Work Text:
A burning ocean, a drowning flame. A body covered with marks, a pair of soft lips planting little kisses. A sea full of high and low waves, a fire blazing with so many different colors. Long tousled strands of silky hair, small chubby fingers brushing them back in place. A peaceful calm beach sunbathing in a hot summer day, a gentle candle light sparkling brightly in a cold winter night. Two strong arms wrapped tightly around a fine slim waist. A burning ocean, a drowning flame. Jin and Kazuya. Water and fire. Contradictions unified so illogically perfect. A smile, blooming slowly on plump lips. Jin loves how they can get to these lazy comfy moments they have together right now after what they've been through. He loves it because they're rare, almost impossible but somehow they manage to make them happen.
Kame props himself up on an elbow, staring at Jin's eyes quietly. He reaches out and softly tucks a stray strand of hair behind Jin's ear before holding his face in his small palms, pressing a soft kiss on those lips once again.
"Thank you."
When he looks at Jin again, his eyes are not tired anymore. They are just utterly happy, glowing like stars. Jin doesn't answer, not with words. He opens up his arms, wide enough for Kame's tiny form to fit in. He doesn't need to say a word. Kame knows what. It's his turn. Kame knows Jin loves it soft. Soft and comfy and cuddly. Easy.
Jin's body is still a bit too hot when Kame calms down in his embrace. He slowly snuggles into that warmth, softly nuzzles his face in Jin's chest. With the sound of Jin's heartbeat in his ears, he lets his eyes fall close, breathing in his scent. Gentle pats on his side. A soft blanket tucking around him. Kame's lips curves up in a faint smile. Jin's asking for too much, too bluntly and Kame really wishes he could grant it but...
"I can't, Jin." He blinks his eyes open, turning around to face him with apologetic eyes followed by a bitter smile. "Sorry."
There it is the disappointed expression and those pouty lips. Jin tries to act cool and hide it but even he knows he's not that successful. His eyes give him away.
"Thought you were asleep." Jin massages behind his ear as if he's a little cat. Kame is not, but he likes it anyway. Lowkey, he wants to relax to the touch. He really wants to be the little kitty Jin pets.
"Stay," Jin mumbles quietly to his hair. Jin knows he can't, knows he shouldn't be greedy. Kame's been here longer than ever but he can't help it. He missed this. He missed Kame. Even a few more minutes is fine. Just... "just a little longer."
Kame thinks of tomorrow, thinks of work and his schedule and people waiting for him to be responsible and reliable, then looks at Jin, at his hopeful eyes and those little hickeys and his hands unsure of where to settle and sighs, hesitates.
He tries a smile, caressing Jin's cheek reassuringly but nothing makes Jin more relieved than Kame repeating, "Just a little longer." pressing a kiss on his forehead and giving him enough confidence to circle his arms around Kame's middle again, cuddling up to him tightly and finally letting sleep and exhaustion get the better of him and Kame knowing this lock of arms is not going to loose around him for quite a long time, thinks of his manager and his scolding and the extra hours he's going to stay up next week but honestly, he regrets nothing because the thought of waking up next to a ball of fluff clinging into him, stealing oversized hoodies and jeans and sipping American instant coffee while 30 minutes behind schedule sounds more appealing to him than getting up to a big empty bed, alone, cold and gloomy but right on time.
It might sound stupid, childish or almost impossible but somehow they always manage to make it happen in the end. They're fire and water, nothing matters to them anymore.
