The thing about loss is—it teaches you to hold onto each day, like a prayer bead pressed under your fingertips. To thank each sunrise for keeping its promise—each night for its blanket of dreams.
Because time doesn’t heal all wounds. Never mind the scars. It's the ones that stay like deep valleys in your heart as if pieces have been carved out. Taken. Never to be whole again.
I look up at the sea of blue, split by new threads of light. Tomorrow has arrived and gone. Warmth washes over my waking senses as I gaze at the road ahead, the knocking of hooves guiding me forward.
Afar, I can see the fjord. The only constant of my tomorrows.
