After the first ever battery Kazuya and Eijun made, they got to know each other more than expected. They always texted each other, Kazuya teaching Eijun some things here and there, and few months later, they finally started dating.
Long distance relationships sure were hard, since Kazuya was always busy during their practice and the summer tournament.
Meanwhile Eijun, is trying to keep up with his studies. He wasn't very good at learning since he tends to fall asleep (lol).
When Eijun finally joined Seido, he didn't have it easy at all, he probably works two more times harder than the rest of the first years, special treatments are especially a no-no, though Kazuya trains Eijun at night to practice his pitches and fix their faults (their teammates are somewhat aware that the two were dating, though both of them dont even intend to hide their relationship.)
After the intrasquad game, Eijun finally got to the second-string. He started training with Chris, Eijun respected him alot since he heard what happened to him from Kazuya.
Eijun went all out in a practice match since Chris was the one who was gonna be catching, he had fun pitching to him. He even managed to get a 2-RBI hit because he was so focused. In the end he and Haruichi got a spot in the first-string. He was a bit gloomy since Chris didn't get a spot on the roster, but he managed to get over it.

It was now the first-string's time to be in a practice match, though Eijun is not on the starting lineup, since their coach told him to rest, no hope for the other matches too, he pouts.
"Stop pouting, coach is right, you need to rest too you know?" Kazuya says as he ruffles Eijun's hair.
"Then Kazuya, later ca-"
"No, Eijun you need rest. I'll catch for you during practice, okay?" Kazuya insisted, and started getting ready to bat next.
"Okay." Eijun sighs and practically melts in his seat.

Practice matches were finally done, and Eijun helped out on cleaning the dugout and the field. He was told that they were gonna watch a team called 'Inashiro' play and then pack up to go back to the dorms.
"Eijun?" A voice called out behind him, the voice seemed awfully familiar, though it was a tad lower than he was used to, so he turns around to confirm who it was. He sees a familiar person standing in front of him, though he's a bit shorter.
"Mei-chan?" Eijun gasps. "You're from Inashiro?!" He says as he hugs him a bit too tightly, and uncomfortably since Mei was a bit short.
"Nice to see you too, i guess." Mei sighs.
"You're in Seido now huh? Have they been treating you well? I haven't seen you since forever! You're- taller now, dammit." Mei whispered the last part (he's jealous of Eijun's height though canonically i think they're around the same height)
"Yes they have! I wish you thought me more about baseball!"
"Well, i was a kid too so i didn't really know much about it until now. Anyways do you have some more time? I want you to meet my team." Mei asks, seems like Eijun didn't really need to answer the question since Mei just started dragging him towards another field.

Kazuya just finished changing, 'till he noticed Eijun didn't really say what he was gonna do or where he'll be going, so he decided to look for him.
He immediately went to field A, where they held the practice match, he wasn't there.
'where could he even be?'
He was about to make his way towards Kuramochi or even the other First-string players, when a teammate of him says.
"Did you see that? Sawamura and Narumiya seemed really close, Sawamura even hugged him!" One of his teammates says. It made Kazuya look at him, and started approaching him.
"Where did they go?" Kazuya asks his teammate.
"Oh, in field B. Narumiya just started dragging h-" Before he could even finish his sentence, Kazuya was gone and was on his way to find Eijun.
He sighs. 'that guy is too over protective' He mumbled.

'That guy! I look away for one second and he's already gone with other players! What if they take information from Eijun?! He's too honest for his own good!' Kazuya scoffs, until he notices a familiar figure in field B. 'There he is! He really needs a scolding.'
"Oi, Eijun! I've been looking for you!" Kazuya says, it made Eijun and Mei look at him.
"Ohh, you two are already on first name basis huh?" Mei mumbles, just loud enough for both of them to hear (yes it was intentional.).
"So what?" Kazuya murmured, this time no one heard it and Mei couldn't care less.
Mei offers one of his shit-eating-grin and proceeds to answer "I got to that phase years ago! You're a bit too late."
'Years?!' Kazuya's eyes widened. What was Mei and Eijun's relation with each other, and why were they so close?
"Kazuya, we're childhood friends. He was the one who taught me baseball!"
"That's right, are you jealous, Kazuya?" Mei's grin widens, Kazuya wanted to wipe that smug grin he was wearing, but not in front of Eijun, especially since they're childhood friends.
"No, why would i? We play with eachother everyday." 'and im his boyfriend.' again, Kazuya with too much of a pride, didn't include the last part.
"Well, you never know! Let's go Eijun!" Mei continues dragging Eijun near their dugout, since the match wasn't starting yet, Mei introduced Eijun to his teammates.
'Mei, i swear to God!' Kazuya nearly wanted to roll his eyes, but didn't since that would be irrelevant. 'he's too cocky.' Kazuya sighs and went back to where Kuramochi and the others were.

