Work Text:
Ganyu felt her eyes close ever so slightly, as she let her head dip, only to immediately revert back to her original position. This action made her seem ever so exhausted, and ever so exhausted she was. Even after countless times that she was told she could rest, she refused to succumb to such ideals. To her, there was always more work that could’ve been done, and taking a break would only set her back.
She kept her eyes open, admiring the large stack of papers and documents in front of her while lightly sighing. Her head hit the documents, but it felt like a pillow to her numbed brain.
It was a hassle to keep her eyes open, her eyes constantly closing. A sharp pain was present in her neck, a pain that she couldn’t ignore.
“So much more work…” she muttered under her breath in annoyance, but also fatigue. She wasn’t sure how much longer she could hold out, nor was she sure about her true limits. She saw colors she never did before and she knew it wasn’t a good thing. It felt nauseating to look at any longer, the coffee cup in the corner of her eye not helping.
Right, the coffee. Only then did she remember how long she hadn’t slept for. Five, five whole days off of nothing but coffee. Ganyu didn’t consider herself a procrastinator, it was to get this done or stay up for another few restless days. Clearly, her body did not agree with her ideals.
She laid down on the desk, drifting to deep sleep
“Ganyu? Ganyu?” Keqing called out, looking for the other. She burst through the door, obviously worried. The sight in front of her was alarming, but nothing out of the ordinary. She let out a quick breath as she looked at her peacefully snoring.
“At least she’s sleeping,” she said to herself softly as to not wake her up. She picked her up bridal style, placing her gently onto her bed.
“Sweet dreams.”
