Chapter Text
“Thank you for your hard work today, Do Timjang-nim,” Kwon Joo smiled sweetly, observing Kang Woo's face with sparkling eyes.
Even though he was frowning a little bit, Kang Woo couldn’t divert his eyes from Kwon Joo’s. After a few seconds of silence, Kang Woo finally voiced his thoughts. “Centerjang, come with me for a second.”
Kwon Joo tilted her head. Now her brow furrowed slightly. She noticed Kang Woo who had walked through the lobby to a turnout in the corner. She quickly followed the man. They entered a large room filled with tables, chairs, and a few blue mattresses in the centre of the room.
“I got information about human trafficking from Dokki,” Kang Woo started to speak while sitting on one of the tables, crossing his arms in front of his chest with his eyes looking at Kwon Joo. “My partner used to go after the head of that human trafficking organization before—"
Even though Kang Woo didn't finish his sentence, Kwon Joo understood and nodded her head. She sat on the table on his right side, paying full attention to him.
Kang Woo sighed. “So, there is information that the trafficking will be under the guise of an antique auction. There's a couple who said they were going to take part in the auction, and they're being detained right now."
"So?"
Kang Woo's eyes looked straight into Kwon Joo's. “I want you to go undercover with me.”
"What?" Kwon Joo blinked. “I've never done undercover before. And throughout my career, I was almost always on the phone at the Call Center. Wouldn't it be better if you brought in another more experienced agent?”
Kang Woo shook his head. “The man is of Japanese descent; he can speak Korean and Japanese. The woman is South Korean, speaking English and Korean. The ones that best fit the criteria are you and I, even by age. And I don't want to take anyone on this mission but you."
Kwon Joo glanced at Kang Woo, feeling slightly flattered. After a few seconds, Kwon Joo finally nodded her head. "Okay. Where will this auction be held?”
“Kyoto, Japan.”

"So you two will become husband and wife?" Eun Soo widened her eyes in disbelief. She looked suspiciously at Kang Woo who was sitting on the other side of the table. That man had only been a team leader for a few days and suddenly he wanted to take Centerjang-nim on a mission with just the two of them? How could Eun Soo not be suspicious?
Kwon Joo who sat next to Kang Woo smiled a little. "That's how it is."
“Are you going to be okay, Centerjang-nim?” Seo Yool stood leaning against the file cabinet while looking at Kwon Joo worriedly.
With a small smile, Kwon Joo nodded her head. She turned to Kang Woo. "What do you think would be a suitable nickname?”
Kang Woo glanced at Kwon Joo for a while before closing his eyes and leaning his back fully against the back of the chair. "Whatever."
“Yeobo (darling)?” Seo Yool thought, and instantly three pairs of eyes glared at him. He shrugged his shoulders innocently.
Eun so takes her eyes off Seo Yool and back to Kwon Joo. “Oppa?”
“It's awkward, but I think it's the most suitable,” Kang Woo chimed in with Eun Soo's words in a flat tone, then closed his eyes again unfazed. "Try saying it."
"What?" Kwon Joo turned to Kang Woo with wide eyes. "Do Timjang-nim."
“You should quickly get used to my new nickname, Jung Soo Young,” Kang Woo casually called Kwon Joo's pseudonym. He opened his eyes slightly, squinting at Kwon Joo. "Quick, say it."
Kwon Joo slightly pursed her lips before speaking in a voice as small as an ant. "Oppa."
Kang Woo opened his right eye, using it to glance at Kwon Joo. "Try adding my name."
“Shin Ji Ho Oppa,” Kwon Joo got goosebumps when she said it, then she pursed her lips as she turned to Eun Soo. She thought Eun Soo would also feel awkward with the nickname she said earlier, but in contrast, she smiled widely. Kwon Joo frowned, slightly annoyed that Eun Soo wasn't on her side.
“Get used to it,” Eun Soo said, clearing the files on the desk as she stood up. "You two just need to get used to calling each other sweetly for these two days, then leave in a state that you are used to that calling and become a married couple for four days."
Seo Yool helped Eun Soo clean up the files, then after the two agents bowed their goodbyes, they left the room. Now there were only Kwon Joo and Kang Woo in this closed room.
“Soo Young-ah, you need to get used to calling me Oppa,” Kang Woo spoke casually with his eyes still closed. "Don't let our disguises be discovered just because you called me the wrong name."
“I will try my best—" Kwon Joo replied after sighing, she almost called Kang Woo as Timjang again. "Oppa."
Kang Woo tried hard to hold back his smile, but it didn't seem to work because he could hear Kwon Joo's breathing which was also like holding back a laughter. The two of them tried to be professional as usual, and it was Kwon Joo who cleared her throat and stood up first.
“I will return to the Call Centre. You can go back to your office." Kwon Joo walked past Kang Woo's chair when she suddenly felt a tug on her wrist. She turned her head, realizing Kang Woo was now holding her hand. “Do Timjang-nim?”
"Thank you." Kang Woo opened his eyes, speaking with a straight face, then put something in Kwon Joo's hand before releasing his hand from her. "For helping me."
Kwon Joo came out of the meeting room with coffee toffee in her mouth.