"So Narumiya and Sawamura were childhood friends huh? What a coincidence." Kuramochi says as he gulps down the last bit of his water.
"For real?! Why did that brat never told us?!" Jun nearly wanted to crush the chopsticks he was holding but stopped once he remembered it was the last one.
"Well perhaps he never knew he was a part of Inashiro, makes sense right, Jun?" Ryousuke eyes Jun, the other scoffed.
"Yeah yeah, well go get him away from Narumiya! Sawamura just might say secret informations about us to Inashiro!" Jun muttered, the squad looked at him weirdly.
"What are you looking at? Damn it." Jun spat.
"You do know that Sawamura cares for this team deeply right? He's also not that dumb, have some trust on the guy." Tetsu defended Eijun, who has been observing the said boy ever since he went to Seidou.
"Okay okay fine!" Jun mumbles, feeling defeated the whole squad was against him and went to go get seconds.
Just as Jun left, Eijun returned looking refreshed, as if he was a puppy who just got pampered.
"What's up Sawamura?" Chris asked.
"They talked to me a bit about the basics of baseball, they thought i didn't know how to play so i told them about some practice pitches i have!" Eijun said proudly.
'We overestimated Sawamura Eijun, He's a complete idiot.' The whole teams thoughts were the same and they internally face palmed.
'That's why he looked happy, they must've praised him because he told them his pitches.' Kazuya thought to himself.
"Oh also-" The team looked back at him. "Mei-chan told me he had a changeup. Oh! And that he made it look like when he's pitching it, it looks obvious so that you guys will take notice of it!" Eijun added, 'looks like Narumiya is just as dumb.' The whole team chuckled and took turns on wrestling or rubbing his hair.
Meanwhile on the other team..
"You dumbass! Mei why would you say what pitches you have right now?!" Carlos hits Mei's head.
"Well i wanted to make Eijun a bit jealous and acknowledge me instead of that prick Kazuya so-"
"Still! You're ears are gonna go deaf after i tell coach what you just did!"
"Wait you're gonna tell on me?!" Mei gasps dramatically. "CARLOS YOU TRAITOR!" Mei shouts.

They left shortly after seeing Inashiro play, they went to the baths quickly since they wanted to rest their body.
Meanwhile Kazuya went to room 5 to be with Eijun a bit more before going to sleep.
As he opened the the door, the first thing he hears is-
"Ehh? So Narumiya was originally from Nagano aswell? Do you guys go up to mountains and fight bears or something?" Kuramochi asks teasingly.
"Kuramochi-senpai i already said we're not ninjas! Don't underestimate us!"
"Oi oi, How come you never told us from the start, Eijun?" Kazuya said. "Well i didn't know you and Mei-chan knew each other!"
"You and Mei-chan is also in first name terms right? How come YOU never told me anything about that huh?" Eijun asked the same thing.
"Well i didn't know you and Mei knew each other." Kazuya snickered, 'damn it' Eijun mumbles.
"Anyways, Miyuki Kazuya, what are you doing here?" Eijun glared at Kazuya, who pulled a grin in return.
"What? Can't i spend time with my precious boyfriend?" Kuramochi nearly gagged at that.
"You usually don't do that. I often go to your room first." Eijun mumbled. 'i know what this is about.' Kuramochi thought.
"I don't like you spending time with Mei, he's cocky." Kazuya blurted out startling both of the two roommates. 'Look who just spoke.' both of them said, internally sighing.
'Sawamura, you really have an awful taste. You just got yourself an overprotective boyfriend.'
The three of them spent the rest of their night playing video games, and talking about the game. Meanwhile a specific senpai hauled a convenience store, taking all of their pudding.
