Work Text:
· You had always looked at him.
· You tried to be subtle about it.
· Your eyes showed interest, but you seemed hesitant to approach him despite the curiosity he saw in your eyes.
· William James Moriarty was intrigued by you.
· He had made several attempts to talk to you, but you would always make a habit of disappearing.
· He asked around about you.
· You were a mysterious sort to many. Your background was not known or where you came from.
· It seemed as if you suddenly popped into existence one day.
· You were a hard worker. You helped those in need without any discrimination to class or background.
· You helped educate and feed the children in the orphanage and on the streets.
· You worked many odd jobs: librarian, bakeries, and gardening to name a few.
· The people in the area grew protective of you.
· They also spoke of your intelligence.
· How you would tell them about the proper importance of hygiene such as boiling water, safe products to wash clothes with, and the importance of boiling water before drinking it.
· You explained it in easy ways they could understand and showed them proof, never one to look down on others.
· You helped with minor illness the lower class would suffer from as well, ways to get rid of coughs and possible causes.
· The more William learned about you, the more he was intrigued.
· The more he wanted to catch you and learn about you.
· As he watched you peek at him from around the corner, he smirked.
· Let the game begin.
