''What is it you're looking at, miss Nao?''
Nao thought she was looking at perfection. The perfection in question had taken off her coat not too long ago and Nao could see her strong muscular arms even more now. These arms were preoccupied with carrying some heavy boxes, taking them away from the hands of the other men around her. Nao didn't have the chance too see the people around her, because these arms were placed on her waist now. Nao knew what was under that gray turtleneck, and every time she thought about it her cheeks reddened. It was obvious she took good care of her body, if those abs meant anything else. Nao always had a special spot of muscular women, and now was not an exception. It took her a second to realize that the 'perfection’ caught her gaze and winked at her, making Nao a blushing mess, and another two seconds to realize that someone was calling her from behind and she just got caught staring at Reko Yabusame!
''Ah, Kai!'' She turned around to face her crafting partner and waved her hands around ''I was, uh, looking at the sea! It's very quiet today, that's unusual!''
The sea was, in fact, not quiet today. At all.
''There's no need to lie to me miss Nao, I won't judge. Sometimes I find myself looking at one of the fighters too'' Kai smiled softly and looked behind Nao. She followed his gaze and saw that the househusband was staring at- Q-taro!? Nao knew she didn't have a say in this because her taste in men was, well, unqualified and just- not there, but she was surprised. But that doesn't mean she can't tease.
''So, you like him?'' Nao giggled and watched as Q-taro tried to lift the heaviest box while getting yelled at by Reko about how he needs help and how he should stop trying to show off, completely aware of the fact that Kai was watching him. ''I think he likes you too.''
''I believe that miss Reko is just teasing him, he is not actually trying to show off.'' Kai signed and grabbed some wood. ''I can't show off to him though, but i can craft.''
Nao frowned and placed her hand on his shoulder ''Don't be like that Kai! I've seen the way he acts around you, I still think that he likes you! After we're done here you should totally talk to him.''
Kai's face got slightly red but he quickly hid behind his hair ''I can engage in a conversation with him later, I would like that yes, but I need to think of what we could talk about.'' He looked at Nao and slightly smirked at her ''I think someone might like you too.''
Nao knew what he meant and she quickly looked behind her, only to see certain someones brown eyes watching her. She caught her fast reaction late, so she waved at Reko, hoping she didn't notice her blushing face. The rockstar smiled and waved back, then got back to her work at judging her fighting partners.
''Anyway, we should go back to work! Professor will be disappointed if he sees I haven't been working as hard today.''
The minutes kept passing by, every group doing whatever they could to keep themself safe and alive. As Kai and Nao were crafting a small table. They heard a loud ''OUCH'' from the bushes behind them. They quickly got back on their feet to check what's going on, only to see their beanie wearing friend getting out of the bushes. He was covered with leafs and veins, and Kai couldn't hold a quiet giggle. Shin heard that, though, and immediately glared at him.
''That's not funny! A weird bird tried to attack me and take away my food so I had to run away from it!'' He defended himself as he tried to remove the leafs from his arms. ''Uh, sorry to keep you away from working, but can you guys remove these things from my back? I don't think I can reach there.''
Nao and Kai smiled as they helped their friend out.
''Couldn't you just throw a rock at it? I'm pretty sure that could make it fly away from you?'' Nao asked as she finished cleaning him up.
''Uh- well, no! There weren't any around me..''
''I'm pretty sure there's a lot of rocks and sticks in the forest.'' Kai raised an eyebrow.
''Oh you guys perfectly know why I didn't defend myself, don't make me spell it out for you..'' Shin looked around, trying to come up with something that could change the subject. ''You guys are pretty behind work today. I mean, I knew Kanna wasn't there to help you, and I'm not complaining, but I thought you guys loved doing this?''
Nao's face reddened and she tried to explain ''Well, we do love it, but we got kind of distracted today. We'll do way better tomorrow though!''
Her and Kai's eyes flickered to the group of people behind them. Shin followed their gazes and immediately understood. He smiled and nodded, his own eyes looking between the blonde policeman and the prisoner with crazy hair instead.
''Yea, I totally get why you would get distracted.''
