Work Text:
It was a warm, sunny day in Ticino, Switzerland. A family was laying down on the green grass, staring up at the sky.
“Mama! Look at that cloud! It looks like a donut!” The small, blue haired child shouts out happily.
“It does look like a donut! Doesn’t that one over there look like a heart?” Emma says cheerfully, pointing up at the sky.
“How does that look like a heart? It looks like bunny ears.” Karin says, refuting her fiancé’s statement.
“I agree with mama!”
“Thank you, Bella. But how is that 2 bunny ears?” Emma questioned Karin.
“How do you see a heart?”
“You guys are acting like children.” The red haired boy says back, annoyed.
“Rei, that’s not very nice.” Karin says to her son.
“…sorry.”
“Rei, Bella! Want to come help me with dinner?” A voice shouted. The family sits up to see an older lady standing at the front door.
“Yeah!” Bella shouts happily while standing up. “Come on, Rei!” She grabs Rei’s hand and tries to pull him up but fails.
“Fine, fine! Stop pulling so hard, you’re gonna rip my hand off!”
Rei huffs, getting up and walking towards the house.
“Have fun! Me and mom will come in in a bit!” Emma shouts, waving her hand. When the door closed, Emma looked back at Karin who was staring back at Emma. “What are you staring at, weirdo?” Emma teases.
“My beautiful fiancé, of course. Who else would I stare at?” Karin picked up Emma’s left hand and placed a kiss on her emerald ring. Emma tried to keep it together but couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “Hey! I’m trying to be romantic here!” Karin pouts.
“Sorry, sorry! I don’t even know why it’s so funny!” Emma apologized, still laughing hard. Karin enjoyed seeing Emma cheery like this, almost as much as she enjoyed seeing her last ni-
“That hurt my feelings. I’m not talking to you now.” Karin turned around so her back was to Emma, and crossed her arms.
Emma calmed down and placed a hand on Karin’s shoulder. She tried to pull back her shoulder to have Karin facing her, but the childish model wasn’t budging.
“Awe, I’m sorry, Karin.” Karin still didn’t budge. Emma moved around so she was facing Karin. Karin moved around once again, avoiding Emma. “Rei was right, you’re acting just like a child, Karin.” Emma teases, laughing lightly at her own joke. There was still no response from Karin, though.
Emma quickly moved around again but this time sitting down on Karin’s lap, making Karin unable to move again. Karin turned her head to the side, trying to avoid Emma, still. “Come on, Karin.”
“No, you were mean to me.”
“I apologized, what else do I have to do?” Emma said with a pout on her face. Karin turned her head from the side and looked into Emma’s teal eyes. Without saying anything, she taps her pink lips with her pointer finger. Emma smiles, realizing what to do. She goes to kiss her fiancé but Karin moved her head to the side, dodging the kiss.
“Hey!” Emma said with a frown on her face.
“That’s what you get for laughing at me earlier.”
Emma looks back at her girlfriend who still had a sad look on her face. “Okay, then. Since you’re acting like a child, I’ll have to solve this problem as if you were one.” Emma says, smirking. She moves her hands and starts to tickle Karin. She travels along her body, making Karin laugh uncontrollably.
“E-Emma! Stop! I’m trying to be mad at you!” Karin was barely able to say between laughs. Karin’s forearms suddenly stopped holding her up and she fell down onto her back. Emma continued tickling Karin, all while straddling her. Karin squirmed under Emma, laughing so hard that tears were starting to come out of her eyes. Emma stopped after a moment, feeling satisfied. She gets up off of Karin and lays beside her. Karin stops laughing and looks at Emma. “You meanie.”
“Maybe so, but you love me.” Emma said before pecking Karin on the lips. Emma moves her head so she was laying on Karin’s chest, while Karin wrapped an arm around Emma. “Doesn’t that cloud look like a piece of bread?”
“No way! That’s totally a high heel!”
