Work Text:
Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi walked side by side as they watched the snowfall around them. They were both out to admire the snow as well as get hot tea to warm themselves up. Xiaoshi was practically freezing, underestimating how cold it was going to be. He gripped onto the paper cup even harder, desperately trying to use it to warm himself up.
“Cheng Xiaoshi,” Lu Guang called out, causing the latter to look at him, “Are you cold?”
“Me? Cold?” He asked, “Of course not…”
Lu Guang held his arm lightly, feeling him shiver.
“Are you sure?” Lu Guang asked.
Cheng Xiaoshi looked down at what he was wearing, realizing he was only wearing a light sweater. He didn’t expect it to snow and didn’t dress accordingly.
“I’m… cold,” it took him a while to admit.
He could hear Lu Guang sigh as he took off his jacket.
“You should really look at the weather forecast more,” he lectured as he draped his heavy black jacket over him, warming him up.
“What about you?” Xiaoshi asked, “are you not cold?”
“I’ll be fine,” Lu Guang played off as he took another sip from the scalding hot tea.
Cheng Xiaoshi sighed for a second, “I’m so lucky…” he muttered.
