   Summary

   Jaime Lannister does not kill Aerys as he is not guarding him. Instead rather than listen to the cackling of the mad king he goes to guard Elia and her children. Aerys gives the order as soon as word reaches back that Tywin Lannister's men have entered the city to sack it. Eddard Stark had just arrived at the Red Keep with a group of his trusted men when the wildfire ignites and Lord Tywin Lannister's men are well inside the city sacking it with Lord Tywin still at the Gate of the Gods with a half of his forces. The war thus takes a turn as Lord Eddard Stark and Lord Tywin Lannister end up very changed men after their fight for survival with those under them within the walls of the toxic inferno and dealing with the horrors brought on by such.
