Jeongyeon had been playing with some Legos the whole day. Nayeon, after hours of letting it pass and telling herself that she could use her time however she wanted, had enough of it and sat in front of her with crossed arms and a frown. Jeongyeon looked at her watch and then back at Nayeon with a sheepish smile.
"Time flies, huh?"
"You've been paying more attention to those bricks than to me."
"Sorry, I lost track of time. Let's go grab some dinner." she quickly stood up and offered her hand to the brunette.
"I'm too lazy to go out, let's watch something on Netflix, and there's leftovers from yesterday, we can eat that later"
"Sounds like a plan." Nayeon finally grabbed her hand and stood up, launching herself to the couch.
Jeongyeon had a hard time moving Nayeon, laying down first and settling Nayeon on top of her so she can hug her small frame.
They decide on some new drama Nayeon's been bugging Jeongyeon to watch for days, and even if it's not Jeongyeon's type of show, she agrees and doesn't regret it one bit when she sees her girlfriend's face light up with joy.
The show is quite good, they watch in confortable silence, making comments when something happens, sharing small touches and kisses from time to time.
"Yoo Jeongyeon."
"Hm?" She's taken aback by Nayeon's serious tone, and wonders if she's done something.
"I love you." A tiny voice accompanied by a quick kiss to Jeongyeon's neck.
"Yah! Don't use that tone, you scared me!" the blonde squirms from the kiss but doesn't push Nayeon off her, opting to just pout, something she knows Nayeon is weak for.
"Sorry, but I do love you." a quick kiss to the chin. "I love you a lot." another kiss.
Jeongyeon melts into it, and wraps her arms tighter around the smaller girl.
It's one of those rare moments when Jeongyeon is not pretending to be annoyed by her girlfriend's company, and actually returning her affection.
Nayeon looks into the pair of eyes that stare back at her with so much love she feels her heart might burst any minute.
She thinks about the time she realized that her feelings towards Jeongyeon were more than just friendly ones. She spotted the younger girl walking down a hall after a dance practice. Something about how breathtakingly beautiful she managed to look after hours of intense dancing, with red cheeks, hair sticking to her face, and slightly out of breath... it made Nayeon's heart flutter and she had to stop on her tracks to admire her.
It's been years since the moment Nayeon realized how she felt, it took her a year to finally talk about it with Jeongyeon, and it took said girl another year to stop being scared and accept her own feelings.
"What's on your mind?" Jeongyeon broke the silence and Nayeon thinks she must've been lost in her thoughts a little too long
"You." a simple answer.
Jeongyeon cracks a smile and caresses her girlfriend's cheek. She uses her free hand to pull the girl slightly up, and reaches to capture her lips in a soft kiss.
It's a slow kiss, the type they only get to enjoy every once in a while, when they're alone and free, no pressure from the company, from their schedules, from the press, from anyone. It's just them in their own little world, getting tangled in each other and savoring every second they get.
The older pulls away to catch her breath, but keeps herself close to Jeongyeon, their foreheads pressed together. She looks up after a while, wanting to get lost into her lover's eyes again.
Nayeon swears she can see sparks flying whenever Jeongyeon looks at her like that, with her loving eyes and slightly crooked smile.
She hopes they can stay like that forever, she wouldn't mind giving up everything for the person that makes her the happiest she's ever been.
