Work Text:
Alex has always been the kind of person who likes to keep things in order. He knows perfectly well where everything is, and everything has its place, so it didn't take him long to look for something or to realize that something was missing.
When he died, he lost all his belongings and now he had to keep the few things he had in the attic of the studio. There were a few t-shirts folded on a chair, his rings, necklaces and bracelets stored in a box Julie had given him, and Willie's gifts placed on a shelf in plain sight. Luke used to say it was to show off that he had a boyfriend and Reggie defended him by saying that he thought it was cute and that at least someone was giving him things.
That afternoon Alex was sorting through his things and realized that his favorite hoodie were missing. He transported himself to Julie's room where he knew she and Reggie would be doing their makeup for the concert that night.
"Did one of you take my hoodie?" he asked with his arms crossed.
"No, honey, have you asked Luke yet?" Julie asked, running mascara over Reggie.
"Not yet, where is he?"
"He was playing basketball in the backyard" Reggie replied, trying not to move too much.
Alex nodded and went to the playground, where Luke was indeed playing.
"Luke, do you have my hoodie? "
"No, I wanted to steal it a while ago but I didn't see it"
"Where the fuck did it go?" whispered the drummer.
After a few hours of searching without success, he gave up. He knew he wouldn't need it, after all ghosts don't feel cold, but it bothered him not knowing where it was. During the concert he saw his boyfriend in the audience wearing one of his long-sleeved crop tops in a shade of pink very similar to his hoodie, but he was so far away that he didn't pay attention to him. When the concert was over, they headed backstage where Flynn and Willie were already waiting for them.
"There's my favorite rockstar!" Willie shouted, pouncing on Alex.
The blond almost lost his balance and took a few steps backwards, hugging his boyfriend's bare skin. Usually Willie wore something under his crop tops, but this time he wore nothing. When Willie pulled away, Alex gave him a sweet kiss on the forehead and stared at him for a few seconds, before realizing what he was wearing.
"William Ortega, is this my hoodie?"
"Do you like it? I took it last night before I left and made some changes to it, and look," he said, approaching Alex and showing him the edges of the sleeves "I bordered our names, one on each sleeve"
In this kind of situation, Alex would be angry and screaming by now, but the sweetness with which his boyfriend spoke, the proud smile he had as he showed what he had done and the sparkle in his eyes kept him from getting angry.
"It's beautiful, honey, but next time let me know you're going to take my stuff, okay?"
