing something. That's why Kame's always sexually depressed, Jin tells him all the time. Kame needs to see with his own eyes, touches with his own fingertips, tastes with his own tongue and only like that he gains the pleasure he's seeking for.
So when instead of crushing their mouths together Kame just oh so tenderly pats his head and pecks on his lips, Jin knows something doesn't feel right here. Knowing him, it really doesn't take Jin that long to realize it's because he's not Kame. That face, that smile, those well-mannered features. Jin doesn't know them. Those are what you expect from a reliable host, a good proper TV personality. A stranger. The Kame Jin knows doesn't smile like that, doesn't barely touches his hand and instantly pulls away as if it burned him. The Kame Jin knows doesn't treat him like a fragile doll that might fall from your hand one day and shatters into a hundred pieces.
He's not Jin's Kame. He's an actor and obviously not a practiced one because, God he's so incapable of doing his job. His smile is broken, his kiss boring, his touches don't even arouse anything within Jin. It's like he's forced to play a role he didn't volunteer to. He says all those sweet nice words, tries to be considerate, asks Jin if he's comfortable, wonders if Jin liked that and smiles casually, tries to smile because it doesn't even reach his eyes, dies right there on his lips. His Kame has never been this stiff.
Jin knows he doesn't feel anything either. He can tell the difference between when Kame is actually thrilled about something and when he just puts on a pleased mask to not let other people down. But Jin is not other people. He senses it when Kame's not himself. He can literally see it with his naked eyes when he tries to pretend it's fine, that he's alright and everything is under perfect control. But there's something Kame has forgotten. He just sucks in pretending. This whole show he's made up just sucks. At least, Jin doesn't want to be part of it.
The moment Kame leans in to give him one of those cold emotionless kisses again Jin blocks him by his hand, pushing him back on the chest. Kame looks at him confusedly, with eyes that show no hint of sparkle. Enough of that. Jin gets up, leaves him sitting there cluelessly on the edge of the bed while he reaches for the drawer, searching. If Kame wants to keep this shit on, let him do, but Jin, for one, can't take it anymore. When he comes back he's holding a small shiny object in his hand. A lipstick. He knows he's going to regret this later when he's in his sane mind but he can't give a damn about later now, not as long as Kame's insisting to keep this silly show on.
He sits back right in front of Kame, slowly brings the tube up before his face and looks at how Kame's eyes follow. He removes the lid, twists it up gradually till the golden brown color of it shines out. Even his half-tipsy brain laughs at his choice of color, at the irony of this all, but Jin has shut his brain down long ago. He can't care less. Let's give the actor a kiss scene, he thinks. His tongue sneaks out briefly, wets his lips. Jin can't help but notice how Kame unconsciously copies the action and licks his. He smirks. Kame's already more alive now. Embarrassing himself is going to worth it. He's just happy there's enough amount of alcohol in his veins to encourage him to go on.
He starts from the center of his cupid's bow, dots the upper lip a few times and hopes the pressure is enough for the color to sink in, trying his best to follow the lines of his mouth without a mirror before drawing the tube down, swiping it from the left corner of his bottom lip to right but doesn't stop there, he catches Kame's eyes, wants him to see especially this moment when he screws up his perfect little show and lets his hand cross his lips line, the lipstick runs on the smooth skin of his face, turning everything gold on its path right down to the side of his chin. Jin knows he's being such an annoying tease when Kame gulps visibly, and he's not even done yet. That was just the preparation stage.
Throwing the lipstick away, Jin presses his lips together tightly, low-key enjoying the sound they make when he repeats the action. But more than him someone else is liking this. Jin just loves how Kame is trying and failing to sit on it and restrain himself. It's only a matter of time until his wall break down but no way Jin's that patient to sit and wait. He reaches out, takes the base of Kame's loose tie in his hand and gives Kame one last second of confusion before closing the space between them and doesn't let go until he's got the matching gold print on his mouth as well.
Kame is such an idiot. Jin chuckles to himself once he starts kissing him back with as much passion. A pair of shiny lips with a little pinch of glitter was all it took him to drop his guard and just come back. Jin should've done it sooner had he known the result was this promising.
"I could've done better," Kame says as he breaks away for air, brushing his thumb ghostly on the corner of Jin's lips, wanting to clean the edges but then he remembers, takes his hand away immediately, only this time Jin doesn't approve, catches his hand midway and presses it on his lipstick smeared cheek gently, makes Kame feel it, feel him.
Kame's too busy struggling he doesn't notice when Jin leans in and catches his lips once again, this time making it slow, lets it last until Kame gives up, calms down and just accepts it.
"You know," Jin smiles a little shyly, pressing Kame's hand on his face more, "I won't break if you touch me a little sometimes."
