Work Header

Thank you

Summary:

It was true, Tenya never saw how Tooru looked, but it never mattered to him. She was so much fun to talk to and so very smart, despite her grades in U.A. She was always especially caring and sweet, putting others first and making sure to always be a role model.

Now sitting across from her as their daughters argued, Tenya was really glad to have married her, even if she was just “a floating uniform”.

Work Text:

Tenya was on the verge of crying.

Why?

Well currently he was being beaten at uno by three girls, one his wife and the other his twin toddlers, who didn’t even know how to play!

“Uno!” Mei, the one twin with long brown hair and blue eyes, shouted. “Draw Daddy!” Kei, dark blue hair and blue hair, demanded with a wicked smile. Tenya sighed while Tooru giggled.

“This isn’t funny.” He grumbled at his wife.

“It’s kinda funny.” She replied, and from her tone, Tenya could tell she was smirking, despite her being invisible.

That was one thing that a lot of people judged about their relationship. Tooru was invisible and that came with a lot of intrusive questions, whether just her or about their relationship. They were still extremely personal.

Some ask how they “did it” or to straight up say how weird and unnatural it was to have a wife you couldn’t see.

“Tenya.” Tooru said, causing him to look at her, or more the direction. “It’s your turn.”

“Oh! Of course.” He did his turn.

“Finally!” Kei complained, going on with her turn. Mei slapped Kei’s hand. “You can’t put a red two on a blue 9!”

“I just did!”

Tooru giggled, but composed herself to intervene. “Kei, you know you can’t do that, and Mei, don’t hit your sister.”

“But she was the one—“

“No I wasn’t!”

“Yes!”

“Kei you’re so stubborn!”

“No you are!”

“Girls!”

Immediately both stopped and gave full attention towards their mother. They bowed their heads. “Sorry mommy.” They said in unison.

“It’s okay. Now how about we start on dinner?”

“Yeah!” They cheered.

Kei and Mei sped off towards the kitchen.

“They are something else.” Tenya sighed. Tooru nodded. “That they are.” Tenya stood up, cleaning up the cards.

A thick sweater and black leggings with pink slippers came over towards him, and he felt arms wrap around him. Tenya smiled and put his hands on her waist and looked at the place where her eyes would be. Over the years, Tenya got good at sensing where she was and where parts of her body were.

He felt lips on his and he was quick to kiss back, holding her tighter. Tooru pulled away and laid her head on his chest. “Thank you.”

“For what?” He asked, running his hands up her back.

“For everything. For marrying me..having kids with me even though I’m, you know, invisible.” Tenya cupped her cheek. “No thank you. Thank you for marrying me and giving me the chance to be a father. I’m so thankful to have a wife like you.”

He felt tears run over his fingers.

“I love you so much!” Squeezing him tightly.

“I love you too.”

Tenya and Tooru spent the rest of the night making dinner with Kei and Mei, enjoying their time as a family.
